Very satisfied with care given my dog!
Very caring and reasonable
They give great care, but prices are quite high and they don't tell you what something will cost before doing it. If you want to know prices, make sure to ask about every step they're doing!
Very expensive vet likes to push lots of things on you
Dr. Davidson is the best vet we could ask for. He truly cares about our dog Lentil and has been nothing but a pleasure to work with. Dr. Davidson has called us multiple times personally to give advice or suggestions over the phone when needed which is super helpful. During visits he is very thorough and spends ample time with Lentil to ensure nothing is missed during a check up. Dr. Davidson will also follow up with us after visiting him in the clinic. He really does provide amazing overall care. We highly recommend him.
The staff is beyond amazing. Everyone is super friendly and they took great care of my dog. Dr. Jennifer is very knowledgeable, she was happy to answer all of my questions. I feel that Pablo now enjoys his vet trips! The level of professionalism is unmatched, they consistently follow up to make sure my dog is doing fine and they have a very convenient app that you can use to see your dog’s medical history, read tips tailored to your dog and chat to a doctor straight from the tool!
The medical staff at VCA Rosedale is very professional and truly cares about the patients' well-being. Our dog Pije has a recurring type of tumour and we were told three years ago by another clinic that she only had 4 months to live. We truly believe that Pije still continues to live a good, healthy life thanks to the medical care she continues to receive at VCA Rosedale, with early detection and proper handling of any tumour that pops up. Also being able to fully trust the expertise and care of the VCA Rosedale medical team, and particularly of Dr. Davidson, has made this difficult time a lot easier for us as pet owners.
The most kind, attentive, and professional veterinary care I have ever received for many years, including through the pandemic. Thank you!
Please avoid.
Staff is knowledgeable and respectful; can't recommend this office more.
Came here to do my CFIA paperwork to take my dog to France. The vet and staff were so lovely and accommodating. It’s a crazy busy time with vets being backed up across toronto but they really helped me out to make sure I could get my paperwork done in time for my CFIA appointment. Thank you so much!
A vet that I trust, they don't try to push you into unnecessary tests like some vets I've been to have. They are a little expensive but they are professional and knowledgeable, and offer the best possible care for your pet.
Wonderful and compassionate staff when I had to put my dog down. The vet came to my home, and a few weeks later, I get a letter that a donation was made on my behalf, thank you.
very courteous and professional, my pet is well cared for.
I bring my cat and dog here, and am really satisfied with the care they receive, the advice my vet gives and the service. Just a great vet all around.
Great experience with all of the staff here. Very helpful and non judgemental.100% coming back here.
Best team around! So happy to have found an animal clinic that's is so amazing with their patients as well as the pet owners. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies! 5 stars *****
We have been going to the Rosedale now for at least fifteen years and there have been no complications. We love it there, and our pets love it there. All the staff are very professional, kind, compassionate, and are all very dedicated.
Very compassionate and loving staff
Dr. Steven Davidson and his team did an excellent job on our 6 month old puppy’s spay surgery. She is a purebred Whippet with low body fat and susceptible to potential issues including anesthesia and hypothermia. We boarded her the night before surgery and she came home the next day a few hours after the procedure. Something I would recommend so the clinic can monitor the fasting process and ensure your animal is ready for surgery. I was happy to observe that the surgical theatre was immaculate and clean and the clinic smelled good. Cleanliness is an important element when it comes to reducing the risk of infections with surgery. It’s something I personally need for our pets to have confidence in a clinic. Post-surgery recovery has been remarkable.....No issues with anesthesia; eating, drinking, walking, regular bowel movements and does not appear to be in severe pain. She slept with us on the bed last night and was very calm and secure. The only downside is parking in a very busy Toronto neighbourhood and a crowded lobby waiting area due to a very busy vet practice, so give yourself a lot of extra time.
When i arrived one of the receptionists and a vet were speaking in full voice about the negative disposition of one of their clients. This left a bad taste in my mouth so to speak. Then they assisted the delivery person who arrived after me. At this point I had still not been acknowledged or even had been made eye contact with. I went in to buy Flexadin for my dog. Having just moved to Ontario I was not certain what this would require but when i asked for it she told me I would need a script from my vet. that was it. no suggestions. No follow up questions. Under normal circumstances I would have at least been given some options or even been asked if they could call my usual vet. But nope. They offered nothing and i just turned around and left. Zero stars is not an option. Awful experience.
Great service wonderful vet and great timely follow up on test results. Great attention to gentle care for an anxious and nervous dog.
Professional staff and great care. On the the pricier end. But you get what you pay for!
Dr. Gadina is amazing, always provides great care for my four legged Pal.
They love our dog as much as we do. It's our first pet and they have made it easy. Which it certainly isn't. Ok easier. Easier that's it. Thanks Rosedale!!!
We've never had a bad experience here, over 10+ years! Responsive, compassionate, great customer service and wonderful with the animals. Recently referred others and they've had the same positive experience (after having bad experiences elsewhere). Highly recommend! ????
They care about your dog and especially beagles!
Although all the Dr's and staff at the clinic are amazing, I can not say enough good things about how Dr. Wolfson is amazing. She has been beyond supportive and understanding with Peyton and her crazy mom (me). Although the road for Peyton hasn't been great, Dr. Wolfson has explained all our options and helped make the best decision with what we have to work with. During this covid time, I cant thank her and the staff enough. From this dog mom, and fellow medical worker, THANK YOU!!!!
Vets are super friendly and professional. They observed my pets thoroughly and carefully and offered tips on pets lifestyle improvements as well.
These dedicated people are amazing; very professional and affordable which is nice, I know our golden retriever is in good hands each time she comes. I’m happy our friend recommended them to us! ????
I have been dealing with rosedale animal hospital since 2012 and as much as I do miss the former owner Dr Medhurst, I must admit that the 3 new Drs that I have dealt with all were top notch. I now live 50 kms away from their location and have returned to them after 3 other vet nightmare rip off experiences in Newmarket. I will forever go out of my way to take my dog to this vet clinic. I have received excellent care from them and at a fair price.
Rachel, our vet is absolutely lovely. My cat doesn't even get too agitated. Prices are fair too.
The eternal search has ended . I have found the best vet and Animal Hospital in Toronto, maybe in the world. Dr. Ian Sandler is the best.....he treated my Guy cat to recovery after three other vets were handing out quotes for euthanasia. He and the rest of the amazing team of veterinarians assistants and receptionists were responsive and genuinely caring. My cat was given tests that were relevant to his condition and considerate of the financial toll that a sick animal can take. I was never pushed to do more than necessary and the most important thing is that the comfort of my Guy was the primary consideration. If an invasive test or treatment could be ruled out it was. After four months on being on deaths doorstep (according to the other veterinarians) guy is a happy energetic cat. The Rosedale people and I are cautiously optimistic, but Guy is just happy..
Quite expensive for a student budget but the quality of care is great and in the end, I would rather spend more for my pup and get the proper care. The people working there are organized and use computers (unlike my last vet).
Very disappointing. My appointment time was not kept and there was no wer9e to wait.
On Saturday my 6 year old mini poodle received emergency treatment by Dr Ian Sandler who quickly removed a stick caught between her back teeth. Minimal intrusion thanks to the experienced team receptionist Tara and assistance from Nicki. Heartfelt thanks!
The staff here are phenomenal. Very caring, patient and helpful. I am a total noob cat dad and they helped me understand how to best keep my best bud happy and healthy. I trust their advice and am very appreciative of their care.
Staff is extremely friendly and professional. Very easy to get on the phone with the office and to make appointments. The service is on time and easy too.
Beat vets
Amazing Vet techs and Vets. I feel my pet is getting the best care here.
Outrageous prices and upselling
I've had no problems here at all!
I googled good hospitals close to my house. And I found this one, so I took my dog that had a very swollen and infected paw because I figured she hurt herself in the park. I took her in wednesday, the Dr. said she saw nothing wrong and prescribed a scrub.. thursday I have to take her again since the paw is still swollen and turning purple. The Dr. said he would not look for whatever was in her paw because it would be difficult therefore to just let it evolve, he prescribed antibiotics and cleaned the wound... it is sunday now.. my dog still cannot walk.. I have cleaned her paw everyday, given her all her meds... and the paw is STILL swollen.... so I m worried... I started looking at it and as I would press on it blood and puss would come out, it did not look any better. So I took my twizer and found the little stick that was creating all this mess... which could have stopped wednesday if the Dr did her job well, instead of being so amazed of my dog's good behaviour ... I spent $200 and I am very disappointed , I think it is ridiculous that they did not see what was wrong, didn't even look for it, just prescribe a scrub and some meds?!?! she had a piece of wood stuck in her paw!!! I would never go there again, I do not trust their "knowledge"
Very nice people. Good service.
Wonderful staff and friendly service. We loved our sibling shih tzu report card. Highly recommended ????
We had an appointment scheduled a week in advance. When we arrived at the Hospital, we were told by the receptionist that the Doctor would not be seeing us today at the scheduled time because they were not currently in the office. It was a huge let down for us as we commuted from a far distance. If they had let us known before having us travel all the way here, it would have been understandable. However, we did not receive any forms of notification - either through a phone call, e-mail, text, or voicemail that we would have to be rescheduled. It was extremely disappointing to see how unreliable and unprofessional the staff here are, for expecting us to arrive at the scheduled time and only upon arrival that they notify us about the cancelled appointment. The staff here have shown that they are inconsiderate and not respectful of people's time. Will definitely not come back.
VCA Rosedale is horrible!! They rip you off. I had an initial examination for my puppy and that went good. Doctor was very thorough. After the first examination i suspected my puppy had an UTI for which i called them to ask if I will be charged extra for them to collect my Puppy's urine and they confirmed - its no extra charge. After I receive the invoice i see an extra payment of $90 as an examination fees(this was done 10 days after initial visit and also the fees was different from the first visit.). All that need to be done was collect his urine sample and send it for urinalysis. I called VCA Rosedale again and they mentioned if I would have done it, there wouldn't have been any examination fees.(wasn't mentioned on the call) Reception desk is HORRIBLE, totally unprofessional. Save your money and there are better vets out there in Toronto!!!!
I have three rescue dogs and three rescue cats. One of my rescue dogs, Emma, was a puppy mill breeder survivor. She was 8 years old when I adopted her and she had a laundry list of medical ailments, ALL due to severe neglect and abuse. I went to Rosedale Animal Hospital and saw Dr. Davidson, one of my regular vets. He was extremely sensitive to Emma's current physical and emotional state. She was afraid and cowered. Dr. Davidson started off slowly and we began to work through and deal with Emma's many ailments. We finally finished the list and Emma looked and felt wonderful. A month later, Emma started limping and I thought that she had sprained her leg outside in the yard. Dr. Sandler became involved and had her leg x-rayed. Within a couple of days, Emma and I were on a way to Guelph Vet Hospital. Dr. Sandler referred us immediately. They confirmed that she had osteo-sarcoma. Several surgeries and several treatments later, Emma was cancer-free. She remained cancer-free for 6 months. The cancer, unfortunately, returned in November 2012 and Emma passed away peacefully on December 21, 2012. Dr. Davidson and Dr. Sandler helped this beautiful dog live the last year of her life so that she was able to experience real love, for the first time, with a real family. THANK YOU, ROSEDALE ANIMAL HOSPITAL..... Dana M.
Very professional and courteous!
Dr. Wolfson is fantastic! She explains everything clearly, and only suggests things that she feels are necessary. Most importantly, my dog adores her! This is a vet that truly cares about your pets.
I called several times and nobody picked up the phone. So I brought my cat in because she was having breathing difficulties and was turned away. It was was an hour before closing and I get that but she is a patient there and if necessary I expect a Vet to stay an extra fifteen minutes to look at a kitty in need. I'm looking for a new Vet now I am very disappointed.
My dog loves this place! My wallet does not, but it's worth it
I've been bringing my dogs here since the 80's great quality of care and friendly
Great caring staff and doctors! Did not try to do unnecessary tests like other places just to make more money. I highly recommend them.
Without a doubt VCA Canada Rosedale Animal Hospital is 5 stars. I would rate it 10 stars if I could. Every single person there who I've had contact with is friendly, caring and genuinely concerned about your needs. Most importantly they are concerned with the needs of your pet. I have a dog and have had nothing but good experiences. In particular, Dr. Godina is our vet, though you'll be in good hands with anyone you meet. I have a dog that I would consider difficult to look after. I recently boarded her with Rosedale Animal Hospital and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. What a fantastic group of people from the veterinarians to the technicians. Highly recommend. I don't know what I would do without them!
The vets are top notch! They don't push or try to upsell you into costly unnecessary tests . We have been going to VCA for several years with all our dogs!. They are very compassionate when the sad day comes to a senior for baby. All the techs are fantastic as are the front desk staff. The entire team are very transparent, caring and highly skilled!. If you are looking for a vet this clinic is for you!! We dont live near the clinic but we make the trip as they are amazing and we wouldn't trust any other clinic or vets to care for our beloved fur baby Bailey. Sharon & Chris
My little cat died yesterday. We had been with Secord for 19 years. Dr. Mike Cormier is the absolute best vet in the world. Mike was on vacation sadly. It is now Saturday and I am still waiting for a Thursday call back from Secord. I even emailed them. No one got in touch with me. My cat was in horrific pain and it was heart wrenching going through the rude staff in the call centre. My lawyer will now handle that matter. For COMPASSION, CARE AND EMPATHY we had to go to ROSEDALE VETS, their sister company. For the people who are commenting about the reception staff being friendly at Secord – you have absolutely no idea, what they say about you, when you are gone. The two old receptionists should be retired; their toxicity passes along to the other front line staff. I would never recommend this hospital unless you can get Dr. Mike Cormier himself, RUN, RUN, RUN to Rosedale Animal Hospital, their sister company. You won’t find care, compassion and empathy at Secord.
Dr. Davidson and his team took very good care of my dog. My dog is feeling great. He is happy and playful again. I have not seen him this happy in so long. Thank you! I am so grateful.
Excellent quality care over 7 years of our boxer on his annual check up; living out of town from Toronto the doctor was willing to accommodate us on our time of visit
I've had no problems with the people or service. It's a bit expensive, but think of the location- sure, if you want to save a few bucks, go elsewhere. For me the problem is the hours- for a 'hospital' it has the most inconvenient hours I've encountered. The pet shop up the road is open more. It's hard to schedule my animal getting sick during standard business hours.
Over priced services when it comes to x-ray and blood check. They quotes x-ray for 1000 dollars which is ridiculous and 300 for blood check. I run into another vet who did X-ray around 300 and blood check for 220 dollars. They fix my kitty quickly. I waist a ridiculous amount of time today due to those in unreasonable pricing.
