I wasn’t very impressed with my experience here. The techs were nice and capable, so I don’t fault them at all. But why is the building still closed? Every other business has been open for at least a year! So I had to drop my already very anxious dog off outside and let a tech take him away, thus making him more anxious. Then, unsurprisingly, he was too nervous to let the vet check his mouth, so I had to walk around the back of the building where they took him out to the backyard to meet me. I had to wrangle him myself because the vet was too nervous to go near him (because, in her words, he was “bite-y”—again, not surprising given the fact that he’s a dachshund getting a mouth exam). Finally she got the quickest look at his mouth and determined he would need an expensive surgery. I don’t doubt that he needs the surgery, but I will be taking him elsewhere to someone who puts more time and effort into making my dog comfortable.

I would put 0 stars if it would let me, i had a HORRIBLE experience. I took my dog here for care from a rash and lump on his chest. They told me to wash it every other day to keep it clean it. They only looked at the visible one on his chest and didnt bother even checking the rest of his body for other lumps. I told them from the beginning that I suspected cancer and they didn't say anything and even bother taking blood work to check. I spent about $800 to have them string me a long with no answers and just beat around the bush. I went to another vet for a second opinion and the first thing they Dr. Said was she suspected cancer and she checked the rest of his body and found multiple lumps and she immediately did bloodwork. Turns out his white blood cell count is high which is a symptom of cancer, they sent cell samples to msu to actually see if it is cancer. So I don't recommend anyone taking their pet here unless they want to be strung along and pretty much be robbed by this place with no answers.

Went there for a hematoma in my dog's ear, it was $45 for the office visit, then they charged me $50 to tell me that he needed to have surgery, I took him for a second opinion and he did not need surgery this place is expensive

Told us our dog had depression. Despite blood chemistry panel which was highly elevated. They were going to prescribe an antibiotic (without even diagnosing him!). After a horrible night of vomiting, we insisted on an IV. He lost 10lbs in 2 days and his temp was abnormally low. They released him back to us and just said if he’s not better in the morning, take him to Blue Pearl. We took him to Blue Pearl that same afternoon. By the time we arrived he was nonresponsive!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! I have no idea why they are in business! I am stunned and amazed at their lack of concern or effort. And they are NOT “affordable “.

Our two dogs were scheduled at10 this morning, and when I called to confirm the address they didn't have them on their books. Ashley told us to bring them in any way and we were so pleased. With Covid regulations, we were unable to go in with them which was a little nerve racking BUT the staff took wonderful care of our girls and we were out of there within an hour. Not bad for 2 clients ahead of us and no knowledge of their appointment. This office was extremely efficient, kind and we are so glad that we brought our girls here. 10/10 all around.

I paid only 72$ for a physical exam, distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine and heartworm test! Talk about affordable! Other hospitals were telling me pricing around 120$! From the moment you walk into this facility you are greeted by a bubbly friendly knowledgable receptionist in a bright colorful clean smelling office who then offers you free beverages and snacks while you wait and treats for your pet, among many different free informational handouts. Then after my short wait my pet always recieves the up most care and I am kept completely informed and comfortable the entire visit. I have always been presented with an estimate before any procedure was done explained in full detail by an experienced friendly technician. These women have a heart for what they do, they remember my pets by name and develop a personal relationship with each one. These women truly have the BESTTT interest for our animals and their pricing truly is affordable in comparison. I walked into a clinic expecting to find a new Veterinarian and I ended up finding a Veterinarian and a friend in every member of that staff. Highly recommended!

Affordable vet came to my home yesterday to put my Louie to sleep. I'm extremely disappointed by the whole process that I opted to do at home to have more peace with his passing as he was only 6 with cancer. He was in beginning stages of dying and still aware of us being there. When Dr duke and her associate walked in they were very cold and uncompassionate. Didn't explain the process of what was going to happen at all. She gave Louie shot to calm him down and a second one since they weren't working. He was still alert and she came over grabbed his leg and had her helper hold his head to inject. The fear in his eyes will haunt me forever. I laid down next to him at last minute to say it was OK for him to go and in a split second he was gone. I felt so rushed for something I paid extra for my peace with his untimely passing. I understand they had other visits to make but ever dog is that homes family member to not be treated like a quick job to get done. How about more compassion please!!!!!! What a horrible ending to my hard decision!

I absolutely love this place and have been going here for about 3 years. I don’t know why I’ve recently read that they charge too much. I just had to get two DIFFERENT antibiotics PLUS pain killers, AFTER a nail removal and a trim of all the others, and it was only $107. I think that’s very reasonable. Outside of that, the Dr is amazingly knowledgeable and loving with all the animals. The office is VERY clean; the staff is extremely friendly and professional, and my daughter loves their free treats for the pets and humans in the lobby. ????

When I had to have my dogs put to sleep without an appointment I called affordable veterinarian clinic in Belleville. They were able to accommodate me the same day in a timely manner . When I arrived the Great staff who were empathetic and caring came to my vehicle take care of them, they first give them a relaxing shot, then gave me time with them in the privacy of my own vehicle to say my final goodbyes they then came out and took care of what needed to be taken care of in a very professional, caring manner. When the time comes and I decide that it's time to get another dog they will be my veterinarian of choice. After all of a sudden done I received a sympathy card in the mail with all the staffs signatures. Made me feel very good.

Rude and unprofessional, also my puppy was given a shot that he did not need. According to the “DR” she did schooling and she determines what he needs and doesn’t. I was told that there were two series of bordetella which he had already received, he was then given a third (not needed). I also had concerns about his itching, was charged for an exam for her to tell me there are three kinds of allergies and I need to figure out what it could be. Thanks.. keep your babies out of this clinic, there are many others in the area that would be a better option

Rude and money hungry! I will never return to this place. When I first moved to Belleville my puppy was only a few months old and I needed a good vet to form a long lasting relationship with. This place is not it! I had my puppy’s shot records ready to view, but they wouldn’t accept them stating that they need to start from the beginning. I was fine with that and proceeded with the first set of shots. They’re never open, so when I was finally able to schedule my second appointment, I made sure to take the time off work and come on time. When I get there I waited 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment and they finally came to get him. This time stating that they needed to start over on his shots for a second time because I took too long to come back for them (although it was only 3 weeks). I refused, and they agreed to continue with the second round. I then scheduled my final appointment. I first called to confirm my appointment and they had no idea that I even had one scheduled. They over booked for the day and never scheduled my appointment. So, I had to wait another two weeks to get another appointment. When I finally get there for the final puppy wellness appointment (on a lunch break this time), they tell me that my dog is no longer a puppy and it would cost more to get his shots now. They failed to inform me of any of this this information on the phone and allowed me to come and unexpectedly pay the extra fees when I arrive. I mentioned it to the receptionist who then tried to blame their mistakes on me. I cancelled my appointment and vowed to never return! As a result of this terrible service, I still don’t have my puppy’s shots completely updated, but I’ve spoken with a more equipped place in Ypsilanti with more available appointments and better service.

Dr.Dukes and her staff are great! They take good care of my animals. They're very thorough, making sure my pets have what is necessary for them to live a happy life. They take their time with me touching base on everything from heartworm prevention, flea prevention, etc.... I compared prices with other Veterinary Clinics in the surrounding area and the prices are Affordable. Take into consideration that every bodies definition of Affordable is different. ????????

I just love these ladies. Especially the vet her self. I had an almost emergency and was freaking out even though they were closing they let me come in to make sure it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. I have always loved them. BUt today made me feel lime they were family. She releived my stress and saved me hundreds maybe even thousands. God bless you guys. I called and inquired about having my pup spayed they told me 45.00 told me they would discuss how much and when to bring her in for the spay took my pup they were done in ten minutes when I asked about the appointment for the spay they told me they didn’t do spays there so basically I am out 45.00 and have to look elsewhere to get my pup spayed. I've actually compared prices with other clinic's and Affordable Vet. is a lot cheaper as compared to others. The Name is Affordable doe not mean "FREE". Great customer service and the staff is very respectful. Every time I go there, they are always willing to provide an estimate before they do anything to my pet. BEST CLINIC AROUND! The office is very clean and bright! When I walk in it does not smell like a ANIMAL clinic.

They need to take affordable out of their name! Took my 3 lb poodle there to have his teeth cleaned, which would be his first visit to this vet. They told me they needed to see him before I could schedule the cleaning. So on the initial visit it cost me over $70 for them to look in his ears, listen to his heart, move his legs around and sell me an antibiotic which they require them to start before the cleaning (I have never had to do this at any other vet). On this visit I asked how much everything was going to cost and I was give a sheet that said his weight range was $147 and I also asked how much it costs to have teeth pulled since he would probably need some pulled, $37 per tooth! Really? They consider that affordable!? So I go to drop him off on the day off the cleaning and all of a sudden there's all these extra fees and now it's going to cost me $430, and that's NOT including any teeth being pulled!! Scam artists!!! Do not recommend this place at all!!

I have used this vet for several years and been very satisfied. This year is a different story. My dog is old and i don't want to extend her life with painful tests but i do want her comfortable.. I took my dog in for congestive failure and refused to allow labs for $250. The vet gave her one month supply of medication and refused to refill her medications until I get the labs. I took her back in one month and told them to only do labs that her medications would effect and she did not need to see the vet. Long story short she had labs she didn't need, had a vet exam, and refills on her medications and I got a large vet bill. I never got to talk to the vet or have test results or authorized another exam. I do think Dr. Dukes priorities have changed.

Will never go back. Very uneducated. My kitten was diagnosed with feline leukemia at 6 weeks. I asked what the next plan should be and the vet told me to Google it. Are you kidding me ?! I paid 120$ for you to tell me to Google my kittens health concerns.

Avoid this place at all cost! 1)They are still closed to pet owners entering building despite all other vets now being open 2) Staff was surprised when I requested to speak to the veterinarian on the phone once they examined my dog 3) It’s very apparent they have a bunch of assistants doing almost 100% of the work (you can’t tell because your not in there) 4) You explain why you’re there, fill out the paperwork, and they still have no clue. Their techs have you tell them exactly what you need and they just do it. They don’t review records etc. 5) They overbook to the extent that you further doubt the vet even does an exam-unless you are there for something they MUST look at. If it’s a wellness visit-forget it! 6) They are still closed because they realize they can overbook and offset the workload to the techs (you are now putting all your trust into the techs). You would notice if the vet didn’t come into the room or didn’t listen to their heart and lungs. 7) It’s very clear their customers in the parking lot do not recognize good care-it’s a bare bones service-nobody was talking to the vet!! What on earth people!

Great experience. Everyone was very nice. I found out my Siamese cat Samantha is healthy. But she has a sad attitude since my cat Toby died in May. The her favorite my English Setter Princess Lucille died in August. And her friend Shiloh. So I am happy she is healthy. Bought flea medicine for both of my cats. Expensive but worth it.

My dog was inside for all of 5 minutes. I think I spent less than 30 seconds speaking to the vet directly just to have her tell me what anyone could have google'd and then defer me to someone else who could actually help. I was still billed for a regular exam though I don't think you can really do all of what is typically done in a routine exam in the 5min they were with my dog. When I returned a few days later to pick up medication again I was charged for another routine exam - my dog didn't even enter the building! You'd think medicine would be a different cost. With covid forcing everyone to do curbside, there is really no oversight in what is being done inside these vet offices. If it wasn't so hard to get an appointment during covid, I would go elsewhere.

my pet was treated without my consent. They said I couldn't go in with my pet because of COVID. I never received a call from the veterinarian or any updates at all. They came out with my pet gave me 2 medications and a whopping $109 vet bill. No explanation, no contact with the vet (not even a phone call). I waited 30mins to even get my card back for my payment. Staff was rude.

Doctor Dukes made a house call last week which I was very appreciative about. I did pay dearly for it. She drew blood and called me back later that afternoon telling me my dog was severely anemic and I should get her to Blue Pearl in Southfield ASAP. I took my baby in to Doctor Buehler at Noah’s Ark for a second opinion and I was told she was anemic but not even close to severely. She has Pancreatitis. I do highly recommend Doctor Buehler. She kept me informed every step of the way and she also gave me an estimate in advance which was great, no surprises. Doctor Dukes had charged me $225. just for blood work and I never had a clue till I got the bill.

My boyfriend and I took our cat here when she was sick awhile back. The vet gave us no information about what was wrong, just did a bunch of tests that didn't help us, and we had an outrageous bill, and got no answers. This place is NOT affordable and they should change their name. Vet seems to just be in it for the money. We took our cat someplace else and they gave us more info, meds to help her, and directions about how to take care of her from here on out. We will not be going here again.

I would give 0 stars if i could have. This "vet" ( i use the term vet loosely) is FAR from affordable. I took my dog in a few times to have his eyes checked as he was having extremely bad discharge and redness. "DR" Dukes, comes in the room(for 2 minutes), walks to the opposite side of the room and without even touching my dog, or running any tests prescribes him eyedrops. i get up to the counter to pay and my bill is $200. $200 for a 3 minute vet appointment with no initial exam?! that i was charged for by the way. i Ran out of the eyedrops within 5 days and had to get a refill that cost $50, just to go back a week later, and her do the same thing. She walks in the room, looks at him from across the room, doesn't touch him, doesn't check his eyes, doesn't run any tests and prescribes him THREE sets of eyedrops that cost me another $200+. All that to see absolutely 0 improvement in my dogs eye health. When they called to confirm another appointment, i let them know that i was highly disappointed and would not be coming back. NOT IMPRESSED. Save your time, money and pet's health and go elsewhere.

Staff is friendly, but my experience was not the best. I will say it we over a year ago since we have been there, so maybe it’s better now, but I was charged $150 for services and medication my cat did not need because of a misdiagnosis while there. A positive is that they were able to accommodate us right away.

I want to give this Affordable Vet care a 0 star (BUT YOU CAN NOT) they are money hungry nothing affordable about them first off I was told a $100 visit cost me over $200 then they put my cat on a medicine that cost $45.00 second refill $45.00 did not last 5 day should have been 7 then I called and complained on Saturday on Monday they called me back and wanted me to pick up more meds for $45.00 give me a break Blu my cat has been on meds a few other time because his bladder is to small and he bleeds when he pee's I have never paid this much before. I will be taking him to another vet. The one I used to go to DR Yvonne is no longer in Sumpter sorry to lose her. So if you have money to give away go to AFFORDABLE VET
