Our cats have received excellent care at Beattie's. In particular Dr. Laroque and Dr. Featherstone were caring and wonderful to deal with!
They were extremely caring and professional when I had to put dog to sleep.
I am away for the long weekend. My boss texted me to ask if I could bring his dog in to get his paw looked at, it might be broken. I told him I was away and would be back tomorrow if no one else was available. I called to book an appointment and they said that they would not take him, simply because I could not get to him in today. My regular vet referred me here because they would be closed the long weekend. I am baffled by the by the attitude I received from reception. Either way, if I am taking the dog in I cannot until tomorrow and I don’t understand why you would refuse me. I guess they don’t want my business and do not care for my animals health.
Pet owners, beware!! Avoid clinic at all costs..the staff here do not care for your pets...they have a negative attitude and have no empathy..Dr. Devshi should lose his license because he is clearly incompetent.
Very bad customer service and lack of communication. Nothing is ever their fault it's always yours. They set appointment then when you call to confirm they say that they don't see any notes about it and will have someone call you back and never do. Then call you and wondering why your not at the schedule appointment. They tell you to come in and when you arrive they inform you the ultra sound specialist had left and is longer there. Leading up to ultra sound appointment vet couldn't figure out the problem and kept feeding meds that didn't help at all. Also repeated the meds months later even though they didn't work the first time. So now must find a new vet and start this process over again. Be warned
I called to refill my dogs prescription and receptionist was rude I called her a name and got kicked out leaving my dog with a ear infection and no doctor
0/5 stars - I called to get some advice on my dog and they wouldn't offer anything. I understand nothing can be diagnosed over the phone but even the tiniest bit of guidance on how to soothe my dog while waiting for an appointment would have been nice.. and professional. All I got was a rude lady who kept repeating "Make an appointment. No. No." and that's all she had to say during the entire call. To the owner - Do you employees really love animals? Sounded like someone is in the wrong profession. I was thinking about being a client since I moved to Brantford but I'd rather drive an hour to my previous vet.
I appreciate the care thank you for being patient and informative, and also helpful.
Not sure why this location is rated as a 3 star. Staff were overly nice, helpful and the prices are fair. What’s not to like?
Very happy with their service...drive from Cambridge to Beattie in Brantford is worthwhile as they always take care of our dog.
Always great vets and staff to treat my pets. Helpful and understanding to all my furbabies needs and my wallet lol . Been going to the Brantford location for over 30 yrs and trust them
"I have been going to this business for decades and have always had a positive experience at Beattie Animal Hospital. Caring, experienced staff - and not overpriced"
Customer service? it's all about money! took my dog (in heaven now) as she had some strange caught. The hospital it's excelente as the price is very good (except the x-ray). But with the x-ray we saw the problem and try to fix: first bill: $400. well 2 days after not getting better brought back and more pills! 2nd bill: $60 3 days later my dog could not breath and in a emergency and God I wish she didn't soufer with a lot pain killer but had to put down because without $3.000 u can't be seen at University of Guelph (and if u ever need apply for pet loan pls do in business hours because if your dog need a surgery 3am consider dead and no matter your credit hating!) anyway I have 3 banks account but I only had 1 debit card on me. after Sent money to the bank that I had the possession of the card the all 3 banks online is in maintenance. I after showed and proved that I had money but I could not do anything as wasn't my fault my dog had to wait to be "put down" only after payment was mad. U HAVE NO CLUE HOW ANGRY/PAINFUL IS WHEN U CANT EVEN MAKE YOUR LOVE ONE STOP SOFFERING FAST AS THE TRANSACTION BEEN DECLINED AND I WAS WITH THEM. FOR 7 YEARS! ever when u can't do nothing because they just don't care. "wheres my money? have a good day"! excelente staffs and doctors and everything else excellent but in my momment of lost u could at leat respect AND made the pain of the poor any al to stop but no money. Must to be in my they account first. Horrible
They took very good care of Milo
Could've cared less about my great Danes flipped stomach. I'm not a vet but I could tell from the x-rays she had flipped her stomach. After ten hours of them trying to get more X-rays finally she went for surgery. The vet who performed the operation was very happy that my dog didn't have a tight flip or by that time I would be saying goodbye. They also managed to screw up simple IV and now my Dane gets swollen paws everytime it gets cold. Which never happened before and the staff admitted to the mistake. The stress was unbelievable for my Dane, family and I. I've also had problems with them doing spaying and neutering of cats. They claim to be cheaper or some other excuse but if you love your animal and want the best possible care I suggest going to a different vet clinic. Also they go through staff like water which is a really bad sign.
I love Beattie, I have taken all of my pet's there and it is always a good experience. I unfortunately don't live in the area anymore but sometimes still make the out of town drive for this location. They are personable, knowledge, kind and affordable. They don't try and push for things you don't need and seem to genuinely care about the pet. The staff will also answer general questions on the phone instead of requiring you to come in when it is not needed.
We have been taking our two dogs here. We always end up waiting at LEAST an hour beyond our appointment time. Once they even forgot about us while we sat for an hour and a half waiting for a vet. Dogs were coming and going after our appointment. When I finally asked how much longer it would be, the vet was coincidentally available at just that moment. Tonight we had another appointment. When my husband got there, they told him he had the wrong appointment time because they booked it incorrectly. While Beattie might be the cheaper option in terms of vet care... I'm thinking there's a reason for it. We are going to look elsewhere. Edited to add a response to the company's answer: While I understand and appreciate that wait times may be increased due to COVID19, these wait times were the norm before COVID even hit. My mom used to take her dogs to Beattie as well, and has also switched to due the ridiculous amount of time spent waiting past the actual appointment time. Also PRE-COVID. So, again, while I understand and appreciate that COVID may increase wait times, I'd like to know what your reasoning is for the long waits before Covid was even a thing.
I brought my dogs into this place, it was the only place open, the reason being is that they accidentally ate some grapes, I was in a panic so I forgot my debit card; when I got there they refused to do anything unless they received payment. The doctor said that she was very sorry but she needed to get paid first. I understand that they have a business to run and the doctor did say that people have ran before without paying; I still find it morally disturbing.
It's very reassuring to have a 24hr animal hospital nearby.
Very pleasant, haven’t had any issues.
This clinic has consistently poor service and a high turnover of vets. My dog never sees the same vet twice. Today I waited an hour after my appointment time for yearly vaccinations, before leaving without service. Staff was inattentive and my dog was upset and nervous for an hour. I have been a client for 10 years but I will not be back! There are many other excellent vets in the area, I plan to find one.
Very well maintained and polite people like doctors, receptionists and nurses !! Thank you for the services!!
They have always been amazing with my dog, the dogtors are all amazing and penny loves them all. Thank you for always helping me to take great care of my girl ???????? they are not just about trying to make money they actually care about you and your pet which is extremely important.
I had to say goodbye to my cat last weekend and I cannot thank the staff enough for the compassion and help I received from them. If we ever decide to add another pet to our family I will be returning.
Absolutely horrified after taking my pup for a nail trim at beatties vet.. They clipped her nail in wrong spot last night, I noticed IMMEDIATELY and called... They assured me she was ok and no problem.. We wake up today and she's chewed her entire paw right up her leg, and the nail is clearly split from where they accidently clipped (but refuse to admit). Now I'm getting charged for their mistake, and my poor pups been shaking for an hour while we wait for them to figure it out...absolutely no accountability whatsoever ..
Thanks for fixing Ruby's eyes. My poor girl has had this cherry eye issue for a while, and has had a long journey to get them fixed. We're glad she is back home and on the mend. Thank you for taking great care of our girl.
I have been bringing my female cat to Beattie Animal Hospital for the past 12, almost 13 years now. I've had her spayed here when she was still just a few months old, with no complications. And when she would get sick, which thankfully has only been twice in her 12 years, the staff at Beatties always treated her with care and the Veterinarian always prescribed the right medications. She is always on time with her vaccines and I truly believe that it is with these vaccines, that she is still with me today. I love my precious baby girl and I say 'baby' bcuz even though she is a senior cat now, she is still full of spunk lol full of life! Did I mention that she was the runt of the litter? She'll always be my baby and I'll continue to take her to Beattie Animal Hospital, hopefully for another 12/13 years ????
Thank you for the great service you provided my cat, I am glad we have you close by.
Asked a rough price average for dental, the person wasn’t able to give me any information and was repeating herself. She mentioned it’s rule not to give any dental info over the phone, which seems to be ridiculous, as I’m in Toronto and this clinic was recommended to me. Unfortunately I won’t come to them if I don’t know the average at least or at least a dental price example from an earlier case in the clinic, and driving 2 hours for an exam and then they give me a extra high price estimate, no thanks.
WHATEVER YOU DO ... DO NOT GO TO THIS SHADY PLACE!! I thought my dog had a tick on him. So I called ahead and asked how much it was to remove it. The receptionist told me that it was free for tick removal. I asked twice to make sure. I proceeded to make an appointment to get the tick removed. When I arrived the first person to look at the tick had no idea whether it was actually a tick or not, so they brought the vet in. He looked at it and said it wasn't a tick. He mentioned that he noticed my dog had fleas, so I said "Yeah, we know, we will buy some flea treatment while we are here please". All this vet did was weigh him, then look at the presumed "tick" (which was nothing) and said "He has fleas".. which we already knew. We spent about 2 minutes with the vet. We went to the check out counter and they charged us 60 dollars for a "Consultation Fee". I said no, and that I was here to see if there was a tick that needed to be removed, and I was told it was free. Yes, they noticed a flea, but I already knew that and knew I had to buy some anyway. They refused to give me a refund, and the vet hid in the back and didn't come talk to me about this silly "Consultation Fee". I know that Harris Animal Hospital would NEVER charge this in this case, and when you actually DO need a full physical for your pet, it's only $30.00. Overall a terrible visit, I will never come back here again, and I'm going to post everywhere I can find about how awful and shady this place is.
Beattie has very rude staff especially the receptionist. Asked for something for tick prevention for my dog, was given advantage which only covers flees. They would not let me exchange it for something else with tick coverage, $110 wasted. Also when I phoned to pick up the prescription, Amanda the receptionist was was very rude telling me it wasn’t ready, even after telling her I received a text message update. She abruptly hung up on me saying if it was ready she’d bring it out. And click, does not even wait for a response. I would never take my dog there for care because of very poor exploitive service but decided it would be okay just for medication. Of course I was wrong. I would never recommend ever taking your pet there, they will charge you for whatever they possibly can and be very rude on top of it.
Constantly waiting. They overbook and make you wait well over an hour. The service is okay depending on who you get. It's hard to rate how well they do their jobs. Our dog is alive so I suppose that's a win. The cost is exorbitant. I wouldn't recommend them.
The Stoney Creek location has been a great help to me and my furbabies since it opened. Before that I faithfully went to your Brantford location Sometimes there is a little wait time, but always worth it... I personally have NEVER had an issue with Beattie. You've helped my babies live life to the fullest and when they needed the help, you so respectfully helped my babies to rest. I would be so lost and stressed if it wasn't for you. Thank you all so much
DON'T BRING YOUR PET'S HERE.
Great service & explanations
Amazing service by ALL staff
Dr. Featherstone and Dr. O'Brian are amazing. Ashley at the front desk is so friendly and helpful.
Number one in our books, and our Dr is the best . at beattie animal hospital,,We found the service great, Walter and Joan Tracey,
Not our normal vet, but they are the closest ones open on holidays. Our big spazy retreiver seems to perfer getting sick on holidays. The vets and techs at Beattie are super freindly and helpfull. They made our girl feel at ease when she wasnt feeling well.
I would like to know when they are going to publicly advertise or FB post they do not accept unvaccinated pet owners whether they are new or long standing customers. What's the matter, masks and distancing is not enough for you covid freaks?
They know Greyhounds and dote on the animals. You can tell they love animals.
We arrived early for a yearly vaccinations appointment, just to be put into a room and left to wait for over an hour and twenty minutes after our scheduled time. We originally chose Beattie for the emergency service and good reviews from friends. Only to be turned away the one time we need to use the emergency clinic. We've never had the same vet or tech twice, or have been allowed to stay with our pet for the appointment. We will be taking our business to Paris. Don't bother with this clinic unless you want subpar service without saving a penny. Our business is lost here.
Every time....always late! Appointment is 10:40am. I'm waiting in an examining room for over 30 minutes. Ridiculous waits. Time for a new vet. Get your sh!t together, Beattie!!!!
Horrible place. Very demeaning. There are plenty of other clinics to choose from. Ones who actually care.
Called to book a litter for dew claws, was told to call while mom is in labor, did just that and am told they are booked and cant get me in, sucks when you have a 48 hr window and try to be proactive and get screwed over. Not impressed. How hard could it be To make an appointment especially when calling weeks in advance. I'm still waiting to hear back from customer service??? Thanks for the reply of your poor review!
The care here is always the best. It's very easy to get appointments to suit any schedule. All the staff are incredibly kind
Place is clean, price is good, staff are friendly and understanding of my dogs needs. Very satisfied.
At such a hard time as my cat was suddenly passing away they got me in right away on a sunday not even being a client of theirs. They were compassionate and so kind helping me understand he had a liver disease and i could easily see he was suffering so i knew the best thing was to put him down the staff and doctors were well worth the hour trip! Caring and kindness are not qualities you see everyday anymore. 10/5 stars. Thank you to everyone here i appreciate it.
Always very helpful. We are glad they are here to help us with our four legged kids!
Dr.Bekhit was very informative and through. I would recommend him as a veterinarian.
Waited in the parking lot for an hour+ on Monday, was told a dog was hit by a car, fair enough emergencies happen. Waited another hour + today, no explanation. when I said I wasn't happy to the receptionist about the wait, she chastised me for making an appointment after work (I assume it would be more convenient for them if I burned a vacation day to waste time waiting in their lot instead). When my dog was finally seen I recieved a call back in less than 5 minutes. Apparently that was all it took for the vet to exert their expert eye and assess my dog's health. I was charged $60 for this "consultation" (which I was told was necessary to purchase the flea and tick prevention medication we needed). But maybe the lowest point was all the upselling to match this great experience. I was Asked if I wanted to have her microchipped today, which surprised me because previously with another dog they gave us the hard sell that it was best to have her chipped while undergoing anesthetics already, heavily implying this would save us money (only sedating once) and be more comfortable for the dog. Today apparently it is a quick procedure you can simply get on the go.
Nothing there are a few girls that are nice in here some that are just plain down right not . I'm not happy with my visit here period my dog even wanted to refuse to go in .
I called on Sunday in a complete panic as there was something terribly wrong with my Rottie was told to bring him in right away ..he had to be carried to the car and i was about to load him in and got a call from the receptionist at BEATTIES saying that SORRY but someone had walked in with another emergency and they couldn't take my dog ARE U KIDDING ME???? Said I would have to take him to the after Hours vet and to call and hopefully they could fit us in This is how they take care of their patients??? UNEXCEPTABLE ..by this time i was beyond distraught as i knew my beloved boy was in trouble Long story short he was having a stroke and by the time we got him to after hours clinic on Lynden rd who btw were amazing but it was too late ???? At 7 years old our dog had to be put down..u can imagine how devastated we were I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND BEATTIE HOSPITAL IN BRANTFORD EVER NOR WILL I EVER GO THERE AGAIN This is how U treat a client of 20 years UNEXCEPTABLE SHAME ON U!!!!
went there years ago my puppy boxer was struck by a car. Only had some small cuts and a tiny hole on her leg. Cost me over 1000 bucks to clean her wounds and stitch the hole up. Haven't been back since over priced for what I had done for my puppy. Found better veterans and better prices then beatties veterans.
I have brought our cats here twice now in the last 2 months and have spent about $1000. We brought our 3 indoor cats in for flea treatment and vaccinations. When we came less than a month ago we were told all our cats needed thier last booster shot. When we arrived they then informed us that we were over due on one cat by 8 weeks and we would have to pay for all new vaccinations?? When we were just told last appointment that we would be ok. And 2/3 cats needed to wait another 8 weeks before she should have vaccinations. 3/3 cat was ok to continue. So the vet conducted 2 healthy pet exams 50$ each on two cats that were recieving vaccinations. At that point we were looking at 200$ then we continued with flea medications that were very expensive 120 for 2 cats 70 for the kitten. they informed us that fleas can carry tape worm parasites so we would need to give medication to all 3 cats to prevent this 80$. Since the vet already checked their fur with a thin comb brush and seen flea debris and prescribed flea medication. Vet said she would need to health pet examine the last cat because she had to prescribe the last cat tape worm medication even though she already seen the flea debris on her for again 50$. They do not care about their patients or their patients pets. They are a chain cooperation who just are looking for money not reliable customer service based on our experience. Would have been nice to know at the beginning that its 50$ per cat for an exam and was not 50$ a trip which we were told prior to visiting this appointment. Vet did not seem to be patient orientated and seemed to be quite out of her lead with 3 cats when she should be able to handle it since it's her career.
Always a good experience. I like coming here, staff is friendly, good service, affordable prices. Seamus likes coming to the vet now.
Good friendly service my dogs needs were met and they were careful not to over stress him with unneccassay treatments.
Very friendly and caring service. Didn't push any unneeded services and kept to the game plan.
They don't seem to care about their customers or their pets. Worst animal hospital ever! My dogs will never again go near that place. I'm disgusted!
If I could give a negative review I would. The absolute worse animal hospital I've ever seen. Took our dog in March 2020. The first lock down had just happened. My wife and I own a few business and I had lost my full time day job. So our funds were extremely low. We were waiting on some assistance. We took our dog to our regular Dr that being Beattie. Our dog was clearly not in good shape. The vet only gave her a shot. Did not do any exams what so ever or anything. The next morning we called them back stating our dog was much worse and was not able to walk. They refused to do anything at all unless we first paid the $80.00 from the prior day and all other thing that would needed to be done paid up front. Once again we were 1 week in to the first lock down and all forms of income were 0. We had money coming a week out. The first vet we called afterwards was more than willing to work with us. We worked out a payment plan which was pain within one week. Less than 24hours after going to Beattie our dog was dead. The vet at the 2nd place said we should get a lawyer. We were told that if our dog got the proper care the first time she would almost 100% still be alive. For the past year I have been getting threating phone calls over the $80.00. DO NOT GO HERE IF IT'S AN EMERGENCY IF YOU WANT YOUR ANIMAL TO LIVE. Horrible horrible heartless people. Beattie killed my dog all because of money.
Cant say enough about these guys! They are a step ahead of the rest!
I’m not sure what has happened over the past couple of years but I must say I am truly shocked by the treatment I received over the phone. I called this morning with respect to my dogs emergency as she was bleeding all over my home, I have never experienced this type of emergency before. I expressed this to the receptionist on the phone that this was an emergency my dog was bleeding and she told me today on the phone this morning that there was nothing that they could do and to look elsewhere perhaps in the Hamilton surrounding areas She then even offered me a appointment on Friday it is Monday, my dog might be dead by Friday ? It is quite visible that Beattie animal hospital has truly let their customer service and professionalism go down the drain it is a sad day to say that I will be moving my file from this location and any affiliates as such. I have expressed this to over my 5000 followers on social media. Spend your time and money elsewhere !
I love coming here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. When my dog has been sick they’re always very gentle with him and genuinely concerned. That makes me feel better about him being sick as well as him too. They really care about us and do a great job at keeping him well. THANKS BEATTIE!!
Wonderful caring people. Thank you to the doctors and tech’s who have helped us out. Dr. Mackay was very informative, compassionate and caring. Much appreciated.
Tried to charge me for unnecessary procedures. I have always had small issues with my bill at this vet. Things like charging for a cone when I didn’t receive one or charging the price for a dog that weighs much more than my dog does, but I thought they were just little mistakes. I have taken my dog here since she was a puppy. (Five years) every year she got an exam and her shots. I also bought their very expensive flea/tick treatment every year and used it as directed. I just took her in for her yearly exam and was told by the technician that my dog had never been treated for ticks or mosquitoes and needed a heart worm test. This surprised me as I have always been adamant about flea and tick treatment because we go for walks by the river often. When the doctor came in I asked him about it and he said that my dog had been properly treated and did not need the heart worm test. When he left the room I heard the technician arguing with him in the back about it. Then the technician came in to do the test And I said I felt the doctor was right and my dog did not need to be tested for something she had always been treated for. The technician argued with me as well and said the flea treatment I used only covered fleas and not ticks. So I asked her why they would sell me that product when I had been very adamant about having tick treatment. She had no answer for me but kept insisting they do the test. The doctor apologized and explained that he was new and didn’t know how they do things there. When I got home I looked through my records and found that my dog had been treated every year with the k9 Advantix II which covers fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. I don’t understand why they would lie just to make a few extra dollars. Make sure you read you bill over carefully and ask lots of questions or they will gouge you every chance they get!
The best vet visit I’ve ever experienced. I’m dropping my other vet and becoming a regular here. Everyone is friendly, professional and the service is great. Knowledgeable staff and their prices aren’t bad either.
N/A
Dr. Bowsett's approach with Dana with us is exemplary. she is very kind and gentle. Staff are great too. Friendly, knowledgeable and caring A++
Very unpleased with my appointment today... we took my puppy in and the vet we had Dr. Amjad hussain was very unpleasant for my puppy... he was trying to do a check up on her and became very nervous when she started pulling away because she didn’t like what he was doing... pulling open her mouth , etc etc (I do this all the time to her to make sure everything is good and she’s never had a problem with me doing so) she then opened her mouth because she was hot and panting and he says “she’s trying to bite me , do we need a muzzle” Anyone who knows my puppy knows she is super friendly and sweet and has never showed aggression to anyone or even tried to bite anyone...
The staff are so busy during COVID and are always so kind you can tell they all love animals so much! Great experience every time and make not only my pets feel comfortable but also me!
Staff are rude and incompetent!!! Don't bring your pets here!! They don't care about animals!!!
Good service, good timing, good care, and good P.R.
Don't take your animals here they are nothing but money hungry crooks and they will threaten you with the SPCA if you don't give in to them. They Should have there license revoked
We had to put our 15 year old lab down and the vet was absolutely amazing. She was extremely gentle and understanding and made the experience so much more confortable for us.
Dr Bekhit was very informative and thorough. I would recommed him as a veternarian
This was our first visit, I brought two of my dogs here today! They each were getting a rabies vaccination. We had a great experience! The staff were very polite and welcoming. We shall return ????????????
Great service very friendly staff. The Veterinarian was very great on answering questions took the time to answer any questions or concerns we have had. Would definitely be bringing my cat their when needed .
Not only do you have to be double vaccinated to be a client, they want you to pay outrageous amounts before starting life saving treatment without actually knowing the root cause. Our dogs kidney's were failing randomly (no previous history, VERY healthy), they wanted 1500 upfront before treatment even started and then changed it to almost 2000 up front and they did not even know why it was happening. We went to Fairview Vets, VERY kind staff there and do NOT ask for funds up front. Good luck getting double vaccinated clients, they will be the only ones to put up with the rude vets and absolutely outrageous fees and policies. So glad we decided to never go back same as the rest of our family.
The staff at Beattie are professional and friendly and they just make your pet feel so special. This morning I took my wee Hannah - a Shih-Tzu for the first time and they were attentive and did not try to "up-sell" me. The facility is well maintained and I can have Hannah taken care of, boarded and groomed all in one place, causing less stress for her. The prices are excellent. I was actually shocked and expected the bill to be twice what it was.
Absolutely horrible service. Travelled more than an hour and a half for our appointment, was stuck in traffic so we got there literally three minutes late and they refused to take our pup in. We explained the situation to them, lady at the front desk was VERY disrespectful and rude showing tons of attitude. Again we were only three minutes late to our scheduled appointment. Will not be going here ever again, do not recommend to anyone else as i've heard previous clients had a lot of difficulties with them as well. Would not even give one star
I wish I could give it no stars.. I just left there as my small dog needed a cone to prevent a Hotspot getting worse.. the woman behind the counter was ignorant as my small dog is timid and tends to pee when scared. I offered to clean it up as I was embarrassed.. she was extremely rude to me and made me feel horrible. I then asked how I was to put the cone on my dog.. she then gave me the dirtiest look and told me to shove it over his head. Your customer service seriously sucks and I will never ever return.
Took my pregnant Bengal in, one of their vets said something was wrong and I'd need an x-ray. Forked over money for an x-ray. He said fetus may have died inside of her I'd need blood work. Forked over money for blood work. Waited a few days went back in for results. Another vet TRIED TO HIDE A SMIRK while he told me the fetus had indeed died inside my cat and I'd need to operate soon or she would die!!! I no longer believed the vets at this place so took her to another vet. He felt her stomach and said 'I can feel kittens in there. She seems fine.' A few weeks later she gave birth to 6, count em, 6 healthy kittens! I cannot believe the dispicable person who would lie about this kind of thing to get more money. What were they going to do with the live kittens after they cut them out? Toss them in a dumpster? Throw them in the incinerator? Absolutely disgusted. Will never go near this place again and I tell EVERYONE this story who asks for a vet in Brantford.
My dog received a thorough check-up from head to toe and all my questions were answered. I love that my pets can receive care 24/7.
They always take excellent care of our babies.
little pricey
After trying out a few vets in Brant County, I now use Beatties all the time. My Aussie X was very ill a year ago, at the age of 11 with pyometra (severe uterine infection). Dr. Erin Fuller, a most compassionate veterinarian, operated on her that very night and removed the uterus, which had been leaking into the gut. She must have done a wonderful job since Panda is now almost 13 years old, is still walking with us twice a day and has never looked better. I find this clinic to be clean, and their boarding kennels above average, with 24 hour supervision. The prices are better than most and their care is perhaps the best I've experienced.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. DO NOT GO HERE! I called this morning and explained my cat was screaming in pain and yelling, and wouldn’t let me touch him, and all I got back was “yeah sorry we won’t be able to take him until Sunday”. Sunday!? If you’re a vet your one main job is to help animals…. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE SCREAMING IN PAIN. If I were you, I’d never give this vet I second thought.
Charging 6$ a can for royal canine urinary S/O, while I buy at other vet clinics for $2.79 a can, embarrassing and exploiting their customers. If they’re doing this to medicated food our animals require I wonder what else they are doing it to. Avoid this place if you can.
Most staff are friendly toward you and their customer your pet. Prices are reasonable until you get into prescriptions surgery which case they start taking advantage of you. This company certainly has changed over the past 12 years and it's not for the better.
Never go here we did and they had on staff a vet who didn't even know how to check the pressure in my dogs eye after making us wait one hour.Credentials should be check at this clinic!!!!
Always check your bill, I had been going there for years and always found extra things added to the bill, or charges based on a dog that weighs significantly more than my dog. When you question them they argue with you and will accuse you of not caring for your pet if you don't pay for extra medications and tests that weren't asked for or necessary. They take advantage of people's unconditional love for their pet and bleed them dry. They draw people in with their cheap prices and "emergency " hours, but at the end of the day you are waiting longer and paying more.
Dr Featherstone is awesomeness. She takes care of my dynamic duo Rod & Todd. She took such good care of Todd when he was not well. He had an infection, her care was wonderful. Everyone at the hospital was very kind and generous. Thank you all very much
Had our 5 month old puppy in for his first groom. He looks so cute. An amazing job was done and it was a reasonable cost. Thank you so much!
Down to earth and genuine staff, including the Vet. I felt like I was able to trust the vet to be giving good advice. She explained things well and did a nice thorough assessment. Definitely a better experience than the previous Vet office I tried in this area, who just did their best to sell me their products.
I used to go to Beatties, but now staff are rude, they act like calling to question about anything regarding your pet is a total Inconvenience. Not to mention they require you to be vaccinated...!? This clinic needs to be shut down. Was so much better when the original owner was ther, he actually cared about pets, clients AND staff.
Money hungry monsters! They wouldn't prescribe the proper medication! Just a placebo so that I come back again and spend more money. They actually think everyone is stupid enough to believe there lies. My dogs still not well and I will have to go else were or call a friend for meds. I cant trust the people at Beattie. I'm old enough to know better. I hope they go under with there greed. I finally got the proper Meds for my dog and hes much better. I had to go to a friend for the antibiotics he needed(by the way there's no side effects or possible over dose on such Meds) so if they tell you its dangerous, there lying again!
Always treated with care and they always give lots of information when necessary. Arrive for your appointment early and book well ahead of time. I suggest them to every pet owner in the area and have been taking my dog here for her whole life.
Right service - Right time - Focused on my pet's needs and Efficient!
Fantastic service, we got in super fast and the people were very friendly and helpful!
I took one star off because the appointment always takes longer than other vets I've been to
Very cold and was more concerned about going home then tending to my sick cat....would not recommend, same thing happened to friend who also came her, her cat died due to the negligence of the vet, wanting to go home and rushed her out. I would definitely NOT recommend this veterinary
I recommend coming to Beattie Pet hospital. I brought my very I’ll cat to them as it was time to go. I have been calling numerous vets and they all sent us away, when I called Beatties and told them it was an emergency they got him in right away. They vet was very supportive and compassionate. Let me have time with him. I’d also like to give Melissa a shout out to. Thank you so much for coming in with me and getting me to hold him one last time.
ya, I don't think so...nice try.
My dog just had surgery at the Brantford location. He tore his CCL and had it repaired by Dr Qureshi and Kelly and Megan assisted. From the very first xray until I picked him up today after surgery, I can honestly say I was thoroughly informed of every procedure, the cost and benefit to my dog. Every person in the office was kind, professional and very thorough. Dr Qureshi very clearly explained each step of my dog's surgery and I felt very reassured to leave my dog in his care. Thank you Beattie Animal Hospital.
Probably the worst vet experience of my life. Cleaning out the camper for spring and my dog decided to drink plumbing antifreeze that had leaked onto the ground. She immediately started puking so we rushed to the nearest animal hospital at 9pm which was beattie. Instead of getting help, I was questioned as to why I "fed my dog antifreeze" and after countless attempts to explain to the non-english native vet about why my dog came into contact with the fluid he, instead, threatened to take my dog away and call the police. After 20 minutes of this with no help, we left and went to West Brant where we met an amazing team who went right to work and saved my dog. What's worse is 2 weeks later I got a bill from beattie for $118 consult fee!! Not to mention, have been getting text messages monthly about how much they miss me. Pathetic and I will never recommend this clinic.
We are very thankful for Beattie Branford Grooming Services. My dog Rudy is not the most cooperative boy to deal with. He has behaviours that she dealt with wonderfully and professionally. She was extremely patient with him and kept him from opening till closing,, with some time outs and breaks in between.. He turned out Handsome!! Thanks to the Employee that groomed my boy!!????Connie Haw.
Terrific veterinary facility. I’ve never been disappoint any time I’ve ever had to come in with my dogs. Very friendly, professional and efficient. Thanks and keep up the great work.
First time i brought my dog here as a puppy they had another dog running around the lobby off leash that attacked mine, causing some further down the line fear issue. The next time i was in i kept trying to get them to look at his leg as he was limping. Wouldn't do tests saying it was nothing, brought him to a second vet to get it looked At, right away the vet there knew it was a torn knee ligament. Fully healed now. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
your just a number, waiting on a long over booked list. these people have lost all care and compassion. money hungry
I feel like my dog was in good hands during an emrgency situation where he ate some sharp bones, but i did not find the office staff to be nice or have particular good bedside manner as you call it.
Now I understand why this place is known as the Brantford butcher. Worst place to take your pet to. Had our cat neutered. Never met the vet nor was he/she available to speak to. Staff tried to double charge us when we already had paid. Our cat lost most of his fur on his back and was covered in sores/scabs. When we called back, they said it was something we did and to bring our cat back. Not true at all, we followed their instructions to a t and months later, our poor cat is still covered in scabs and is still balding. Not to mention the poor elderly man who had to put his dog down and all they cared about was getting his money to pay for it. No compassion at all to this man who was visibly upset. I actually would give them no stars but since it won't let me post without clicking on 1 of them, they get a 1.
Discrimination if you are not vaccinated ????
Took care of my cat Kitty from beginning to end. Very compassionate and empathetic staff. The afterlife service ws just as terrific. I'm still mourning the loss of my baby but if I were to have another one...I'd DEFINITELY take her to Beattie again. My family and I REALLY appreciate their service. Kitty was just not another cat, we were made to feel she was their pet too. Thank you everyone and blessings to you all!????????????
Arrived at clinic @ 8:30 pm due to sudden droopy redeye on my Boxer. Was told by reception that they were closing soon and they were booked with other appts, however, there was only one car in the parking lot and nobody in the waiting area. When I questioned the receptionist to the hours posted that they are open until 10pm again was told we are booked. My dog is a patient at this hospital however after today we will be transferring him. From previous visits to this location I have been met with long waiting periods even though I had an appointment booked....the whole process when there for a visit seems to move at a snails pace. Not impressed with service. Today was the final straw.....moving on to Shellard Lane Animal Hospital.
This clinic has been our vet clinic for last 5 years. Doctors were very nice and helpful before. However, today I was very disappointed with their customer and grooming services. Was waiting for grooming appointment for over 3 weeks, dropped off my cat in the morning for the services and been told that he will be ready for pick up in 2-3 hours. It took 6 hours to get him groomed. We never been told but there were 3-4 other cats waiting for their services too. Anyway, any time I would call to check if he's got the grooming service done, I've been told different story. Once, at 11 that the groomer is having lunch and can't pick up phone, then, I've been placed on hold for 5 minutes to be told that groomer is not picking up the phone, and they don't know if my cat is fine and if everything is all right, etc. Long story short, when we finally got a call to pick him up the receptionist told us that they are not going to do grooming services for our cat again... Their customer service personnel very rude and careless. I'm taking my cat's records from this clinic and never coming back there again...
Will never go back here. Booked for a nail trim arrived 10 minutes early got put in the room and waited 50 minutes before someone came into the room to gety dog. They came back and told me they can’t cut his nails as my dog wasn’t cooperating. Then told me they could not do dad cleaning because they said he has an ear infection and told me I’d have to book a different appointment different day. So unprofessional to send me and my dog away knowing he has an infection with zero care. Especially after making me wait for an hour to not get any sort of service. Worst experience and service from a vet.
I had an appointment for my dog and ended up a couple minutes late. They would not take my dog in even though when I am early I wait in the parking lot for half an hour before they call me in.I had to put my other dog down and they rushed me through that as well. Will not go back. Poor business practice.
Dr Colette Larocque was awesome! I have had some very rude male veterinaries in the past which made me so nervous to go to any vet. But she was patient and calm and had wonderful bed side manners!
I have 2 horrible stories because I always give a second chance Most staff are nice people but I had a terrible experience with my pets there, my Chihuahua was hit by a car and someone else took him in as I was in school at the time and when I got let out I went straight there my dog had severe brain damage he had no idea who I was he would snap at me he would snap at the vet he needed to be put down and the dog was in my name all the paperwork and files and when I requested to have him put down I was told they would not put him down until the person who brought him in came in and witnessed that he was being put down because they told them that they could be there they made me wait another hour and a half before this other person showed up before we put my dog down when he was suffering I was 16 at the time the pain of sitting there and seeing him ripped my heart out , so second chance time my rottie was a gentle giant and I understand that some people are scared of them but you are a vet you should be comfortable with animals, everytime we went in they always wanted to take him out of the room I was in to examine him and they ended up holding him down and muzzling him it was sad I could hear his cry all the way out front, he was more scared of the vet, they made it to hard to take him there I had to switch vets to weat brant where they have never had to muzzle him or hold him down they examine him right in the room with me and if he needs to go out back for xrays they take him lots of cookies to help him not be scared best change I've ever made for him.
Money grabbing...clinical attitude...poor people skills at an emotional time...impersonal...frustrating...time constraints...would rate a zero if post allowed.
I had an appointment today at 4:00 PM to get my dog's yearly vaccine. Over the weekend they texted my wife for a reminder asking for a reply, (every appointment is made by me and my number is the first number on file?) in which we replied Yes, a text replied back saying thanks. I show up to my appointment and call to check in, all good. I then wait 20 minutes with no one coming out and call again, they say, sorry YOU cancelled your appointment by not responding. I ask what we replied on my wife's text, she said no too bad and got rude. She didn't care how long we waited, mocked waiting around outside, and then got upset when I got mad and spoke up. I tried to get someone's help at the door, with 3 different ladies not caring to speak to me, and giving no information other than to wait around. After 45 minutes, and my poor dog dying to leave as it's 30+ outside and the Vet is stressful enough for her, I leave. We've all heard the horror stories that happen at Beatties, I just had mine. I don't recommend anyone going to this location or Beatties at all as their customer service is terrible.
Service was wonderful, thank you! I wouldn't go anywhere else, the entire staff is so trustworthy and genuine.
I would like to thank the staff for being so compassionate when I had to put my sweet boy of twenty years down yesterday. All who took part I thank you. You were all so sweet and kind to Boggie????
I have been going to Beattie animal since I was a child with all our pets. Never never have I been treated so rudly by staff. You did notcall to let me know my special food was in for my cat like I was told you would call by a staff member. When I got there a staff was at the door so I asked for my food it was behind the desk I was told I was rude and could go else where to get my food you say you care about people and pets not when you treat people this way unnecessary I will never go back poor people Skills in brantford also you would let a pet go without food shame on you all. The to women that were so rude you are doing the wrong job your supposed to be kind oh and I see the owner only responds to good reviews that says alot. Found a new place to buy my food and will be transferring my cats files will never deal with Beattie again
For the first time in a long time, I have had a pleasant experience with a vet. I dealt with this location many years ago and was happy then. I moved away and have had many bad experiences with other vets. Dr. Featherstone was a pleasure to deal with. I will happily make the 35 minute drive to bring my dogs to Beattie Animal Hospital. Thank you again!
Took my senior pug to get his nails done this morning....8am March 1st. Very friendly and professional staff. Very clean environment. Reasonable price. Thank you.
I highly recommend this clinic. Our beloved girl was very ill and it was time to go. After calling numerous vets including our previous vet we could not get through it was an emergency we needed help. Beattie was very responsive and helped us at our time of need our vet that we had at beattie was beyond compassionate gave us the time we needed with our Sasha. You could tell his great love for animals. Thank you again Beattie your an amazing team.
When your pet is ill and your animal clinic is closed, be very careful if you must resort to The Beattie Animal Clinic in Brantford I took my beloved cat Saturday, August 10,2012, blood work was done and fluid infused to our cat. I was promised a call on Monday, August 13, 2012 with the results I was told at 12:00 pm on Monday - no results yet. I called my clinic who jumped into action - they called Beattie's for our cat's chart and test results to be faxed to them asap. My vet called me twice that afternoon and although they were fully booked, fit us in because they actually cared. We lost our little guy that evening as there was nothing to be done. Still no call from Beattie's. TWO DAYS LATER, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 Beattie's got around to calling to say the test results were in and we should call as the situation was grave. I emailed the Owner of Beattie's the next day and as of this writing NO RESPONSE Folks, having lived in Brantford for many many years, this was not my first bad experience with Beatties, but the situation was an emergency and we needed medical advice asap PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU FIND YOURSELF IN A SIMILAR SITUATION, THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU! There are excellent animal hospital's in Brantford but The Beattie Animal Hospital IS NOT ONE OF THEM. They are too big, too busy opening new locations, to give YOUR PET the personal care and attention it deserves
About 7 years ago I took my 8 year old Sheltie for his yearly vaccinations. We had the pleasure of Dr.Lima at that visit, and from that moment on, always requested her and we were never disappointed. As he got older, Dr. Lima never had him up on the table for an examination but rather she would always get down on the floor and try to make him as comfortable as possible during the exam. Dr. Lima's compassion, care, professionalism and attentiveness helped keep our boy healthy and well until he passed earlier this year at 15 1/2. Shortly after that, a lovely SPCA dog rescued our family during Covid. She came to us quite healthy, but we chose to take her into Beatties for a healthy pet examination. Some confusion on our part had us in for a visit not with Dr. Lima but with a new Vet, Dr. O'Brien. She was very thorough and helped answer some queries we had (another great experience). In April my son and his wife added a beautiful Sheltie puppy to their family. With the positive experiences we've had, there was no question as to where they would take their pup. Unfortunately, this little guy has had more than his fair share of visits to the clinic! Adding to the mix of Vets that have really cared for his well being is Dr. Featherstone. These Vets have worked together and collaborated on his many health issues - but a week after his most recent surgery he is doing so well and I must say, we are cautiously optimistic he is on his way to a happy healthy life! Thank you to the staff at Beatties for caring for our loved furry family members.
Hearing unless you have 2nd shot your not allowed entry.....
Worst vet I ever seen I seen all 4 doctors now and guess what my cats still sick and they only want more money they have 0 care for the pet its self all they see is dollar signs
I just wanted to say thanks for all the great care you have shown my cats through out the years,Staff is very friendly and envoirment is kept clean.Beattie has been my favourite vet since i went to them and i would recommend taking your pets there.Prices are very reasonable also
Hard to make a appointment always put on hold . 15 mins later get a appointment for 4:30 pm following week .Waited for over a hour no one came in . So I headed to front desk to ask why the delay never have I had such a nasty tone and responds . With that I left guess being with them for over 20 years they wanted me to move on .
I would never recommend this vet to anyone! They almost let my 3 year old dog die by not telling me about this funding program. My dog had a 5klg tesical in his body and he almost passed away
Staff have always been very friendly from the receptionists to the vets. Very happy with the people here.
We have had nothing but great service from Beattie Animal Hospital Brantford. All of the vets that we have dealt with have been knowledgeable, efficient and compassionate.
Overpriced
We have seen dr feather stone a handful of time, for our 2 cats. The first time our Sammy had a cold from hell, he was xrayed and given Ned's, turns out he has asthma Our bill was much cheaper then we anticipated, and she was as sweet as ever!! Our other baby couchie, we took him in for being kind of tired and lazy and crying when we carried him, we lost a kitty to a bladder stone and he was showing the same symptoms. When we arrived dr feather stone expressed his bladder, catheterized him, turned out he wasn't blocked, then they were going to do an X-ray to see what was going on when she found an abscess in his neck, she shaved and lanced the area and drained it, an prescribed him antibiotics to feel better as well as a special food for kitties who don't want to eat... our bill was 133$!!!!!! She is the most amazing vet in the world!!! We love her
Stephanie who I am assuming is reception/vet tech was very rude to me when I called, not once but twice! I called to cancel my cats glucose curve and make an appointment to just talk to the vet as his BGL have been good and he hasn’t been requiring insulin. And the whole point in a glucose curve is to see if the insulin needs to be increased or decreased. Well she was very rude about it and basically bullied me into keeping the appointment. So the next day I got my fiancé to call and cancel. Well later in the day I noticed there is still blood in his urine, and we were finishing up the 10 days of meds for that the next day. Well I had to call this time as my fiancé was at work at this point. So I called and got Stephanie again, she just has this attitude when she answers the phone. I told her why I was calling, and that we finish the antibiotics they gave us last week for this issue tomorrow, but there’s still blood in his urine. She pulled up the charts and says “well he was diagnosed with diabetes right?” I said “yes but his numbers have been good so he hasn’t needed insulin”, she goes “you changed his food, correct?” Again I said yes, and she proceeded to tell me “your numbers are good because you changed his food, he still needs insulin” (like some how the insulin is going to help the blood in the urine?) I am upset at this point, but I’m still being calm with her and I say “so you want me to give him insulin while his numbers are good? He will go Hypoglycaemic?” And before I could even finish my sentence, this woman hangs up on me. SO I call back and ask her, her name and she say “Yes, it’s Stephanie” then I asked for her manager and she says “she is on vacation until next week” so I said “that’s fine can I talk to someone who is higher than you?” And she said “that would be (blank) who is on vacation until next week” I asked to be transferred to her voicemail and Stephanie said “that’s fine, btw we don’t stand being yelled at” (I wasn’t yelling at her, I may have raised my voice a little at this point because I couldn’t believe what she was telling me to do) then transfers me right away. All I heard was the “on hold music” for 10 minutes before I just hung up. So essentially she never transferred me to her managers voice mail. AND she wants me to give my cat insulin while his numbers range from 3.7-4.8, which could make him go hypoglycaemic and he could have seizures and possibly die. I have since changed vets, and my cat has a very bad UTI that was being mistreated with the wrong meds (from Beatties) and they also think Beatties misdiagnosis my cat as diabetic.
Extremely friendly staff who take the time to answer all my fur baby questions! My two kittens and I are very pleased with our experience with Beattie Animal Hospital.
I urge all people to look at the most recent reviews, this location lacks the most basic customer service and respect for their customers and animals. That includes the review in which they asked a previous client to not return as they made him wait almost an hour in an email. They are inept in almost all areas of service. Not only does this look shady for a practice of any sorts but just horrible social networking, customer service and management . I was told by CruzOmega to come and express my distaste for this location. You are an animal hospital , behaviour exhibited at this location is along the lines of high schoolers. Change your attitude as a business.
I wrote this email in: Hello, I was just at the Brantford location for an appointment with my 4 month old dog and I had been waiting for 35min in a room to get the vaccine by the doctor. As well during my first visit to your location in Brantford in February for vaccine shots I had waited in a room for 41min until a doctor came in. I’m disappointed that your staff made an appointment with me yet I had to wait as long as I did until a doctor seen me. I received an ‘I’m sorry’ both times but I wouldn’t expect your office to see me if I showed up 40 minutes late for an appointment and walked in a room expecting to see the doctor. I would have to respect your time and it would be inappropriate. I expect the same in return, I’m a paying customer. Both my first visit and now this past visit I was late getting back to work because it took so long. I want to settle this now so that I can continue being a paying customer at your business. I will leave it up to you as to how this can be settled but I was expecting that for every minute I sat in the room waiting should of been 1% off my bill for the appointment. I feel that would be fair to keep the customer happy. Thanks and hear from you soon. From that I received an email stating that I have been terminated from their business and I can no longer receive veterinary work there for my Dog. Can’t believe this is the outcome they choose to pick. Absolute SHAME. No correcting what had happened on their part. SHAME I will always tell my friends, family, and strangers about my experience here. ALWAYS.
I took my puppy for her final vacation and she went in happy and confident but came out terrified and scared they called me back the next day and said they didn't do anything to her and my regular vet saw everything and said my puppy tried to bite. I know for a fact my puppy doesn't bite and for like a month after she was afraid of strangers I am now looking for a new vet I wouldn't recommend this vet anymore
My cat had a bladder stone forming, which is one of the most common issues in adult male cats (but I didn't know that at the time). They misdiagnosed his crystals as due to an allergy, without even doing an allergy test! So, it formed a stone, then required an expensive surgery. I don't know if they were trying to scam me or if they just don't know what they're doing.
Today I showed up 15 min early as I always like to be early and called to let them know and 1 hour later I was still sitting in the parking lot for a 7pm appointment at 745....my time is not free .....treat people better cause without them you have nothing....a simple call to let know they are running behind would have been appreciated....I will never go back ✌️
Good prices but you wait forever even on an appointment
This vet place are crooked and lie to you. Ryle her name is very rude unprofessional person. She has been at different vet I know of and she cost that vet customers as well. I strongly suggest no one go’s to this location where she works. She don’t care about animals at all and is just a job to her
Had a 6:30pm appt for vaccines. Due to COVID they are curbside only (understandable). I tried to call to check in and was put on hold. Waited 10min until I finally hung up and called back again. This call was unanswered so I tried again. I was asked again if I could be put on hold, I replied with " I prefer not to be put on hold as i just waited 10min on hold and I just wanted to check in.' I was immediately put on hold again. A different person came back and check me in, she said they would call me back when a tech was available. It was at least 45min sitting in the parking lot waiting so I phoned to see what the hold up was. They got a tech to phone and ask questions, I was then told I would get a call when it was time to have my dog come in. An hour past my appt time goes by so I call to see whats up. They out right lied to me saying someone tried calling( not true) phone didn't ring. was put on hold, then told the tech had to rush to the back for an emergency with one of their hospital pets it may be awhile before they see me. I asked for an estimated time frame and she danced around the question. I at that time became very angry, keep in mind it is now 7:40pm and pets were going in and out the entire time. I said that wasn't an answer to my question please answer it. She couldn't, I then said I am the only one left in the parking lot, said a swear word ( I think at that time it was justified). Got a phone call at 7:45pm being told my appt has been cancelled. I said I'm in the parking lot what the F was going on. I was told I choose to use that language my appt was cancelled. Now, I understand a delay but not that much and certainly not to be treated that way, no communication just left sitting then to be cancelled after 1hr 15min of waiting. extremely rude and inconsiderate. If I were you, don't take you pets here. I removed all my pets from them and are now going some were else. Beattie - Don't bother responding. Your incompetent, inconsiderate, treat clients as a number and only interested in their money. I will never be back for any of your services.
KRISTIN is an awesome groomer. She is gentle and kind with our excitable standard poodle.
Will never support a business that discriminates and segregates people due to their medical choices. Asking that people be vaccinated to support your business! No thank you. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Disgusting!
This will be a long comment as it will include two anecdotes: My sister in-law has a dog that got into some chocolate while she was at work. When she got home, she saw the remains and the pained dog and immediately called Beattie's (her normal vet of choice) explaining the situation. She was asked when her dog ate the chocolate, to which she responded she didn't know - she'd been working and saw it when coming home. She brought the dog straight in after being told they could only save the dog if it was consumed less than 4 hours previous, and proceeded to wait an hour before someone took her and her dog in! There is a 4 hour limit before ultimate poisoning, she already didn't know how long it had been, and they made her wait AN HOUR! MY experience - my cat had a UTI and was put on antibiotics for 1 week. approximately 3-4 weeks later, my fiancee and I noticed the cat was struggling to pee again, so he called to make an appointment on a Friday night. "You'll have to call in the morning" he was told. So he did: "Weekends are for emergencies" they added Saturday morning. Well, by this point, our cat was peeing blood. This seemed like an emergency to us. Apparently not to Beattie's. Come Sunday afternoon, my fiancee called again. "Oh, yeah, that's an emergency, but we're booked. You'll have to take her to Stoney Creek." It took 2 full days for someone to accept that this was an emergency. Now, Stoney Creek was further than we wanted, but distance is no issue to help our cat feel better. Several hours later, after more antibiotics, blood test, urine test, and x-rays, we were given another medication to break down bladder crystals. THEN we were told that the medication may not work, and we'd have to bring her back for a $1200 surgery. The medication? Can cause vomitting, diarrhea, depression, anorexia, and death. Luckily, my cat never experienced these side effects, but when told the medicine MIGHT NOT WORK, I was not so keen to use it. I don't mind having to spend whatever to help my fur-baby (even though $1200 will put me in debt) I would rather be given a concrete diagnosis. Not some bull medicine that "might not work" and then come for the surgery. This was the second infection in a month - the surgery probably should have been the first suggestion. Basically, Beattie's is outrageously expensive and they don't seem to care about my cat. This cat is my fur-child and I need to take her somewhere that cares that she's peeing blood, not somewhere that takes 2 days to admit that "oh, that is an emergency". Money comes first with this company, pet care seems to be last. I'm currently looking for a new vet to bring my cat to...
Terrible
I've been going to Beatties for nearly 20 years. For the most part, I was satisfied with the service. The girls at reception have always been the best! Afew of their vets have misdiagnosed some of my animals, but death did not occur because of it. However, these last three or four years, their service is steadily going down hill. I had my cat in afew days ago for blood and urine. No one told me that when they were taking blood, they tied my girl's right leg up in order to get a vein. As she is a long hair, I didn't even notice the tie. In truth, it should have been removed before she was given back to me. That was four days ago. Today, I notice she is limping. When we tried to see what was going on, she bit and scratched like a demon. The tie had embedded right into the flesh. The leg looked like it was ready to burst. In a word, pure negligence. Less talking in the hallways girls, and more attending to your clients. As for the vets, you may well be busy, but pay attention and take care of your patients. If you need more help, talk to Dr. Quershi
Friendliest staff and well educated. Best prices in town for their services vs any other vet. Will ALWAYS bring my cats here from now on. Disregard the bad reviews, they are awesome people who truly care about your animals health and well being.
Worst place ever. Corporate money grab. Do not go here.
Four years ago we took our dog to Beattie. We were able to get an appointment right away, which is a huge deal when a family member is sick. Excellent care, great prices, amazing staff. We continued to take our 2 cats and dog there. Recently, our cat got very sick, and obviously the office had changed. We had to wait 4 days for him to get his appointment, and another 5 days to get a biopsy done. Not to mention having to wait 30-60 minutes everytime we went for a scheduled appointment. We were given a quote but when it came to pay the price was $200 more. We paid it anyway, you cant put a price on a fur baby who is sick. Than we had to go back everyother day to change the bandages, no one told us there was a $28. Fee for this each time. After 2 weeks we got the diagnosis, and were told to keep up on his medications and that it would eventually get better, and to come back when we needed a refill on his meds. Well, he didnt get better, today he was so sick that we had to euthanize him. The emergency vet at Brant-Norfolk couldn't even get the iv in because his veins were collapsed. This was all In a 6 week time frame. Will never go to Beattie with our other 2 cats and dog. I'm very disappointed In this clinic that used to be very caring.
So grateful for both this team and the Ancaster location as well when our lab required emergency surgery over the holidays. As you can imagine, both my husband and I were very concerned and the staff was professional, attentive, and courteous. They handled both surgery’s (yes, 2!) with ease and kept us informed with status updates and calls all week. Whenever we called in distress, they made sure to accommodate our dog for an appointment and respond to all our inquiries. When we took Walter back for boarding he was actually excited to go in and see the girls despite all he had been through! I knew he was in good hands with lots of attention. We can’t thank you enough for the care and concern you all showed our fur baby! Thank you!
Just called on a Sunday at 4:30, they close at 7:00. Told them I needed to bring my dog in to be put down ( and we are a client) was told they were fully booked and I would have to go to Norfolk Animal Hospital. In a time of need and considering what I needed done you would think they could get me in, but no. I guess you are only important to them if you have an appointment. No personal service whatsoever...very disappointed with them. Will not be back. Thanks for nothing.
They just leave you waiting and waiting. Why would i hav a 10:00 appointment, but hav to wait 40 minutes to see a doctor ????
Misdiagnosed my dogs broken shoulder as a sprain. After weeks I insisted on X-rays and a break was discovered. Also gave wrong information for recovering from it: crate rest, we can’t do anything for it. Four months later dog still limping. Took him to Mississauga ($800) and was told it was too late to set, I should have had a pin put in as soon as it happened. Lost this dog a year later hen his pain became too much. Also gave both my dogs leptospirosis vaccine which (being gun dogs) I was told they must have. One dog lost 3/4 of his fur and developed an egg size lump from it. Vet told me it was ‘seasonal allergies ‘. Always kept waiting at least 30-45minutes and rarely see the same vet twice. Never again.
Tried 7 times at various times in the day. Always spoke to a person and then put on hold. No one ever came back to the phone. As I write this I have been on hold for 15 minutes. I think the idea this time is to keep me on hold till they close at 8pm. We need medication for our dog. Beatties has not returned calls to our pharmacy. Note we use an outside pharmacy as Beatties is twice as expensive.
I had my cat put to rest today. The entire experience at Beattie was positive...except having to say goodbye to my buddy.
I now know why they have such low ratings. They have the most incompetent people working reception - please tell me how you call to book a surgery for your dog two weeks ahead and they have no record of it? I spoke to three different people and not one of them booked my surgery for me, after telling me they have my dogs records and eveything was “good to go”. I call the night before to see if there’s anything I need to do, and the lady on the phone says he’s not even booked? I said how is that possible when I have spoke to two other people and they both said they have the records and it’s fine. Then she tells me the girl on the phone didn’t send me the email she was suppose to, so apparently that is my fault?! Becaus when I got upset saying I booked work off for this surgery and now you’re telling me I can’t bring him? She said if you’re gonna yell at us then find another place and hung up (when I wasn’t even yelling). I called back to speak to a manager and she told Me she would call the cops if I called again. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! don’t spend a dime here, I’m actually glad it’s canceled(sorry not even booked) and I don’t have to bring him to these shady people.
My tiny Lionhead rabbit got neutered safely!
Let me start by saying the front desk staff are very friendly, helpful and amazing. The rest of it is awful. I have had more than 1 appointment that I have had to wait over an hour past my appointment time. One was for a simple bandage change. I understand that they can become busy but this is fairly consistently happening when bringing my dog in. My dog cut his paw open and I was bringing him back regularly for bandage changes and to make sure it was ok. I had refused initial surgery because I was told the stitches may not hold (it being a paw pad and a hard area) since my dog is so high energy I declined because would rip it open in no time. A week and a half goes by and I was being told he was being prescribed an anti inflammatory that another vet told me was a sedative. They did a bandage change said it was fine and they might have to freeze the paw to stitch it and I said that was fine to do. 2 days later all of a sudden the paw has to have surgery. I consulted another vet and they said it was the way that the paw heals and it's a tricky area being walked on all the time. I will no longer be bringing my dog here and I suggest no one else does either. There's so much more detail to go into that I will not cover. Thankyou to the very kind front desk staff regardless.
Worse animal hospital I've ever been to.. I completely regret bringing my cat here. Dr. Devshi made my cats condition worse, and now he's dead.
We took our cat in to Beattie for an immunization shot and examination 4wks ago and returned last night for the booster. When I left the first appointment I inquired how much the second visit would be. I was told $38.00. The Vet that gave our cat the booster last night started to give her an exam and I reminded him that she was only booked in for the booster. He didn't respond and continued doing the exam.I wasn't pleased with the way he was handling her and neither was she. He said she appeared healthy and thought it would be a good idea to bring in a sample of her stool to be sure it was alright. He then proceeded to ask me if I would like to pay for that today even though I wasn't having it done yet. I was shocked by this and didn't think it was professional at all. When I went out to pay for the visit I was also charged for an exam fee. I was not happy about this and felt that they should have mentioned this exam when I was quoted the fee. I really didn't feel it was necessary considering she had one 4 weeks prior. It is a shame this happened because the ladies at the front and the technicians were all very nice. I do like the evening hours but I certainly didn't feel comfortable with the Vet on our second visit. We definitely will not be returning.
Overcharged me 150 for my cats procedure then made me wait 1 hour to speak to the vet. Will NEVER bring my pets back. Extremely poor customer service.
Very friendly nice good with are pet ty for helping use out
Staff talk about clients and get involved when they should not I dont care if it's on their own time its unethical I am not a client in Brant ford nor would I be but I am still a client in Hamilton so it should all be the same staff need to stay out of others business period I wouldn't go back to beatties ever again not professional and complaints are handled poorly CVO needs to see about the ethics of this place avoid this place if at all possible
I will never take another animal here again! I spent so much time and money to try to help my poor cat who kept licking and scratching certain spots on his back. The first trip the doctor said he had fleas, which he absolutely did not but paid 200 anyway just because I'm not a vet. 3 months passed, my cats fur grew back with the help from a cone and a t-shirt, however the scratching problem was still there, took him back again for the same problem but also noticed a tiny bump on top of his head, being told the same thing again he had fleas which was not true... And was told the bump was a pimple and it would go away I paid 180. Another 3 months and he still kept scratching, The bump ended up getting bigger. I took him back on October 13th this time a different vet looked at him but I had to wait for an hour until they came in to see me. The vet told me that the scratching problem seems to be chronic and the bump on my cats head was not a pimple but almost positive it was a tumor. I made the decision to put my cat down as his condition would not improve even after several steroids and antibiotics. The worst part about this final visit was from the assistant there was absolutely no sympathy or anything just cold! She asked me several times how did I want to pay Do you want to pay now before we do this or after? Do you want to pay cash credit or debit? Do you want me to bring the machine in or do you want to pay at the counter. I'm sitting there in tears I felt like saying F off and let me be with my cat I will pay when I am ready. This was the worst experience ever misdiagnosis from the first vet and money hungry staff.
They treat my dog well and seem quite knowledgeable with what they do... but twice in a row now iv been early for my appointments while they arent ready for another hour after my appointment... absolutely unacceptable for a professional business.
AMAZING! From the look of the place to the service to the feeling you have when you are there!
my cat had a piece of string that he sneezed that was caught in his nose. i called on a sunday at 1230 they had me in for 2pm i arrived early they got me in right away. all the staff there were very polite, professional and very knowledgeable. I would defenitely recommend them to anyone. If i didnt live an hour away i would make them my regular vet.
We recently boarded our diabetic cat at Beatties and they were great! They were very accommodating and helpful. The booking process was easy, checking in was easy, as well as checking out. Our boy wouldn't touch his kibble, so they spoiled him with some diabetic wet food so he could take his insulin. He was a very happy boy. I would definitely board with them again!
Had an emergency with my dog and they would not take him in front of regular scheduled appointments. Would not recommend this company anyone.
Couldn't ask for a better place for my pets
I have had the best experience with Beattie's! They were kind and caring towards my cat and made sure my cat was well looked after and able to travel to another province. I am truly thankful for the experience I had. Thank you!
Stella is our baby and our standards for her care are exceedingly high. Dr Lima has provided her with exceptional care. She is very gentle and thorough. She was involved in Stella's care during a extremely stressful and scary time. She was kind enough to call us numerous times to follow-up on her condition. You can teach a person the knowledge and skills to be a good vet, but you can't teach them to care. Dr Lima is not just good...she is amazing!
Called on Friday at 5:30 pm. My 4 YO dog was not walking normally and bumping into walls and furniture. They refused to see her and said if we feel like seeing a vet to go to the emergency clinic. Within 10 minutes at the emergency clinic, we had been referred to OVC. After 4 days in ICU we put our dog down. Beattie was unconcerned about seeing our very sick dog, who had received service from Beattie since being a pup. They dismissed my concerns, laughed at my description of my dog's symptoms, asked if she got into any cannabis, and didnt even follow up when the emergency vet sent them her file and OVC sent them. Even worse, I had 2 dogs, both from the same litter, and had concerns about the same thing happening to him, completely brushed off. Fast forward to today...I adopted a rescue to keep my remaining dog company. She had an ear infection and chewed her prescription bottle of drops. I asked for another bottle of ear drops. Had to book a new appointment and assessment, ear clean to get some ear drops. Instead, I booked an appointment with West Brant, they brought in my girl, gave her a look over, and yeah, she has a yeast infection in all 4 paws, under her tail, and in both ears. The prescription was something very different, and the entire transaction was about $100 less than the original appointment at Beattie's. Not only that, but they told me that if I need a refill to just call. MUCH more satisfied with West Brant. Beattie vets didn't even say a thing about a yeast infection and clearly didn't check her paws or anywhere else. Now my dog is happy and yeast-free. I am not sure what's up with Beattie, are they understaffed? Is that why your staff don't care? Is that why your vets are late for every appointment? Is that why your vets wont help their patients in an emergency? Is that why major concerns are assessed by whoever answers the phone? Is that why your policy is to empty my wallet at every opportunity?
Very disappointed with this location. Called and spoke to 3 different individuals in order to plan for my dogs to stay in the kennel there for a week. Was told by multiple receptionists that I would need to have my dogs vaccinated 2 weeks before they stay at the kennel. I show up to get my dogs vaccinated approx 2 weeks (their availability) before they need to stay in the kennel, and I find out that they actually need to be vaccinated 4 weeks before they stay in the kennel. They apparently require a booster. When I arrive to this appointment, they also only had one appointment when I have two dogs and required two appointments which they knew, they were also supposed to call the other Beattie location to find out exactly what vaccines they needed, which they did not do as well. I also waited for approximately one hour out front on and off the phone with a technician trying to organize and figure this all out. I will say that I wasn’t the most friendly person by the end of it all, I wasn’t necessarily rude, but I wasn’t happy and I will say that the technician and the doctor did remain calm and professional even though I was a little bit snarky. Other than that this place is a disgrace and they have essentially ruined our vacation. Will not be returning...I’m pretty much fed up with Beattie locations in general, but this location in particular is disorganized and not knowledgable on what they require, in particular, for their kennel, which to me, is something fairly basic.
I have been with Beatties for 20 years! Well as of today, we will no longer bring our pets there. Two weeks ago we were there with our boxer who was limping on his back leg and yelping in pain with movement of getting up. The girl who took our information of what was happening with our dog was very rude to my husband. We had to wait 45 minutes to see the vet. I have no complaint with the vet Dr Lima. She is a kind compassionate person. As of today this was the last straw. My 2 year old boxer had a seizure this morning. I called to see if we could bring him over. The girl on the phone was very rude. She said they had no time for our dog. We would have to go to the emergency clinic that didn’t open till 6:00pm. I was asking her if she had any other days with an opening. She continued to talk over me, and would not let be book an appointment. I also asked her about making an appointment for both my dogs for their vaccinations. She said we have no appointments and hung up on me. What kind of business is this! ‘ THE WORST ‘ I will certainly not recommend your services to anyone looking for a vet! As I can see from the previous reviews I bet you will not reply to my review.
Cat vaccine booster. Quick and efficient.
The doctors were really kind and professional but the intake staff were less so. Especially Stephanie who was, not only rude, but making fun of my pet's name. I don't trust mean people around animals because if they're that rude to humans, what way would they treat an animal?
They diagnosed my dog sent us home and her condition deteriorated after the prescribed treatment , when we reached out for advice it took over 24hrs to get a Vet to call us back , having a receptionist advise or give medical advice without any formal training is pathetic especially when the advice goes against treatment! When we did get a Vet to return our call it was cold , unprofessional and lacked sympathy . The treatment prescribe lead to four days of hospitalization at brant Norfolk Vet. Services ( huge difference) and eventually us saying goodbye to our beloved family member , I'm truly disgusted and ashamed to have used this Vet /medical service and trusted opinion.
They told me my dog should get x-rays cause they need to pay for there x-ray machine????????
Have always had a good experience taking my dog here. Have had a bit of a wait a few times due to emergencies, but that is not really their fault.
Was told my 11 year old daughter had to be vaccinated to comfort her cat while waiting. I guess the masks dont work here. They make up their own laws here i take it! Enjoy your covid shots staffers! Maybe they should research all the negatives as well!
If you care about the health and wellbeing of your pet, do not take your pet here. Simply, the employees that Beattie has representing their company do not care. I genuinely had hoped this was the result of one employees neglect and this was an isolated situation but after reading through the low rated reviews (none of which have been responded to, meanwhile all the positive reviews have thanks and praise for the kind words), I quickly realized that this situation was not an isolated situation, rather that in a time when you truly need to rely on Beattie to care for your pet, they will not. You will be disappointed when/ if you need to rely on them in an emergency situation. Historically my visits to Beattie have been average, at best, and I am truly heart broken at the lack of care and consideration that was shown to not only my pets health but also to me as a worried owner. Lately my dog has started throwing up frequently so I booked an appointment and brought my dog in to get checked. As an extremely nervous and timid vet came in the exam room, my dog became extremely nervous and timid also. After completing the test we were given the option to wait at the clinic for an hour to get the results, or get a call from the vet on Thursday as she was off Tuesday and Wednesday (The initial appointment and tests were Monday) . Why the vet couldn't call us with results 1 hour after the test is beyond me however that is not even the most disappointing part. After my dog was seen she stopped eating and for a dog that is normally drooling before you put her food down, this was certainly not normal. Tuesday morning (9am) I called the office to see if a different vet could give us the results to understand the severity of the situation and I was told it would be looked into right away and they would get back to me. After patiently waiting all day and my dog having barely eaten any food, I finally called back after hearing nothing, Tuesday evening (Roughly 4pm) to follow up with the situation as I'm sure any concerned dog owner would. I was assured over the phone that her file would be sent over to the emergency department and that she could not disclose the test results with me. I was Promised a vet would get back to me if not Tuesday night Wednesday morning and after not hearing anything back I realized that if the situation got bad enough I would have to take her to a different emergency clinic that would prioritize my dogs health. I then monitored the situation closely and was ready to take her in if needed. Finally Thursday afternoon the vet called with the results apologizing for the confusion, ignorant to the fact that we were genuinely concerned for the dogs well being. She informed me that they DID find some abnormalities in her test results but did not deem it to be "an emergency situation". Long story short the employees didn't feel the need to tell us that she was in no immediate danger but rather left us on edge for 3 days, worried about the potential of the worst and prepared to take her to a different clinic if her situation got any worse. As I told the vet over the phone that I was extremely disappointed with the service, she became very defensive interpreting voicing my concerns as threats because I noted that I would be writing a negative review online for the neglect. This defensiveness is clearly promoted within the company by the lack of interaction with negative reviews online and a pure neglect to understand that there could be a problem that needs to be solved within the business. Silence the voices, don't fix the problems. I will never do business with Beattie again and would highly recommend for anyone who loves their pet to reconsider their decision to choose Beattie. You simply can not rely on them when you truly need to. I am having my dogs files transferred to a new clinic immediately as further investigating is required to fully understand the severity of her health issues. I hope this review can save an animals life, one that is in fact in immediate danger, by not choosing Beattie.
I love them especially Dr Lima the only vet my dogs see.
So happy they were able to help my dog Boujie. He has fully recovered in only three days. Thank you so much!!
i just took my kitten there for her first set of shots, i am BEYOND pleased with the staff there, they are and were more then willing to answer any questions i had , very compassionate towards my kitten and myself and other patrons that were in the store, very affordable aswell!!! i will be there in a few weeks to get her boosters!, i also appreciate them calling my kitten by her name ( Joy)
We have always had amazing experiences with Beattie-Brantford! The vets, technicians and staff are caring and knowledgeable. From babies to end of life Beattie has been there for our beloved furry family members. Thank you!
Always dropped my dog here when I had to go somewhere overnight and couldn't not bring him. Good customer service.
My husband and I had our 5 month old puppy spayed at the Brantford clinic. Despite a few people advising us not to take her here due to negative past experiences, we decided to go with Beattie anyway. The price we were quoted for the surgery was much more reasonable than other vet clinics. A few tips.... Shop around and do your research. Most smaller vet clinics will have a spay or neuter "package" that includes things like post op pain meds, IV fluids during procedure etc. Beattie's price quote only includes the spay procedure. Everything else is extra... So another vets package maybe be around the same price when it's all said and done. We were quoted $180 for our dog's spay (11-22kg and under 6 mos). We had dropped by the clinic to get the quote and the info package on her spay a month prior to her surgery date. Despite getting her registered at the clinic weeks prior and booking the procedure ahead of time we were sneakily overcharged! (Charged rate for a mature dog over 6 mos more $$) She was also microchipped which was also a bit more expensive than what we were originally quoted. If your dog requires meds post op for at home, be prepared to pay a "pharmacy dispensing fee" on top of the cost of the actual meds. On the plus side.... The staff was friendly and caring and our pup was content and well taken care of when we picked her up. The incision looks clean and tidy. Also, they keep you up to date with a follow up email when your pet is out of surgery with a digital report of their procedure notes. All in all, the front desk staff agreed to refund the difference for the overcharge. Still confused as to how it happens as her age is even on the report and discussed with the pre op vet tech! Make sure you read the receipt thoroughly before paying and leaving the clinic to avoid any hassles like we had.
Fast, thorough and efficient. We have multiple pets so finding a good vet is important to us. Prices are lower here than other Brantford vets.
My 13 year old wiener dog needed emergency treatment for her back. My normal vet was closed for the holidays but I was lucky enough to get into Beatties on New Year’s Day. The staff were kind and professional. You can tell they really love the animals they are treating. I wasn’t able to go into the appointment because of covid but I knew my old girl was in good hands. Dr. Featherstone was wonderful and took the time to go over every concern, explain what was wrong, the multiple options, and next steps. The old girl is already feeling so much better. Thank you ladies of Beatties!
I have a cat that was a feral rescue. Many vets had refused to treat her due to her aggression. It turned out she had an ear polyp that had ruptured her ear drum and was causing repeated, chronic ear infections. I live in Cambridge and took my Roxy to Brantford as they were willing to examine her. It is because of them the polyp was discovered and I was lucky enough they had a surgeon trained in the removal of ear polyps. The surgery was risky and there were no guarntees it would work. I was told the polyp wasn't all removed and she would never hear again. Nearly two years later it hasn't returned and I promise you she can hear just fine. She reacts to loud and softer noises she never reacted to even in the early days of me adopting her. Aggreasion has calmed way down. She is happier, more active, friendlier (even with strangers), just a whole different cat. The recovery was awful but I'm so glad I took the risk on the surgery. Thank you so very much to all the staff at the Brantford location. There are NO words to express how lucky myself and Roxy are that you did this life changing surgery. I recommend you to every pet owner I know. EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS TO DR.SAMI QURESHI, YOU ARE AN ANGEL!
Wonderful staff, exceptional veterinary care. My dog pulls me to the front door. How's that for an endorsement! ????. Solved my pet's health issues and restored her to optimum health.
Had an appointment for a check up booked with the vet who did the surgery on my dog. Showed up for my appointment and it never got booked. Vet who was suppose to do checkup never booked it and was called out on surgery today. No other vets available for checkup and if I wanted today they are an hour behind their calls (which is normally everytime). Overall poor service and no help at office except to come in another day.
After being a loyal client for over 7 yrs sad to say this is not the place for our animals. After our 9mth old puppy had a stay recently where they neglected to feed him his meals (4 cups of food over his 3 day stay), he ate his crate he was in(probably because he was hungry). He has stayed numerous times with no issues ever. However, the staff feel it was the dogs fault and after expressing our concerns they have now banned us from attending instead of dealing with the actual issues! Like calling if there are issues! If I could give you lower than 1star I would! Enjoy your rating!
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Beatties. The compassion that was shown is really appreciated. RIP Tango.
We received treatment from Beattie approximately 5 yrs ago and after a number of visits we changed vets due to poor interaction and communication from the vet. Now over five years later we had an emergency situation and Beattie was the closest Vet. We didn’t have any other option as it was an emergency. Thankfully the vet & team that took control of our dog did an incredible job. They were very knowledgeable and professional with us and our dog. The service they provided saved our dogs life. Dr.Featherstone was great and the Tech named Brad was also fantastic. They reacted fast and were able to save our dogs life. I’m not surè if there had been an ownership change or if better vets and techs are now on staff but I can say that we were very impressed with Beattie over the last year since returning. I would recommend this vet now and disregard all of the old bad reviews because Beattie seems to have successfully made the required changes to achieve a top notch level of professionalism and Vet services.
"My cat started noticeably limping on his right front leg Christmas Day. I took him to Beattie and they found a bad infected cat bite on both front and back of his right front leg. As anyone who knows cats, they're very stoic until it's very bad. The vet treated him gently and really took the time to make sure to find all the bites. The vet assistant (I wish I could remember her name!) was very sweet and helpful. My bill for CHRISTMAS DAY was only $166! I couldn't believe the price for the great care my cat Blue got on such a holiday. If I ever have another emergency this is the vet hospital I'm going to. They're caring, kind and really care about your pet. Very, very impressed with care and service. Thanks Beattie!"
WORST expereince EVER!!! As a young couple taking our pets to beattie in brandford, the service is crap. We were told we would NOT be charged for the check up for our next month vaccinations that we "need" before we get our cats spayed. They told us we only pay check up fee once every year and thats the check up fee, well as it was our appointment today, we go in and are charged 180$ instead of the 60$ we were told it would be the month before. The miss communication and ability they have to take advantage of a young couple like us was disgusting. So I took the time to call another vet clinic in the area, and found out the ONLY shot that is manditory by law for a cat to have is a rabies shot. ALSO PRICES ARE WAY CHEAPER AT THIS NEW PLACE! DO NOT GO TO BEATIES FIRST TIME PET OWNERS!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ RIP OFF>
I recieved absolutely terrible customer service at this vet clinic. Without going into detail about my situation, the girl who answered the phone was rude, condescending and showed a lack of compassion for my dog who was in distress. I will never ever take my animals here.
We have been taking our fur baby to Beattie Animal Hospital since the day he joined our family. We would never consider taking him anywhere else. They are amazing!!!! I highly recommend them!
