Dr Pytka was our vet starting in the mid 1990s. When she disappeared suddenly from MacLeod Trail Animal Hospital we were heartbroken. But we have found her again and switched to her immediately. I took one of our dogs in yesterday and he was so happy to see her. Best vet ever!

As usual Dr. Joanna Pytka did not disappoint me. She used to take care of my previous dog for many years and even though I moved away, I decided to take my new dog to her clinic for a small procedure while visiting Calgary. She is the only vet I trust and don't even need to ask for a quote as I know she will be fair and won't try to take advantage.

Dr. Joanna is the most amazingly competent Vet ever- has been taking care of my cats for 15 years. She truly loves animals that coupled with her great knowledge, spot on smart diagnostics, and quickly administered treatments is nothing short of brilliance. I've had a few experiences with other Vets when I had been too far from Joanna's clinic and every time it was a ridiculously bad experience, with wrong diagnosis that made no sense and a horrendous charges for that service regardless. So grateful to have her!

My pup had a belly issue and my regular vet was booking two weeks out so we came here. Dr. Joanna was thorough and very patient with my super anxious chihuahua. She didn’t rush through the exam, she carefully did a full check up and took the time to explain everything to me. Pricing was fair and she didn’t suggest anything unnecessary. If you are looking for a vet in the south you won’t be disappointed with this clinic !

Best vet I’ve used over years of loving animals. Dr Pytka and her staff are so thorough, pragmatic and reasonable. I walk out of there paying less than I would at my previous vet and I know if she’s recommended medication or a procedure, that it’s the best thing for the animal, not for her bottom line. Thanks so much for opening up your clinic in my neighborhood, but I’d still drive to the other side of the city if need be to have you take care of my animals.

What a great new place! Clean, bright, and very well managed during Covid! Dr. O'Brian was very responsive and gentle to my big dog Mira, who was pretty nervous. She was quick to tune into my mannerisms with her and mimick, which too many vets these days don't take the time to do. She worked well as a team with me in my dog's health and would be a great asset to any pet family. Price is very right and they have a great selection of dog and cat food for any ailment, issue, or just a happy healthy pet and will do their best to order in if you have a special request. I will definitely be recommending my clients and friends to this little hidden gem of a clinic.

Fantastic Little Vet ! We recently adopted a rescue pittbull and needed a vet close to home so we decided to try out Lake Bonavista's Animal Clinic. They were so friendly and kind to us! We came in for our dogs shots and check up. The vet sat down on the floor and gave our girl cuddles. Asked a ton of questions, and our dog loved her! Even the front desk staff gave her a treat. My dog was never scared to be in the building and thats what I was striving for. Also, their not selling you anything which is a plus because some vets will sit there and try and sell you on different foods or other insurances, etc. Highly recommend this Vet!

Fantastic experience with the clinic. Dr. Erin was super patient with my nervous pup and waited until he felt safe (treats didn't hurt either). We came in for his annual check up and he didn't even flinch for his shots. Clinic is clean and the staff are friendly, and I was able to book an appointment quickly.

This is new clinic or under new management/ownership of Dr. O'Brien and Dr. Pytka. We have been Dr. Pytka patients (our dogs) when she was at Macleod Clinic. She is such a caring veterinarian who look after her patients best interest and provides excellent care. We were so happy to hear that she has teamed with another great vet Dr. Erin O'Brien and opened this clinic just few days ago. The place is very nice and they do take new patients. On Thursday, October 8, 2020, I had occasion to take my kitty (in almost an emergency situation) to Lake Bonavista Animal Clinic and we saw Dr. O'Brien. She spent the better part of an hour with us, making sure that both kitty and myself were taken care of. She is kind, gentle and very thorough. We came away with a diagnosis, treatment and a great sense of caring on Dr. O'Brien's part. I would recommend this clinic to anyone seeking caring and knowledgeable veterinarians for their furry babies.
