Dr. Mike and the staff here at Hillcrest are AMAZING!! Unlike other veterinary clinics and hospitals that are out just for the money, the team here genuinely love what they do, and the animals they care for. My parents have been taking their two labs here for years. Last year the one had to be put down because of tumors that went undetected even after multiple tests. The team there helped my parents through the process, and even chipped in to get an ornament made of her paw print for my mother. This year my father passed, and the team has been just as caring for my mother to not only check on her lab, but also how she is doing. When I get my first full pay from work, I'll be taking my 2 rascals in to see Dr. Mike. I know in his hands and the care of his team, they will live long happy healthy lives, and be treated like they are part of the family. If you're new to the area and are looking for a vet, switching vets, or got a fur baby yourself who needs someone to help, you can stop your search now, because this place is the best in the area.

As owners of multiple rescue animals, we rely on our vets to keep our animals healthy, more so than the average person. Hillcrest Animal Hospital has been great. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and they truly care about you and your pet. Their prices are reasonable and are in line with other surrounding area vet clinics. Recently, our 15 year old miniature schnauzer had a growth on his leg start to bleed badly. We called Hillcrest and we were able to get him in right away. They got the bleeding stopped, bandaged him up, gave us some antibiotics and we were on our way home in no time. Fortunately, they were able to schedule him for surgery the next day to remove the growth. We are happy to say he came through the surgery fine. A big thanks to Natasha, the veterinarian who did the surgery. She is a great vet! Based on a number of experiences we have had recently with our animals, I would highly recommend Hillcrest Animal Hospital to anyone.

Just recently started going to this vet and I must say I am very impressed. My dog is normally very uneasy and upset during vet visits. With this vet my dog is so happy to be there and she rolls around for the vets to pet her tummy. Hillcrest has a great atmosphere and it really shows!

I just had a traumatic experience when my rescue Rottweiler attacked my other Rottweiler. I had Daisy for over 3 years and this was second attack. The vet stayed late to help me through this situation as I decided putting her down was my only option. I have a 17 month plus granddaughter to think about. I was met with understanding and compassion and as I stood there with blood on my clothes and hands from the attack and tears streaming down my face I was given the hugs I needed. I will never forget the hugs. This is why I have been going to Hillcrest since 1993

Hillcrest has provided excellent care for both of our dogs. They genuinely care about the animals they are trusted with the well being of. The real reason I write this review is the amazing actions they undertook when we lost our dog on the road. She was deceased before any suffering or care was possible. The staff at Hillcrest was incredibly sensitive in providing comfort to my wife and I at a terrible time. They also took it upon themselves to make a donation in our dogs name to the Farley Foundation, so that other pet owners dont need to lose their animals unnecessarily. I dont review companies ever but this company is something special and deserves to be recognized for it.

Was told my little dog had a significant heart murmur but because she had been barking without coughing was told she wasn't criticale at her examination and called a number of hrs later to say her breathing was even more laboured and she wasn't very responsive and the assistant did everything to put me off brining her in again. She died a few hrs later yet she wasn't critical.

I have both a cat and a puppy that I take to Hillcrest and I can confidently say that they have the most caring, compassionate staff. I think their pricing is fair and they never make me feel badly if I say no to extras. They can always give me a prompt appointment and treat my fur babies like their own. Sometimes I feel like my pets would rather go home with them, especially Sam! They adore Sam! I've seen at least three different veterinarians and they have all been very knowledgeable and helpful. We recently moved to the area and had been using a housecall vet service (which was wonderful) to treat our high anxiety dog. She suffered an injury recently and the housecall vets were fully booked and couldn't see her for days. I called Hillcrest, not holding out much hope of an immediate appt. for a non-patient. They were kind enough to get my dog in almost immediately. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the front office staff were super friendly and efficient. Every attempt was made to make my dog and I comfortable. We saw Dr. Armstrong who is a wonderful vet. She is calm, gentle and knowledgeable and the perfect vet for our super nervous dog. I can't say enough good things about this clinic. BONUS - onsite store that sells the brands of specialty foods you can only get at vets. Fully stocked and you can place an order (I did) and have the cases of food there in two days. Amazing! One stop shopping! I love this place but more importantly, my dogs anxiety was accommodated and that made for a seamless vet visit. Thank you Hillcrest. See you soon!

I had my cat pass away a few days ago. I was not ready to let him go, I called the humane society ( they said they wouldnt take him) they told me to call a Vet. So I called a vet that was around the corner from me. They also said no. I then called Hilcrest, well let me tell you!!! Jocelyn, a girl that works there was the most amazing Vet ever, she not only said yes they will help me she offered me cremation and the ashes back!! THIS, this was the most heart warming Vet ever! When no one else would help, Hilcrest and Jocelyn went above and beyond to help out! I want to send a huge thank you to you guys!!!

We changed from this place to a new vet in Trenton and couldn't be happier, I found this place was way overpriced and not very knowledgeable when it came to my dog being sick and do unnecessary tests and love to keep running up your bill without permission and I will pay anything for my dog but this place was greedy and lacked care, it was pure profit over care.

The staff is wonderful. Great with my pets. Each pet was addressed approached and dealt with based on them I individually. I have a terrified dachshund in Chihuahua, they were calm and slow and patient. I have a jumping up Boston terrier, they were understanding, I have an overweight treat motivated pug mix, they used that to their advantage. I have a ninja cat who is not friendly, they handled him carefully. My animals did not leave there stressed or traumatized. Very impressed.

If you need vaccines this office is capable of doing that but if your pet is not well I would highly recommend going somewhere else.I brought my dog here because she was experiencing extreme pain and the vet did what they thought was an examination which consisted of checking her legs and spine with her fingers..well what a joke that was because last time I had a vet charge $100 for an exam he did a full exam of eyes,ears temp and a thorough examination of every structure.She ordered blood work because they thought it might have been infection.She asked that we go home and wait few hours until the blood was checked and just as I was leaving my dog had an episode of pain so the vet took my dog in the back and did another test called glucoma test for her eyes and charged me another $100.They called me 4 hrs later to tell me everything was normal and that I should see a different vet because she read in her book that it could be a tumour???Are you kidding me...they charged me $400 for her to read in a book of what it might be...hmmm I think she was as smart as the book she read from...they are incompetent and have no clue what to do when your dog is sick.
