As new dog owners, my family and I were a bit nervous taking our boy, Ryder, to get his first shots. Upon entering the hospital, we were greeted with a wonderfully pleasant environment that made Ryder feel right at home. One of the nurses weighed him while we waited for our appointment to begin. Dr. Forsyth entered the room giving off a very positive vibe that made Ryder instantly attracted to him. He conducted all the procedures in a quick, professional and pain-free manner while keeping Ryder happy and calm the entire time. Dr. Forsyth then took at least half an hour to take any questions or concerns we may have had surrounding our boy. We would like to thank all the staff at the Como Lake Animal Hospital for making our first experience enjoyable and memorable! We highly recommend you look into this hospital for your next appointment. We could not think to go anywhere else and can guarantee Ryder will be a loyal patient for years to come!

I have owned dogs my whole life.New to the immediate area I chose Como Lake for convenience.Prior to that dogs had great care but was a bit far away to walk dogs to.Before that Dr.Lam on Austin passed so there was no real option availible.Front staff and Vet is great with my 2 old rescue dogs.No pressure.Like all pet care providers it's a business.First visits I come armed with food and other information about what I know.The vet made a good recommendation about care.

I can't say enough about the staff at Como Lake. Everything from the end of life for one of my cats a few years ago, to the medical needs and dental care of my other cat. They are kind, professional & sensitive to the needs of not only the pets but the humans as well. I've had experience with a few different offices and this one is by far the best. I am a very dog savvy `mom` and will always try to problem solve on my own before heading for a vet, but when I come up with situations that are beyond my experience level I know now with absolute certainty that Andy or Tracey will get the answer and resolve whatever issues I put in front of them. Imagine our human doctor easily spending half an hour per visit making sure they understand fully all details, check your dog from one end to the other, sit on the floor (that`s Tracey!) and just talk until we`ve come up with the best methods to use. I have never been disappointed with results and fully recommend them to everyone I know. Just referred them this morning to a golden and her dad. The only thing I`d change is to not constantly be directed to products on their shelves as the best options for various ailments. This must be a real revenue generator to be pushed so hard! I`m a believer in raw food diets and nothing in a can or bag will come into my home. Many thanks for the sincere efforts you both give to my furry kids - and how good to know you`re there when we need you!

Very kind and friendly to pets; they give my dog a treat each time so he gets excited whenever we go there! Always able to book appointment with not too much of a wait time and they are usually punctual on the day. Only complaint is that they automatically add the Kennel Cough immunization to the list of annual injections - each year I have to say I don't want it (wouldn't be an issue if using daycare/boarding). Would recommend this veterinarian practice.

We celebrated National Cat Day today by taking our two cats Lucky and Tucker for their annual check up and vaccinations with Dr. Andrew Forsyth. Both cats are now 9 years old and are have been receiving excellent care from Andrew and his wife Dr. Tracy Forsyth since they were kittens. Dr. Forsyth takes the time to listen to our concerns and when a health issue does crop up provides a clear diagnosis and treatment options. He is a very knowledgeable veterinarian and I'm confident that Lucky and Tucker receive the best care possible at Como Lake Animal Hospital. Happy National Cat Day!!

It's my first visit to Como Lake Vet Hospital, I had a superb experience. Every staff is friendly and informative from receptionists to doctors. My cat was very nervous yet Dr. Tracy was absolutely phenomenal. She took great care after him, very thorough and patient with all the process I need help with. I love how every staff is friendly and caring here. I really wish I've found this hospital years earlier. Absolutely trust them with my pet.

Had my cat Rainbow checked out her health condition. I was asking if Rainbow needs a debug injection, the doctor actually told me not necessarily if she stays indoor. Not like the other Vet i went which sent out email reminder asking me to take my cat to do the debug shot. They do care about the animals, not the money. good doctor

I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank all of the staff and especially Andy and Tracy Forsythe at Como Lake Vet clinic. They have been taking care of our 2 boxers for the last 9 years from regular check ups to a major knee surgery. It starts with staff, you walk in and everyone at the front makes your pet feel special and are very sociable with you. The Forsythes are not just our vets they have become friends. You come in for your check up and it more often than not turns into a social visit at the end. It's because they really care about your pet and you. If you are just getting a new pet or are looking for the best care you can get I would strongly recommend calling them asap. Steve Stojak

been a customer for years and have not been very impressed with our last few visits. On our very last attempt to receive treatment because our dogs ears seemed quite infected they wouldn’t even book her an appointment. They asked us to send pictures, which we did, then they just didn’t respond. The seeming infection got worse over the next few days so I called back. They said they wouldn’t be able to get her in for another 3 days. Obviously I found a different vet who saw us that day and prescribed medication immediately. Needless to say we will not be going back to this clinic.

We have been going to Como Lake Veterinary Hospital since 1993. Andy and Tracy Forsyth supported us through the trials and tribulations of being first time dog owners. After all these years we continue to receive excellent care and attention. Our recent visit was with Andy, as always, he takes his time with us and patiently waits for our sometimes timid dog to feel more relaxed.

When I first got my kittens I was going to a vet out in surrey who my cats disposed and I started hearing horror stories about so I immediately stopped going there desperate to find a vet I started looking around my area and decided to give Como lake vet a hospital and since then I have never left My cats did an immediate 360 personality change instead of fearing the bet they were calm and willing to be treated they curled up in the vets arms purring and calm they where and are amazing numerous of times I would panic freak out because of something my cat did or appeared to have and I would call them and they would calm me down and help me out I still have my two cats and now 2 puppies who I have only brought there and its just amazing how well the staff there are with my animals my animals never freak out about the vet like normal animals do but instead treat it like they are going to see a friend my dogs literally jump up and kiss the doctors and refuse leaving them It might be pricy like I'm always saying to people but its well worth it you can't put a price on your pets health and these vets are well worth their price

I dont trust many vets with my dog. But when Bear was in pain from his hip dysplasia, VCA Como Lake took excellent care of Bear. Set up a good treatment plan and cost effective as well. Highly reccomend

Brought my 19 year old cat in because they were close to my new location and had decent reviews. She was el constipato when I brought her in, we also discovered she has early kidney disease. The vets here are so thorough with their knowledge, and gave me all the resources and information I needed. Not only that, but they phoned to see how my cat was doing and asked me to bring her in for a free weigh-in so we could adjust her medicine. I've received two phone calls from the vet simply asking how thing are going, and she even answered my questions over the phone! I'm struggling a little to afford everything, but it turned out there was a donation bottle of the medicine my cat needed and it saved me a ton of money. They aren't pushy with prices and tests, they're fair, understanding , and compassionate. Thanks como lake vet!

Everyone is really great there. I wouldn't trust my dogs with any other Clinic. They're very good to try and work with you as they are aware it can get very expensive taking your pets to the vet. For most of us our pets are our fur babies and their first concern is the Health and Welfare of the animal

After many years of being a client of como lake vet I am very disappointed with their lack of care and diagnosis of my pet. After only being diagosed with diabetes for only 3 weeks I am saddened to say that our beloved pet has pasted away. Missed treatment and lack of testing lead to my dog death. Please make sure you are well informed of all diagnoses before going to this vet. I highly recommend picking a different vet as their is many others in this area that will take better care of your pet.

Dr. Tracy and the staff at Como Lake are absolutely fantastic! They truly care about their patients and how to get them feeling better. Its been a long road with a cat with hyper thyroid and a dog who, well gets into everything and they have seen us through it all. We will truly miss them as we'r moving to Mission and we can only hope that we will find another vet and staff that are so loving and caring of the animals in their charge. If I could give them a 10 I would!

This vet has gone way downhill the last couple years and is not the great clinic it once was. I took my animals here for years and always got great service and care. Now I can't even get in to see a vet and the rare time I can get in the level of care is not the same. I understand all vets are busy these days but they don't seem to be able to mange the clients they have and just tell you to book somewhere else. So we did. We switched to a new vet and are much happier.

The care is good But they quote you a price on the way in then afterwards they stick you with a double bill Then they make you feel guilty if you have any comments regarding the extra charge They should be honest up front and not tell there staff to lie about the cost to get you in the door I understand there is no limit to the money tour pet is worth BUT they also should be more diligent toward peoples budget If they really cared about peoples pets they would not use that approach
