Chris was very good with my cat, Jinx, when she was sick last year. He was very attentive and helpful, and had me and my cat into his office very quickly so she could get the treatment she needed. They refuse to take on new clients even in emergency situations. My elderly cat twisted her ankle and they didn't even give me anything I could do to help her from home. On the phone they just kept saying they haven't accepted new clients in 5 years. It doesn't come across like they actually care.

I just have to say how truly remarkable everyone at Moira Vet Clinic are. Your level of care and compassion is refreshing. I had to bring my Sebastian (cat) in on Monday Sept. 28/15 to have him put down. I appreciate the honesty and sincere way Dr. Gordon helped me make my decision. I found Moira Vet completely by accident as I'd been going to a different Vet for years, but began to just feel like a number. I was missing the personal care, the feeling that my pets lives mattered. Moira is wonderful at getting me in when I feel there is an emergency and I appreciate that. When I met Dr. Chris, I was completely and immediately certain that this would be where the care of my 9 pets was going to be. Yes they give a multi pet discount which is appreciated, but they truly care about animals. Holding my baby on Monday while the final injection that would stop his heart was such a difficult task, but Gordon reverently assured me that I was doing the right thing and gave me the peace I needed to see my precious boy head over rainbow bridge. I cried and M at the front desk was the sweetest and most understanding person. I could go on and on with praise, but please just let me say, "thank you" for all you do. Normally I would sing the praises of Chris and the staff at Moira vet. However, I was extremely disappointed the last time I was there. My pregnant dog was due on a Wednesday. She started to leak an odoured discharge late Sunday night. First thing Monday morning I called the vet to have her checked. I couldn't go in with her because of covid, but was called by Chris. He said she seemed fine. She wasn't dilated and in the xray the pups were not in line to come out yet. I asked about a C section or oxytocin and he kind of brushed both ideas off and said that theoretically she should go into labour that night, and we shouldn't rush it. Well she did go into labour that night and gave birth to 4 stillborn puppies. Had they given her the c section or the oxytocin they may have survived. He examined her and xrayed her, so why didn't he check for signs of life in the pups? If they were stillborn then they should have been removed. My poor girl was so upset looking for her babies. This obviously isn't a complete fault of the vet, but I've bred dogs for over 17 years, and this has never happened before. The morning I brought her to the vets I could feel the pups moving. I should have forced the issue of oxytocin or a c section. But I was told all was good and paid the over $200 bill. Chris is a good vet for the little things such as shots and a regular check up, but my faith in him has failed. I'm a certified pet nutritionist, I have bred dogs for years, I have my pet first aid and my vet assistant course done, I take very good care of my pets and treat them like family. My heart is broken for my dog Panda, the families hoping for pups are all heart broken. This should not have happened. I'll be taking this matter further as this should never happen again.

In a dire need I need to find a new vet as the one I had my animal would not do anything with out money. My cat had pyometra which is an infection in the uterus. The vet I had her at put her on fluids for the night so I had a chance to try and come up with $1200 after already paying $180. We couldn't pay for the surgery as we didn't get payed for another 2 days and they took the last $180 we had. The next day we had decided that we couldn't get the money and would have to take the chance of bringing her home. The vet wanted to put her down for free or lowered the price to $950. My spouse called me crying saying he couldn't do it. So I got on the phone once again and found Moira, they couldn't get her in for 4 days but that is the chance we had to take. She ran around all weekend like nothing was wrong so I started to worry less. She has had her surgery now and is home and I can't thank Moira vet. enough and it was a 1/4 of the cost. The staff are super friendly and I will be transferring all my pets here!

Horrible experience at this vet clinic and one of the worst decisions I ever made was to leave my regular vet clinic and come to this place because it was so cheap. In this case I got what I paid for. 2 botched surgeries and a dead dog. Dr. Chris Tummon caused my dog a lot of pain and suffering and neglected to do do proper tests before he performed 'surgery' (I use the term loosely because it was mostly a butcher job). After the second surgery I returned to my regular vet where they actually seem to be competent and spent a lot of money trying to fix the mess but sadly there was nothing they could do. I have since talked to 2 staff members that worked at Moira vet clinic and they said that they would take their own pets elsewhere for surgery even though they had a discount from 'Dr. Chris' If some of the staff didn't trust the Dr. that tells you a lot, the public doesn't get to see what happens behind closed doors.

I got my cat Mercury from the humane society. The same day I picked him up, he had gotten dental work and had 6 teeth pulled. My cat was not sent home with antibiotics or pain medication. Do not recommend such horrible practice. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Moira Street Vet Clinic is a pet owner's dream. Dr. Tummon and the entire team are all there to help you and your pets receive the best care possible. They are so responsive to questions and have the most fair prices you could ask for. It is clear that the animals are number one here and I am so glad my two cats have Dr. Tummon and the team at Moira Vet Clinic caring for their health!

The humane society made me have my dog spayed here, would not allow me to use my regular vet. The dog went home with NO!!!!! pain killers and she was whining and uncomfortable until we got her pain meds at my regular vet. The incision became horribly infected and 2 weeks after the surgery sutures were coming out of the incision. There was a burn on her side from some heating pad used in surgery. It was a horrible mess. You get what you pay for, cheap is cheap for a reason! I would never use this vet. I am certain this was Moira veterinary clinic, my name is not in your records because the humane society brought the dog there to be spayed when I adopted her, I had no choice. I picked her up a day after her surgery. I confirmed this with the humane society. She did NOT have pain killers dispensed from you. I have a receipt from my regular veterinarina for pain killers. I don't care if you used a heating pad or a hot water bag, my dog had a burn.

Amazing vet clinic. One of the few vets who care more for the animals than for the money. I have never had to wait long to be seen and the staff are very friendly. Words can not express how great full I am to have found these guys. Had to have surgery done on my cat a couple years ago at a different vet for $850. Had to have the same surgery done recently by Moira Vet for $330. If one of my animals is unexpectedly sick, they will make time to see them that day, even with their busy schedule. No pet gets pushed aside. And he will not give any unecessary meds to make extra money like most clinics do. I've had 2 surgeries done on my pets by Dr. Chris and both times they came home with absolutely no discomfort and healed very quickly. The incision from my dogs spay was hardly noticeable. If I didn't have to pay for the surgeries I wouldn't even know they happened. The Dr. And the staff are very knowledgeable and give you their undivided attention when you have any questions or concerns. My babies show absolutely no fear or worry when we go visit.

Chris is absolutely an amazing vet. Its hard to find vets who care about your animals and not about how much money they can get from you. He has seen one of my cats in an emergency situation and was very quick to meet me at the clinic on the weekend. Even his emergency fees were good.

Chris is amazing! Honestly best vet ive ever come across. Does not judge for feeding raw food either which is hard to come by in this area. He is kind and gentle with my pets. And for my male dog to like someone is rare. So that was a good indication I should stick with him. They actually lose their minds on th3 way to the vet over going to a park or beach!!!! Even treats!! What is that?! Amazing is what. Love moira so much!

Past experiences with other veterinarians have left me feeling like my love for my pet is leveraged against me in order to extract as much money as possible. This is absolutely not the case at Moira Veterinary Clinic. Chris comes across as genuinely caring about my cat's wellbeing and I left feeling like I should have paid more for the excellent treatment as opposed to feeling gouged.

AWFUL! Our sweet, 1.5 year old 45 lb dog was "carried" to the back BY HER NECK without her butt supported by this "vet" who was too impatient to let us calm her down about getting a simple shot. She needed compassion but this vet just wanted to get our cheap appointment done so he could bang out another. I guess you get what you pay for. We are never going back. 0/5 (I wish that rating was an option).

Chris and all his staff at Moira Vet have always taken great care of my pets. They are also very reasonably priced. My lab mix loves to go there. After her checkup Chris cut her nails (her least favorite part) when he was done she tried to climb into his lap. Thank you for such great and friendly service.

Edited ** We saw Chris for my dog in Dec 2015, had a great experience, but had gone elsewhere in 2016 for an emergency trip as Moira was closed on Sundays. Dog was good until then, and we tried to go back to Moira for her advantix before we went camping last year in June. The secretary refused to sell it to me without booking a check up because I hadnt taken her there in over 1 year, AND suggested a parasite exam was the cheapest at 37$. I didnt have my dog with me, i was hoping to simply PREVENT fleas..and this flea stuff is 120$ for 6 months. Thats alot of money as it is so this additional money grab scheme made me angry. We went to Bay regional that day out of convenience.. They were able to dispense her flea meds with a free weigh in, and I was able to go camping next day. Although, Bayregional tried to push for us to call Moira to transfer her file to them permanently, we never did because we liked Chris. My dog was sick today. I tried to call Moira vet, and the secretary basically refused to take my sick dog because they hadnt seen her since 2015- added that she should have been brought in, and because there was a change in doctors in between, nothing could be done today. The secretary tried to make it seem like I misunderstood, and said that they changed drs around there and Chris was the only one. Making it difficult to see me today. She didnt even ask me if my dog was okay, or if it could wait until Monday for a booking. I was just flat out denied, and left hanging. Im sorry, but if there was in fact simply no room today, thats all that would have been said. If that really was the case, there would have been NO need for the secretary to even mention how long ago my dogs last visit there was, or give me poop for not taking her in... or mention a CHANGE with my dogs doctor in between in the same sentence as the " sorry we cant help you?" I heard loud and clear, why i was denied today. I know what she told me on the phone Chris...So for the record, Im not going to allow you to make me think there was a misunderstanding. The vet that did take us today stated that Moira simply wasnt taking new clients right now. Which is more in line with what the Secretary said. But.. I didnt authorize a " change" in my vet of any kind!! In other words, my dog was penalized today dor our decision to use an emergency vet one year, and another local vet for flea meds last year? Although Chris is a great vet, the people who own the company and make the policies are obviously crooks! This is just unethical and i will never be able to reccomend this place to anyone.

Chris and his team are the best! My animals have been patients of his since he opened in Belleville. Yesterday they saved the day again when it came to my 14 year old cat. They are always there to answer any questions and if they think your animal needs to be brought in, they find the time, just like yesterday. Genuinely such kind, caring people and it's nice to have them for my 2 cats and dog. I would never go anywhere else. We appreciate them and everything they do. Hands down, the best vet!
