Over priced, had to ask multiple times for my pets records not only that the receptionist sat there and argued with me saying there busy, even though it’s been a week since I ask for there records. Rude staff and waaaaay over priced, would never recommend anyone to take there pets here for that reason! They are always trying to scam and make more money!

Absolute worst vet ever! I took my 4 month old puppy in because he seemed sick and this doctor who wasn't making any sense said she needs to go xray and blood work and when I asked why she couldn't give me an answer. Then she said my puppy needs antibiotics and I asked for what and she couldn't give me an answer. And to do an examination and xray and blood work it wouldve cost me $588. I went back to my regular vet. They are definitely money hungry and don't do a good job or care for the animals. Don't go here!!

This was our first vet visit since we got our puppy and we were very nervous but after meeting Dr.Chahal we knew our puppy was in good hands! Him and his staff are very knowledgeable and they genuinely love animals; they took the time to explain the vaccines and treatment and even answered all our questions regarding food, training and the overall health of our puppy. It was important for us to find a Vet that we and our puppy felt comfortable with and we found just that!

Went to this vet because of all the 5 star reviews people have left. However, do not trust these reviews! I've gone to this vet twice now, the first time I was already a bit skeptical as they were trying to push me to buy unnecessary products; when I refused, they started to scare me and said my dog would start throwing up again and be sick because he's not eating the right food (which is the same food they try to sell in their clinic). I decided to give them another chance, and they let me down again. The vet does not look at the records at all because if he did he would not have repeatedly mentioned that my dog is missing shots (that his records clearly outline he recently got). He then proceeded to tell me the different things that my dog will need, and was ready to prescribe it. Finally, they wanted to pre-charge me for a fecal sample test, which I didn't agree to do in the first place, but again he told me "I have to do this." He makes everything sound very life or death if I don't listen. I went in for a simple vaccination and left being charged for a physical exam, in addition to his vaccines. This "physical exam" was a simple temperature and ear check. I definitely will not be going back to this vet, and really hope people reconsider going here as well.

We took our puppy here for his second set of vaccinations and found the nurse and doctor to be friendly and knowledgeable. They spent time explaining the treatment (injections) and also providing answers to our general puppy questions. Based on the initial visit, we are looking forward to a long relationship with Lacoste Animal Hospital (hopefully with very few visits needed).

Dr.Chahal is the bomb dot com. He actually takes the time to talk about all the different treatments and paths of health to take, he genuinely cares about animals. Not only that but the prices here are unbeatable. For example, at all other vets I went to the cost of neutering was $300-500 but here it's $150. And booster shots are usually $20 instead of $60 Being a student, this is amazing! I would recommend anyone here! Top care! Top prices! You can't go wrong at Lacoste. Not to mention it's really pretty inside and they have doctors office rooms like you would have at your family doctors but for pets. I have gone to a couple of vets in the short time I've had my two kittens, but once I found Lacoste I won't go anywhere else !!!!

The Vet and staff are amazing. My Luna is a difficult one during vet visit. She hates them. The team manages to take her in and make things as quick and smooth as possible. During this year she needed to get extra shots and a tooth extractions. Everything went smoothly and they went over everything well. So far ive been with them for over 2 years and Its great how the team is on top with calls when it comes to appointment reminders, updates on test, or follow ups. (Their emails helps a lot too). The Dr. Kanwar and Ania were very patient to my dog Didi and me. They were willing to spend more time to explain the reasons and plan of treatment. This is the service I don't see often from other vet clinic. More over, Didi and I had a good experience seeing the doctor and his staffs. If checking doctors is part of dogs and human lifes, this is a good example that we are all prefer.

I had my puppy appointment for his 1st year booster vaccine. I specifically booked for Dr. Chahal a month ago on his availability. My puppy was taken inside for vaccination and no one bothered to inform me that Dr. Chahal is not available. Upon asking they started arguing. All the people in this hospital are money minded.. They are ready to poke my kid one more time but not acting humans.. Be human people.. learn some humanity and be kind with pets..

Lacoste animal hospital provides excellent service to both myself as a customer and my pets. They give multipet discounts if you have more than one pet which is a great bonus. Dr Chahal is very caring and patient with both of my pets and takes the time to properly explain any health procedures that must be done. They are very organized and also send reminder emails out whenever you have upcoming appointments which for me is very helpful. The front receptionists are also very helpful and treat your pets like family. I give them a 10/10.

Look up this doctor on Google, you will find he has had multiple vet clinics in different names to get away from all the bad reviews. He works with puppy mills all over ontario, falsifying vet papers. If you care for your pet do not take them to Dr. Chahal. The good reviews on here are probably people that know him. There is a whole Facebook page dedicated to people's stories that have had terrible experiences with this vet. He also goes under the vet name of Dixie Animal hospital.

My five month old cockapoo puppy loves going to this place because of the yummy treats she gets there. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The doctor is very gentle with the animals and his primary concern seems to be the well-being of my puppy which is very encouraging. I brought my 9-week old puppy Rupert in after he had an unfortunate fall right on his tiny head. I called in a panic and was far less than gracious on the phone. I made unreasonable threats to Amer (excuse my spelling), but she was still gracious and kind, something I didn't deserve. I was so pleased with the care I was provided. The vet was more than kind to take the time to explain that my puppy was okay, and gave me great advice! Thank you for calling back, even when I was hysterical and gracious enough to see my puppy so quickly! Also- the cost was very reasonable, and I was able to take my puppy home confidently knowing he was okay! I will certainly be recommending your services to my friends!

The absolute worst vet to go to!! The most money hungry animal hospital!! Took my puppy in because he was growing a bump on his right elbow, searched it up and found it was hygroma. I went to the vet just to make sure and the vet was so inexperienced that she could not even tell us what it was without testing that was going to cost at least 200!! I told her I’d come back and she kept insisting I would need testing and then they kept scaring me into paying for testing! Then they charged me $75 for telling me they don’t know what’s wrong with my dog! I went to another vet for a second opinion and she was like this is common and it is Hygroma, and properly advised me, and charged me only $45! I never plan on going back to this money hungry terrible veterinarian with no knowledge at all regarding pets!

Horrible customer service! Sat there arguing with my wife when she asked on 3 separate occasions for pet records. It’s one thing to be “busy” even though they said within 48 hours you will receive your records. They over charge for any kind of work they do. They were charging over $900 for my female to get fixed, went to another local clinic and they are charging me $400. That’s a $500 difference for the same operation. I will never ever take my pets back here and or recommend them to anyone that owns pets, they are money hungry thief’s. They give a 10% discount for writing 5 star reviews, only reason people post reviews.

This animal hospital is horrible. Absolutely every visit I was overcharged (roughly $900 for <5lbs puppy's first shots) . One of the girls called me and lectured me for electing not to do something for MY dog. I finally agreed, and then she did NOT call me with the results. I requested my dogs medical records to switch to another clinic, and when I finally received them (after 3 separate attempts), I read in the medical notes that they had called me with results and spoken to me, when they had not. They did not provide me with the Rabies collar, and I never had the chance to speak with the vet, only their assistants - they claim this was due to COVID. The girls are RUDE unless you do everything they offer. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE. Go to a vet that actually cares about the animals, and not $$$.

We didn't receive any reminder call for our dog's vaccination. She's registered with them since she is birn. And she is only 2 yrs old. So 2nd year, they started forgetting her. Time to open is 9.00 am. It's not mentioned anywhere that doctor will be available at 10.00 am. Wasted an hour of my job time.

TL;DR: Good at first but the staff is not patient with your pet if your pet doesn't like going to the vet (which pet does?). Go to a vet who will care and take time to treat your pet. Our initial few visits were pretty good and the staff were very nice. But the recent visits were a nightmare. The doctors want your pet to be in and out and won't take the time to actually be patient and give your pet additional time if their condition and behaviour requires it. They care more about suggesting the easiest and/or most expensive treatment instead of actually going through all possible solutions. We went in for a consultation and treatment for my cat with an issue with his nail. The doctor spent less than 5 minutes actually trying to look at my cat and suggested he needed a procedure under anesthesia and booked our appointment & gave us our estimate. On the day of the procedure, the cat was supposed to be fasting but given that information wasn't provided to us during the consultation, the appointment had to be cancelled. We took my cat to another vet and the other vet took the time and waited until my cat was comfortable around her and did the treatment on the spot. No need to wait for another appointment for a lengthy procedure or any anesthesia. I trust that all doctors are competent at what they do but what the other doctor did differently was that she took the time with my pet. Instead of immediately dismissing my pet when he wasn't comfortable or aggressive around her, this vet took her time with him and gave him the love and kindness he needed until he was comfortable. I am very disappointed with the rush nature of our consultation with the Lacoste facility. I do not recommend.

Money Hungry Vet !!! They will find any excuse to overcharge and upsell you on everything. For minor issues they will insist on blood work, xrays and everything under the sun and you will leave with a 1000$ bill if you agree to it all. We met Dr. Kanwar Chahal when he took over the Dixie Animal Hospital in Mississauga at the beginning of this year.
