They are a great vet to visit. Very good prices. I'm very happy. I've had two feral kittens spayed and neutered, as well as my own kitten and puppy. They are always there and have been affordable. I travel 2 hours to reach them currently. Very happy. My cats and dogs are healthy and happy.

The folks at South Barrie Animal Hospital have always taken good care of our pup! We’ve been seeing Dr.Iqbal for just under 4 years (since February 2018). He always gives great detail to any care that has been needed, recommendations, options and takes the time to answer our questions. Never forced anything on us and has been respectful to us. Anytime we’ve been in, we always get a follow up call to see how things are going. When ordering food it is quick and they always do their best to accommodate times for appointments for us. All the staff have been very loving to our boy! Thank you to Dr. Iqbal and his team!

I just got my 8 year old dog Nala near the end of February and since then the vet has been extremely helpfully with getting Nala up to date on all of her vaccines and getting her spayed. The staff are very quick at responding and very accommodating. Nala is always a little timid when going in but always comes out happy. I was quite nervous when getting her spayed last week because of her age but the vet did a great job at explaining everything and Nala has been doing great. Pricing is very reasonable as well, I called around to many vets to get pricing for vaccines and spaying and South Barrie Animal Hospital had the best pricing. Definitely will be recommending to my friends in the area!

I am writing this review for my dog Lavish. I have been here twice now and each time I was let down and charged an excessive amount for things that did not help but made it worse. Just recently I brought my dog over for a hot spot (common for the bully breed) Not only was it not properly diagnosed but i was given a prescription for medications that were ineffective. I will not be returning.

This past Friday my husband and I took our small dog in to see the vet because she was crying out in pain. We told the Vet that was on call, that we suspected that she was constipated. He ignored everything we said and continued to tell us that she would need every test imaginable. A total estimate of about $1269.10. We then asked him to explain why he thought she needed all of this. He had NONE. He basically said that he had no idea what was wrong with her and that’s why all the tests. We then Decided to take our dog to our regular vet once they could pencil us in that day. Turns out, she was just constipated. It was under $200 to figure this out and she has been her normal self since. I do not like this vet. He has “30” years experience apparently and I’m sorry but, zero intuition and cannot listen to the dogs owners, whom know their dog the best. I will never reccomend this vet to anyone. Nor will I ever take my pets here again.

My dog is a rescue and gets very scared in clinical situations. The entire staff is so kind and patient with him! The doctor is wonderful- very caring and concerned for our dog’s well being. I have recommended this clinic to everyone I know who has a pet! I’m very grateful we have found them!

I took my puppy and my 4 yr old dog here for check up's and needles and nail trimming and they did a very good job, very friendly and helpful answered all my questions and treated my pups with compassion and they emailed me the next day to make sure the pups were doing good, will be using this place for now on for my fur babies thank you so much everyone at south animal hospital

My puppy had a cyst on the side of his neck that concerned me ... they quickly got us in for immediate attention , were very friendly and responsive to our concerns and puppies needs. They treated him with compassion and got him on the road to recovery without price gauging is either! I would certainly recommend this vet to friends and family and anyone looking for a vet that takes pride in their profession!

Dr. Nazir was very nice, but clearly does not keep the clinic as clean as he should because right after our visit, our cat came down with ringworm. He had rubbed his hands all over our cat at his office (as expected) but clearly did not wash his hands or change gloves from a previous patient. Now our other elderly cat has ringworm too, as the one transmitted it to the other. Dr. Nazir refused to take responsibility or assist us with this. Very unprofessional in that regard. We will not be back and neither should you.

My cat had been sick and felt like her teeth were giving her grief. They fit me asap, and found yes - she needed a tooth pulled. They booked the procedure and everything went well. Any questions I had were always answered - and they took really excellent care of my fur kid!

My 10 lb dog Jill had her spay and a tooth pulled recently. Everyone was kind and caring. They called as soon as she came out of surgery with a follow up call on the Saturday to see how she was. Pain meds was included in her price. The price was very reasonable. We have switched to this vet. Worth the 45 minute drive for me. Thank you.

After taking a previous dog to SBAH, and then moving out of Barrie, I had the opportunity to take my new rescue dog for a second opinion for a surgery to remove a mass on his leg. Dr. Iqbal is the kindest, most understanding veterinarian I have ever dealt with, the mass has been removed, and I will be continuing to drive to Barrie to see SBAH for all veterinary care for both our dogs!! I did not know that such an amazing veterinarian hospital existed in my many years of owning and loving my beautiful dogs. I will never forget the caring compassionate woman that greeted my husband and I when we brought in our German Shepherd Maxx. This lovely person was who I refer to as nurse Bethany.. Our Maxx was at the end stages of CDRM and Bethany was not only the best care giver, but a huge shoulder to cry on when it was our Maxx's time. She would call daily just to see how we were coping. Sadly 4 months later our other Shepherd Rosey passed away of a broken heart. This is very fresh as it has only been 2 weeks since our loss. Thank you to the caring Vets and Bethany that are now running South Barrie for the caring and comfort you have given our family. Our most special thanks to Bethany for the daily calls to see how we are, making herself avaialble 24/7 even is it's for just an ear or shoulder to cry on. After Maxx's passing we got a new puppy, Arlo . Sadly Arlo became very sick when we brought him home.. Thank you to the talented and compassionate Vets, they helped our Arlo, he is fine now and doing puppy stuff.. I have never had a vet that has called just to check on any dog on a regular basis, to see if there is any questions. Also a nurse that we feel is part of our family. She was there holding our hands, giving us hugs, reassuring us when we needed it most.. Bethany, our family would be lost without you and the vets at South Barrie. I am going to enclose a picture of our puppy Arlo, how he was treated while in vet hospital, not in a cage and with lots of love.. Our Animals are our babies and South Barrie gets that.. Thank you so much for everything to an amazing Animal Hospital. I recently just got a little kitten. He was sick when I had got him, took him to another vet (not this one) and they said there was nothing wrong. The next day my lil guy was throwing up and having diarrhea at the same time. He stopped eating. He went from 2.6 pounds to 2 pounds. I took him to this vet and they offered to run tests and give him medication to try and help him. They worked! He was up eating, drinking and acting how a normal kitten should have been within 24 hours! I was so happy he was feeling so much better! Brought him in 3 days later & he was gaining weight! He's up and around acting like a kitten should! Meowing at me cause he wants more food lol! Thank you I couldn't have made Minton feel better without you guys! I highly recommend them! Such awesome and nice people working with you to help your animal!

This place is a rip off Tried to charge over 700 dollers to see why my Cat was peeing out of the litter box.... Then proceeded to add things to my bill i didnt ask for! Wouldnt listen to anything i had to say.. And Then said my cats bladder was empty and could not get a urinalysis.. 2 mins later his pissed all in his crate.. Your suppose to start at the bottom with a simple test and go from there not the extreme and get every test on the planet... Allandale vet hospital is amazing!!! I recommended anyone to go there. There also rated top in barrie! Cost me 260 dollers for exam and food plus to put him under and flush him out with a catheter and now hes fine :)

Both my cat and my dog show in their behavior how much they still love going to visit the vet! The Dr's professional opinion and explanations are highly valued when making the best decision for our furry loved ones. The techs and receptionist are fabulous and their followup care is great. We have had all our cats treated here for years and the vets and staff here are top notch. The prices are very reasonable compared to all other vets in Barrie, and the Doctor's never try to push us to do costly bloodwork unless absolutely necessary. 1 of our 11 year old cats has FIV and has had to have 2 enemas approximately 1 year apart...and in both cases the vet was able to easily determine his constipation by feeling around his stomach without the need of any tests or bloodwork. So I am beyond confident in recommending South Barrie Animal Hospital to anyone who loves their pets as much as we do...because the vets and staff here care for our pets as if they were their own!

I recently went to this hospital with my brother because his dog Lucky has been vomiting once in a while and has not been acting like himself for a while now. We brought him in, and we were provided with immediate care in which the Vet did an exam and recommended to do a few tests to find out exactly what was wrong with him. We left Lucky with them for a few hours and we also appreciated the fact that they called with updates to let us know he was doing during that time since we were so worried. Afterwards, we were called back to the hospital where the Vet discussed the results of the tests in-detail with us, and we were shocked to find out that he had a problem with his pancreas. The Vet gave detailed info about Lucky’s problem and further treatments as well. We were given some medications and special low-fat food. Lucky is already feeling so much better now and is back to being his normal self! He acts like a puppy again and I’m very thankful to the vet and the staff who took care of Lucky so carefully and lovingly. I’m glad that we agreed to the tests: they were worth it since we found the problem Lucky might had for a long time. The staff were all very helpful and I highly recommend this hospital to everyone! Thank you all so much for your help!

Thank you to all the veterinarians and staff!! Best vet clinic in Barrie and even Simcoe county, and we’ve been to many! Everyone was so kind, caring, and understanding despite Luna being so hyper and anxious. The veterinarian discussed everything in so much detail when we were there and answered all our questions. He printed off papers with all the options we had and we could say no to anything depending on our budget. They made everything so comfortable for us, we could tell that he just wanted what was best for Luna and what was easy for us to afford. Completely awful Veterinarian! They quoted me a price when I showed up the price went up and when I told him they gave me a price already he basically stopped caring for my pet. This office did not care about my pet at all. 5 minute check up and $100 for fleas and he didnt do anything while we were there. I had to do everything to calm my pet and give them the medication! Do not take your pet here if you love your animal!

I highly recommend this clinic. We brought back our puppy from foreign country The 9pack vaccination done twice foreign country. She needed final vaccination.The 9pack vaccination was made by foreign company,so the doctor had to find out the details.We called some vet close from I live,they refused. So I called South Barrie animal clinic.The reception lady was very calm and nice,she told us the doctor can find out. Doctor took time to read the paper work,listen we talk and found out which vaccination and treatment she needs or doesn't need.Doctor told us about cost of all vaccinations and consideration together.He has knowledge,explain the details,calm and honest.Nobody push,defending and clinic is clean.We are very happy to found them.

I highly recommend this vet. My dog Biscuit went in for routine bloodwork and the results showed that he was very ill. Dr. Iqbal advised me of his diagnosis and discussed, in detail and extremely patiently, his condition and treatment. Every time I call in or drop in unexpectedly, Dr. Iqbal will come out and greet me and ask about Biscuit and answers any questions I have. The fees, I feel, are very reasonable. They do not "nickel and dime" you. Dr. Iqbal will even personally call me to check on Biscuit or give results. BETHANY is WONDERFUL!!! She is so sweet, caring and knowledgeable. Biscuit and I often go for a walk and visit Bethany. She always takes time to cuddle Biscuit and give him treats. When it is time for any of Biscuit's treatments, Bethany is always patient and loving with him and he willingly goes with her without any hesitation.
