Great staff! Friendly and compassionate.
I've been dealing with Northdale Animal Hospital since i got my first kitten in 2008.. since then i have acquired and rescued several kittens, and brought them all to Northdale where they received the best care! The Doctors and front staff Nancy, Maggie and Eveline are the nicest and kindest women I have ever met! They Truly Love Animals and their job and it completely shows.. I recommend Northdale to any animal owner...
I have been taking my pets to Northdale Animal Hospital for over 10 yrs now. I rescue homeless cats and rehome them. Northdale has Always been so awesome with All my pets, even my hard to handle cat. I’ve taken my cats there for their shots, spay and neuter, check ups and everything in between They’re always so kind and helpful
Quick and efficient.
Excellent staff. The only place I take my pets!
I Will Not Recommend This Vet To Anyone So It’s You’re Right To Chip Someone’s Dog Without The Owners Permission And Steal Their Dog Save Yourself The Hassle And Don’t Use This Crime Scene Vet There’s Other Vets Out There
Our dog Brady loves going to the vet. We love taking him because he is so comfortable there. This great team always makes us feel comfortable and at ease. Our questions are answered and Brady gets lots of love!
We have been going here since the beginning and were fools for even thinking of going somewhere else!! This place treats you with the utmost respect and dignity. They call and email afterwards to make sure your pet is fine after vaccinations and treatment. They even send you email reminders if you sign up for it. Hands down the best place to take your animal!! They don't play with your emotions, and give your pet the attention they deserve. A great place and I am truly sorry for even trying somewhere else when this place is unbelievable!!
My new vet.very nuce workers and they treat u and your furrie friends nice.
Dr Granton is fantastic. He was great with my dog, even though my dog can be "challenging" at times. Their pricing is reasonable and he seemed like he truely cares about the welfare of all his clients.
The staff here are amazing, compassionate and so understanding ... I'll never take my furry family members anywhere else
I brought in my dog for an exam (routine summer checkup, and some vomiting these few days) and was hoping to stay clients permanently after moving here. First, the pricing is unreasonable: $97 for an initial exam, when an emergency visit at another vet was $106 a few months ago. I came because I saw some good reviews and they were able to get me in the day after I had called. My dog was experiencing symptoms that looked like something was wrong with his stomach, similar to having a parasite since he had one last summer from contaminated water. So, it wasn't my first rodeo with this kind of thing and was expecting a thorough exam, a few suggestions to make my dog feel better, and possibly a prescription of anti-parasite medication. The doctor we saw seemed skittish around my skittish dog. He JUMPED when my dog yelped after receiving a needle. My dog showed ZERO signs of aggression, he was running from the doctor and hiding behind my legs. He's never done this before with any vet. The doctor was more nervous than my dog. Honestly, I was surprised he was even a vet since he had no idea how to act around a nervous animal. When I mentioned the vomiting (primary concern), he took somewhat thorough notes even though I had to repeat myself several times. I showed a photo of my dogs vomit and he said to me "well it could be grass, what do you think? Do you think its grass or kibble? What do you think it was?" EXCUSE ME. I am not the doctor here! I took the picture so he could determine how severe the vomit was! I gave a thorough breakdown of my dogs week: what his stools looked like, his energy levels, what he eats, how he sleeps - and still the only diagnosis I got was: "it could be anything really: parasites, pancreatitis, worms, he ate something bad, the food." Fair enough, but he provided zero insight or expertise. I might as well have googled my dogs symptoms. I suggested I bring in a stool sample (I know that it's routine when dogs don't feel well), and he seemed confused as to why I would suggest that. The doctor gave zero recommendations on how to ease my dogs symptoms. I left to pay and for my dog to have a blood sample taken. I heard yelping and soon after, the doctor came out and asked me to secure a muzzle on him. I should have walked right out then, because they were treating him far to harshly for a dog that was crying and whimpering. I opted not to have $300 of blood work done because of the show I had seen with this doctor. I got the heartworm bloodwork done so that I could have some peace of mind and start my dog on summer meds. As I was paying, I asked how much the Nexgard+Heartgard would be. It was priced SUBSTANTIALLY more than what I had paid last summer. I asked if I could have just the prescription, the receptionist said "oh uhhhh, we don't really do that." So after I paid (without the medication), I just left. I will not be coming back, and I will be recommending against coming here. I called around a few places and Northdale's price points are quite high for the subpar quality of care provided. I'm quite traumatized by my morning at this clinic, and thoroughly regret calling them in the first place.
Called to ask if they sold Purina Pediatric cat food after being put on hold for 10 minutes got put on hold again while she looked. Very poor on the phone. If it was a emergency the animal could of died while on hold.
We were sent to Northdale because our usual clinic couldn't fit us in, they were great! The vet was super thorough in explaining everything to us, told us all the possibilities and exactly what to watch for. We didn't feel pressured to take any particular course of action, he was upfront about the cost of each procedure.
I spent over $800 but Joey had to be put down 3weeks later. A lot of bloodwork and xrays and the wrong diagnosis. Not a good experience!!
nice front desk staff
Service is great and good package for puppies. You get unlimited appointments, nail trims and most of the shots covered in that package. It costs around $70/month.
The care from everyone there is phenomenal! Feels like home! ❤
This VCA clinic is really charge a lot money. You may be unconsciously charged some extra fees. I will definitely not come back anymore
Amazing staff and good covid safety. They are understanding.
Both of my dogs have been there for 6 years and I have nothing but good things to say. The front desk staff are very polite and professional. The vet techs are all very nice and eager to help or answer your questions. The doctors are brilliant, very knowledgable and straight to the point. The pricing isn't nearly as bad as other places in London, buy pet insurance lol.
Took my dog her as her regular vet. Initially took her here, the first time they were able to get her an appointment for the same day. Sadly I had to put my dog down - the staff were so supportive, loving and dedicated to the animals.
They were friendly and efficient.
Awesome staff and vets.
Super friendly staff and they even lied to us and assured us that our car wasn't the worst feline patient they've ever had. :)
Great group of veterinarians and staff that truly have your pet's best interest at heart. Highly recommended.
Very friendly staff
Excellent service and lots of love for their patients.
Very friendly and helpful staff
The rooms are a bit small as is the waiting room but I've always had friendly and effective service. Dr. Granite and Dr. Francis are great vets and my dog seems to be okay going there.
Overpriced for the mediocre service. Also charges for things without asking, like microchipping. We have indoor cats and live in an apartment there is slim chance of them getting out. If I would have known this I would not have gotten my cat microchipped. Also bloodwork before spaying and neutering? Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve never heard of a place doing that, and that’s coming from a family who has rescued many animals and gotten their shots and spayed/neutered. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Both of our dogs have their health needs met here. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and caring. They do a great job of calming an anxious dog! Also, I was SO impressed by both the spay and neutering services that were performed here -- the incisions were almost invisible, VERY small, healed very quickly, and left no scar! THANK YOU!
Brought my cat here a few times and first few times seemed very nice, resolved some minor issues my cat had when I first got him, but 4 months ago my cat almost lost his life due to crystals in his bladder (very long story), took him here because they were still open for a half hour. They charged me $90 to just tell me " Ya he's blocked (which I knew already) and that I should take him to the emergency hospital on Adelaide" because they were closing. Due to that the animal hospital on Adelaide St and Nelson St, they nearly killed him due to their very neglegent care and he had a long 4 month battle to recover.
I once used this vet a years back. Took Ghost in, they said she might have a kitten inside and that was what was making her ill. They said she was good, eating, drinking, doing her business and good to come home. I didn't bother asking if they had found another kitten inside of her, I went to get her and brought her home. She wouldn't go near her kittens. She wouldn't eat drink or go to the bathroom so I doubt she was all good. We took her back for an x-ray where they said there was fluid all through out the x-ray and they could try but it wasn't a sure thing... And after an emergency clinic over the weekend of fluids then surgery at this location to which may have been for nothing for all I know, and the overnight rest there, and x-rays... I was in debt and could do nothing more but put her down. I heard her meow and he came out to ensure me it wasn't in pain but surprise but it was painful. I since got another pet and had taken it to the small place on fanshawe and Adelaide and she walked me through options, told me what she was doing. Was informative of all options... And actually an amazing person. I'm not saying the people here are bad but I don't put the lives of the ones I love in a vets hands that I am unsure and wary of.
I called clinics all over the city after my cat's regular vet was triple booked and couldn't see him until the following week. He was throwing up after every attempt to eat and stopped drinking water. He was not improving after 48 hours and started showing other concerning symptoms. Despite already being booked up for the day, Northdale Animal Animal Hospital was able to fit him in the same day. Everyone at the office was very kind. I had a very pleasant experience with the clinic from the first phone call to the actual visit. Dr. Granite was very thorough in explaining all treatment options, and did not push for testing that he felt was unnecessary based on my cat's condition. In the end, he provided his professional opinion and left it up to me to decide treatment. Nancy even called a few days after to make sure treatment was working. A week of antibiotics to treat symptoms and a change in food has my cat back to his old self! I am so glad to have come across this clinic with compassionate individuals!
Loved Northdale been a regular for years! If your a new client ask for Dr. Whitehead even though she;s only there for a couple days out of the week she is worth it! I have requested every time! She is really patient with my dog and my dog is a little aggressive guy to the vet he does not like them, just like as us humans don't like the dentist. :) Dr. Whitehead made sure my dog was in good care and helped him stay calm and did alternatives and gave some helpful tips! She helped my dog recover from a broken leg! Its good for your dog to get use to one doctor! Request Dr. Whitehead writing this review because of her service and as well as the great staff!
We don't go to this vet, but we do buy our cat food here. Staff is very friendly, and the food is reasonably priced.
Wow!! Amazing people with great hearts. We recently had to put our dear Lola down due to a serious sickness and we were treated with absolute compassionate care. Through the process I was able to see Lola simply fall asleep forever. Thank you for all you did and for your thoughts even after with the gift of flowers. Lola is gone but not forgotten. Thanks guys. You have our respect and are highly recommended.
Girls are very friendly, my puppies love to go there and they are not scare. They are treated with kind warm and caring people.
I chose this vet during covid when I got my first pup and they were the only vet that would accept it at the time. The vet is absolutely fabulous. Dr. Rahman is caring and thorough. He spends as much time as needed with your pet and makes sure all your questions and concerns are addressed. My only complaint is the prices. You pay 3-4 times more than other vets here in London. I know have two pups it have had to take my little girl elsewhere because of the cost.
Excellent that its open on holidays - always available in a pinch & staff are kind - however, pricey and the operatories are... dingy... does not reassure / comfort in a time of stress (for both pet and owner alike!)
Great place for your fur babies. Treated us very well. Great staff, wonderful communication in all aspects, and awesome hours of operation. No complaints.
I've brought my pup here since I got her at 5 months and invested in all her shots there. She developed ear infections so we brought her in and saw a vet and received medication. She had the same issue another time and we followed up the same way. Months later after trying natural remedies the dog still had the recurring ear infection. It was really bothering her so we tried reissuing the medication but they insisted they needed to do tests first. So we brought her in and the vet took a quick look in her ears and gave us the same medication with a suggestion to change her food, which we told her we've done multiple times . No tests or samples. So we continued the meds and changed the food again. The meds are done now and she is starting to develop the same irritation, but how many dollars have to be spent before we get satisfying results and proper care.
Very displeased with my experience here - went to just get my dog's annual distemper vaccines and they did an exam and a blood test without my consent, costing me over $300. Will not be going here again, although my dog loved it there in the past. This time she was terrified and cowering from the vet.
Friendly staff, saw a wonderful Vet who explained everything thoroughly and they were all awesome with my fur-baby
This place is awesome. The staff are so sweet, and they make sure you understand what the bill will be and ok it with you before they do anything.
We've used this Vet since 2012 and we've had no issues whatsoever. Friendly service, average prices.
Take great care of your pets.
Kind and caring.
Rosie is my 3 yr old cat just started throwing up brown liquid she has had stomach issues in the past and was seen by a vet there
Very caring and friendly staff. Excellent service and very helpful. They genuinely care about their patients and not like other vets i have been too in the past.
They welcomed our pet with open arms and they are always open! Prices are reasonable too.
I brought my cat in because he had a respiratory infection. I mentioned in passing that I had just adopted him and my small dog had nipped him when the cat tried to eat his food, but the cat was fine, his skin wasn't broken, no scratches, no swelling, nothing. The vet gave him an antibiotic shot which I was told was for the respiratory infection and some probiotics and a gel to feed him to boost his immune system. The fee was over 300$ & there was no improvement on his infection. I brought him to a different vet who read the report from Northdale hospital and I was told the antibiotic shot he was given was for skin infections! He didn't have a skin infection !! **My cat wasn't given anything to treat the respiratory infection, which was the original reason I brought him to Northdale the first place! ** No wonder why his respiratory infection didn't go away!! The 2nd vet gave me oral antibiotics which cleared up the infection no problem. I wish I had never gone to Northdale Animal Hospital. I wasted time and over 300$. RIDICULOUS !!!
My experience here was fantastic. The doctor and staff are very empathetic and understanding. The pricing seems reasonable. I eventually had to bring my cat to get put down and received flowers from them the following day. I thought this was a nice touch .
Amber's annual checkup
When I first got my dog I took him to a vet who gave him shots. Then I took him here because its closer to home. They also gave him shots to which they told me he would not have received yet, well he did so he was double dosed his first year. Money is not the issue but that’s apparently bad for a new puppy. Luckily he was okay, he’s almost 5 now and has been going here ever since!
My dog can be nervous around new people and the staff here is very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend.
If you are looking to get a lot of expensive tests and very little resolution to your pet's problems, then this is the vet for you!
I've been going to Northdale Animal Hospital for 12 years. They served me well with my Schnauzer Mosley They even assisted him over the rainbow bridge when he got sick. I got a new dog six months before Mosley passed away and she was a really good nurse to him. He taught her well to take over. I've had nothing but good things to say about Northdale Animal Hospital. Until now... My dog Bella who helped Mosley in his end years, is sick. When I called Northdale Animal Hospital to see if they would look at her, either tonight or tomorrow as I am a truck driver on the road. They refused me and they refused my dog Bella. I actually feel really hurt over this period. They stood by me all the way until now. Why now? Why would a Veterinarian Service say no to a sick dog? I'm sorry but I'm thoroughly disgusted
Terrible experience here. New to London and vet is near our house, so when it was time for our dog's vaccines we went here. Big mistake. First of all, we did not feel like we were important to them at all. They put my dog and I in the exam room that was freshly painted the night before, and we waited for 10 minutes in the disgusting paint fumes before the vet even came in the room. Then the vet did the quickest exam I have ever seen, and didn't even check for fleas because, and I quote "you gave him revolution this year, so he won't have any fleas" (this is in early Nov, when fleas are still a possibility). I did not want to be pushy, so I didn't say anything about that. Then he proceeded to give the vaccines, and was not even going to tell me what he was giving, until I asked. He told me it was the "usual vaccines" plus lyme and lepto. I asked if he needed all 4 or 5 vaccines, and he said that it "doesn't hurt". He did not say a word to me about if the vaccines cost additional, or ask me if I even WANTED them, he just gave them to my dog. Then when I went to the counter, my bill was almost $200 for only an annual exam and vaccines!! I was APPALLED!! The receptionist just said that the vaccines each cost a fee, and I said well I did not AGREE to even having the extra vaccines and was not told they cost more, why am I being charged for this?! I would NOT have agreed to the extra vaccines if I was given the choice, with or without the extra cost!! I paid the bill because I did not want to make a scene, but the next morning I called and asked to speak with the owner, or the vet and explained to the receptionist (different lady) what had happened, and that my dog was not feeling well after the vaccines. She took my info and said "someone" will call me back. My dog had a horrible reaction to the vaccines and was puking for 2 days, but nobody ever even called me back. Needless to say, I will NEVER go there again, and do not recommend it at all!! Sneaky money-grabbing thieves. They do not care about your pet, only money!
Good value for your pet!
Very helpful explained my opinions...and cost up front.. unfortunately my Rosie ???? passed..the staff was amazing making my grieving experience more pleasant thank you to all the staff ????
We started going to Northdale around 2004 and were always happy with the service. Without fail, the vets we've had here have been wonderful about providing compassionate care, but they also are reasonable and practical. I've never felt guilted into spending more money than necessary, but I've always felt that they prioritize my dog's health. We tried another vet closer to home for a while, but we returned because one of our dogs had become ill and her health was rapidly declining. The "new" vet kept going on about additional testing, and was judgmental when we asked if we should be considering putting her to sleep. At Northdale, the vet we spoke to at the time told us frankly that additional care at that point would prolong her life somewhat but that we would not be able to make her any better, or return her quality of life. With all the information we'd been given, we made the difficult decision to put her down before she suffered any longer. As devastating as that was for us (she was my first dog and I miss her every day), I knew we made the right decision; giving her a peaceful end to her suffering, with us both holding her. I'm eternally grateful to all the Northdale staff for being supportive and patient with us. They were incredibly empathetic and they sent us a beautiful sympathy card and keepsake afterwards. (And because we hadn't wasted our money on futile treatments, we were able to afford to give care to our other dog, who needed expensive dental work.) The other day Dr. Whitehead met our dog for the first time. She could teach a master class in patient care, both with how well she treated our dog, and how well she communicated with me. I was very happy with the visit (so was our schnauzer!). Some vets are, I think, more comfortable with animals than people, but she was equally skilled with both of us. We have consistently great service from the techs and admin people; they are patient and thorough with the billing and payment process. They seem to all enjoy their work and seem to genuinely love their animal clients, and I think that says a lot.
The staff is great and the service is even better. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.
The staff was very friendly and professional and my dog had a very positive experience because they were very patient with her. I highly recommend this vet hospital and their services. They are honest, transparent, and I trust their advice with regards to my dogs dog current and future health.
Been going here for 24 years. Great staff.
I have a very difficult cat. He hates humans, other than those in his household. He was much more relaxed than he's ever been with the staff at, VCA,Northdale Animal Hospital. I highly recommend these guys.
Best place ever they are all super nice and take the time to explain everything there are doing been going there for years and have always had the best experience when we had to put our dog down it was close to closing time but they didn't care let us stay as long as we wanted couldn't believe how compassionate they all were
Best Vet in London hands down
I went to this clinic because it was close to my house and that was a mistake. I took my dog in for an exam and shots on a friday. By sunday we had to rush her to the emergency vet clinic because she was so constipated that she stopped eating and drinking. I think thats sommething that should have been noticed. When paying the emergency vet, the exam fee was only $10 higher than this place which I thought was a little odd. later I went to get the medications that were prescribed refilled and they tried charging $15 more than the emergency vet. I protested and they found a way to lower it a bit. I decided to call around to other vets and see if i could find a better deal. I did. Oxford animal clinic charged $30 less for an exam fee. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere. oh and the vet has a serious odour problem ...
Everyone here is so friendly, and very helpful. They always accommodate as soon as possible, and create a welcoming environment for both pets and pet owners. Prices are reasonable, the doctors offer all possible treatments while still being mindful of cost. My dog actually likes going to the vet's, and gets excited when she realizes where we are. I highly recommend them.
Hands down the best service I've experienced. Our first visit with my 9 year old malamute was last minute and they went to the fullest extent to ensure we got the best quality service. They are extremely kind and gentle. You can tell when a vet kisses your dog, they truly love animals. They followed up to make sure he is okay and as per other vet hospitals, I found the pricing to be fair. We will be using them from now on. Thank you for everything you do!
Very caring staff after losing beloved pet cat.
Always a great experience here
Dr. Whitehead is a very professional, practical & caring vet. I feel lucky to have her. My Jack Russell Terrier gets chronic ear infections and Dr. Whitehead has been always willing to help. The staff is very friendly and the offices are very clean A+
My dog has been going here since i moved to london 3 years ago. I have had nothing but positive things to say about this clinic. My dog can be nervous with going to vets and she took to them right away which is huge for her and huge for me too. My dog was a rescue and it takes her a while generally to trust. The staff here are incredibly compassionate with what they do. Thanks team!
The prices are extremely reasonable. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors are patient, and will answer any questions you have. We brought our large dog there for years and when the time came for that "ultimate decision" were more than compassionate and understanding. Northdale makes the whole trip to the vet a positive experience for ours and your pets too. Major absolutely loved visiting there with no apprehension what so ever when walking thru the front doors. They don't discriminate against dog breeds either. We look forward to many more years there with our new buddy. The Crack Family
I've been attending Northdale since my Poppy (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) was 8 weeks old and she is now it her 12 th year. Dr. Hoover was the Vet at the time but moved up North and Dr. Granite took over. I wouldn't go anywhere but here! Poppy has a heart condition, an enlarged heart, and I don't know how long she has, BREAKS MY HEART! I love her so much!! Dr. Granite took an X-Ray and confirmed. Scooter, my other (CKCS) is a happy brother but he too is getting older (in his 11th year) Love they both so much, like my kids! The staff are always so helpful, compassionate, and friendly!!!!!!! They are terrific! Again, I wouldn't take them anywhere else!
This is my second cat (MIA), and she's getting up there in age, just ont the back part of her rear paw, I would like a knee cap, I noticed a open wound do to the blood on her neck, that is when Mia started to bleed more, and I had call my vet at the Northdale Animal Hospital and got her in there for 1pm, and with the Covid restrictions, I could not got in with Mia, did a blood test and I received the results today Jan 7 2022, all is OK , The vet with concern with her eyes as the pubples would not constrict, I told the they always been like that unless during the summer heat from the sun Mia loves to layout on the balcony and enjoy the warmth, but I give Northdale Animal Hospital Top Marks into looking after Mia. Mia is just a month away from being 16, but we did not count how old she was from the London Humane Society, So I would say Mia is 16.5 years of age, Sorry for making this long, Mia is a family member , Now you know why I gave Northdale Animal Hospital 5 Stars..Michael J
So I have been using Northdale since I got my dog Ludo. Recently broke up with my girlfiend and she denied me access to my dog. Called a cop and finally got to start the pick up. Turned out that she had better documentation than me and she had him chipped in my absence. I called Northdale because they are also her vet for her dog. Talked to Jasmine(receptionist) she told me that she could tell me nothing because of the privacy act. I asked what dogs were attached to my file and she said there were no animals on my file. I said that was peculiar because I was there in January with Ludo for Kennel cough. They chipped my dog and didnt even call me to see if it is legitimate. And then they wiped my file clean of all the visits and shots and everything to cover it up. Be careful with this vet unless you are stealing someones dog. They will chip no questions asked.
I have been taking my 2 dogs here for years. One day after my oldest dog was bit. The staff stayed after hours to help her out. I will never forget that.
My dog (& my sister's dog & cat) have been coming here for over a yr now. Evelyn at reception is always friendly & helpful. The vet techs are all really nice & always very caring w/ our pups! ( Esp after surgery!) They always give them hugs & kisses when they come in. We loved Dr. Whitehead!! She is amazing w/ the animals! She is so gentle w them! She layed on the floor to introduce herself to the pets! Dr. Ron Granite is our usual Dr. He isnt pushy & doesnt overwhelm you w treatment options.
I'm giving one star because I have to ..vet was a joke. Scared of our cat so he didn't do an exam but charged us for it. In total for shots /no exam. $251. Didn't even check her for ear mites. He was rude and a rip off
Dr. Granite and the staff are always caring. Would recommend them
This clinic has some of the best staff we recently had one of our beloved pets put down and cremated and from start to finish there staff was caring considerate and understanding..Very professional.
Great team of professional really good first impression
The people were very nice and location is great
Great service. They really care about the animals. Not the cheapest place to go but you get quality with your money
Expensive..but they take good care of my family member ( pet )
I have mixed feelings about this clinic. They are great when dealing with the animals a 5 star there but they werent very flexible in helping with costs for treatments. They would only tell u about the most expensive option ir just give you the most expensive option failing to realize some of us might be on a budget. Also the guidelines with only 2 people in the xlinic at the same time is frustrating, even with a week notice ahead me and my 1 year old son had to sit on the busy street while they took my dogs in because they couldnt accommodate me and my son even after a weeks notice. Staff are amazing though but this clinic xould definitely use some changes .
Northdale Animal Hospital's vets and reception personnel are very friendly and care about my pet's health and safety. They are very gentle and take very good care of them. I recommend going there for their pet's health and they also give good advise as well.
Dr Inayat is great.
The staff was wonderful and very supportive they really care about the animals well being rather than the costs
