The staff at torbay road animal hospital are so kind and helpful!! My Kitten got spayed yesterday and they were so helpful going over all information with me and even sent me a text message making sure I understood everything and to give them a call if anything concerns me!! They also called me today just to check in on her !! They are so helpful with everything !! Highly recommended this facility for your little fur babies !!

Once I noticed something not quite right with my cat, Luna, I knew she required immediate medical attention. We called this location to see if anything can be done for us and they booked us an appointment only a few hours later. The staff was very comforting, efficient, and friendly. I knew Luna was in good hands and would get all the care she needed. I was asked permission before any procedures and everything was described to me so it was easy to comprehend. She’s much more comfortable and she now has all the materials to make for a safe and healthy recovery thanks to the Torbay Road Animal Hospital.

We rescued our boy in Ontario, and he came from the Cayman Islands. From living in our university town, to back to our hometown, and then all the way to Newfoundland, we have never had a more caring team look after our boy. We have been to 6 different vets over the years and the torbay animal hospital takes the top spot by far. When I had my first appointment there, the vet was so patient with me and talked to me for a really long time answering all my questions. I didn’t feel rushed, and I felt like my concerns were actually being heard. They told me the cheapest and most effective way to go about treating our dog, and didn’t seem to be out for more money. We ended up needing to schedule a dental surgery, and was giving our quote. We prepared for the amount, and when it was all said and done the cost was much lower than expected. Instead of lowballing and then shocking you with a high price, they prepare you for worst case so there’s no secretive stuff going on. I can’t thank the team enough for what they did for Roly, because he seems to be way happier with the changes that have been made. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

I took my small dog here when she had polyp that became swollen and infected. The staff were friendly and they ran a full blood workup and prescribed 2 creams. Then they asked for my insurance number and when I said I did not have insurance they were surprised, seems it had been recorded wrong when I booked the appointment or somewhere in-between, I'm not sure, but they we're sure I had said I had insurance. A simple miscommunication, but I was then passed a bill for $500 (we had been in the clinic 30 min). Shocked I asked why it was so much and the told me the bloodwork was $300! I was very upset as I could clearly see she had an infection and I was not consulted before they started ringing up the bill. I will note this was summer 2021, I was presently looking for a new vet clinic to take my dog too when I realized I hadn't posted my review.

Really good ????service. You can book an appointment or walk-in with your pet. They are open Monday to Thursdays 8 to 8 Friday 8 to 6 and Saturday 9 to 1.

The first time I went there everything went well. I had to wait longer for my appointment because they had a emergency. But, they apologize and give me a bag of treats for my cat. Last time, the service was not pleasant. The reception was not really friendly. No smiles and no particular attention for their costumers. I finish my appointment and went to see the woman to pay my bill. She answer me and answer her phone imediatly after. She stay on her phone for 10 minutes and the other receptionist completely ignore me. I had to wait over 15 minutes to pay a vet bill. I received the service I need it for my animals, but I will need go there anymore. I'm really unplease be the costumer service.

i've been there many times, the staff are friendly and helpful. The last time i was there the vet was falling behind, that can't be helped sometimes. She wondered if my cat had an ear infection, so she sent away bacteria cultures regarding the ear. She was going to look in his ear too which probably wouldve also been helpful, but i think she forgot. I forgot to remind her too lol, so i may have to mention it when i call. but the vet really seemed to care, which was most important!

She’s been doing so great, they were mindful of my financials and didn’t put any pressure on me to get any “extras” at all. Made me aware of the exact costs involved and were mindful of my cats personality, and how she would react to anything or strangers. Thank you guys so much. Not very impressed today to say the least, I cancelled an appt last week and rescheduled it for this week, the hospital had plenty of notice to have my cat's treatment on hand, and I get there, sit and wait for 20 minutes in my car only for them to call me saying they don't have enough of his treatment on hand to give him, and now I have to be inconvenienced by trying to get him in his carrier again and come back tomorrow..not happy at all, these are thinks that should be kept track of and known prior to the appointment as far as I'm concerned..I usually don't have any issues but today was not a good example..

I had to bring my newly adopted cat to the vet today. Dr. Shea was so helpful and patient with my cat. I have only had her for 3 weeks so I really felt bad putting her back in the carrier to take to the vet but she was so good and did not seem to mind being treated. I love going to this vet clinic, everyone is so kind and caring, feel so lucky that it is only 5 minutes from my neighbourhood.

I recently took my 10 week old puppy here for his first shots and Dr. Stefanelli was awesome, as was the vet assistant that brought us into the room (I can't remember her name, sorry). Everyone here is so respectful and professional and took great care of Toby. They made sure he was comfortable before giving him his vaccines. It's hard trying to find a professional animal hospital where animal care is their top priority, and I am over the moon that I found this place for Toby's future care. All of my questions were answered in an understanding way. I 10/10 recommend this hospital for anyone looking around. We will definitely be back! :)

I brought Molly there to be checked I knew there was something the matter with her and, her usual place to go is Sunrise but I needed her to be looked at sooner than later. The staff was very professional and kind, and Dr. Paul Rubinstein was awesome with Molly. He did the examination and had bloodwork done on her and explained everything to me. I was very appreciative that he called the following night to see how Molly was and ask if I had any questions. I would recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone needing their services.

The service is excellent, you rarely have to wait when you have an appointment and the staff is both knowledgeable and caring. We love the follow up calls on our pups as well. The staff at this clinic were very kind to me when I had to say goodbye to my cat who I had for years, it broke my heart and I cried like a baby. The doctor who spoke to me was very kind and understanding. A beautiful soul indeed. The only thing I had a problem with was the mask wearing. A total shame, they have no idea what the masks are doing to their lungs and gums and brain tissue. There is no virus there never was, wake up people. They are lying to us about everything. When people start dying this winter because of the so called vaccination, the media will tell us its the variant. This part of the depopulation agenda. Thank you Ken

I saw a few negative comments on here, so I just wanted to put in my comments. I have owned Cats and dogs for the last 20+ years. I have dealt with good and bad vets both. I found the veterinarian here one of the great vets. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, loved the dog, the dog responded positively to the vet. He didn’t put us through any unnecessary charges or unnecessary stress on our dog. He done just what he needed to do and nothing more. He was there for the health and safety of our dog which was obvious, not there to just make money. It was obvious he loves the animals and his job. We will certainly go back and certainly recommend to anyone looking for a vet. I congratulate you guys on great customer service. The front staff were just lovely to deal with, and also very knowledgeable. Easy to tell they have lots of experience. I actually lost a beloved dog a couple years ago, because of a vet on the west coast trying to take a short cut on a weekend so they could put surgery off til regular working hours. Believe me when I say, now I am extremely particular over who our vets are. I also listen to what my pooch thinks ☺️

He was thorough and took the time to explain what might be happening with our dog medically and the diagnostic and treatment options going forward. And, icing on the cake, he's open to integrative and holistic approaches to veterinary care. So pleased!
