Unbeknownst to us we purchased a puppy with parvo. Dr. Wazier and his amazing staff put everything into saving his life...it was a long road to recovery, with countless overnight stay, constant IV fluids and medication. We finally got to bring our boy home, tired and weak but alive a recovering. I couldn't thank Dr.Wazier and his team enough for all their efforts.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR EAR CROPPING. I asked the doctor the do 4 cm from the bottom on the ear to the tip of the cartilage, both ears are under that, as well as the ears have been cropped uneven. The left ear is much shorter then the right ear. Also when i called about cleaning the ears the doctor said “no it will irritate the ears” and i listened. I read up on ear cropping and i knew prior that you should be cleaning the ears and removing scabs but this doctor said no. This lead to my puppy getting an ear infection in both ears which extended the period with his cone on by 2 weeks. The doctor did not care about the health of the dog and just rushed any questions i had about it, all he said is “it will take time”. As well as the price this place was extremely expensive and had to pay for medicine as well due to the ear infection. Over this place is not the place i would ever go again.

I have been here a couple times for my rabbits. They are amazing. So kind so caring and even with my wonky ways and needing help they still work with me :) Highly recommend for all your pet care -Love, Fynnegan and Jaxson!

Very friendly staff, knowledgable doctor who is always available to help, even after hours with a call to the office that is forwarded to him. Would recommend to all my family and friends. Exceptional care for a fair price.

I have been going to this vet for more than 5 years. My dog Chico was having serious health issues and allergies.Dr.wazir recommended getting my dog neutered. After doing the process Chico has been good for 4 years. Thank you doctor for the diagnoses.

I brought my beautiful Blue Headed Pionus Parrot Kiwi to this 'hospital' . It was my first time at this location. When I met the 'Vet' he said he doesn't look good and looks to have a broken leg. Being emotionally compromised, I did not care about the charges I just wanted my Bird to get better. The 'Vet' told me the X- rays would cost almost $300 (more than human x-rays) and I agreed as I thought he would have a fracture that needed to be addressed. After the X-rays the doctor switched up and said 'oh I didn't see anything on the x-ray it seems he just has a muscle pull'. He then prescribed a 'pain killer' and slapped me with a $500+ bill. After this confused visit I didn't know what to think. The next day Kiwi was visibly worse as he looked as if his health was deteriorating. I continued giving the pain killer (as advised by the 'vet') and he just got worse day by day and it was evident the diagnosis was inaccurate. Now after speaking to another professional it was noted that the bird may have a disease called Atoxia where it effects their Nervous System. As a trained Vet, a consumer expects to get reliable and accurate advice. But instead I just got the run around and manipulated into spending $500+ and NO results. In addition, after discussing what's happening to Kiwi with the Hospital, they told me to come back so I can pay them even more for another medication (with no guarantees of course). I told them I felt manipulated and conned and they just made excuses. Do not take your loving pets here, ESPECIALLY PARROTS. You may just find yourself in a worse situation than when you entered their facility. When dealing with live animals, humans should be compassionate and not just care about the monetary gains. Don't get into the field if you just want to make a buck and not care about animals. God's watching and karma is a B****!

Although they are not my primary vet, I have had to take my dog to this clinic on two occasions. Both times they accommodated me last minute as they were both emergencies and my vet was closed or not available. I must say the team is very friendly and informative and I would definitely recommend them.

I've been going to Dr. Wazir for three years now. I've actually been so impressed by their work (on my dog and a friend's dogs) that after I moved to Woodstock two months ago, I've continued to bring my Doberman puppy -Zeebolt- to him. Thank God I did! During his vaccination visit last week, I asked about Zeebolt's tail; He'd been biting at it and it healed poorly from being docked. Dr. Wazir listened to my concerns, told me it would need surgery and had him in for surgery the very same day (he's very understanding about the long drive). Dr. Wazir also sent samples of his tail to the lab. We got the results back today, and a a it turns out there was a good reason Zeebolt was chewing his tail! There was a neuroma (extremely painful tumors of the nerve cells) forming in his tail which would have continued to grow up the spinal column had we not caught it early. In the tail you can amputate to get rid of it, higher up that wouldn't be possible. Zeebolt is now back to his happy, puppy self and I shall forever be grateful to everyone at the Peel Animal Hospital who helped save my poor baby from such a painful and heart breaking disease. *This actually happened and Zeebolt, Stella and I are actually real. Trust me, how could I make up a story like this?!*

Amy

The service at this place was just outstanding. Every one was happy and just so friendly. The vet was explained everything to me about my sick puppy and made sure I completely understood the situation and how to care for my pup afterwards. Thank you guys for answering all our questions and making us feel comfortable

The overall experience became mediocre and quite superficial. From the moment I met Dr. Wazir, I truly did feel his transparency and sincerity in wanting to look after our dog. However, towards the end of our dog's final days, he did not follow up as promptly as he should have. I did not hear from the clinic for a majority of the day and had to call to collect the results of the ultrasound, in which case I requested Dr. Wazir to prepare pain killer medicaments as our dog was going through a natural death (non-euthanasia). Upon arriving at the clinic, I genuinely believed he was going to provide me with some words of guidance and instruction. However, his receptionist was given the task of explaining the medicaments and how to use. I feel like this was a moment where he should have been present. The following day, our dog passed away and I'm sure he was aware of the inevitable but has not bothered to call or touch base. Maybe I'm holding my expectations too high, but I believe that being a veterinarian is a calling and the need to follow up with patients following a situation like ours, is crucial. Currently, I feel disappointed. Dr. Wazir is NOT a bad doctor. I just feel like he didn't follow through and it has left a bad taste.

Our Cat Chloe was taken care of very well ..with a good explanation to us about what we were dealing with..The vet was very genuine...we appreciated all the help we received ...Thankyou Dr Wazir and staff..

My puppy's been here for all her shots, spay, and an emergency hospital visit. I'm always happy with the service, and anyone who answers the phone is knowledgeable. Dr. Wazir always answers my laundry list of questions, and my follow up phone calls are always met with caring & concern. I'll continue to trust my them with my pups well-being!

Great place

Dr. Wazier and his staff are great to my bunny. We had a small accident, and we asked them whether we should come in and they said NO. This is a big deal because a lot of people don't trust vets because they think that vets are money hungry, but I can safely say that Dr. Wazier and his staff genuinely care about their patients, regardless of what animal they are.

Scott Peacock

Got the patients name wrong, spelled it wrong when we corrected it (on the official documents) forgot to weigh her during the exam, loud as heck when we said that loudness scares our cat, got our address wrong, overall not a great experience.

Very professional and genuinely care. Really rook the time to understand the issue and put extra care into my puppy.

Sabina Raina

The most considerate and mindful doctor I have ever taken my pups to, which isn't surprising considering his 25+ years of experience! I always receive all my options, alternatives, estimates for procedures and updates throughout when my babies are here because I ask them to do so. Extremely accommodating clinic and staff. Would recommend this place to anyone that wants the best care for their pets, big or small (I've seen iguanas, hamsters, birds, bunnies and dobermans alike!). My friends and I all bring our pets to Dr. Wazir and have yet to be disappointed. Communicate your needs and they do their utmost best to accommodate. Go PAH!

Simone Stephenson

My daughter and I brought our beloved bird Vivienne here. Brittany and everyone was so compassionate. Dr. Wazir is very practical, knowledgeable and offers good sensible suggestions. We really appreciated his candor, and was warmed by his empathy. Brittany, Dr. Wazir and staff, my daughter and I would like to thank you very much for your care, help and warmth today to Vivienne and to us.

My puppy had an appt for today which was booked weeks ago. When booking this appt we advised a staff member that we have now own the puppy since my BIL original owner. Once my husband got to the appt...he was advised that a release form had to be signed from my BIL or have my BIL call it in...BIL and hubby work jobs where are not allowed to use their cells during the day and now they wanted to book another appt that could of been done today. My brother in law had already told them weeks ago that he no longer owns the puppy and that we do. At no point in any discussions was a release form or call needed. Obviously, hubby was upset because they would not take the appt now with no release form or call from BIL.. He took off of work early and had a hard time leaving with the puppy because other puppy we have are very attached to each other. The vet came out of and tossed our puppy on top of a hot hood of our car and told him to leave. Hubby was at the back of the car having a smoke...the puppy was scared because he is only 3 mos old and a staff member had to stop the puppy from falling off the car. I get that hubby shouldn't of gotten upset at the staff member but the DR throwing my puppy on the hood of my car?? On a hot hood? Is this not animal cruelty? Should I be pressing charges? What if hubby had gone to a store thinking the appt was still on? Would he of still just threw my puppy on the car if no one was at the car? What could of happened then? What kind of vet or dr would do something so horrible to an innocent animal like that? I tried calling the office but of course no one is answering and I am sure they will say they were busy. I am so upset and disappointed that Dr Wazir would do such a thing since he has already had 2 other puppies go there and he was amazing but this makes my blood boil and considering calling the PD.

Absolutely love this hospital! I’ve been taking my family pups, and now my own, to Peel Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. Wazir is extremely knowledgeable and considerate towards our concerns and the wellbeing of our pups. We have had amazing results with surgeries and recommends only what he believes in. Love this place and I know my girls are in good hands.

Yesterday I almost lost my family dog due to the negligence of veterinary staff. My dog was due for a routine blood test. As the vet attempted to muzzle her mouth, they grabbed her and squeezed her so hard, she swallowed her tongue. My dog lost consciousness, she laid on the table lifeless. Everyone panicked. Doctors rushed into the room and began giving her CPR. She was tubulated and later on an oxygen mask. Still not moving, my mother began to cry, she had to be escorted out if the room. After a while, my dog slowly began to open her eyes, still wearing an oxygen mask. She is at home and ok now. Thank God. As far as the vet, were not sure if we will take her again.. #PeelAnimalHospital

This place is a money grab. I called them in the morning and got an appointment in the afternoon at their time of closing. I thought at the time, they were considerate and really wanted to see my pet bunny since he has been losing balance. When I got there, they were more preoccupied in screening me for covid - even if they do not let anyone inside their facility. After waiting for 15 minutes in the car, noticing many other people just waiting outside (looks like they over book themselves), they finally came to take my rabbit inside. Not even 5 minutes later, the doctor came out and told me that my bunny had suffered a stroke, because his lip looks crooked. I explained to the doctor, that this his lips have been this way for years and that it does not seem related to him losing his balance at this time, that maybe he should be checked for an ear infection. The doctor then said the most awful thing ever "Your bunny is 10 years old, he's just on borrowed time now, I will give him some steroids and we can see". At the time, I didn't know that steroids were last course for rabbits, and it did not seem like I had other options. There were no indication of them doing any x-rays/scans to see if there was an ear infection or something else. This is a place to avoid if you have small/exotic animals. They clearly don't know what they are doing. $140 later, my bunny is not doing any better and I still have no idea what is wrong. They asked to come back in 5 days, but I canceled that appointment. ****AVOID AVOID AVOID****

I was charged $80 for a follow up visit. The visit lasted two minutes. My pet did not go into an examination room. We both were in the reception area and the vet came out peaked in his ear for 2 seconds and said everything was good and walked off. I have never gone back since then, I think it is ridiculous to charge that amount!!! I wasted my time and gas to get there to pay money. Follow Up visit is not necessary when it comes to an ear infection, save your money. There are many other vets that do not charge for the follow up visit. One thing about this veterinarian is he is very persistent about wanting you to come back for a follow up visit.

Hated this place. No work ethics. Did not provide me with an estimate before starting the process. Also charged me $600 for a 15min procedure for a little conure, who had a tiny string attached her feet. Absolutely horrendous money minded thief. While I enquired around for the same procedure the next day at 7 of them vets and they gave an estimate or $250.

I've been going to this vet 4+ years now. Been bringing them a number of my budgies here. Dr. Wazir and his staff make you feel at home and very welcomed. Plus being one of hardly any Avion vets in Brampton really helped me out a lot. With his knowledge it has helped me take even better care of my birds. Great job ????

Honestly my poor dog had scabs that kept popping up with no injury. The Best immediately identifyed them as hot spots and after 2 years of me going to other Vets and them milking me for money when they knew what it was. The Best and Peel Animal Hospital gave her treatment and within 2 weeks my doggie was herself again! Amazing!

Truth Betold

took my cat in for an ingrown nail and the vet wanted to declaw her (that is amputating the tips of her toes). I went to another veterinarian and was told that there is no need to do so and the problem can be kept under control with periodical nail clipping. I guess $$ is more important than the pet's well-being.

Davinder Matharu

Nobody knows how to keep social distance there... People are on top of each other

Amber Chambers

Ever since my cat got her eye surgery (upon the vet's recommendation) there have been nothing but problems with her eyes. She has an eye infection that just won't go away. Don't think this vet cares and covid was the perfect excuse to do (or not do) anything. Because when he "checked" her and kept prescribing things nothing worked. All I know is I wish we never let him do surgery on her eyes, she has a never ending infection, probably because he didn't properly sterilize her surgery area. Also her surgery was only 15 min and we had to pay a ton of fees and bring her early in the AM so they could charge us IV fees, hospitalization fees etc.

Zil Syed

If you have a bird, avoid this place. This is NOT a bird friendly vet. Wazir will con you first with a run around on their fees, and then give the wrong diagnosis to add insult to injury.

I called this place asking if they had the equipment to do a glaucoma test on my dog and because I’ve never been there before, they wanted to charge me an $80 “consultation fee” ONTOP of the testing fee. Lol. I know what the problem is, I just need to see how bad it is. Should be called a “gimmi some money” fee

Great service staff is super duper friendly they took care of my puppy like it was their own Dr. Wazir is great at what he does!

Dr. Wazir and staff have been amazing! I brought my dog Mia to them in 2015 (through referral from family members) shortly after my furbaby had been diagnosed with diabetes:( I was a complete mess and I live in the city...the vet I had been taking her to since she was a pup (she is turning 10 yrs old this year) were horrible!!!! All they wanted was money...no genuine care for Mia...and they were taking their time with Mias treatment so I had to keep going back frequently so they could keep charging me! My poor dog was near death...not only did Dr. Wazir save my dogs life he gave me comfort...he calmed me down and let me know that she can still live a great life with quality...hes a wealth of knowledge and shows genuine care for my furbaby...he is available anytime! In the most stressful times which never end up being between 9-5pm during the week...he has been responsive and guided me in some of the scariest moments with Mia. I trust his judgement and recommendations...i could go on and on about the excellent service I have received! Thank you Dr.Wazir for everything!!!

Zahreen Mahomed

Staff and doctor very friendly and helpful.

I was going to this vet for a while and when they all of sudden closed down without notice to their clients i was scrambling stressing out trying to find a way to get my dog his medication and food shows you how much they value customer service/ Clients, Especially if said client pet has important appointments/ medication they need. Its a shame on how they handle things when the ladies at the front desk were nothing but nice . With that i will not be returning.

Chris P

Have been taking both my dogs here since they were puppies. Have had no issues to date and will continue to see Dr. Wazir.

My dog Bear had major surgery today. I would like to thank the Dr. And all the staff for taking such good care of him. Great place to visit and have all your pets needs taking care of. Thanks a bunch. Wounderful place.

If there was an option of giving this guy zero stars I’d give him that for taking innocent animals lives. I’ll keep this review short and simple. I brought my pet to this clinic with an existing medical condition and a recent x ray & medical report from a vet I took him to only 1 day prior to my visit at this clinic. Doctor ignores the reports & medications that my pet is on and gives him medication based on his WRONG Diagnosis where he thought my pet had a stroke. My pet ended up dead the following day. I ended up paying 800$ for this visit. Nice of him to send a card few weeks later :) Avoid taking your pet to this clinic.

Rhiannon Paray

I will never stop saying good things about Dr Wazir and his team. These people are amazing, and truly love what they do. I can't trust anyone else with the care of my two dogs. Anyone who owns an animal knows that they are a part of the family, and are treated as such. Dr Wazir always reassures me when I'm worried over my dogs health, especially as she's aging. I trust his opinion 100%. He's a very kind, caring guy. He cares about his furry patients and us as pet owners. He is very transparent about costs/billing. I whole heartedly appreciate everyone at Peel Animal Hospital.

They were able to cut my birds nails and see him the same day his foot got caught in the cage but the vet really didn't care, pretty much told us it's not a big deal if he died since it's only a 10$ bird. He was informative besides that but that really bothered us.

PAS staff are amazing, especially there is a extremely warm friendly and pleasant staff, I won't remember her name, her hair is always in a slick back and up in a "donut like bun" she is very patient, my cat Scout loves her. I definitely would recommend PAH. I was shopping around and compare to other animal establishment, in and around the area PAH gives quality care and sercice money well spent.

Very compassion when comes when my cat diagnosed with kidney failure with cancer. Oct 8the she died no longer suffering. Staff was wonderful with care. For eight years of going to see the pah for our cats.

Good professional service. Doctor and staff agreed to take a look at my injured parakeet 15min before closing and despite being booked full. I cannot thank him enough. I tried the animal hostipal I normally use but they refused to assess my injured bird as they were near closing time. I will always go here from now on. Doctor and staff is of good character and they genuinely care for animals.

We recently lost our budgie but found her safe days later. We brought her here for a health check and to spray for mites. The service was great and the staff and doctor were very friendly. After the checkup the doctor gave some follow up advice. I am very happy with how we were treated. Highly recommended.

Susan Lee-Sam

The staffs and doctor is amazing.

The best vet clinic by far! Dr.Wazir is always available with or without the appointment, customer care is outstanding. Our 18 years old cat is still running around and cuddling with us just because Dr.Wazir has taken care of her when we thought she was going to leave us... Our 2 German Shepherds are happy, healthy and active dogs, and we know they will be taken care of at times of any health concerns as it was in the past. The knowledge and experience of Dr.Wasir are far beyond average vet.clinic professionals. We are very confident in making the right choice to be clients of Peel Animal Hospital.

Peel Animal Hospital in Brampton is the place I go to for care of my dog, an American Akita named Rock. Under the personal, friendly care of Dr. Wazir and his staff, Rock has had excellent treatment for the past five years for both routine and critical health situations. There is that rare 'small town' feeling when I walk into Dr. Wazir's clinic like a scene in a Frank Capra movie. My dog has become part of an extended family that includes a cat and a rabbit. Compared to other vets I've been to, fees are very reasonable and insurance claims are taken care of for me. Rock always leaves with a happy face:)

Jen F

This place closed down without notice and no call from the clinic to notify the clients that have spent thousands of dollars in this clinic. My dog is on insulin and I couldn't get syringes or insulin without another vet seeing my dog or doing a glucose curve. This clinic does not care about your pet's health. My dog would have died if I hadn't gotten extra bottles of insulin last time I visited the clinic. They also gave me and charged me 2 doses of antibiotics when my dog was only prescribed one dosage. I went to another vet and my dog should not have even been prescribed one dosage of antibiotics. I was charge for a consultation and a double dosage of antibiotics for no reason.

Jai Aurora

Very glad I took the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Doctor may recommend a procedure but gives full justification and will always provide alternative options. He is also very understanding of the times and gave me a discount when he absolutely did not need to do! Love this place.

A P

I have been with them for over a year. Dr Wazir has always been there for us. There has never been a problem with our pets that he didn't solve. We took or rescue kitty in and he did the surgery for a fraction of the cost knowing or finances and situation was dire. We trust that our pets are safe in his care. He has also helped us by letting us know when cheaper over the counter products will fix the problem instead of paying him much more for medical grade solutions. This was a problem we ran into with other vets who mainly care about money instead.

Nancy DeRyck

Dr. Wazir and his staff are very knowledgeable and efficient. My dog has had 3 surgeries here with only the best results and no added unnecessary costs. Highly recommended.
