We are very happy with Dr. Mckeown and Topsail road vet for both our rescue dog and cat! During COVID you pass your pet off to them and then talk to the vet over the phone. They are patient and happy to hear all of our questions! Highly recommend, and if you are in St. John's it is worth the drive!

You did a fantastic job from the moment we arrived. Denise came out and welcomed us and Nyxe was weighed and we went in for an explanation of the procedure. When I picked her up everything was explained from the medications to what to look for in the healing process. I had a follow up call to check on Nyxe a day after surgery. All went extremely fine. Hands down the best bet clinic I've dealt with in the past 14 years.others seem to charge for extra stuff that's not needed,ie. Preventative meds. This place give you all of the options and price medications and services reasonably.

Everyone was so great. We had just switched to this clinic, and it was Monster's first time here. He can be a little jumpy and the reason I brought him was due to nausea while travelling. He had a little accident but when he came out, he wasn't distressed and completely clean. They understood exactly what I needed and i'm happy to bring my other cat there for a checkup soon!

I have used Topsail Rd for my 2 dauschounds for a very long time. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. McKeown is awesome.she treats both my dauschounds like she would her own. And will explain ever thing . Last visit my Archie was seen by Dr. Power and she was also very thorough and caring. The Vet assistants and other staff are very friendly as well. I highly recommend this Veterinary for all your fury children.

Dr. Courtney Veitch, the veterinary techicians, and support staff always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and like your pet *child* is treated extra special (as if he were their own). They always take such good care of our Eddy, carefully explaining any issues, providing solutions and suggestions for his optimial health as he ages into his senior years. Eddy had surgery back in 2019 and the staff called, updated us and texted pictures of our boy. Their attentiveness did not AND has not gone unnoticed, it is always appreciated and very comforting when dealing with the health of a very special loved furry family member.

I really don't see how you can improve the service offered at this vet clinic. All of the staff are friendly, competent, dedicated and efficient. Samantha has been to this clinic on numerous occasions and still gets excited when we turn onto their parking lot. That alone says a whole bunch about the staff and the treatment she has received there.

I adopted a dog "Teddy" 3 years ago and decided to bring him to Dr. Veitch at Topsail Road Veterinary Clinic because my Sister took her dog there as well and had wonderful things to say about Dr. Veitch and the staff. The care, compassion and professionalism displayed by the entire staff is second to none. From the moment you walk through the door, you are treated like family. Recently, Teddy got loose and was hit by a car. I rushed him to the clinic and they looked after him immediately and was so kind and reassuring to me and my young Son. Teddy was ok, thank goodness. I highly recommend this clinic.

We carried our dog to the clinic knowing clearly the cost! However that was not the issue. We waited 8 hrs and nothing done. Our dog was prescribed pain meds but no X-ray or blood work or anything actual check. We were told to take her to a vet in the morning which we did in CBS within 20 minutes into the visit the Dr told use that she needed to do blood work and X-rays as within the first minute she checked Holly and found a lump on her front shoulder and stated it maybe cancer or maybe a infection! It turned out to be a infection! Again as a dog owner for many many years the service at the clinic was quite poor the staff were indeed friendly but the service we received was quite poor. They have been remarkable throughout my cat's adult life, very specific in their testing and always finding the right solution to his ailments, never performing unnecessary procedures. Preventative care is excellent. Surgery there was precise and aftercare exceptional. Chronic care exceptionally supportive. Palliative care incredibly compassionate and supportive. Very professional, caring clinic staff. We have never had a better cat vet than Dr. Veitch. This clinic has you covered from kittens to senior cats.

I had my Precious Fur Baby to see Dr Courtney Veitch yesterday. It was such a wonderful feeling to know that he was going to receive the best care and be loved during the procedure. My kitty is fine, just something minor. The staff there are great and are also pet lovers. I know a lot of people are making bad comment about the emergency clinic in the building next to it, but I want to let people know that the emergency clinic is not owned by Dr Veitch and is a separate business. Vet won't call you back without you spending money! They could have the information to save your pets life, and unless you get overcharged and pay them money, they could care less. Seems like secretary is afraid to ask the vet to do anything that could lead to new clients and extra money, instead cowers and makes excuses

I switched to them after one of my dogs died. They stepped up to help store her body over the long weekend till she could go to the crematorium. Since then I have been using them for my other dog. Very helpful and informative with our dog Jessie on all of her treatments. Jessie was recently spayed and I felt very comfortable leaving her in the hands of staff for her surgery. They let the me know what will happen, how to treat and care for her after surgery and a follow up with a call to see how she is doing once she was at home. The pre surgery and after surgery consults will help any pet owner know exactly what their pet will be going through. Very reasonable priced as well. Highly recommend.

Doctor Power is a world class vet and has always gone above and beyond for my rescue dog, Lucky.
