Here you will see all the opinions of real people like you who have information of the services and products of VCA Canada Credit Valley Animal Hospital (Veterinarian) in Argentia (Canada).
Nowadays the firm receives a rating of 4.1 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 121 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is very positive, and it is founded on a very large number of scores, so we can be quite sure that the valuation is quite credible. If people have bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Veterinarian is classified in the category of Veterinarian.
I had never had the best experience of care and professionalism as in this hospital, Dr. Tiffany Rennick an overly professional angel always thinking about the best for our pets, I left happy and safely to return and recommend them to 1000% they give you many options to be accessible to their services without questioning the health of our dogs Infinite thanks Dr. Tiffany Rennick and all the team for amazing experience and day
Expensive
Lucy our kitten has entered the VCA CareClub since we got her. Fantastic program that covers the biggest costs for the kitten her first year for a convenient monthly fee. It includes all the vaccines, chip, exams, nails, neutering etc she needs in her first year. The super kind team at VCA is always ready to advice and help. Great service!
I choose this place because you can genuinely see they love what they do and love your pet like their own. Everyone knows owning a pet and doing all health appointments for them can get quite expensive. That's why they have great packages to help ease your bank account. My puppy hates car rides but gets so excited to see them everytime. I highly recommend them for anyone who really loves their pet and wants what's best for them.
Very nice spacious and clean very friendly staff
After over 20 years of having PetVet Credit Valley look after the health of all my furbabies, and how many thousands of dollars we have paid to them for that care, we are taking our business elsewhere. Somewhere along the line the business philosophy there has changed from the well-being of the animal to the well-being of their bank account. I get that they are a business and are in it to make money, but gouging your loyal clientele is pretty stupid. We paid over $400 for Cooper's annual check up, which didnt even include full vaccines because they finally agreed to follow the rest of the non-greedy veterinary society and go to every 2 years (even though most say 3 years!). Then I get a call a few days later saying they made a mistake and I still owe another $160!! When I questioned it they said it was some visiting vet who forgot to add a charge for blood work that we didn't even ask for! They won't discuss it. They can't see that it's not my mistake to eat. They want their money. So I hope the extra $138 was worth the loss of our future business (a further mistake credited me $27 for medication they didn't give me). We are moving on.
We've been coming here for years. The staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable.
We have been with the same vet clinic for 5 + years. Since day one, I have always felt like I am being sold something. There is an inherent up sell in every conversation you have with staff. I can't blame this clinic for their practices as every vet is the same. The industry needs a watchdog of some sorts to protect clients from being charged excessively. Be wary of placing faith in their recommendations blindly. You always have options.
I’ve been with this clinic since I had pets for over 6 years. Now I decide to move on to another vet. They care about your money way more than your animals. I brought my kitten for the vaccine. For 3 months in a row, every month I paid 100+ for the examination fee plus the vaccine cost. I don’t think it is necessary, it is a money rip. I brought my dog for boarding, they increase the price over 50% without informing me ahead of time. Worst of all, they even charge my 30 pound cocker spaniel as “big heavy breed” for more money. This is the vet you should stay away from.
Having had Dr.B see our animals for the last 10+ years I cant express how grateful we are to have PetVet as our sole care provider for our animals. Being an over-analyzing, stressful mother of 2 very handsome Min Pins Pet Vet always answers all my questions and makes me feel at ease when having any issues or concerns. They say it is very difficult to find great veterinarians and we are truly blessed to have all the staff at Pet Vet always looking after ours, you can truly see that they care and are very passionate about what they do. We recommend them to all of our friends and will continue to do so for many years.
I want to preface and say that all the staff are VERY kind and they were really good with my dog. I would be giving this place five stars if it wasn't for the incident below. First appointment for rabies shot went well and the doctor was very caring. The second appointment was with a groomer, who was also very sweet and mentioned my dog was one of the most pleasant to groom. But we noticed after we picked him up he was sightly limping on his back paw. We figured it was a tiny nick in his paw and assumed it would heal. The next morning we took him to the dog park, and as soon as he started to run, his nail had snapped off and was bleeding. My dogs had never had ANY issues before this groom, or any other groomer for the past 7 years we had taken him. I went in immediately to the vet so they could take care of it. A well priced groom that was at 63 dollars, now ended up costing me a grand total of 230 dollars for an examination, a nail removal and antibiotics. I mentioned that he was problem free before, but the technician just said that was their fee. No sorry, no sympathy. I am very upset and disappointed to see a complete lack of accountability for mistakes they were responsible for. My pet will not be returning.
The best hospital and service
Amazing people...it is always a pleasure dealing with them
Very thoughtful with the care of my puppy, they always follow up.
Have been taking our dog here for about 4 years and they're great ????
Very friendly and clean. Posted a welcome note on their whiteboard for my cats appointment. Waiting area with coffee.
Good job on Zooey's nails.
Great staff. Wonderful and caring vets. The type that makes you come back time and time again
Love the staff here. They are so caring and attentative.
Amazing people that truly care about our pets!
Received great care and follow ups by the lovely staff who took my chihuahua in for an emergency. Very expensive first visit... $1100 for cleaning and closing an abscess, prescribed antibiotics and pain medication, no issues afterward. Would definitely recommend and return if needed, ultimately decided on 4 stars fair based on the hefty price tag attached.
My dog loves the staff. Helpful and friendly staff. Will visit again soon.
Great service, friendly staff - but way to over priced, and they like to add on extra $50 for re- check up's with out informing you.
Great first visit. We took our very fluffy dog in for a grooming session and she came out looking like a show dog. Nikita did a great job with her undercoat. We were very happy with the experience and will be back.
The front staff is friendly but this vet only cares about money, and not your pet! They are extremely over priced, and charge you in advance for follow-up appts. They are always trying to push extra and unnecessary testing, and make you feel horrible when you refuse. Their groomer burned my pet so badly and they wanted to charge me to bring my pet in so the vet could look at the burns! My pet was burned so badly, it got infected within 2 days and had to wear a cone, and use 2 different oinments for 3 weeks. This is just ONE of the issues I've dealt with over the last 2 yrs. Found a new vet, and couldn't be happier. If you care about your animal dont go to this vet.
They really care. Been going here for 15 years
We have been taking our dog to Pet Vet for the last few years but no longer. The first incident was a couple of years ago when we boarded our dog for three days. They had specifically asked for our contact info in case they needed to speak with us while we were away. When we returned from our trip our dog had lost his voice. The female vet told us he barked non stop for three days!!! When we asked what we should do if we ever needed to leave him overnight we were told that there is a $5 spray that will help to relax him. Why on earth did they not call us to ask if we would pay the $5 to help relax our dog. I guess they couldn't be bothered to make the call for $5. Not enough profit in that! The second incident was more recent. We were in for our yearly vaccine appointment. They weighed our dog and he had lost two pounds since last year. Instead of telling us to keep doing what we're doing and perhaps giving us some tips on how to reduce our dogs weight we were given a 20 minute lecture about the fact that our dog is overweight and that they would put our dog on a special plan (which of course means we would buy the dog food from them). This coming from a vet who needs to lose weight himself!!! I'm all for constructive criticism but this was too much. When the receptionist called to schedule the 6 week app's for weigh in I told her that we would not be coming in as well as the reason why. She was immediately offended that I said he should not be LECTURING (for 20 minutes!) pet owners about weight loss when he needs to lose weight himself. When I said I did not want to see that particular vet any longer she told me to let her know where we could send our dogs files and that she would be happy to do that. These people don't care about our animals they care about the MONEY they're taking from us. Their egos are so inflated that they can't take criticism themselves. I noticed on our receipt when we were on our way home from the app that they included a free nail trim with that visit. At no time were my dogs nails trimmed nor was there any reference made to him coming at another time to trim them. As I said. They care about the money and not our pets.
Found this vet clinic to be an inviting and quiet location with lots of parking . Recently took my kitten for a wellness examination, good doctor as well and welcoming staff!!
On Wednesday I had to bring my cat Buster to the Vets. He was showing the same symptoms as his brother Bradley who had passed away nine months previous while waiting in the waiting room to see the Vet. After a long discussion with the Vet I had decided the best course of action for Buster was euthanasia. This was supported by the Vetranarian although at the time I was not sure of what the opinion of the staff member was. The staff member accept my payment for the procedure and ask if I would like to have Busters ashes return to me. I asked her if she could instead release Buster's ashes on the grounds in the same location as his brother Bradley's. She acknowledge my request and left the room. After another long goodbye I knew I had to go before I lost it and left the room. While leaving the building I passed bye the same staff member who said to me that I "Enjoy the rest of my day." ???
THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR animal they only care about money!!!!! do not go to dr renick!!!! this is the worse vet clinic I've ever seen and they treated my dog like a wild animal because they didn't like his breed! sorry excuse for a vet. if you want your dog treated right do not go here!!!!!
Great vets office staff is super sweet and love how Dr.B took time to comfort my puppy before he did anything. Also like how they have xray , surgery and grooming and boarding all on site. Prices are not that crazy either.
Even though we live in the city, we could not let go of this hospital for our 3 year old shi-tzu. He is always cared for and the staff is pleasant to deal with. The experience is not just a transaction.
the ownership has changed many times over the last 20 years. they seemed caring enough. they called to ask if my cat had improved 2 days later.
Great staff, knowledgable and my pet trusts them which is important. He's always excited to go to the vet
So friendly...we can feel the love as well as our beloved pets ????
The staff and vets are so friendly and thorough here. They've always taken great care of my cat when she's staying overnight or if she's being checked out or treated.
They're careful and caring we trust them with our three cats and trust their direction. We've taken our pets there for nearly 15 years now.
Im disgusted!! I went here for the first 8 yrs of my dobermans life and they had no problem over billing me for time, now my dog needs help and dr bissonette wont even give me 2 minutes of his time without billing me! These people care nothing about your animals, only money go elsewhere
I've been going to this clinic for many years. The vets are very professional and really care about your pets. The staff are top notch and also share the same level of care and professionalism as the veterinarians.
Stopped going here a while ago. Overnight the focus changed from caring about pets to caring about emptying wallets.
Great place to take your pets. Been a client for 20 + years. They explain things well and they are willing to listen to your specific circumstance. Thank you
My family&I took our golden retriever here 13 years ago for all vaccines & neutering, we recently put him down (not with them) and his ashes were sent there in October 2020 (Nothing was ever said to us when we picked up his ashes). Fast forward to now, my mom called to make appointments for our new puppy and they said we owed money from our golden but wouldn’t tell my mom what for, was told the manager would call us on the Monday, they called and still refused to tell us what we owed the $80 for. When my mom asked for paperwork of what we paid the $80 they said “we don't keep files past 7 years” but we were told the “$80” was from when he was 3 which would now be 10 years ago. My mom called repeatedly for a receipt and was told she couldn’t get one. Safe to say we will not be taking our new dog here.
I have been going to Petvet since 1998 when I got fed up with huge vets bills with no warning. I love the staff and they have looked after all of my pets with caring and compassion over the years. I like the fact that I always get an estimate of how much the treatment will be cost from best to worst case scenario . I can look at the tests and question which ones are absolutely essential. I gives me control over what is being done. I do not find them that much more expensive than elsewhere and like the fact that I know up front what the cost will be. I have always found them to come in on the low end of the estimate. They do charge ahead for a follow up as people tend not to take their pets back but you ask for that to be amended if you do not feel a follow up necessary.
No idea if this business is still owned by the same people. A number of years ago this used to be our vet... until one time they said our dog had to be kept there overnight for observation (he was bitten by our neighbour's dog). The next day when we went to pick him up, we found out that not one employee stays there overnight. They also charged a very expensive bill for locking my dog in a cage alone all night, with no one watching him. There are way better 24 hour animal hospitals in Mississauga, with vets who actually stay there all night watching their patients... I've used two recently.
I have been taking my dogs to this vet clinic for a long time and they always have been amazing! The ladies in the front desk, the doctors, the whole staff - everyone always gave the best treatment to our family (humans and pets).
Friendly staff bit of a wait time even with an appointment
VCA always has my dogs food in stock, it is very convenient to grab his food from this location however, his doctor who we trust and he is very comfortable with is located at another clinic. Today I called ahead to grab his food like I usually do every 2-4 weeks. They mentioned they only had one case of his canned food which they kindly put aside for me. When I went in to pick it up an hour later I saw another case of his food so I was going to grab it until the receptionist mentioned “i am not allowed to sell that to you due to the low stock” I said “no problem there is still two cases on the shelf is it okay if I take one more so I don’t come back in 12 days” she said “we need to keep stock for our actual clients”….. I responded “actual clients? I spend $200 here every 2-4 weeks” I understand what she was trying to say, they had low inventory and needed to keep stocked up I already had a case for my dog so I was happy with that. Her words “actual client” just really upset me as this is a veterinarian hospital. My dog has not needed surgery or emergency care. Is this what would deem me as an “actual client” because that does not change the fact that I still spend a lot of money there periodically. Customer service… please understand the wording of everything you say because one thing (actual client) can make a sentence sounds completely insulting and disrespectful.
Transferred from Stoney Creek Eastside to Petvet Credit Valley. Great service at both locations for the past 4 years. Highly recommended!
They are very friendly and take great care of your furbabies
no just no
Helpful Staff!!
Excellent facility for quality pet attention.
Always a good experience
They have late appointments during the week...staff are excellent and caring.
Staff and docs on site were great and friendly
horrible is the only word to describe this place
Fantastic!!!!!! Staff is Awesome !!! All of them Especially Hazel, strongly recommend for Grooming.
They take great care of my 2 cats. Can't ask for better service.
My dogs love going to the vet here. Always great service and good people.
I have been taking my dog here for over 7 years. I can't even imagine going somewhere else. They have the same staff with occasional new staff added. It is a one location that does everything. Hospital, regular vet visits, grooming and boarding. What else can you ask for. Awesome.
Good place to have your pet to look after.
Used to be good, but the good vets left. I think its been sold to a conglomerate who's in it for the money, not for the service. We switched vets.
Pricey but always have the best service and recommendations for our pet
Had to pick up some dog food. I told them the wrong brand on the phone. They were very nice, no issues, gave me the right brand and even suggested a website to save money. Good people.
They don't care about your pet, they only care about $$$. The "good" reviews are either fake or years ago. Would never recommend. Not even worth 1 star.
We had to put our dear cat sparky down after 19 years. They were very caring understanding and compassionate. They even sent a card to us with staff condolences.
VCA clinic is amazing. I feel that they genuinely care about my dog Coco and I completely trust them with him. They are courteous and professional. Also, they’re incredibly hardworking! They always seem to be so busy but never make you feel like they are rushing you. I brought Coco here on the recommendation of the breeder.
Great staff
Overselling unnecessary tests. Staff still treats us with respect and care.
Staff are great my dog keep telling good things about them ????
I have always been happy with the care and service we have received. I am particularly thankful for our most recent visit. After taking the necessary precautions (Covid 19), my wife and I were allowed to come in the office to the room they have to be with our cat in her final moments. After talking to a co-worker in the same situation, I discovered that not all vets are as accommodating. We also received a follow up call to see how we were doing. THANK YOU!!!!!!
The nursing staff is amazing the vets can be hit and miss they are there to make money sometimes and will perform some unnecessary testing or procedures. I have had really great vets some times and shut ones the next. Been taking my cats there for over 20 years. There end of life service is very respectful and affordable.
Amazing customer service, guess how fast? like it was _ _ _ _ _ FAST! Very polite and soft spoken representatives. The veterinarian was very thorough and Canadian people are nice in general. Thanks guys ! You guys rock!
Best Animal hospital i know ! The staff if very loving and caring with the animals, the receptionists are very polite and are always willing to help! The doctors are very patient, kind and always willing to explain anything that i didnt understand. I love this location they always make me feel welcomed and i know my pets in good hands when i come here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of a vet :)
Very caring towards your family pets. Great group of people.
Very clean clinic, great staff.
We've been taking our kitties here for over 10 years and 2 of our neighbours have switched to them too because of their service and caring.
Been taking my animals to pet vet for 8 years. The staff are extremely knowledgable and such a fun bunch. My dogs love going there! I recently added a new puppy to my brood. The puppy plan makes it very affordable. I love the fact that it`s one stop shopping. The groomers are great, the kennel staff are fantastic, the doctors are wonderful and everyone makes such a fuss of my babies. I highly recommend this place!
Great staff
