Let me start by saying that the vet we saw, Dr. Monika Ronow, was actually quite lovely and was great with my dog (hence two stars rather than one). My issues are with the clinic owners. The meds that were prescribed were over 30% more expensive than on line or at another veterinary clinic (which I discovered when I went elsewhere). When I asked for a prescription in order to save the difference I was told there would be a $25 prescription fee, albeit a one time fee. Also bloodwork had to be done annually AND there was a $35 "withdrawl fee" above and beyond the cost of the bloodwork. Dr. Ronow asked the owners to waive the prescription fee for me but they declined. On principal I decided to leave the clinic and drove to Barrie to see a vet I've taken my dog to on a couple of occasions previously when I lived up there. The bloodwork was 25% less than what I was quoted by Campbell. They also gave me the option of only having the kidney bloodwork that was required for the meds to be done which would have been 65% less. Also, as I noted before the medication was more than 30% less. I feel Campbell doesn't understand customer service and only thinks about making money. I think is foolish on their part. They lost a potential customer (ongoing revenue) and got a bad review (potential loss of revenue) and all over a $25 prescription fee.....if they had waived that fee I never would have realized how expensive they were in comparison to other clinics. Hopefully they learn something from this post.

This vet encouraged testing that a more reputable vet labeled as "redundant", and refused to do the minimum to determine the cause of my cat's illness, causing him to suffer for longer and putting my other pets at risk. Please, do not go here. I went to Campbell Vet with my very sick cat, Jupiter, and this vet tried to use it as a money grab. They told me Jupiter would need $2200 in diagnostic tests to determine what was wrong. I asked if there was any possibility of my kitty being contagious, as I had other cats at home, and they kept saying they couldn't be sure unless in depth diagnostics were done, but that there was no guarantee he would survive even with treatment. When I asked about euthanasia they said they would give me time to think about it and follow up to make sure my kitty wasn't suffering, which they never did. When I went to North Town for a second opinion a few days later I was told, almost definitively, that my cat was most likely suffering from FIP. They explained this after an ultrasound and abdominal fluid samples were taken (included in exam fee), neither of which the vet at Campbell did. The vet at North explained the severity of the illness, and it's infectious qualities. He did not encourage diagnostics, as he knew they would not help. Euthanasia was recommended in the most gentle way possible, and when I asked about diagnostics to confirm FIP for my other kitties sake, he actively deterred me because there is no test for FIP. The word he used was "redundant". I am very disappointed that Campbell was not more honest about the severity of the situation, and could not do the minimum testing required to determine a potential cause and if it was contagious or not. My cat has since been put down, may the sweet boy rest in peace. I wish I had gone to North first because they did not give me false hope in an attempt to line their pockets the way Campbell Vet did, and my cat would not have been suffering as long as he did while I tried to raise money for diagnostics and treatment. ** Considering the abundance of positive reviews and the lack of negative ones, I would like to note that I have had issues with companies deleting negative reviews before. I have documented this review as a result. Deleting it will only cause it to be reposted and shared on social media **

I love this veterinary clinic the physicians are excellent and caring from administrative staff to the veterinary assistance to the doctors themselves they are wonderful. So caring and fact that a couple of years ago the doctor was willing to come to my house and put my kitty cat down instead of me having to bring him to the veterinary clinic which is something that apparently isn’t really done anymore. I just found that so caring and laughing and I won’t ever take any of my animals anywhere else because that was such a genuine spirit have a person to be so caring asked to come all the way to my house and And put down my kitties so that he could be in a familiar environment when he went to a better place. So now I have a French bulldog puppy and I still have my other 12-year-old cockapoo dog and I will forever bring my animals to the clinic really great service very reliable responsive and they genuinely care and that means a whole heck of a lot.

My fiancé and I brought our 14 yr old dog Tish in, from the first call to the end of the appointment we have nothing but a great experience. When we first got there Tish was happy and instantly felt comfortable with the Vet Tech, so we knew that was a good sign. We normally worry about vets cause we haven't been able to find one we like, that changed with Campbell Vet. The people are amazing, friendly and very caring. We will definitely be back in the future. Tish ended up needing surgery which we expected but the Dr. Ostrander was amazing and the confidence she had in the surgery and the health of Tish helped ease our minds. Tish did great and even a few days after I received a call from Sarah the receptionist following up about how she was doing. We are super happy with our experience and we definitely will let others know about Campbell Vet.

A promising start of a new relationship only to end in disappointment. I left hopeful for answers from the test results only to find out there were no testing and the vet visit was a waste of time and money. . My poor pup is still sick, we still have no idea why, and what the severity level is. Now proper treatment/answers will be delayed for another day. This lack of communication is disappointing, irresponsible and left a possible severe and time sensitive illness untreated.

The veterinarian and employees are amazing! Prior to my visit here I had gone to 3 other animal hospitals. I am pleased to say that I will continue to bring all my animals and highly recommend for others to do so as well. They were incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating to my German shepherd. Even after informing the staff that he was deemed dangerous by the city I felt very welcomed to their facility and so did my shepherd. The veterinarian was patient allowing my shepherd to receive a thorough examination unlike at the other hospitals. I took the time to write this review as I don’t know how else to show my appreciation. Thank you Campbell Veterinary Hospital!!!

We have been taking our cats to Campbell Veterinary Hospital for years. This December our cat stopped eating and she was very sick. The staff was wonderful. They gave us an appointment immediately. Because of Covid we could not go in and we were very worried. They kept in touch with us constantly regarding what tests they were running and why. Our cat had to stay overnight and they made sure we knew she was okay. She needed a variety of medicine once we took her home and they explained everything to us and offered to give her the pills if we could not get our cat to take them. We highly recommend Campbell Veterinary Hospital.

Horrible vet, STAY AWAY!! They only care about making money not the actual health of peoples pets. They charge $100 to talk over the phone about your pet, it is an absolute scam. They rip pet owners off who don’t know any better and try to force extra and unnecessary fees on people, and then they give you attitude when you try and challenge them. This place is a joke find a vet who actually cares about animals and not just making as much money as they can.

Bring my dog here when he stays with my dad as they are around the corner, always helpful and sweet people. The female doctor was trying to find me every appropriate cost and route to take for my kiddo when he had diarrhea from BW to RXs she gave all cost options and best options in general. They send lovely reminder emails to keep you on track. I enjoy having them and a relationship with them for if my dad ever has issues, affordable and easy to communicate with staff :)

I can't say enough great things about Campbell Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Monika Ronow is so sweet and knowledgeable. She puts not only your pet but yourself at ease as soon as you walk into the room. She answers all of your questions, and asks you a few as well. She is very gentle when handling your pet.The receptionist welcomes you, and will chat with you while you wait. The wait time isn't long. I waited a few minutes and in we went. The people who are there assisting the vets are just wonderful, and make you feel very comfortable. If you're looking for a caring, and reasonably priced vet, Campbell Veterinary Hospital is the place for you. I would highly recommend it .

Very bad experience,my close friend lost their dog tiger yesterday.they admitted their dog in this clinic at 9:00am in the morning Wednesday 5th with stomach pain.they told them they goona admited their dog but he needs surgery of their dog.and would be successful.they goona call the doctor and let them know.after leaving their dog at this clinic they gotta call at 2:50pm that they need to take their dog at Torantoo hospital Becoz Doctor is not there.Family wasn’t aware of His situation.when they arrived at Toronto veterinary hospital they said their dog condition is critical,and he is in unbearable pain and they have to give injection for sleep for always as he wouldn’t be guaranteed he could survive now even after 8000-10000 $ operation.and due to known situation they took decision to relieve his pain by giving eunthansia injection.i m witness of family situation now how bad they are now, they are blaming their self for this becoz they thought they shouldn’t bring their dog to Brampton veterinary clinic ,they should go to Torantoo hospital if they know-or being told that their dog is critically sick.its been 3 days but they didn’t get out of from the grief of their dog Tiger.also they think instead of putting their dog for 7 hours in clinic they could go to hospital,but they wasn’t aware the situation also they dnt know the only 2 years jerman sherpad tiger would be died soo soon.i am requesting the veterinary staff please be responsible for pets becoz they are not pets for someone they are more than family for someone and believe me losing them is unbearable pain in heart

I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME CUSTOMERS WITH DR.CAMPBELL DATING BACK TO THE LATE 1990'S.DR DERMOT CAMPBELL GOD REST HIS SOUL WAS A PERSONAL FRIEND OF MINE AND A LONG TIME LOVING CARING "GENTLE GIANT" THAT LOVED ANIMALS.EVER SINCE THE NEW VET DR LIZ OSTRANDER TOOK OVER IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AS INDICATED IN A FORMER CLIENT'S COMMENTS. MY BELOVED YELLOW LAB RETRIEVER HAD EXPERIENCED LUMPS ON HER BODY ONLY TO BE TOLD BY DR OSTRANDER THAT IT WAS FATTY LUMPS DUE TO HER BEING 11 YEARS OLD. IT TURNED OUT THAT ONE OF THE LUMPS WAS CANCEROUS STAGE TWO AND VERY DEADLY.DR OSTRANDER WAS TO PERFORM THE SURGERY REMOVAL BUT CHARGED ME FOR A BIOPSY INSTEAD AS THE ISSUE WAS TOO COMPLEX. SHE DID NOT REFER ME TO ANOTHER VET OR SPECIALIST JUST BILLED ME A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF EXPENSE. LUCKY I FOUND A VET THAT PERFORMED THE SURGERY AS SHE WOULD HAVE PASSED MAY 2017. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS VET AS SHE HAS NO COMPASSION FOR PEOPLE OR THEIR BELOVED FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS.IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! NO FOLLOW UP DONE AND NOT EVEN A CONCERN FOR THE WELL BEING OF MY DOG. We recently just moved to Brampton and needed a new vet for Teemo. He's an older dog who needed some dental done. The staff was extremely professional esp. during COVID and made it super easy for us. Dr. Liz is very straight forward and fair with price. The home care package came with instructions and everything needed post surgery. The staff even responded to emails after hours and was super helpful and responsive.I'm very pleased how Teemo's surgery went and he fully recovered the next day! No stitches came loose and no problem afterwards!

My neighbour told me about how Dr Ostrander went above and beyond all expectations when caring for her dog when he is ill, so i switched to them when i need to change to better vets. The staff at Campbell Veterinary Hospital are excellent. My dog just loves Keyanna and Kiera, who greet him with such affection, like he's a beloved old friend, everytime he walks thru the door. They saved my dog's life when he became gravely ill in 2017. Dr O was honest about his chances, never gave me false hope, but still let me know he did have a chance to survive with immediate, aggressive treatment, and he did. All of the procedures and tests they recommended were fully explained and good advice, and i never felt pressured into anything unnecessary or overcharged. They are incredibly accommodating, answer questions fully and simply, and are so understanding. I wholeheartedly recommend them
