We have been making the drive all the way from Ancaster ever since we got our labradoodle puppy Bandit from his very first check up to all his medical needs (vaccinations, neuter surgery and everything in between). Dr. Atul is professional, caring and very compassionate towards all animals and he always takes the time to listen to our concerns. One of the things I am most appreciative of is being able to reach out to him via What’s App to send photos and updates whenever Bandit needs any care before making the drive down to Brampton. We would highly recommend Dr. Atul for anyone looking for a vet to care for your fur baby!

Was a good experience. Was greeted by the door due to covid. Took my little pup for her shots and deworming. Dr. Atul was a little bit confusing as initially said he could not treat for tapeworms as they would need to send out stool to analyze determine the type of tapeworm. After the shots he then said there is a medication that would treat the three types of worms and can start it immediately. Took about 30 min in all.

Nice staff and doctor. I got my dogs updated on shots, 2 adult dog heartworm test, flea/tick meds and 1 poop test of my new pup. Roughly the cost $795 CAD. Other places charge me 500 for 1 dog. I guess this place is affordable with multiple pets. All the tests came back negative with a simple phone call from here.

We visited Dr.Atul based on a reference from a friend with 3 dogs who said wonderful things about him and his pricing. We took our older persian cat and we felt very comfortable with the way he cared and handled him. He helped what could've been a serious problem that other vets would have charged for, did it for free on the spot. Only paid for minimal meds or food. His quote for dental work is excellent and he caps it so that the pricing doesn't end up through the roof. It's just too bad we moved too far now because he is one of a kind in the stereotypical world of the feeling that we get ripped off by vets.

One of the most unprofessional "vets" I've dealt with... I asked this "man" questions regarding my dogs allergy medicines because we had already tried them and didn't work. He felt attacked by my questions and proceeded to give me attitude because he is insecure about his own knowledge... As a professional who works in a hospital I understand how to interact with patients and if any questions come my way I will try to answer them and/or find a way to answer them... But this man has shown he cannot work with people because he's clearly scared of being asked questions... On top of that the same questions we asked him were not consistently answered the same way a few other vets did... He doesn't seem to know much. I would trust other vets... They also cost less than this guy... Also be careful, he may lie about your dog... Make sure you have all paper work as proof of the work he's done... Take care of your dog.

Dr.Atul and his wife are a rare find in veterinary medicine. Their compassion, dedication and devotion to animals is amazing. Our dog was experiencing issues late on a Sunday. Called Dr. Atul because our regular vet was unavailable and tge emergency situation options in Brampton is scary. He left a family function to attend to our dog. Our dog has had x-rays before but no one ever pointed out what was happening pre-maturely to our girl. Dr.Atul did, so we could create a treatment plan to have her live the enjoyable, pain-free life she deserves. Within a week she was back to herself. Thank you :) Our dog is now Dr.Atul's patient and we are so grateful. Ella says thanks. Recently there has been a new receptionist named Cathy , she is so rude and her empathy is non existent when speaking to people. Emily and the other front staff are exceptional and it such a shame for such an amazing clinic to deal with such an unprofessional, unemphathetic , non helpful in tone and approach individual such as Cathy. Emily , Dr.Atul and other staff thank you for always being courteous and empathetic, this one individual in no way reflects on your practice as it remains always excellent.

He has done 2 eye surgeries on my dog and done a very good job. My doggy can see now properly no more eyelashes in his eye. Horrible experience, all about money. This place will do tests that aren't necessary and prescribe medicines that aren't required at huge mark-ups, it's highway robbery. Don't fall for the free firs consultation, you'll pay through the nose for other stuff. Last but not least, you'll notice the Doctor who works there was the first to review this place and give himself 5 stars.. lol.. That's not how it works buddy. Would highly not recommend.

A lot of these "good reviews" are shocking and i doubt the legitimacy. This guy seems to have no passion for animals and just wants to take your money. He says he was going to give us our test results in "1 day" but its been one week. I also dont like his attitude and the fact he tried to scam us out of our free consultation. Wasted my money here and would never recommend anyone bringing their pet here.

I would definitely not recommend Dr. Atul Pakhawala to anyone looking for a vet for their pet. After our 1 year check up for our dog where everything came back normal, our dog started experiencing adverse reactions to one of the medications given to him. Instead of helping with managing this condition (involuntary muscle spasms), Dr. Pakhwala blamed the breed of our dog saying french bulldogs are prone to having seizures and muscle spasms and he was going to lose function in his back legs, along with causing a scare by saying our dog would have to be taken to an orthopedic surgeon etc. We had a follow up consultation with another vet who confirmed there were nothing wrong with his legs and no need to proceed with any talks re: surgery. I have found a new and much more competent vet that was able to assist with caring for our dog. If you are looking for a vet who cares more about money than pet care, and someone who will provide inadequate health care for your pet then he is someone you should go to.

Starting on the phone receptionists are nothing but welcoming and he actually takes the time to explain things to you and cares about your pets! Enzo was blocked and in severe pain. I inquiries in nearby clinics and estimates started from $1500-$2500, through reference i came to this clinic and they offered a medicinal approach. I love this place! All employees are very friendly. My dog needed eye surgery and I had been waiting over 5 months due to covid for my vet to call. My cousin called this place because she used him for years and still does. They did my dogs eye surgery within a couple of weeks. His eyes are much better now. I now see Dr. Atul for all my vet needs he is very kind and knowledgeable. He comes out and meets with you directly no middleman and no extra costs. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a vet it's all family oriented. They can accommodate for appointments very easily and you can always get in right away. My puppy which I get next week will also be seeing Dr Atul. I have or will have 2 American bulldogs. I will definitely be staying with Dr Atul and his office.

After taking our German Shepard Diesel to multiple vets he’s was the only one who successfully diagnosed the cause of his reoccurring ear infections and provided excellent treatment. As owners we completely trust him and we’re so happy he was there for us and Diesel in our time of need. Our son now brings his own puppy Bandit all the way from Ancaster to see Dr.Atul as he is so caring and compassionate and totally worth driving the distance. The vet there broken my dogs jaw during a routine dental work all he said to me was “well ma’am it happens but you don’t have to worry about the bill today” Poor bedside manners. Got a new dog after and wouldn’t even consider him as a new vet. His receptionist - Emily was a delight. She was the best part about this place Please do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. She deteriorated from not be able to eat during her recovery time which took about 3 months and ending up passing away

I would recommend this place to my family and friends the people that work there are great and so nice. I bring my three dogs to him and he is so good to them. He has fixed my one dogs broken leg and did a wonderful job and my old girl he pulled her teeth to make her feel better. I really think my dogs are in good hands with Dr Atul Pakhawala and staff. My son told me about this place 7 years ago and I’m still with them and will keep going till I have no more animals. If anyone is looking for a good vet to go to I would recommend you try him and you will return back to him , that’s how much they make you feel comfortable when you are there with your animals. I got my cousin to go to him and she will never leave him now she wishes she had him sooner we just love this place and Dr Atul and family.

Beware of this place. Please read! Today I went in to have my puppies 2nd round of shots. This is my first visit to this animal hospital. Due to covid virus I wasn’t allowed to enter the building. So because of this the staff had greeted me at the door and took necessary information and then took my puppy inside. They asked me to wait in the car during the procedure and that the Doctor will come out and speak to me once he has done his check up. I arrived and checked in at 12pm by 12:05 the doctor comes out to have a “consultation” with me. Dr. Atul Pakhawala. He then asks me to come inside the building, which I previously was told I can not so was a bit confusing. As I enter he starts to ask how long I’ve had my puppy and refers to my puppy’s gender as “Male” - when in reality she’s a female. So right off the start this was a red flag because If he had actually done his check up he would have known that. He then proceeds to up-sell me on every possible vaccine booster (which are optional) I politely declined. He then tells me that my puppy has given a stool sample. At this point I knew it was complete scam because not only was she inside for less than 5 minutes, I had taken her to the bathroom minutes before going to the clinic. So I know for a fact that it was impossible to provide a stool sample since she was empty. On the spot I called his bluff and said that it’s not possible for her to do that so quick. He then began to stutter and seem nervous. I told him I didn’t want a stool sample and he said okay think about it for next time. He then continued to try to up sell me even after I told him no. I now have doubts whether or not the said vaccines were even given in the first place. He lied about a stool sample He constantly tried to up sell me Didn’t let me in the building until after claiming that the stool sample was given. Didn’t allow me in so I couldn’t see for my self. And was caught red handed in a lie. The rest of the staff seemed to be okay and treated me well. But working with Dr.Pakhwala the scam artist probably isn’t the greatest knowing his tactics. Avoid this place at all costs. Atul I hope you read this.

this vet is not a reliable place to take any of your pets. i’ve been calling everyday to get my pets blood test results and all they keep saying is “we’ll call you back” and they never call you back because i’m still waiting on them. this place is so unprofessional and clearly don’t care about animals cause if they did you’d take your job seriously and take care of these animals with good intentions. i’m so disappointed. i don’t recommend ANYONE going there because your pet won’t be taken care of and they will just take your money.

My dog was attacked by another dog and his ear was ripped open in several places. It was bleeding quite heavily and the poor dog was in a lot of pain! I was panicked. I called to schedule an emergency visit. To my relief, they were immediately helpful and attentive. As you can see from the pictures, his ear looks amazing!!! I am shocked. The skin flapping over was so thin and shredded, I am completely amazed at the outcome. Thank you so very much Dr Atul and Staff for helping us so quickly and safely (during Covid-19) and for these absolutely awesome results! I have been using Dr. Atul and Brampton Georgetown animal hospital for 4+ years now. I have tried almost every vet from Brampton to Rockwood for my fur babies and was not happy until I found Dr. Atul. He and his staff care about the animals more than anything. They form a connection with them. My babies are never afraid to go to the vet. They run in and act like they live there. That’s when you know they are being treated right. I board them there, I take them for their vet care, emergency events (when they are open) dental care, etc. They are the best. I will never go anywhere else.

The most incompetent veternarian I've come across, save your money and take your pet to a clinic that actually cares for the animal and not just money. After giving my dog tick medication that he didn't need to take, my dog had side effects (tremors in his back leg) we took him back and Atul P said it's his breed that's the issue and began to say he'll need surgery, his legs are giving out etc. After telling him it just began to happen after the meds were given to him, he became defensive and refused to listen to what we had to say. We consulted a different veternarian and they assured us our dog is healthy and it's not his breed, it was a side effect of the medication. Not only did he give my pet medication that was not warranted, but he also failed to warn us of any side effects, and when we did go back he tried to scare us with surgery. This guy has no idea what he's doing, stay away from this place. He's just hungry for money, looking for ways to run the bill up.
