When I had to put down my 18 year old pitbull they helped carry out to the car so I could take her out to the farm. And of course with a belly full of treats. Very sweet and thoughtful people. Not happy here. I understand that these are challenging times due to Covid but refusing to take on new clients whom are seeking help for their animal leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Someone seeking veterinary care and being responsible to have their sick animal looked at, should never be turned away.

They have been wonderful with my new puppy. In the first two weeks I had him, he got quite sick for a day and I had to rush him in. Staff were wonderful and supportive and right there with me - they were understanding and compassionate. They even called the next morning to check in on him. Amazing. I felt supported in a very stressful time.

Why are only the good reviews on here for Belleway Vet? Not only have I left there, I know of 4 people who left because the Dr was so uncaring, cared more for the money then feelings of the pet owner. Worst time having to put a furbaby down, when met in the room with needle in hand before we go any further here, hands over the debit machine REALLY!!!!

I had one kitty declawed here a few years ago (best price in town). They were great with my kitty. When the second needed to be declawed too— the kindness from the doctor and staff was amazing! I was so nervous for my little baby and was going to call at 3pm and check on him. I was so relieved and impressed with the doctor when she called me at 1030am to tell me he had made it through surgery and was ok! She must have just finished the surgery, and it was sooo nice of her to call right away. She also said I could call as much as I wanted hehe ???????? Lovely service and like the vet said on the phone “they treat your animals like they are their own!” ????

I would highly recommend Belleway Veterinary Hospital if you are in the Belleville and surrounding area. I called around noon to make an appointment as my dog had scratched his eye and we were in to see the vet before 3 pm. Very professional service. Prices are very reasonable.

I've been to my share of veterinarians, and in the Quinte region this is by far my favourite one. They got my cat an appointment basically right away (same day), treated me with friendly service - but more importantly, anyone who dealt with my little kitty treated HER extremely well. They seem to genuinely care about animals, minimizing an animal's stress as much as they can. I found the Doctor that I dealt with to be courteous and patient, and didn't feel as if she were rushing to her next appointment or anything. The environment is clean, as well, which is always nice. Easy to locate, and what seemed to be ample parking. Vets and associates have a tough job so I appreciate all the kindness my cat and I got. Thanks!

We brought our kitten Stormy here and he has received excellent care from Dr. Drysdale and her staff. He is doing much better now and has a beautiful coat and has gained some weight. He's playful and bright-eyed and sociable. The front desk staff are very helpful and courteous at all times. Their prices are fair and in line with other vets I have used in this area over the years.

These wonderful people took my dog in on short notice. We just moved here and my dog got into something he shouldn't. After calling numerous vets that couldn't take him in even though he was borderline responsive and could barely walk or keep his head up (total emergency) they were able to take him without question even though I'm sure it disrupted their day. Its disappointing they are full and not taking any more clients right now because I would love to bring my dog back for his regular shots and whatnot. I'll be forever grateful that they could see him that day.

My birder collie, Sophie needed a bunch of cysts removed. Being new to the area, I was searching on line for a reputable vet. When I called to make an appointment, they were great and we were there the next day. My dog is a rescue and doesn't take well to strangers. She took to them right away. Sophie had her surgery a couple days ago and the staff were wonderful. Very supportive. They called three days later with the lab results and to check on Sophie. I highly recommend them. Thank you for taking care of Sophie and for all you do.

On September 16th we brought in our wee girl Willow (ferret) she was very weak and lethargic. We arrived at 8am to drop her off, as per covid rules we couldn't be there with her ☹️. This is not ideal for me as I don't like being away from her, but the staff made the transition easy and stress free as possible. We received at least 3 call from Dr. Drysdale throughout the day to keep us updated and to ask questions, she took the time from a very busy schedule to do this! This is the 2nd Time we've needed an emergency visit and we we're not disappointed, they got her in quickly! Keep in mind ferrets are considered "exotic" and can be expensive to vet, we just don't find this to be the case at Bellway, Dr. Drysdale and her staff are amazing, caring people! Willow has just finished her meds and is almost back to her bouncing rubber ball self???? she still gets tired after playing with her brothers but she is well on her way! Thank you Dr. Drysdale and staff from Willow, Oliver and Simmon ????

We have been loyal to this office for over 14 years. Unfortunately they have lost a customer who has many times recommended their service. I took my cat into the office in January for an ear infection, we called ahead for a rough estimate which was accurate. They had booked a followup appointment. We received a call they day prior and my husband specifically asked if there would be a charge. We were told no, not for a recheck. I wouldn't have even had an issue if they said yes, I may have just put it off a week. I took him back, ears checked, all clear. We are just going to do a swab to make sure (still no mention of a cost or no option to decline). Yup all clear, we are just going to clean his other ear (which had zero issues) and again no mention of a charge for the cleaning, no option for me to decline. Fast forward a few weeks later a we get a bill in the mail. It's not even about the costs at this point. It was complete and utter negligence. Unfortunately we will be seeking out another vet for our upcoming neuter and shots. Again, this is not about the charge, it is about the deception! We will be in to pay it as that is the right thing to do, we will NEVER use your services again.

Just 3 stars because I don't yet know how they deal with health issues. Employees are efficient and polite. What I saw of the clinic was clean and tidy. Fees are reasonable. Easily accessible on Hwy 62 and parking in front of the clinic. Will update this again later.

We came in once with our dog when she had a cough because our usual vet was on vacation. Our dog has problems with anxiety which is being treated with our regular vet. When we see our vet, everything is great, she barks, he makes her sit, gives her treats and love and they're friends. How it should be. We come to Belleway however and it's not such a great experience. The vet tech comes in, asks the usual questions, allows our dog, Blue, to decide how the meeting goes, she gives Blue her space and waits for her to come over first, she knows her stuff, this is how it should be done, I know this, because I myself used to work as a Vet Tech. Everything changed when the vet comes in. She comes barging in the door, walks right up to Blue and reaches over her head to give her pets. BIG MISTAKE. Intentions were good, but this is NOT how you greet a new dog, this is just animal medicine 101 and the first thing that was drilled into my skull in school. Anyways, my dog doesnt appreciate it and let's out a small grumble, a dogs way of politely asking her to back up. This lately immediately panicks and backs up into the corner with her hands up. Tells us shes nervous with dogs because shes been bit and puts a muzzle on her for the first and only time in her life. First off, if this is how you approach dogs, it makes sense that you've been bit. Second, when you react like that it makes the dog more fearful. Third, everything was fine until you came in. Fourth, why are you a vet if you're nervous with dogs and/or dont know how to handle a dog with anxiety. Unbelievable. I told my usual vet about the experience and he advised me her behaviour was completely wrong.
