I have been to several vet clinics over the years and Snelgrove takes the cake! My cat and dog both LOVE going there. The front desk staff is incredibly helpful and friendly (particularly Melanie!). The vets that I have worked with (especially Dr Gunsinger for my senior cat Gryffindor) are compassionate and take the time to answer questions and explain everything. The prices are very fair in my experience and I have never felt pushed into any service that I wasn't comfortable with.

I did not even make it in the door. This place lost me at the phone call. I called in to get a quote on a neuter and declaw. The receptionist said that they don't do declaws....she could have left it at that and they wouldn't be getting this review. She went on to say that declaws are inhumane and I shouldn't declaw my cat. EXCUSE ME????? That is your opinion. Do NOT force it upon others. You know nothing about my situation. You know NOTHING about how we got this kitten to help my one child while our other child is going through chemo and this kitten NEEDS to be declawed. It is fine if your clinic doesn't want to declaw because they believe its inhumane (which its not) But for you to attempt to make me feel guilty about this is WRONG. Luckily I found Kennedy Road Vet who was more then willing to help us out.

When I got my dog 3 years ago i had no idea where to find a great vet. So i asked friends and family and the one name that kept on repeating was "Snelgrove Vet". So we took in our puppy and I can't say enough how friendly everyone is. From when the phone get's answered with a smile that you can hear coming through the phone, to the visit and payment. I can see after many visits how caring everyone is there. They are always happy to see my dog and him to see them. GREAT work everyone, even though we moved a hour away, we still come back and have never considered finding a new vet closer to home.

I’m a little torn writing this review as I have no qualms with the staff or the doctors because they are very attentive and truly show genuine care for their patients. However. I do find that they are quite overpriced in comparison to other clinics especially when it comes to medication. I was able to find a pharmacy that would dispense my pets medication at fives times less than what I was being charged here which is very disconcerting. I also had one occurance where there was a misunderstanding with the compounding of my pets medication which I only found out about through her specialist. This was extremely upsetting because not only did I have to throw away a full bottle of medication and lose a large amount of money but more importantly my pet faced some adverse reactions from the medication. Had I not happened to mention the details of my pets medication to the specialist I would not have found out about this and my pets condition could have become even worse! I was told that it may not have been a side effect of using the incorrect form of compounding however as soon as the medication was corrected my pets symptoms diminished significantly. All in all, I will perhaps continue to go here for the doctors themselves but I will no longer be picking up my medications at this location which is unfortunate as it was very close to home.

My family has been going to this clinic for years. Our animals have always been treated so kindly; even our larger more aggressive dog. I now live several cities away but will continue to utilize this clinic as our main Doctor. The people that work here are clearly animal lovers as you can see it on their faces the second they make eye contact with your little ones. Dr. Ioannou is a wonderful person who clearly cares about your pets.

We recently visited because our kitty Coco wasn’t eating. She’s not very old and we were very concerned because it’s very unlike her. After calling and receiving an appointment the same day, we found out Coco was just experiencing an upset stomach due to some really bad anxiety and stress. Instead of going the expensive route Doctor Ioannou gave Coco a probiotic shot and some probiotics to add to her food to help stimulate her hunger and now Coco is back to her normal self and even better. Doctor Ioannou even called me early Saturday morning to make sure Coco is okay. We are so thankful for the staff of Snelgrove, thank you for being honest and caring.

When I scheduled the appointment to bring my dog in for vaccinations as a 1st time client I made it Very clear that I had to come in with him (despite recent Covid restrictions) as he has bad separation anxiety (I rescued him when he was 2yrs). I was told they would make an exception due to my circumstances. I showed up for my appt and was told that whomever I spoke to did not make a note of the exception, didn't remember our conversation and they wouldn't honour the agreement. They offered no alternatives, such as sending the vet outside to see my dog. My dog is a blood donor and I had the blood work, fecal and urinalysis records sent over so they already know he must be very healthy or he wouldn't be able to donate. They have lost a potential client because they are unprofessional, uncompromising, and inept.

I love this place, I recently was forced to switch vets, and I am thrilled with the quality of care that my cat and I have recieved at this location. On the morning of my first appointment I was in a car accident with my pet in the car. Not only were they extremely understanding, following several vomits from my cat they fit me in for an evening appointment for a full examination to make sure there were no injuries to be concerned about. They've called me multiple times at home to follow up on Mort, and I am so thrilled with the level of care and love I am already experiencing here with my cat.

they will call your house to encourage you to visit with your pet even though there’s nothing wrong with it, just to make money. They charge you for calling in a prescriptions when they’re aware my dog is perminantly on medication and needs it constantly. If you actually need an appointment expect to wait a week because they’re fully booked due to cold calling people for appointments. It would be nice if this place was more dedicated to animal welfare rather than making a buck.

I started taking my pup when he was about 5 or 6 months old. My pup is now 2-years old, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Very knowledgeable staff, and they have great customer service. Any question I have, I get a great answer. My pup always enjoys going. I was a little worried now that they have their appointments behind closed doors (as in I couldn’t go in with my pup due to the pandemic); however, my pup came out smiling and the service was just as amazing. Always a great experience, wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else.

I have been a long term patient of Snelgrove, I took a break to see if there was a better option for the care of my 2 French Bulldogs Chunky and Porkchop and the answer is NO - Snelgrove is home for me and my boys. Today I called in distress, Chunky was in critical condition - the words weren't even out of my mouth before I was told to bring him right away. I was seen as soon as I walked in, the clinics full attention was on the identification of the problem and communication with me. I was in a state, the front staff helped me in every way they could and treated me with kindness. I have never been over charged, and feel the quality of care in respect to cost is excellent. Thank-you for taking me back as a patient - I have complete trust in you and I rest easy knowing my boys are under your care when needed.

Brought my dog there two weeks ago because his eyes were red so Doctor gave us a tube to put in his eyes paid for everything as they asked and left because my dog being a puppy i had hard time controlling him properly medicine was supposed to be for one week but i only got three to four days out of that. His eyes are little better but thought to get refill to finish the full course i went to the clinic to get that, and doctor said they cant give it me because it has steroid in it which i understand so i have to bring the dog and get him reexamined which is fine but pay the fee again but only half at this time and i said its a same recurring issue within two weeks and i am still purchasing the product from you guys shouldn't you wave the fees since i just paid for the same thing. i love the place and i have always paid what i have been told and have never asked for anything and i dont have any problem paying but its the principle and i dont think its fair for them to charge me for the service i already paid for, so that tells me that every one out there is for money grab which is not nice because i did like the place . i might have to bring my dog elsewhere where its not all about money all the time.

Visited this location the other day and had a bad vibe right from the start. They do not have a handicapped accessible entrance - two curbs to climb and then a big step into the office. Receptionist was with a client and did not acknowledge us when we walked in, most places will acknowledge you when they are busy. Their pricing for an exam is inline with other vet clinics (give or take $10), but other pricing is higher because they have an accreditation. My search for a new vet continues. Don't deserve the 1 star, but in order to post have to give them a rating.

Fantastic Dr's and staff that I came across. Very caring and kept following up after our pup went through an invasive neuter surgery. I was nervous about finding a new veterinary clinic after Dr. Campbell passed away. Yesterday I visited the Snelgrove clinic for the first time and I could not have been more pleased. All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The Dr. explained every step of her examination and gave details about the costs involved. I did not feel any type of pressure when it came to deciding on the course of action, found the prices to be quite reasonable and felt very reassured about the health of my pet. The staff and veterinarians at Snelgrove will go above and beyond for you and your pet. My pet had to get her cyst removed and tooth removal during one surgery so she had to stay overnight. They were very compassionate, knowledgeable, and reassuring with every step she had to go through. They also checked-in a couple days after the surgery to make ensure she's on the right track with the healing process. Switching to this vet location has been the best choice. Highly recommend for any pet owners.

Came to this vet clinic in need of medication for my dog's heart they told me they had but when I went to pick up they realize I'm not part of their clinic or I don't go there they said they didn't have any in my dog is 15 and in need of this medication I thought that's are supposed to care about the animals I will never take my animals of this Clinic ever they are liars

Prices are through the roof compared to a lot of other locations specially with the drugs. Also they do not know how to apologize or compensate you when they mess up. They will bill you enormously for the smallest things. X-ray at another clinic that I found is half the price compared to these guys. Doctors are great but why bother with such terrible service and heartless people. They messed up my dog's prescription and almost killed her. Bye bye Snelgrove!
