THIS VET DESERVES 10 STARS YOU SAVE MONEY AT THIS VET! one of the best vets to go to *PRICE WISE* i searched all over city of montreal trying to find a vet willing to do a simple tooth extraction. every place i went to seemed to not give me any hope. between 1000 -3000$. thats insane! my cat lost weight and then vets started refusing him because he was too skinny and he was at risk of dying. i lost all hope then finally this vet saved my cats life. my cat is older and is fiv positive. he already was weak due to his infection. this vet did 3 extractions and cleaning for a whopping 330$ TAX IN! this place SAVES lives. other vets in the city are trying to shut them down because they are the only vet hospital that care! x-rays and shots shouldn't rack you up a bill 500$! over here its max 200$!!! i know right? this place deserves 10 stars. the wait isn't long. i live in MONTREAL EAST and i drive 50 min to get to this vet because they are that good. GO HERE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! they deserve a lot more credit. the best part about it all your animal gets the treatment and you end up saving money!

I will give two stars for the prices. That's the only reason that brought me there. We had to wait more than 5 hours for the vaccines of my two dogs and cat. Since we were almost the last one and it was already 20h00, the check-up was done so fast and it seem like the veterinarian didn't even care at all. We had to ask him to weight my pets and he barely answered our questions. They keep taking clients despite the poor quality of service. Making humans wait for 5 hours it's one thing but not animals....they are not compassionate at all!

I had an emergency for 1 dog and went to closest vet(not taschereau) they gave me meds.and a 4 figure price for further treatment. I was freaking out !!! I went to taschereau with both dogs and 4 figure estimate. They addressed the previous vets recommendation and double checked everything properly and yes the 1st vet was right to a point.I Left taschereau with both dogs checked and vaccinated to the max with a 3 figure bill for both. Stay away from this place. Back in the day their prices were fair, and professionalism was highest quality, now not so much. Went in there with my older cat on her last leg, had already called to confirm price to have her euthanized, as she was suffering greatly. Asked to have her put down, not to see a doctor. Waited 2 hours for them to call us, go into a room and then doctor comes in. We explain that we would like to have her put down, as she’s obviously suffering greatly and withering away @ 4-5 lbs, down from 12-13. Long story short he says what we already knew, that her stomach region felt hard and possibly there was an abnormal growth around kidneys. Says we could do an X-ray and maybe we could save her. We go for the X-ray, even though there was a slim chance, and two minutes later he comes back and says what he already said prior, that there’s abnormal growth. We reiterate that okay, well then we should put her down and put of her misery. We sign the small form to approve euthanasia, and I go to pay beforehand, and see they billed us to see the doctor initially (45$), which they should not have, because we were told if you come in and say you want to put your cat down it’s 117$ all in. We drove all the way from North Laval to the south shore to save money, and basically paid what we would’ve paid right next door. We got sucked in for an X-ray only to be told nothing different than we already knew and was confirmed by doctor before radiology. Not professional in our opinion. Instead of walking out paying 117, we paid 227. The X-ray was optional, yes. We made that decision, but to have him give us no new information after the fact is bs. And then to be charged for consultation when we didn’t ask for it took the cake. If I could leave a zero star I would.

If i could give 0 stars I would ... my dog died because of them .. let me explain : my dog seem sick so I went to see them because I’ve been going there since he was a puppy and it was affordable . They did scans and blood test they said nothing seems wrong with him as long as he keeps eating everything is okay but she insisted for me to pay 500 dollars to see if he had cancer or we could use some medication for his appetite ... a short time passes( 2weeks) by and the dog keeps eating but somehow he seems worst and worst by the minutes ... I call them back to see if we could reschedule for and appointment they tell me to go and wait because they can’t find my file , and they say once again nothings wrong with him .. and re insisted that we put him on medication for the appetite or the cancer thing ... me thinking what is the best option for him , I decide to take him somewhere else .. where I discovered that he had 5 or more health problems not related to cancer or appetite disorder .. ( heart disease , liver disease , kidney problems , intestinal problems etc ) and the new vet tells me that it’s to late to save him and if the other vets would done there job properly you and your dog wouldn’t be suffering .. ... and he died shortly after ....

This is one of the best veterinary care clinics. They actually give care to your animal and don't try to sell you anything you don't need. The prices are actually the real prices for veterinary care so you will not be getting thousands of dollars worth of bills from this place. The only thing to note is that it's usually very crowded so there will most likely be a big wait time to be expected if you're a walk in. I've had two dogs operated here and countless vaccinations and checkups of cats/kittens. 100% recommend.

I brought my cat, Bella, there when he was suddenly dying. He was obviously suffering, breathing heavy, lethargic, not eating, not really responsive, etc. I didn't have alot of money at the time, so we took the bus and metro there. When we got there, they asked us to take a number and sit down. I did, but after 30 minutes of watching my cat die, I got up and told them he needed to be seen immediately. They told me I had to go sit down and wait my turn. I screamed at them "my cat is dying, he's suffering, he can't wait!!!". Finally, they agreed to have him "analyzed" immediately to see if he could have priority over the other people waiting in line for non-urgent things like vaccinations, micro-chippings, etc. They analyzed him and told me his urethra and kidneys were blocked. I could either pay $3000 and it had a 50% chance of coming back within 1-12 months, or I could euthanize him. I called my mom and begged her to borrow money, but she said no for something with such bad odds. I told them I'd like to euthanize him, and they essentially told me that it was my fault that he was dying and that male cats need wet food I'm their diet and not just dry, insinuating that I killed my cat by only feeding him dry food. Do NOT bring your pet here. They don't care about people or animals.

If it's your first time, register your pet before waiting in line forever. Once registered, you can be called to go in when they're ready. I registered after waiting an hour (oups) and then was told it would be 3 hours. So I went home, got a call and then showed up. Was seen almost immediately upon arrival ???? Doctor was a kind old guy who checked my pet thoroughly and kindly. Very efficient and methodical, my kind of guy! For basic shots (no appointment needed, but wait can be 2-3hrs) cost was 62$ for cats My total came up to 87$ for worms and outdoor shot. For sterilization 115$, needs shots first tho. Will recommend to everyone.

Worth the wait. Got there at 9 and saw a vet by 11. My cat had bleeding gums and tartar so I expected I would be told she needed a cleaning during the consultation. But the vet was pretty honest and said that I could just scrape the tartar off with my fingernails and she showed me how to do it. I had expected to spend hundreds of dollars for a cleaning but instead just had to pay the 45$ consultation fee. And now my cat is tartar free :)

Il a fait un vacin de base sans me dire qu'il fallait un suive en dedans de 30 jours même chose avec la secrétaire. Quand j'ai rappelé pour son deuxième vaccin on m'a dit que j'étais en retard et qu'il fallait que je recommence a zero et quand j'ai mentionné que cette information ne m'a jamais été dite, on m'a dit que c'était de ma faute et que j'aurai dû lire le document fourni dans le carnet médical dont je n'avais pas connaissance. Puis quand je suis allée chez un autre vétérinaire par la suite du au fait que mon chaton était rendu avec des galles au oreilles, ceux ci mon dit qu'il avait effectivement des Mitte depuis un moment, ce qui veut dire que la personne n'avait pas fait correctement son évaluation et que mon chaton avait des Mitte lors de son premier rendez-vous ce qui m'a coûté plus a faire traiter du a ces Galles. En cause de ça je ne veux plus faire affaire avec cette endroit!.

Cheap prices, the level of care your animal gets depends on who’s working that day. Brought my cat here to be neutered because of the low prices. They glued the incision shut which seemed uncomfortable for my cat because it got stuck in his fur around the incision. I was told that medication post surgery was unnecessary. I should’ve pressured them to give me something, because his incision became infected a couple weeks later. I went back a second time to treat his infection and ear mites. The treatment was effective. The first vet (student I think?) I saw that day was lovely and very sweet. The second vet I saw was also nice, but confused as to why they glued my cats neuter incision instead of doing stitches. I am not going back due to my most recent experience there with an older receptionist (The younger staff are very sweet and I’ve never had an issue with them). Because of covid we had to wait outside, this is normal in 2020. However, it was very hot outside that day and there was no shade. I can deal with the heat and sun, but the poor animals were clearly stressed and suffering. I asked to leave my cat inside the waiting room in his carrier, however the receptionist denied my request very rudely and yelled at me to take my cat outside. A kind lady there tried to help me plead my case in French, but the receptionist just yelled at her too. The lady offered to let me keep my cat in their air conditioned car until my ticket number came up. After dealing with that, the vet who saw me (older man) gave me about 2 minutes of his time and acted like he didn’t wanna be there. I only had to pay for my cats medication and test results(no appointment fee), but I honestly would’ve rather spent extra money and not had my cat endure that stress.

Someone I know brought their cat there to be sterilized. A few days later, the poor animal passed away. While inserting the breathing tube into the animal's throat prior to the surgery, the veterinarian accidentally perforated the trachea. The poor cat ended up dying after several days of horrible suffering. While mistakes can and do happen, for an operation this common, this kind of blunder shouldn't have to be expected from experienced professionals. But it seems like tragedies like this one aren't uncommon in this establishment. Maybe it's time to get this place formally inspected by officials. And until it is, I'd like to suggest animal owners to stay well away from this clinic.

They provide you with excellent service at an amazing and affordable price. They are great at what they do and care for your pets. Although it may be a little far away for those eho don't live in the Taschereau area, I can promise you that the distance is 100% worth it for the service and the affordability. I recommend this place if you have a pet that is in need of medical care but don't necessarily have the funds to help him. I was long looking for the right vet or vet. hospital to bring my 7 month old chihuahua to get operated. In the past for his shots he would freak out and bite the assistants, pee on the examination table, released his bowels and went absolutely hay wire so I was nervous to get him fixed. My vet in Laval was charging 209 + tax for the operation. This hospital however charges 140$ tax in. I only called and realized they were booked fully for a month straight. Figuring they were good since they were busy I booked an apt after reading some positive reviews. I brought my puppy there and thank god I had not researched the location on Google Street View because when I parked outside I was asking myself do I really want to go in there? the locale was small, barricaded with a yellow sign with black font dating back from god knows when with many spider webs hanging down. I got anxious and then told myself I drove all this way and read good reviews. The secretary was very amical and sociable. She spoke very nicely to me and my dog. She quickly made me a file and took my dog in to the back where they keep all the animals for surgery. I left quickly to not upset him and make the situation worse. They advised me that I can call back after 5pm to come pick him up. Driving back home I thought I made the wrong decision bringing him there so I quickly called finding an excuse I thought I could ask if he was given water since he was dehydrated in the morning. Frantically calling back the secretary quickly pulled up my file and gave me a COMPLETE update. She told me my dog reacted very well, he was already operated and a technician was taking care of him in the back. I was finally AT EASE with her comforting response and I was amazed at how fast it was over with. I was able to go on with my day! After 5pm I went back. the place was PACKED! We had to take a number and wait our turn. I waited and spoke to the same lady once more, she was smiley despite the business of the operation. I got to see the vets on shift and they were professional. They gave me directives and seemed like they understood what me and my pooch were going through. I was happy this place made surgery their main thing. My dog was only acting odd in the car, depressed with his ears down. However, when we got home, up to now (days later) he is A1 ! They even lent me a cone for 20$ and when I'm done all I have to do is bring it back with my bill and they will reimburse me. Very thoughtful. :) All in all...I recommend this place! It is also the cheapest! Go for it and do not judge this book by it's cover! Believe me I research and read reviews and this is why I believe in people's word and opinions. Like I previously mentioned ... all I forgot to do was look at a picture of the place! And if I did I'm positive I would have given more money based on appearances! I think that there are a lot of other money-mongering vets on here who do not like Dr.Allen because he presents an affordable alternative to their money gouging of loving pet owners. Ignore them! Vets have priced their services so high now that they are doing a disservice to animals in general. I have loved my cat and taken better care of him than many people do their children. I will never have another animal though as I simply cannot afford it. The amounts of money that have been taken from me by vets is outrageous. They have raided my RRSPs and at times charged me more for a visit than I pay in rent when there was nothing wrong with my Poomeister at all. All the while acting like it is never enough. Recently a vet in Westmount caused my cat to have CKD by giving him an injection of Metacam followed by a 7 day prescription of oral Metacam. It says on the package not to administer oral dose for more than 2 days after an injection. The US has a Black Box warning not to give any oral dose at all after an injection. When he got sick they gouged me to treat him for kidney failure and all the while acting like I was not doing enough. Of course I only realised this after the fact. Didn't I have the right to depend on their knowledge? They claim to be doctors don't they and they sure have that Aristotelian arrogance that doctors generally have. These same scoundrels who ripped me off and put my best friend at death's door for their money mongering ways bad mouthed Dr.Allen to me when I took my files from them. The bloody nerve! Dr. Allen is helping me keep my best friend alive without putting me into bankruptcy. I think that any idiot can tell that the "Google users" from four years ago are the exact same person. They all seem to have the exact same diction and grammar and intersperse words in capital letters.

I have been going to Taschereau for a period of over 30 years and I have NEVER had a problem with the vets there. Since that time, there have been a few veterinarians who have been hired and I have not had a problem with them either. I am a healthcare provider and know a lot about people and animals (health wise). I had a rescue home with 21 cats that were cared for at this clinic and ALL turned out just great and healthy. Yes you may have to wait long periods of time as it is a walk-in clinic and it is based on a first come, first serve basis unless you have a dying animal, which was my case once. We were taken in immediately, treated with respect. They gave the dog (who was 17 years old) a tranquilizer instead of putting him out, because it was a matter of minutes that our dog died in our arms. We were taken in the back room and given our privacy to grieve the dog's passing. Now if most would take notice, there IS a number wheel on the wall and everyone is to take a number. As for the secretaries, I know some of them since the first day they have worked there and have ALWAYS been polite with me, considering they are over worked. Prices are excellent and GST/QST is ALREADY included in your price. Now where can you get such a deal?? NOWHERE!!!! I live in Montreal and always go there. I will be taking in another cat ASAP to have it sterilized. $150.00 tax included for needles, checkup and operation, compared to $300-$350. Can you beat that? Probably not. I have sent many a customer to Taschereau and they LOVE it.

Exceptional service. We traveled from upstate NY to Taschereau hospital on recommendation from our breeder (bulldog). Having had many bulldogs over the years, I was well aware of how difficult surgery can be. Our dog had to have her tail amputated, as it was a corkscrew, causing her a great deal of agony. Our vet suggested we go to VT or downstate. The VT referral declined working on our bulldog. We drove an hour north, despite being put off by some bad reviews on Google review. We were surprised to find a clean waiting room, a kind and pleasant receptionist, and clean quarters for our dog. We were told to call late evening to see how surgery went and we did. Her surgery was successful. We picked her up the next day, and she looks great. The hospital is busy, when we picked her up - it was packed. But staff were courteous and efficient. I will recommend this hospital to all of my dog owning friends as the place to go for specialized surgery. It is a relief to know there is a knowledgeable bulldog surgeon not far away. Great team work at Hopital Veterinaire Taschereau.!!!

It's true that this place is way cheaper than other veterinaries but the quality of service lacks by a lot. Like others say, go there for the basic shots on a healthy pet only. The doctor there doesn't like dogs. He barely touched my dog for the check up, did that in less than 2 minutes. I can understand that they are very busy, but at least take the time to do the right stuff. My dog got scared of him when he gave the shots, so he moved and the needle came out. Some of the content splashed on me, the vet didn't do anything about it, just asked me to hold my dog's head tightly and give the rest of the shot. I had my dog sterilized there too. When he came back, he started to fear strangers and even wants to attack them. I don't know how they handled him at the vet, but it mustn't been a good experience to him.

I brought my cat to get a microchip. They inserted it over his rear shoulder blade instead of the middle of his back. They also did not insert it correctly causing about 3/4 of it to exit his skin and stick out. This is in no way how it should be done. When I called them the vet and asked if it was normal he simply answered "c'est à vérifier" meaning it is to be verified. No support whatsoever. I would have had to pay for an other visit get it checked out for an error they made. When I brought my cat to a different vet she could not believe her eyes and had to take a moment stop shaking because of the frustration of seeing such a simple operation done wrong. I would NOT recommend. Read the negative reviews, I was lucky, my animal survived. Also. They said the castration would cost 72$ but charged me 149$ and when I called to pick up my cat they tried to charge me an extra 60$ for an additional night because I could not pick him up when he was ready a day earlier than the date I was supposed to pick him up. Shady business. I beleive they intentionally screw up the operations so you spend more money going back. Do NOT give them your money. Pay the extra cash to get your animals fixed at a proper place. I went to Clinique Vétérinaire Sur 4 Pattes and the service was excellent. Give them your money instead

Worst vet. It's cheap but not worth it. My cats nails were cut when I didn't ask for it. And they were cut awfully !!! She had multiple bleeding nails!!! What kind of place cuts nails without asking, especially for a surgery under anaesthesia?? The receptionists are REALLY rude. The waiting time is insane, even when you have an appointment they ask you to wait!! They didn't give me enough meds for my cat when she had conjunctivitis so I had to go there again to get more. And when my cat got her cyst removed they didn't even tell us when to remove the bandage!! They are so unorganized and rude staff. Bonus point: the vet AND receptionist were not even wearing masks in the middle of a pandemic!! With MANDATORY masks !! What the hell is wrong with this clinic seriously. You guys need to get your things together.

Waited 2&1/2 hours in the cold, waited another 45 minutes in the waiting room and then waited another hour in the examination room just for the veterinarian to spend two minutes giving my kitten his first shot, a dewormer on his neck and two cans of food for his stomach as I told the veterinarian he was suffering from diarrhea. He did not examine my kitten at all and didn’t seem to care to know anything about my kitten or his eating habits. Just told me I must be feeding him too much and he couldn’t wait to take my $80 payment and send me on my way. Asked him when should my kitten get his next shot, his response was we will call you. Still waiting for that call by the way. I went to a real veterinarian who examined my kitten and ran some tests to find out he has some rare type of worm infection and he was treated with antibiotics plus he received his second shot. I will never go back to this place again no matter how cheap their prices are. I ended up paying way too much for very little service. Not worth my time, my money and most importantly my kitten’s health.

This place ruined my dogs life. This past March, my 11 year old dog was expieriencs great pain in his mouth because his teeth were rotting and his gums were infected. Quickly, we brought him to his regular vet who unfortunately gave us the news that we would have to remove all of his teeth and estimated that the surgery would cost us $1800, money we don't have. A friend recommended this clinic since they are known for affordable prices. The vet (who is also the owner of this place) barely looked at my dog and quickly scheduled him for a surgery the week after. They ended up only removing 5 teeth (the front bottom ones), which were noticeably rotten and of course it costed us peanuts. We found this strange since our vet said all of his teeth needed to be removed asap. My dog was never the same since.... We returned back twice in hopes to find out why my dog did not recover from his surgery. The same vet/owner said he was fine and he was still in the recovering stage and that this was all normal. He also looked at my dogs teeth and said they looks amazing. I mentioned to the vet that he wasn't eating and having a really hard time swallowing, without checking my dog, he prescribed him cortisone pills. A month later, my dog was skin and bones and still has not recovered. We brought him back to the first vet who was in complete shock when she saw my dog. The vet proceeded to tell us that we have made a really big mistake. The 5 teeth that they removed, were the easiest and most obvious but then showed us what was really going on in my dogs mouth. His back teeth are more than infected yet still in his mouth. At the age of 11, and with his current health conditions, my dog cannot undergo another surgery because he won't wake up. He is in tremendous pain still and may be developing an infection in his liver, in fact we are doing a ultrasound tomorrow (because of all of the pain meds he has been on). It absolutely breaks my heart because before this, he was a healthy dog, with many more years ahead of him. My family now struggles with the decision of putting him down because he no longer has a quality of life. I sit here in tears writing this review for my dog. Please be aware of this place.

I have been going to this vet clinic for over 10 years and they truly care about the well being of the animals. They are a low cost vet which makes it accessible to every pet owner. Surgeries are at a low cost and so is overnight care. This is a walk in clinic, no appointment required, but get there very early (6:30 am) to get a number to see the vet. Wait times can be very long, but worth it considering the quality of care and price. Today, I had to rush my dog there and I got there around 6:40am, It was freezing outside. Due to Covid you have to wait outside until you receive a number. Even though they were not open yet, the front desk manager let me in and gave my a number right away. Great service and a testament to their commitment to animals and their owners.

Very long waiting times 3 hours + at times. Very poor customer service and Dr Allen never smiles and is very rude and rushes you out as quickly as possible. When you go to get a prescription renewal they make you take a number and you have to wait while they check in people for consultations. Nonsense and waste of time. Oh and the place is dirty.

They took such good care of my cat! He had to spend 6 days and 5 nights there. They let me come daily to visit him and give him little treats. While in the backroom with my cat, the technicians were friendly and opened to answer my questions about my cat. The vet would call me daily to give me more in depth information about the condition. The size of the cage they had my cat is very large, good size! When it was time to being him home, the vet showed my tricks and gave me tips on how to ease my cat into taking the pills prescribed to him (for 10 days). Very friendly and very bilingual.

1. They only do appointments for surgeries, for anything else you have do to walk in. While a walk in vet helps in when you need to have your pet seen quickly, there system for managing clients is terrible. Expect to stand in line, outside for 2 hours or more just to have your name and number taken, and then you are sent to wait in your car for another 2 hours before they call you to have your pet seen. 2. The nurses and front desk are nice, however the doctor comes off as rude and seems to be one of those, "get in, pay me, get out" type of doctors, who isn't interested in answering your questions or hearing your concerns. 3. Once actually inside after 4 hours of waiting, the actual process of having my puppy vaccinated was relatively quick, the longest part was waiting for the doctor after the nurse had done her diagnostic. The doctor definitely has experience and can do his job effectively however, he is a older man and seems to not keep up with newer research developments in his field. As an example, he wasn't aware of what titers are and is part of the over 60% of vets who recommend the overvaccination of pets. All in all, the facility was average, the support staff was average and a nice as should be expected. The doctor was rude but experienced. The wait times and procedures for managing customes was terrible. Completely terrible.

My daughter has a Mira dog that we brought to Taschereau veterinarian a couple of weeks ago. He is 9 years old and has a mass on his left side of his neck. So we decided to get him checked out because we knew that it was a walk in clinic. We arrived at 9:45 am gave my name and waited in the car til 1:20 pm. We were called in by Dr. Allen and went to room #1,the room was very small and the table was very dirty, full of cat and dog hair.Dr.Allen then asked us to go weigh Packwood in the examining room across the hall where there were 3 people working on a dog. With covid contamination on the rise this was a very bad situation. No social distancing in the examination rooms. Dr. Allen then asked me to pick up Packwood who weighs 66 lbs. and put him on the table. No help from Dr.Allen whatsoever. He quickly checked Packwood and told us he has a mass on his left side of the neck. Asked for a blood test to his technician. The exam took him about 3 minutes ! The secretary gave me the bill ,I paid then asked the secretary when the results would be in. She was very rude with her answer and told me "sometime tomorrow ". I called the following day for the test results and the secretary told me that Dr. Allen was going to call me back. He called me back telling me that Packwood has a cancerous tumor on his left neck artery. I asked him to email me the results so that I can bring them to surgeon. He took my email and told me he would email during the same day. I waited and waited no email with the blood results. Anyways all this to say that Dr. Allen was just terrible and seemed like a miserable f*^". In my opinion the way he handled our case he should retire ASAP !!!!

Out of money after going to a fancy expensive vet where my cat was promptly misdiagnosed with not eating because of an ear infection rather than an abscess she found in her mouth and given one type of useless antibiotics over 20 days then 1 pain killer, plus some medicated liquid Drops Nothing was working she wasn’t eating and she developed a large lump. By this time she had lost so much weight and she was in desperate need of help and I was out of money knowing how much vets costed even just to be seen I took my girl to to see dr. Allen in greenfield park on referral of a friend who advised he was a very good vet and had very fair prices but he worked on a no appt basis for consultations and I would have to wait in line and be there before 7:00 am So yes I went. The clinic looked nothing like the fancy one’s I had visited Yes I waited from 6:00 am when I arrived to 10:00 am till I saw dr. Richard Allen he is very dedicated, professional and kind. He had many years experience that I knew I could rely on. The receptionist was absolutely wonderful and was so incredibly kind and understanding The assistants could not be more compassionate and sincere. My only wish is I had gone to see them first Maybe I’d still have my little girl but it was too late.

Ladies at front desk are super kind. My dog was very anxious around other animals and they offered to have us in a separate room to make it easier for us while waiting. We still prefered waiting outside otherwise my dog would bark like crazy. Appointment went well. Dr. Allan took the time to answer my questions and ask about how Charlie was adapting to her new family (we have had her for 3 weeks), food she was eating etc. I can't complain.

We were very happy with the services and care we received for our cat. She needed surgery for a condition that was urgent. We were given estimates at clinics in Ottawa that were in the $5,000-$6,000 range! It was performed here for $250! My cat is doing well. If you are looking for a fancy place with lots of bells and whistles then you should go to the clinics that charge you $$$$ because that is what you pay for there. Your animal won't get better care, you will just pay for the facility and pay for someone to make YOU feel better. This clinic is a no frills place but that is okay by me because they care about animals and are offering affordable veterinary care. You may feel like you are a little rushed but that is because they are very busy but they give you all the information you need. It was a 2 hour drive for us to come here and I would do it again. Thank you for offering such good and affordable services.

Most traumatic experience ever. My cat was dying, and luckily the technician there on the 26th of January took me in fast. But whoever the vet was, an old man, was the coldest, SOB. He told me that my cat had cancer which i understood, and said to euthanize was 100$. I literally was balling my eyes out while I was handing him money! Thank god the technician was there to do the euthanasia, she is the reason I'm not giving 1 star. She was sweet and empathetic. The veterinarian pushes the door open, and kicks my transporter out of his way moments before I was euthanizing my cat. I could've have socked him in the face right then and there! I am even forced to give a star to write my review! Here are my 2 cents, for almost 20 years we've been bringing our dogs here. Every year around spring I'll come done and pick up heart worm pills and also Advantage plus for fleas! Now today when I called they are telling me that the new owner put a new law in effect! That you are forced to pay visitation fees get a prescription for these items. Seriously, making extra money on something that is there in the file year after year. My next step will be going and look fir another Vet!

(Original) Nous sommes allés à cette clinique 2 fois avec notre chat car il vomissait beaucoup, avait perdu du poids et perdait parfois conscience. Ils ont passé des tests et nous ont dit qu'elle n'avait rien du tout! Nous avons voulu un deuxième avis et avons donc fait transféré les résultats chez un autre vet. Avec le scan et de nouveaux tests, ils ont découvert que notre chat avait un souffle au coeur, une infection urinaire et de l'anémie... Nous la traitons actuellement avec le nouveau vétérinaire mais si seulement le premier vétérinaire avait fait sa job adéquatement, nous aurions pu commencer à la traiter plus tôt... Si vous aimez votre animal de compagnie, n'allez pas à la clinique vétérinaire Taschereau...
