bad service, greedy for money, attitude not good, not genuine, don't actually care about your pets and only want your money so they'll overprice you. nurses are rude, extremely rude. inhumane people, never met anyone as cruel as them.

This clinic used to be good and ok prices, but now is a rip off, they charge me 365$ just for consultation and the antibiotic. Go somewhere else, stay away from these people.

Amazing experience! Very caring and professional, they take their time with explanations and options. The staff, technician and doctors are very friendly and helpful , they make an effort to help pet parents, who are in obvious distress, by answering all their queries patiently- no matter what time of the day. I’ve had a very positive experience with them for my dog- Burna . They took such good care of him . I can keep writing about my wonderful experience with them but to keep it short- You can trust your pets with them, they are great. Thanks to the entire staff for helping me and my family during these difficult times. Kudos to you guys and God bless.????

My dog has been very sick for the past week. I came to this Vet in the hopes they could make my dog feel better. As soon as I walked in the vibez felt disgusting. When I spoke to the staff they were argumentative and combative. They seemed to be arguing with me about how my dog felt. Then they told me it would be a 2 -4 hour wait and I need to go outside and call. The way they said it had a condensending nature. The overall feeling was me and my dog was not wanted and did not belong. I carried my dog to another vet that was able to see my dog right away. My dog felt better and it was within 1hour.

I have been a client of North Town for over 15 years, but in the last few years the clinic has gone down hill and I’m very disappointed. It’s almost impossible to get an appointment within a few days. So when your dog is suffering from some ailment, you can’t get in, or you have to sit in your car for six hours as a walk-in and pay an increased appointment fee. Feels like maybe that’s the point, more fees for them if everyone has to walk-in. The staff aren’t overly helpful either, not giving a lot of options when you’re in this position. Seems like it’s all about money, as the vets also push a lot of unnecessary tests and treatments and often times again don’t even give you any options for treatment.

If I could give them a negative review I would. We took my pet here because of an emergency, due to our usual vet being closed on Sundays, and they did nothing for her and explained nothing of what they thought was wrong with her to us. Took her to our usual vet, explained our experience and they were confused, as there was an obvious and serious issue wrong with our pet. I cannot underline enough how much this place only cares about your money, and vet bills are never cheap. Waste of $117, as well as put our pet in jeopardy. Please, for the sake of your animal's health, find a different vet. I cannot underline how TERRIBLE they are and only want you to spend money here. Edit: I noticed they responded to my review. If North town is willing to give me a full refund I’m willing to call and amend this review. Otherwise I stand by my statement in full.

Many people say these guys are expensive but you get what you pay for! 4 stars only because they are a little more expensive but that doesn't account for the experience which is beyond a 5 star. We live across the street and due to this being an emergency hospital it's easy to access and all the staff are extremely friendly, caring, and kind. We had a a very smooth and comforting experience after my dog choked on his kibbles and couldn't breathe. They have also taken the time to know our dogs even though the staff there is always rotating and we see them only once a year unless an emergency arises. The staff are unbelievably comforting, kind, and sensitive to dog moms and dads in distress during emergency situations. Pictures accompanying are one from his hospital visit and normal pics. Corona and Calypso are very happy with their services and so are we!

Denied emergency medical service due to quarantine for travel even with negative covid results and government exemption from quarantine for medical reasons.

I am beyond frustrated at this point at the lack of diligency that this clinic has shown the first issue that we had was when our cat was blocked and after being unblocked he bled for 2 days and the doctor said that that was normal. The second issue that we had was regarding food five times in a row they tried to give me dog food when I own a cat they finally put a note on my file stating that I own a cat not a dog. Today was the final time after being told that my cat's food is on backorder after I had to physically call the clinic and ask I would highly recommend not going to this clinic

The staff here are professional, sympathetic and knowledgeable. My dog was in chronic heart failure and was ready to cross the rainbow bridge. After a horrible and traumatic situation occurring at my regular vet clinic, the staff at North Town were so patient and understanding and allowed me to take my time. They gave my best friend a quick and painless end. The vet was very sweet and made me feel better with her kind words. All the support staff were very nice and supportive as well. I have always have positive experiences here and will continue to return. Thank you for everything you guys do. You're truly angels.

Took my dog in because she was heavily injured at 8:00PM. Did NOT get to see a vet until 3:30AM. This clinic is SOOOO dirty that my dog caught TICKS and she has never caught TICKS. As well as, I paid $1500.00 and was told my the receptionist that I had to pay an additional $156.85 to change my dogs bandage when I was told by the vet everything was included. This clinic is so DIRTY, DISORGANIZED, and a place where your pet CATCHES TICKS!!!! DO NOT GO HERE.

Absolute crooks! The staff are very unprofessional. All the vet cares about is money. Shows no empathy when my dog was there suffering. They were more concerned with bringing the interac machine to get money. The fees are out to lunch but that is another story. They took advantage of our family during a time of crisis. Very disgusted with the service received from this location. Would not recommend to anyone!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

If I could give this place Zero stars I would. The customer service at this animal hospital is absolutely horrible. Looking for a vet for your animal? Look elsewhere. They treat their clients as if they are applying for a job and look for any reason to upcharge you for treatments your animal does not need. My sister has been bringing her puppy to this place since she got him. Due to their covid policies they require you to call when you arrive. No problem. Upon arrival she realized that she forgot her phone at home and there was no way to let them know she was there. So she returned home as fast as she could and called them, while I was there, asking if she could still come and the reason she was late. You know what their response was? This incident will be put on your record and if this happens again you will be charged and you can no longer bring your animal here. The admin had attitude and customer service was out the window. Are you serious? This is how you talk to your paying clients? When I called her to let her know that the way she treated this situation was unacceptable, because my sister was visibly upset, she was absolutely rude. She asked me "What's my beef?" Say it with me everyone, UNPROFESSIONAL. I understand that rules are rules 100% Running a business is not easy but there is a way to talk to customers respectfully. She will not be returning to this establishment and I'd recommend you do the same.

I cannot express how truly grateful I am for the amazing care my pup received from this vet. My dog had ingested some herbicide and was not feeling too great. I called and spoke to Judy who was amazing in answering initial questions and set up a profile for Whiskey while we made our way over. Once there, we were in and out within an hour and Dr. Cat was amazing with support provided. I was sent home with detailed care instructions and Dr.Cat made sure I understood everything before we left. It was such a relief having my pup taken care of so quickly and a huge relief to know that such a great 24 hour care hospital is in the area. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you!

This is the worst Veterinary clinic I have ever been in contact with. They lie about wait times and make you sit outside in freezing temperatures with your sick animal. If you only have one vet on shift or busier than normal, you should be transparent let the people know. So we can make clear and decisive choices based on our preference. Not lie and say it's an hour wait when it's really like 6 hours. People turn to you when they are in need of help. You should learn to honor that responsibility and show some damn compassion. You should not be allowed to operate in the province. Terrible experience.

Exceptional service and very caring staff.

Cat cut herself. We were quoted $3000 for a surgery to be done immediately, or, be reported to animal services. My husband talked them into letting me leave with just pain medicine and antibiotics, and they sold us a cone collar that was clearly meant for a dog. The next day at our regular vet, they completely disagreed with the initial assessment. No surgery, no stitches, just a proper cone collar and continued medicine, and did a much better job of cleaning and trimming the wound. Saved $2500+ the hassle.

Don’t bring your pets here! They will rip you off! My cat was in a lot of pain and i had to bring her for emergency they charge DOUBLE! They also suggested alot of test and they charge too much for it! They make money from your misery!

I took my dog in for severe contant vomiting. He would not eat and he was acting very strange.. Off in space. Hiding in corners. The first vet tech I spoke too said he's fine and take him home. I said no way!!! Admit him now!!!!! They did admit him after saying I want to speak with an actual vet. The vets took blood work and hooked him up to an iv. This took a couple of hours and then he was discharged because they said he was fine and kept saying it's probably because I feed raw food. My dog was back in my care and he was acting the same. I stayed up all night watching him. He continued to vomit. Still refused any food and was becoming more and more zombie like. Hiding in corners (like when they prepare to die). In the morning I called and said something is not right! They told me to bring him in. I then waited some more in my car for him to be admitted. They then took him in and I was told by the vet that the other vet did not give him enough fluids and they now need to run xrays and he needs to stay overnight where he can get the best care possible and be watched. I agreed. They said he would be getting hooked up to iv fluids right away and xrays as soon as he was admitted around 12pm. They called me at 3pm and said they took xrays however, images are blurred out a bit as their machine is broken and they are working to get it fixed. They had only hooked him up to ivs now. Before then who knows what care my dog even recieved? They said from the blurred images they found "sand like substance" in his intestines and belive he has a partial blockage but unsure because the machine is not right. They told me at 12am they would run another xray so they can be more accurate. They also mentioned they do not want to operate and will keep him there to monitor him overnight and see if he passes "the sand" 12 pm passed nothing. No call. 1am no call 2 am I call to find out what is going on. The Dr I speak to is rude to me first off and says they have not done the xray. I said "what is taking so long he's been there all day with nothing being done?" He is clearly sick and has a blockage and has not eaten in 2 days now. He's just sitting in a cage doing nothing???? He responded were busy with many other clients!!! That's why. Ok so you continue to take on other clients and my dog is just shoved in a cage very sick!!! Great!!!! Not even hooked up to ivs when he enters!? 3am. The Dr calls me and says "we took the other xrays and I can now see the sand like substance has moved to his colon where he can pass it." The Dr proceeded to tell me I must pick up my dog before 3pm the next day with meds. He'll be fine and pass what was making him sick. I pick up my dog so happy that he is better!!!!! 30 mins from picking up my dog he is now puking large quantities of teal green vomit and he is still very sick looking. Refusing food. Barley walking because he is so drained and sick!!! He puked teal green vomit 4 times and then I called AGAIN!!! I was told to bring him in as soon as possible as puking teal green vomit is not a good sign!!!!!! I was at the vets in 3 mins literally as I live across the street!!!! I call- they say "YOUR WAIT TIME IS 3-4 HOURS" A BLOCKAGE OF THIS KIND CAN BE FATAL BY THE WAY! I WAIT - for 3 hours because it is now canada day and I am afraid to go somewhere else only to wait longer. I wait longer..... at around the 3 hour mark of me sitting in my car, I get a call from a male vet tech I have never spoken to before. He says ma'am, " I'm really sorry but our xray machine is STILL BROKEN(I DID NOT KNOW THIS what? Still broken?) we can not perform accurate diagnoses at this time on your dog I think we have missed something because of the machine being broken for so long and we do not even have an ultra sound machine here. I think it's best you go to another emergency clinic to get the best possible care" My dog went to Oakville Emerg that night. within 6 hours they found & performed surgery (an entirely different blockage.) Nothing of what northtown said. He is finally well

Sarah the receptionist was very consoling over the phone. I’m not even a patient of the clinic and she still took the time to answer questions for me and provide me peace of mind. Great clinic as far as reception goes!

My puppy suffers from anxiety when cutting his nails. I did not know what to do as my family were bleeding from the cuts from his nail scratches. The veterinary suggested to sedate him at a minimum dosage as he is 18 weeks old. We did exactly what the veterinary professionally suggested. Once our puppy came out of the veterinary, the lady who cut my puppy's nails stated in an extremely rude manner that she cut the nails of two paws, "IT'S NOT FAIR FOR THE DOG TO BE SEDATED, THIS IS NOT NORMAL BEHAVIOUR OF THE DOG.THE DOG NEEDS TO BE TRAINED". Never once did she provided me with a trainer's number as I asked many times to provide me with one. I was very upset to what this lady had just said when she suggested to sedate the dog. My response was that she does not know her job and what she was doing. Another person had to take her physically back in as she was ready to attack me. This is by far the worst veterinary hospital I had ever came across. The lack of tact and professionalism this person has displayed towards me is alarming. Particularly when the veterinary suggested from the very beginning to sedate the dog and made me spend money on the sedation and at the of the day not only only did this person treated me like a criminal or almost beat me up but no nails were cut and lied about it. I wish there was an option to give zero stars. Instead, I decided to cut my dog's nails at home and it actually worked!!!!!!!!! I guess I did a better job than the veterinary. From the worst experience now, I thank you for giving me the courage to cut my own dog's nails :)

If I could put a 0 star I would, my dog in 2019 was rushed to this vet and unfortunately died. I was beside myself and really couldn't grasp what was happening. I called a week later to speak to the vet to understand what happened and to get some paperwork, they were busy so I left a message. I called a few times and even asked to speak to a manager but not one person called me back. The after care is horrible!

My family and I were very disappointed from the service. We took our cat here and he was handled very unprofessionally and in the end we decided we couldn't let him stay in the hands of these people. It seemed as if they had no intention of helping our cat and looked annoyed?? Please if you love your pet, take them to a better veterinary clinic.

We took our new-to-us puppy with an urgent issue on Family Day; after contacting the "main" emergency hospitals - and given wait times of 6-7 hours, I was told a 2 hour wait at North Town (all the preliminary info was done over phone before leaving home). We checked in by phone from parking lot, expecting a 2 hour wait but staff came to our car to take our pup within 10 min. Communication with us was excellent - and I also received a follow-up call 2 days later to check on our pup. In pandemic times we should all expect everything to take much longer than usual. Our family was very happy with our experience at North Town.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! VERY POOR SERVICE VERY MONEY GREEDY, POOR STAFF I brought my Shetland Sheepdog here the other day. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. My dog was not feeling well at all. We brought him to the closest vet we could find in Brampton. We brought him here about a year ago to get his shots, and he fainted as soon as we left their property. They barely said anything, and they just put him on oxygen. They originally wanted to charge us over $2 000, and we complained to higher authorities, letting them know that it was their fault Due to a bad batch of vaccination. We took him the other day, as we realized he had a big bump under his stomach. The technician (Rebecca) that came out was very rude, very impatient and we couldn’t get him out of the car right away as he couldn’t walk. She did not care, and she took him inside by scooping him under his stomach specifically where he was in pain. Right away, we didn’t feel like our dog was safe in their care. Eventually, we got to speak to the doctor and the doctor didn’t say anything about his condition. He was very vague, and we asked him if by looking at his appearance and his condition, what the possible underlying conditions could be. The doctor brushed it away and immediately told us to do bloodwork with a fee of over $1 000. He told us we were able to consider it as a family and let him know what we wanted to do. As dog owners, we wanted to get a second opinion, and take him to the vet he usually went to in order to get a second opinion. The technician then laughed at us and said she was going to call Animal Welfare on us. We asked her why, and she claimed that we did not care about our dog. We felt very disrespected by her and insulted. She eventually took him outside and was hesitant on giving me my dog back. She tried to tell me how to carry him (which was odd) and we told her not to worry we know how to care for our own dog. She was very rude, and when we approached her to tell her that not every vet has the best opinion/solutions, we have the right to take our dog where the best care was needed. She was very rude, and she put her hand in my face to stop me from talking. She later on didn’t want to listen to us, and she was mocking and laughing at what we were saying. We then brought our dog to another vet, that was able to let us know simply by looking at the dog what his underlying conditions were. We were informed and then given different options as to what we could do. Had a much better experience

We had the absolute worst experience ever here tonight!! The female dr was so rude, showed no empathy, and hung the phone up on me!! They called me an hour later telling me my dog was able to go home, after we had already been home for an hour??? She also said I declined treatment yet they sent me home with 0 information on any treatment options for him! So unprofessional. If you need care for your animals DO NOT GO HERE. Thank god the front staff were nice, the dr however not a chance. I wouldn’t trust her with a goldfish.

I brought my baby Liqourice to North Town after finding lumps on her breasts that later led to severe breathing issues. Despite the pandemic, staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and made sure of all our options. Sadly, Liqourice was an older kitty and it was her time. The process was easier than expected and I was so relieved to know she was surrounded by such loving and caring people in her last days. I was also given two charms of her fur, and just recieved a sympathy card with the most sweetest poem. Thank you for always being there for us on the fly and always willing to take us in - even during a pandemic. I feel like I can always count on you guys. <3

It should be ZERO stars, but the system doesn't let m do it. This is the least caring facility I have ever encountered. We came with a two-week-old weak puppy. They did a Parvo test in the parking lot and then told me we would have to wait possibly a few hours. He was a tiny baby that needed to be fed immediately. Then we decided to leave and go somewhere else. As we were already driving away, the woman at the reception told me on the phone that we would be charged for both the Parvo test and the examination, although no doctor had seen him. Then she persuaded us to get back and promised he would be seen immediately. On the whole, they drained every possible dollar, showed little understanding and at the end of the ordeal wanted another over 200 dollars to EUTHANIZE him. We said NO, took the puppy home and with familiar smells and the warmth of his siblings and mom, in the morning he was fine, drinking his mom's milk and behaving normally. In the morning we had an Animal Welfare inspector at our door!!!! To cut the long story short, my puppy has grown to be a most amazing, the biggest in the litter and wonderfully developing guy. He got checked by a vet two weeks later: PERFECT puppy! North Town Veterinary Hospital had not even given me any antibiotics when we took him home after we refused to let them KILL HIM. They didn't even call to check how he was doing. It took me a while to be able to describe this horrid experience as I was so incredibly upset. This beautiful dog would be dead if we had listened to them.

Waiting 3 hours was worth every minute. I want to thank the doctor and staff looking after my dog Pookies. They took their time on the phone with me and explain what was wrong with her. Thank you for all your support and effort easy my mind and pain, especially taking her in short notice. A big thanks for everything ❤️ ????

Went because my dog was having seizures. We were told that nothing was wrong with her after waiting a couple of hours, and were charged WAY more than we were quoted on the phone. We took her to another vet, turns out she actually had cancer. She passed away shortly after. Terrible customer service skills as well, staff should know how to deal with people who are distraught because of their sick pets. ALL about the money for them.

My little Daisy was severely sick with rapidly failing kidneys. She was only 11 weeks old so it was a very traumatic experience for us. The doctors stayed well past their shifts to ensure she was taken care of and stabilized before going home after a long day. I find comfort in knowing that the doctors are passionate about their jobs and genuinely care about your pets. We got daily updates and they were very thorough with explaining to us the treatment plan, pricing and prognosis.

sorry took me a while to post this review. I brought my puppy here last summer. Was told she had a hot spot. They claimed she needed sedation to clean up the area. They didn't even try to do go near her, to see if she really needed to do the sedation. Anyhow, they put her to sleep, shaved the fur around the hot spot put some medication on the area. Brought her home and I realized they missed an area that they should have treated. I was so disappointed that hey had missed more of the hot spot which was adjacent to the main area. How could they miss it, after all she was sedated. Horrible to think that the doctor was not thorough.Brought her back, and I cant believe they suggested she should be sedated again. Terrible service.Expensive and negligent doctor.

I wish I had an option to give negative 5 ????but anyway , Few things that I noticed about the place: 1:They do not discuss how much the treatment will cost you. 2: I was supposed to get the reports for my cat in 2 Buisness days but guess what ???? I never received them 3: I did receive a call asking about my cats health and was told that I will receive the report shortly. Never heard back from them The entire story: I went in with my cat and was asked to wait outside in the car.“I had an appointment” still had to wait. The fee that I was told for the appointment was 100 something $ ( which is understandable) but when I talk more about the cat I told them that I feel she has cold and I was advised to make sure she gets well before she gets vaccinated. I was ok with everything until I saw the bill. I was shocked as I was not aware of the charges and they straight up charged me 300 something $. They told me they have to do certain tests and it is crucial to get it done in order to make sure the cat is ok but, I was not told that this is how much it is going to cost. I mean there is no harm in telling people how much is it gonna cost. They saw the cat hardly for 5 minutes in which they took some pictures for social media, played with the cat and checked cats fever once that was done The doctor went inside (the doc disappeared) and the assistant came out with few things in her hand along with the machine. She told me this is the medicine and she handed me the bill. The assistant seemed nervous when I asked her about the bill but I payed it anyways. I work in a healthcare industry and we do discuss the charges with the patient while booking the appointment or in case there are some additional test that the Dr needs. We do ask them if they are ok with the amount. Making the person aware makes a huge difference. They didn’t bother to follow up after that. Honestly speaking it’s money that they care about. Looting money from people is what they do. After that experience I checked the reviews and ohhh my god,I was shocked to see how many people they have looted. At the end I will suggest not to consider this place.

Had and appt booked called in to say i arrived for appt and was put on hold for 10 minutes and finally hung up and left ...going to another vet. Service has declined drastically with this clinic

First time I was going through an accident where I had to put my pet down. As sad and tragic as it was the staff at the hospital made my cat so comfortable that our last hour with him was less tragic as we knew he was comfortable and not in pain even thou he broke his spine. Even the putting him down process , I was explained well what exactly will happen and dr. was so compassionate and caring I left in tears but I left with ease knowing he did not suffer. I found pricing to be very reasonable as well for emergency care, x-rays,Pain medications, euthanasia and cremation. Thank you staff!

Sharanjeet Grewal

If you truly want the best service for your pet DO NOT GO HERE. Staff is rude and racist. The nurses do not do their job but instead give an atittude. Very disappointed in the customer service, i came here for an appointment and left without my pet being checked on. Highly recommend McQueen Animal Hospital. My pet recieved the best care, the nurses really try to make your pet feel comfortable. Reply: Your manager is not helpful at all you should diversify your staff and teach them how to be more compassionate with people.

My 7 month old puppy was admitted here for aftercare post-surgery. He was in pain. They made us wait over an hour in the parking lot on a cold and rainy night and I had to call multiple times to explain that my puppy needed to be taken inside asap as I could see him suffering. The technician came out and took him inside and while transferring him, we explained that he had to be careful to not touch his belly where the incision was and regardless, he picked up our puppy in a very aggressive manner and our puppy literally screamed out of pain, which is something my husband and I will never forget. Then, the doctor called us and she recommended putting our puppy on SO many drugs, including fentanyl. We were so emotionally exhausted at this point that we trusted the doctor’s recommendations but I did have this feeling in my gut that she was trying to give him too many drugs at once, which she said would help him with the pain (I also remembered reading a similar situation in another Google review on this page when our original vet recommended we drop off our puppy here for aftercare). It turns out that my puppy actually passed away 1.5 hours into their care because he went into cardiac arrest. It was the most heartbreaking phone call to ever receive. After grieving for almost a week, I decided writing this review is important to make sure others are aware and can make the right decision by their pet instead of blindingly trusting the doctors at this clinic. Something tells me that if we had maybe decreased the amount of drugs the doctor was recommending, I’d still have my puppy with me here today. Absolutely heartbreaking. I have PTSD from this hospital and will never visit ever again. P.S. let me emphasize this: in the end I lost my fur baby of just 7 months and ended up with a $1,500 bill when he died 1.5 hours into their care.

The Receptionists and Technicians are very caring and empathetic. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the Veterinarian Tammy Beckstead. How can one call themselves a Veterinarian yet refuse to perform emergency surgery on an animal? It is like a Doctor refusing to perform emergency surgery on a child. A "personality clash" with a parent (words used by the Office Manager to defend the Vet's actions) should not prevent proper care for an animal. We went to the other clinic up the road and received amazing care. The Veterinarian there (Dr. Bethany Morgan) described what she was going to do, called me when the surgery was finished (as requested by me - at 1:30 am) and followed up with a detailed report as to what had happened. The report confirmed that my dog did not chew through her stitches (as the North Town Vet stated), rather there were other issues with them. I am not sure what the other Veterinarians at North Town are like but if Tammy Beckstead's behaviour is being excused by the Office Manager, it is best to stay away. Your loved ones (and you) deserve to be treated with respect and compassion.

Vet was amazing, prices are great, they are so caring and all about the animal, we had to bring a rescue that we knew nothing about to them at 1am, they worked with him and us.

We took our puppy here after he fell and suffered a hairline fracture on one of his legs. The bill was hefty with x-ray, blood work, medication and the examination - as a first time dog owner I really don't know have a good frame of comparison. However, they were very thorough and called to give us updates through the process. The 5 stars, is really for the follow up phone call that we were very impressed with, double checking we had scheduled a follow up appoint with our regular vet, checking in to see if our puppy was adjusting well to the medication and answering any other questions we had - HUGE thanks to our girl Becka, who was patient and took the time to answer all of our questions. Way to go! :)

Joan Nelson

So kind and attentive...many thanks to this great team that took care of my fur baby Rudy. I didn't have no where to turn to as every other vet i called was "fully booked"! And my cat needed urgent care. Especially during these difficult times of Covid, i feel they gave the best care to my baby and he's happy again. It was my first visit. Thank you ????

Gary Noseworthy

Felt like a money grab, called in advance about an emergency then when my daughter went they just started to add more and more to the bill. She couldn't even be with her highly anxious pup through it all.

Safety is top priority with North Town! They always have your pet’s well-being in their best interest.

Been going here for almost 9 years with my 2 cats & dog. Their service and care has been terrible lately. Maybe a change in Management? They just don’t seem to care. From mistakes made in ordering basic tick/flea medication and then charging me for an extra dose to declining to see my doctor for 9 years (while they still work there). JUST TERRIBLE! They lack empathy for any animal and just seem to be greedy! When addressing with the Manager, all I got was excuses. Not sure how they treat the They REFUSED to make an appointment for my pet because of an honest review I put up here. Based on the review they turned my pet down and said “they don’t want me here and to go somewhere else” They do not want to fix their mistakes & provide the appropriate service but instead will turn patients down. GOOD RIDDANCE! STAY AWAY! PLENTY BETTER VETS OUT THERE WHO CARE!

This is the worst place possible to take your pet in an emergency and they don’t care if this is your existing veterinarian and making you wait for hrs outside with a sick pet. Highly recommended go somewhere else than north town veterinary! I myself will never use this place and drive another one hour if needed! Note no customer service period...!!!!

Took my dog here for a broken nail and was charged $500 , my dog is a small pug chihuahua and the bandage they used to wrap her one paw costed over $20 ! Staff are not the nicest and vets always seem “too busy” , also the condescending attitude off the staff is uncalled for . Go to a small practice and support local , these big companies are not it. Would not take my dogs here again. If you cant pay upfront they will literally let your pet die. I only suggest going here if the emergency is life threatening and you have no other options !

There should be an option for 0 stars. I would NOT recommend this Veterinary clinic to anyone. Recently my daughter rushed her dog there in an emergency as he appeared to have a blockage (one the was determined by another Veterinary Emerg that could have been fatal) they admitted the dog after a 3 hour wait. Although their xray machine was broken (confirmed by a technician who works there) they claimed they'd xrayed the dog not once but twice. Finding "something" in his stomach but unclear as to what it was. They kept the dog to "monitor " him overnight and he was discharged the next day. This dog was home for less than 12 hours when he began to decline rapidly. They asked she come back and again waited 3 hours in the parking lot. It was only after waiting again she was told that they couldn't treat him, their xray broken and to find another emergency clinic! Mississauga Emergency on Winston Churchill immediately admitted the dog that same night and performed the life saving surgery that removed the obstruction. Had we followed THIS vet clinics recommendation (he was fine, take him home, no big deal) the dog would have died. The sheer negligence this clinic shows is without a doubt cause for concern and is definite grounds for a formal complaint to OVC.

Awful experience. Pet care is not top of mind - they only care about money. My cat is very ill and was being treated at a clinic in Port Credit but they did not do overnights. Had to bring my cat here - will not be back. Staff was very rude and could care less about my cat. They wanted to do everything by phone in parking lot (I get it with Covid but it was very impersonal and emotions are running high given my cat was not doing well) - basically yelled at me to get in my car. I had to place him in a breezeway and go back to my car. Vet tech (who was rude on phone) started by asking me what needed to be done (pretty sure that is your job?) and then wanted me to fork over $750 for overnight or $2300 if they kept him longer without explaining costs. Our vet had called and given them a heads up but clearly they wrote nothing down. I decided to pick him up in AM and take him elsewhere, would rather give my money to a vet clinic that cares. I kindly asked twice what time to pick up cat in AM and they said morning staff would call me. I received a voicemail at 9:17am stating that I needed to pickup my cat now or would be charged. They literally didn’t even say how he was doing…. Arrived to pick up cat, again no one let me know how he was doing - did not even acknowledge cat. I had to ask if he had even eaten, if he was okay, etc. and I was told “oh, I don’t know, one sec”. When I got him into car, he was SOPPING in drool - literally soaked. As in, must have been drooling all night long and no one even checked on him. Do not send your pets here. The reviews speak for themselves. I wish I read them beforehand.

I originally had -what I thought- was a positive experience with North Town however must retract. Aside from Jamie and some other front desk staff who are lovely, I do not think that patient care is of the first priority here. We now rely on Animal Health Partners (honest*, ethical*, experienced, and knowledgeable) for our emergency pet needs. Yes, AHP is worth the extra distance if North Town is the alternative.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My dog was seriously ill and all other emergency vet clinics were at capacity. I called North Town Veterinary Hospital and they told me they would be able to take in my dog and care for him, all I had to do was bring him into the clinic and call when I got there. I did just as instructed and travelled 30 minutes just to be told they could no longer take in MY SERIOUSLY ILL DOG????? Vets are supposed to value animal life, yet it seems to me this hospital only values money. I am disgusted by the morality of the clinic and would not recommend this place to anyone. Not only did I waste my time when I could have went else where, but I also jeopardized my dog's well being due to false promises. If you're going to open a vet clinic, please do so because you're passionate about caring for animals.

I absolutely love the staff/techs at North Town, my 20 month Morkie had gotten a piece of a stick lodged into his jaw/gum and it wasn’t moving, I quickly rushed him to North Town, and within 30 minutes they had admitted Marty and gotten the stick removed safely, since they were able to quickly do it without the use of drugs they didn’t even bill me! This was actually my second visit here, they did a fantastic job the first time as well, and I normally don’t leave reviews but I couldn’t not leave one after my experience today, as great as these guys are I hope I don’t have to visit again, but if I ever do need emergency care for my puppy, I will never hesitate to come to North Town!

Brought my cat in to resolve a urinary blockage, luckily I had done my research because they tried to charge me 5000 dollars for a 3 day intensive care hospital stay. Through process of elimination I managed to request the treatments that would actually be beneficial for my cat, and he recovered fine for 1/5th of the cost. They sent him home with me the same night with no warning about how disoriented he would be after the anesthesia. The vets were cold and had a demeanour as if they were irritated. Not sure if there has been a major change in staff or ownership but this clinic is not how it used to be. Also there was a separate occasion where we brought in a stray cat (that was chipped) and they did not even check for the chip, and decided that the cat was pregnant (it was fixed so that was impossible). So I was charged for pointless examinations. There is a level of incompetency that has become evident over the last couple of visits. I will not be returning.

Im so thankful for the extra care and understanding of the lovely staff at North town vet. My guinea pig suffered a heart attack late at night and even though the don't specialize in small pets they offered to try and help us. unfortunately she passed before we could make it in to the office but the women on the phone ( i wish i caught her name) was so helpful and kind. She helped me the next day when we brought the body to be cremated, she took her time to explain all the options, offered sincere condolences and even asked how my other pig was doing. Thank you for making a difficult time a little bit easier.

I came to this vet for my cat that had an emergency situation. They told me to wait an hour and half I did . They come back wait another hour and half. I see all these other people bringing there pets in by mine is not getting looked at. They come back out wait another half hour. My phones about to die and I ask them if I can leave my cat there well I go to the gas station across the street to charge my phone. They wouldn't even do that..They come out anither half an hour later and said I have to wait another hour and a half. So I just left they dont care about pets they just care about money. Never bringing my animals here again.

These amazing people, I can't express the amount of appreciation I have for them. Im crazy about my cat and they always take such amazing care of her. After a scare today and waiting 5 hours, the outcome was worth the wait. Thank you thank you thank you! Keep up the amazing work!

Worst vet hospital ever. My dog was in so much pain and the nurses said he is stable when he could not even walk. The nurses have no respect for others they talk so rude to others screaming over the phone and charging us double the amount. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN THEY ARE USLESS THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU AT ALL WHAT SO EVER. Deserve 1 star reviews only.

Worst vet I have ever been to , do not recommend please if you care about your pets do not take them here they have no idea what they are doing

Diana Pereira

Worse play possible. We waited 3hrs in a car with a sick cat that died yesterday no thanks to them. Do yourself a favour go somewhere else. Not worth it if you love your pet. The staff there are the rudest you will ever meet and should not be allowed to work with pets!

Came here at 10 pm, it is now 2 am. I’m standing in the dark parking lot and still the vet tech told me keep waiting 45 minutes. I’m not sure if my dog will survive. I explained to the vet tech the urgency that my dog can’t stand on his legs, apparently the 4 hour wait meant my dog is not priority. Never again! Never coming back again !!
