We've got the information of people like you who purchased the services and products of Dixie Road Pet Clinic (Veterinarian) in Brampton (Canada).
Right now this business receives a score of 4.2 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is quite good, and it is based on a very large number of reviews, so we may conclude that the valuation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian belongs to the category of Animal hospital.
20% off services with their Pet plans. This is great when you have aging pets with needs that are expensive.
I really like this Veterinary Hospital they have very nice vets. And the location is good (not inside a mall) still a lot of Green Space. And my dog never gets nervous when she goes for a visit.
I had a bad experience with this clinic. My dog had an eye infection. Took him to this vet clinic to get treatment. After 2 weeks the medication, didn't work and came back to get another medication. I was surprised to receive the invoice being charged for both the appointment and the medication. The rep informed me the vet is just guessing what works. I'm at the Vet to receive treatment for my dog. Not to for the Vet to play guessing games on what works and doesn't. I could've did that myself search for medication on the internet! I will be finding another vet after this incident. Good day!
Best vet clinic you can bring your pets to. My dog absolutely loves the staff which shows the level of service. They're friendly, helpful and always follow up with you in regards to how your pets are doing. Not only does my whole family appreciate the care they provide for our animals, Buster Beans, Cedric and Sammy appreciate it too.
We took our puppy here because he was sick and he wouldn't make it to his regular vet. The staff are incredibly friendly, easy to talk to and great with our puppy. They say hi to him every time he comes in and he's so happy. The vet tech that come in before the Vets are great, always happy, talkative and quick with my dog. The Vets are the same way, they're calm and get to the point with what your concern is. Everytime we've been here has been great even when our puppy was sick. Needless to say we've changed vets and they have a payment plans that helps a great deal! Even my puppy loves coming here.
Really good caring and friendly service. Staff is very professional and honest
The team at Dixie Road Pet Clinic go above and beyond every time. Roxy is always happy to see Dr. Yamada, he has the best bed side manner and even gave me some tricks to get Roxy to slow down when she eats. Thanks for taking such great care of my beast :)
I’ve been coming here for years! Always take good care of my fur babies and everyone is so kind! Ceasar boy Mackhan is well taken care of here, so was my last dog of 15 years. Great vets!
We are so pleased with our new Veterinarian Clinic. Just had our 13 year old Boston Terrier in for dental surgery, which we were terrified about. They put our minds at ease and treated our little guy like one of their own. A huge thank you to the entire Dixie Road team for looking after our boy. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM
Way too expensive try to take advantage of pet owners
We had excellent help and customer service. Good selection of prescription pet food.
Great staff
Staff, technicians and Vet are great!
Incredibly friendly and very very very helpful. Always a pleasure to recieved help from them.
All workers are knowledgeable and accomodating. They are very nice and care about the owners. Owners there are also very kind. Always a pleasure visiting with my pup.
I strongly advise to stay away from this clinic and their "membership" program which is nothing more than a money grab. I would not recommend this clinic at all - during a time where my pet was in need to see the vet, Dixie Road Pet Clinic was not helpful at all. I will definitely not be returning or renewing my membership. 1. They have a "call centre" that receives your phone call and takes your "message" - they then forward it to the staff who will then call you hours later. It does not matter that you may be doing something at that time, if you do not pick up, they leave you a message and when you call back, you get sent to the call centre again and it's an extremely frustrating process - especially when you are concerned about your pet. 2. Trying to get an appointment for your pet is next to impossible. They either have mornings available (which for most is difficulty because of work)...or they will not have an appointment available until the next week. Then they so friendly tell you "feel free to go to an emergency vet if you think its urgent" ...and as a pet owner like most, we feel more comfortable going to a vet where our pet feels the most comfortable. For example, after waiting 1.5 weeks for an appointment for my pet, I called the morning of to confirm the appointment time as they did not send me an email confirmation. They never called, the call centre simply took my message yet no staff called me back. When I showed up 45 minutes late because I mixed up the time, they provided no flexibility to even quickly see my pet... they offered me the next appointment 1 week later, and then the next available for an evening appointment 2 weeks later... There is no flexibility or empathy to help someone in a time where they need support - as a health care practitioner myself, this entire clinic and it's "protocols" are disappointing. 3. Even with an appointment, be prepared to wait 30+ minutes outside in your car with your pet before they call you.
Better than other vets in the area.
I think they were very informative. Quick, friendly service. Would highly recommend
Good honest vet
They are always super helpful and willing to spend the time with me a d my puppy when I have questions.
My fiancé has been taking my kitten (Trunks) to see Tamara for his monthly examinations and vaccines and she is so sweet. She is thorough with her updates and warm with Trunks. He really doesn't mind going to the vet at all. If you are considering going to this clinic, definitely go through with it.
Friendly staff and great service, me and my puppy are very happy :)
Best animal clinic I’ve ever been too! Super friendly, extremely welcoming! Lots of advice and options! Overall great service!!
Need equipment and experience doctors
I understand that Covid-19 made things difficult but man Dixie Vet has been handling it worse than most. When you call you go to an answering center and then maybe they get back to you in 24 hours to make an appointment. The vets are also only in a handful of days so making an appoint for anything slightly urgent is impossible. When you manage to get an appointment they don't even allow one person to go in, which most places are doing but for some reason they aren't. That isn't even my biggest problem it's just it's at the point now where I think I'm just going to go to another vet that I can at least get in contact with. If Dixie Vet is your clinic you're pretty much destined to be going to emergency vets because you aren't getting a response from Dixie. It feels like the owner is just trying to save money at this point.
Nothing wrong with the actual Vets at this place. But not happy to get told that vaccines with Rabies or without Rabies is the same price. You know you have to be fair to all customers. When I emailed to say how disappointed I was, I got this canned email response "thanks sorry we couldn't accommodate you, we cancelled your account. Have a nice day" Wow, when you know a company is making way too much money, when they do not care if you stay a customer or not.
Manager is rude and uncaring
Rude Staff
Friendly service. Knowledgeable staff.
friendly staff. very clean. they offer a program where you can pay monthly for the year and it covers various exams, vaccines, and etc. definitely a cool options to look into so that you are not paying everything all up front. they can submit insurance claims directly to your pet insurance company as well.
Very satisfied
Staff is super sweet. Knowledgeable and thorough. Found this clinic through google and by luck kf the draw they turned out to be amazing
Great place, great staff. Always doing an awsome job. As a pet owner they really helped me along the way to make sure my dog has a healthy life. Thanks :)
The team is excellent. They make you feel like a member of their family rather than a client. Dr. Yamada has a genuine love for animals and our dog (who is anxious by nature) has always been comfortable around him. We highly recommend this clinic to anyone!
Super friendly!
Very friendly, helpful and competent staff. Helped my cat. Thx
Highly recommended ! Great docs especially Dr Yamada and friendly staff. I recently dealt with Lauren who is Awesome ! Keep up the great work
Amazing vets and vet techs! They always go above and beyond for our dogs, and even manage to have a good relationship with our very nervous GSD. ????
As trying and sad as it can be to take your beloved animals to any vet, these people really care. A great level of empathy and they're still able to clear the air with honest, polite and friendly banter with the vet and techs. Thank you for very much for everything!
I called Dixie Road Pet Clinic today to book an appointment for my dog who is in initial stage of skin infection. I was told that the earliest available date is Aug 16. I mean, why would I pay for yearly membership if I have to go to emergency hospital to get attention for my pet. Yes, I agree with a lot of people that this membership is money grab and nothing more than that. I have this membership for both of my dogs from last couple of years and when I needed this service the most I was not able to use it. I am with this clinic since April 2014 and I think due to COVID pet rush, vets are in extreme demand and this is why they hardly care about their clients. I was advised to take my dog to the emergency hospital if I need an early appointment. I think a lot of us will agree that it doesn't make any sense to pay for Dixie Road Pet Clinic's yearly membership and then pay for emergency hospital bills on top of that. I think an aware and responsible consumer strongly believe that if he/she has invested in a service then they have a right to get benefit from it. The rep on the phone was least interested to resolve the issue and had no concern regarding the situation.
We have been clients of the clinic for 8 years and 2 months. Every visit the quality of care and professionalism provided has gradually declined. We stuck with them as we appreciate the need for familiarity for our dog. Our last visit 2 weeks ago was the final straw. We were scheduled for an annual vaccination appointment. I note, the clinic did not send us a reminder much less have any knowledge that he required shots! We recognize that during COVID dog parents are not permitted in the clinic. That said, the vet ought to have the courtesy to pick up the phone and update you on the care provided. I recognize you may be too busy and you have grown as a clinic but is this not what you you are being paid for? I do not appreciate the pushiness and "know it all" attitude of the support staff. To be told that you are a bad pet owner for choosing not to get a stool sample or a blood test is not appreciated especially when he has no health issues. Booking an appointment is another nightmare. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. It took a week plus for a mere call back. After which the back and forth and the sheer lack of coordination made it obvious that the off site staff was attempting to coordinate with staff on-site. The lack of transparency with respect to services provided and services required is further indicative how commercial they have gotten. Ask for an invoice, more importantly ask for a break down of what you are being charged .Before signing up for the pet care gimmick plan review it, analyze it, understand it. While new pet owners may be taken in by the charm initially more experienced pet owners will be put off. We have changed vets and our 8 yr old and our new puppies will also be cared for another provider.
Such friendly staff. My dog absolutely loves the staff. They are kind and truly want the best for your pets. They make everything so easy and hassle free
Pet lovers here
Excellent staff and vets
Had a great experience with my pup here! They provide perfect service for someone with a busy schedule that wants the best care for their pet! The doctors are very comprehensive and knowledgeable.
I felt all this place cared about was money.
They actually care for your pets like its their own
I do not recommend this pet clinic. I have had two separate issues. The first problem was my cat had a small lump on his side which they did one needle sample. They said they did not know what it was and wanted to perform surgery on my cat. It ended up just going away on its own, whatever it was. Without doing any further imaging or any other tests, they wanted to do surgery on my cat when he did not even need it. Next, I took my cat to the emergency clinic, which were great. They sent us home with a medication for my cat to help ease some of his symptoms. We also decided that it would be best if I just did the urine sample to start and follow up with more testing. I was to drop off the sample to my normal vet (dixie pet clinic). They said they would call me when the results came in which takes 2-3 days. Over 2 weeks went by still no phone call. I did however receive an email a week later asking how my cat was and pushing for one of his vaccinations to be up to date which is the last of my worries right now , I am concerned about the issue I took him to the emergency vet for. I finally called them because I thought it was strange they never called me and left me an email mentioning nothing about his urine sample. It turns out they didn't call me or mention it because THEY DID NOT EVEN DO IT. Pure incompetence! I do not trust these people with my cat. I will be finding a different clinic to go to.
Good
The staff here cannot be compared, they are the Best!!! They treat each Fur baby as if they were their own. They go over and beyond to make sure you feel at ease with leaving your fur baby with them under their care. I would recommend Dixie Road Pet Clinic to anyone who will listen
Dr Yamada is the best, all the staff at the clinic are professional and courteous. Their Wellness Packages are a great way to spread out the cost of proper pet Care throughout the year. I subtracted one star for the call answering service they use which I find quite frustrating. I would rather leave a voicemail for them directly at the clinic than speak to a third party who is working elsewhere and just taking messages.
Only place I would take my best friend. They are so great with your pet. They treat you like family.
Amazing place to take your pets!
We switched to Dixie Rd Pet Clinic and haven't regretted the decision. The doctors are amazing, reception staff are very friendly and super accomodating we have any needs.
Great staff, highly recommended
Amazing staff
Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Our go to vet in Brampton
Fantastic customer service they booked me again twice because I got late for my first appointment which was really nice of them. Veteran were really polite they had a great time with my pug puppy & this would my favourite location to visit.
Very friendly team who make you and your pets feel welcome!!
I used to take my Princess (dog) to this clinic from when I first got her and she was having some health issues. Dr. Yamada was awesome with my little girl and helped me nurse her back to health. Fast forward a few years (after recommending this clinic to my neighbours) and them taking both of their babies to this clinic. The team of ladies that worked at this office as well as the veterinarians took it upon their self to get involved in a divorce case that had nothing to do with them! That is when this clinic started to show their true colours and stopped caring about the animals. The sad part is that they NEVER knew the whole story. Because of there very bad business practices, I decided with my neighbour that we would look for a new veterinarian that would love our dogs (as they are our children!). NOT only are we over the moon about switching veterinarian clinics, we actually meet an amazing team that cares WAY more about your animal then the money you pay them! Plus it was a total Bonus the new clinics pricing is almost half of what Dixie Road Pet Clinic charges. I would NOT recommend this clinic to anyone who values good business practices, someone who cares more about your baby more then the money and fair pricing. Edit: Sorry there was no miscommunication as there was signed paperwork from the staff. Really they had no business getting involved and should have just worried about the dogs.
Very nice
Worst pet clinic. I would not recommend this clinic. They use to be a good clinic, and now they are the worst. They do not care if your pet is not doing well. Be prepared to pay out of pocket for a walk-in clinic. They are usually fully booked for the week and will refer you to emergency clinics or if your dog can wait till the next available appointment (a week later). I paid $200 out of pocket in the last two weeks because they are closed on a Wednesday or fully booked. What's new? It does not matter if it is an urgent matter. They are not helpful at ALL.
it's all about money and how much they can get off you
I have called 5 times to make an appointment for my baby Rottweiler. Each time they said they will send a new puppy email which I have to fill out. No such email was sent and every time I call back to inquire about why I didn’t get the email they say they will call me back. And fail to do so They do not care about new clients!!!
Just amazing! Great service Lovely staff And all my animals love coming to them!
Very nice stuff and great service. I switch from North Park Veterinary and I'm so glad I did. Keep up the good work.
I really like coming to this Vet - staff is friendly, they're honest and not like other Vets who try to really hard to persuade you to buy "extras". The pricing is quite reasonable as well - compared to Vets in the GTA.
Great staff!
Dr hollanger was very knowledgeable and staff were friendly
My oldest doggy has been patient from this clinic for the past 5 years and the new puppy for the last two. I recognize Dr Yamada is an excellent and knowlogeable vet, however I have noticed that fees for a simple consultation or routine check up has been increasing the same with vaccines. For example used to be 80 bucks now you are charging like 125 This is way too much for regular people with regular jobs and tons of other expenses who cares for their furry friends.
Unprofessional, no answers just more money.
Dr Yomada is great! highly recommend this Clinic
We Highly recommend this pet clinic, all the staff was very helpful & cordial. They made us feel very comfortable and provided excellent assistance first by accommodating us with a quick appointment. . Dr. Tamara Hollinger was excellent by taking lots of time & provided good insights regarding the concerns we had about our British short hair cat Luna whom she taught was pregnant, she was very patient with us; took time to answer all our questions. We did not feel pressured about anything, she is very knowledgeable and was very helpful.
I take my pappy here after the tree visit they figured out what is wrong with him ,the waiting period is 1h to see the dr. That is if you have an appointment and you're on time. I will not recommend this clinic they care only about the money very expensive.
Very helpfully staff
Poor management, if any. I've witnessed how "nice" the girls at the front desk can be when they're taking your money and then turn around and crack jokes after you leave about how one client who paid in cash constantly must be a stripper or drug dealer, To be fair I believe those words came out of doctor Yamada's mouth before the girls chimed in. Regardless they all seemed to get a kick out of joking about clients money, considering thats their paycheque at the end of the day... they should be professional at all times
We've been a few times with our pup. Genuinely kind and expertised.
I'm truly grateful to this team at Dixie Clinic in understanding my situation and showing me the compassion I needed. I must have called 10 clinics before I roundly got in contact with the team here who accepted my emergency with my pet. I'm truly grateful for compassion and the respect and care I needed. Thank you for everything
Moved in to area and the reception and welcome was best over others. Great vets who educate and staff that get to know you
Took my dog Maggie there today and was very impressed! My dog usually doesn't like the vet and can be quite uncooperative! Jenn got on the floor with her and rubbed her belly and gave her treats while Dr. Yamada examined her. She loved it! The vet explained different options to me about Maggie's care. It didn't feel 'all about money' like I had experienced at another clinic. He spend a lot of time and seemed to really care about Maggie! Definitely would recommend them!
I went with this vet because it was the closest to me but it is a wonderful vet they are quick and get the job done!
YAMADA is a very nice pleasant man during a exam he seems to really care about you as they all do
No stars for this place. Tried to get an appointment for my dog. Back and forth a number of times with their call centre. Finally got an email with an appointment Only to get a call on the day of the appointment to tell me they didn’t hear back from me so canceled the appointment. Don’t bring your pet here. So unprofessional
Fantastic clinic! Want to let yo know our Miley has crossed the Rainbow bridge. Thank you for taking care of her.
Very Professional and thorough! I know my furry babies are in excellent hands whenever they are at the clinic or under their care. Highly recommend!!!
Awesome staff and incentives
Fantastic staff and always a great experience.
I was at Dixie Rd Vet this morning for an appointment I had to wait over two weeks for. One of their technicians Jillian was very confrontational with me and exercised no customer service skills. I finally had to say that I would be leaving them after years of taking my little dog there. They printed out part of her history. For, which they charged 30 dollars and the file was incomplete. They say they will e-mail the rest. Now my pet will have to wait even longer to get treatment, all thanks to a cantankerous Jillian. They have lost a repeat customer due to her ineptitudes.
I am a first time dog owner. I chose this clinic because of the reviews and the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Vet was amazing. She listened to my concerns and offered suggestions. Mia was very comfortable with her...Good place, good people.
Our dog was unable to sleep nor were we, The vet discovered she had a mild bladder infection, an hour and a half after antibiotics kicked in she was asleep and so were we.
Excellent care and service
Veterinarians are great. Receptionist are unorganized
Best pet clinic
Very pet friendly environment.Good wet.
Welcoming place to bring your pet for check, and great staff members. Definitely recommended
Great place to bring your pets. The staff and doctors are very friendly and helpful.
Good service
my puppy has recently been coming here and I’m very disappointed at first it was amazing but recently. They’ve stoped conforming my appointment times for my pup, also one of their staff members booked me an appointment for Sunday (when they are closed on sundays) and I was very upset calling the clinic before arriving to find out they aren’t even opend on sundays. Lastly I’m sitting here currently waiting for my pup to have her appointment done I’ve been waiting for half an hour past her appointment time.
I went to the pet click 12 minutes late today, I irraved around 09:12 am for my appointment at 09:00 am .I drove 38 km and they couldn't see me,If I was 20 to 30 minutes late I would understand it. The first time I went to this click I was earliee 5 minutes and had to wait 10 minutes pass appointment time, because they were busy, but I understood!! So my review is between 1.
Such caring people :) my dog loves them!
Great supportive staff with a kind heart. Very passionate about looking after the health and happiness of the furry members of your family. They looked after our poor pomeranian who was experiencing an extensive allergic reaction causing terrible heat spots. Thank you for all your professional care!
Have been with them for years. There really good!
HIGHLY disappointed with the service, I brought my cat in for his post neuter appointment he was in and out within 5 minutes. I am advised later on that he is missing a vaccine that they were supposed to give to him at this post neuter appointment. I brought him in for a pain his stomach the next vist and paid $900 to learn that he was simply constipated. They keep emailing and texting me to book him in for his past due for the vaccine that they forgot but its been 3 days no one replies or calls back. I asked for an appointment after my cats got quite injured after a fight I am advised theres no appointments available for 3 weeks. I'm not sure why I pay monthly for unlimited visits when they cannot deliver that. I was advised to go to another walk in clinic, meanwhile continue to pay them monthly for the terrible unreliable service
best choice of the 10 vets i called in a panic when my cat got sick. even mobile vets we jerks to me this long weekend. my poor cat. first time here after wining me over with convos with reception michelle and jen that morning. i called on and off for about an hr about problem with violent cat and he even had outdated shots. but they were super friendly and helpful out of their way suggesting solutions and websearch to try and help me remove a sick violent kitty. i pulled in a spacious lot and welcomed inside at reception area by big black cat binx super friendly and adorable. vet assistant/tech was super kind patient and friendly. vet, a pretty blonde girl, i forgot her name :(, was super helpful and both understanding and gentil toned to keep cat calm. bothhad lots of useful info and help. the two gave cat rabies shot and someother shot with distemper in it with ease and professionalism and soothing praises. they informed me of the legal complications about rabies up to date in case of incident and suggested shots once but did not force me or made me feel like i was a bad parent if i didnt want to buy more shots. i just wanted my baby to get better so money was not an issue. it also helped though that the fees were very reasonable ( to me ) for the working person that knows how to control their shopping lol most times. i left with smiles and ease and a cute plastic bag for all my papers. i would refer anyone to here. i have a chance to give a new client 25$ off. and would be glad to. thanks everyone for your caution and love. cant wait to come back here when we need medical help again xoxox
Dixie Road Pet Clinic is by far the Best Vets I have taken my dogs to. My Sadie had 22 teeth taken out a few weeks ago and all the staff and Dr. Yamada went above and beyond in both customer service and care for my little fur baby. It makes me so happy to know I can take my dogs into Dixie Pet Clinic and I will not be charged ridiculous/outrageous prices. Thank you to all the staff and Dr.Yamada for all that you do. Lori O'Grady.
The staff
Great service but expensive
Horrible customer service whatsoever, and when I finally managed to get an appointment after two weeks of calling everyday; I was turned away on the day of the appointment when I reached the clinic. I tried to explain to the veterinarian about my situation and she was very rude and was arguing with me over the phone for being 5 min late when I was outside the clinic the whole time. Also, with people that are this rude, I don't feel safe leaving my puppy under they're care. Since if these people arent human friendly, how can you expect them to be dog friendly. And if your the secretary and your reading this.... please fix up because you are the reason I'm never bringing my dog ever again.
