It’s been two months since I’ve got my pup home and I must say, having Dr. Chishti has been the biggest blessing. On multiple occasions Doctor has made himself available to treat my puppy, be it during work hours or even recently in an emergency post working hours. Dr. Chishti and his team are so warm & cordial and provide utmost care to your pet friend just as you would. The team including Doctor himself frequently follow up on the well-being of my pup and that’s what comforts me the most. It’s always nice to know that my pup has a medical team watching out for her and it’s extremely comforting as an owner to have a team this professionally sound to back me through my journey of being a new pet mom. My experience has been the best and if there’s someone I can blindly trust with the well-being of my pup, it would be Dr. Chisthi. Thank you so much!!!

I have had nothing but positive experiences here! The facility is always clean and very well kept. They have in house blood work and x ray machines that have always allowed for us to find out what's going on with our young pup within minutes! As for the staff, both the doctors and the vet techs have been nothing but compassionate to my family and I. My dog has skin issues as well as a sensitive stomach, and after having him treated here multiple times, I can definitely say that there is no other clinic I would trust with my boy other than Eglinton Mavis Vet Hospital.

Definitely the best vet we've found. We have two two-year-old Great Danes. It's hard to find a good vet and vet techs that can actually handle Great Danes and are familiar with the breed and their health issues. Dr. G was the first one we found (and we shopped around a lot) that hit all of these points for us. The dogs love him, and all the techs! Our boy had a particularly tough neutering on account of him being so large. The healing process was taking a very long time because just sitting down was a challenge. Dr. G continued to see him multiple times a week to ensure that everything was going smoothly even taking him in for overnight observation on at least one occasion. We've seen many vets over the years but Dr. G and his team at Eglinton Mavis Veterinary are the only ones we've recommend to other dog/Great Danes owners.

Hands in your pockets. I am heart broken to read reviews similar to my experience, I have been going to this vet since I had my 2 cats (approx 6 years) they tried to hustle me to pay for extensive testing and tried to scare me into thinking my cat had a tumour. He does not, he was suffering from an allergic reaction. They wanted to sedate him and do a procedure with a biopsy for the testing which was close to $900. I chose not to sedate my cat and they sent me home with a $300 bill, some antibiotics and gave my boy Loki a shot for the allergies. Thankfully my friend who is a vet in Oakville was advising me as well and she agreed that the clinic should not have had such an extreme reaction, she suggested some blood work should have been suggested before any procedures. In my experience, they prey on distressed pet owners, this happened to me once before as well about 1 year ago. Loki had a bad hairball and it scared me. Dr. G gave me the same song and dance saying it could be something serious and we should do all this testing. I came back thinking it was a one time thing, but they did it again. After reading the reviews, I wonder if Loki even saw Dr. G, considering I was not able to go in with him due to covid-19. I am not sure what happened to this clinic but major disappointment.

The staff and the Doctors here are absolutely marvellous. They’ve taken care of my kitten since the day I brought him home - they are extremely kind, responsive, and very helpful. I trusted them to neuter my cat, do his checkups, and give him his shots. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my pet, they’ve become like family taking care of my little guy.

I met with Dr. Gobriel on the afternoon that I needed my chinchilla looked at and he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. It wasn't the easiest of situations but he was able to take care of the procedure immediately and provided instructions with detail and care. He made sure to explain the post-procedure items to ensure there were no misunderstandings and made the best of the situation. I would certainly recommend this veterinarian to anyone for regular check ups or special procedures, and he is one of the few in Mississauga that looks at exotic pets. Thanks Dr. Gobriel!

I called on Saturday night at around 11am since my 12 year old doberman was dying, and the vet said he would be there in 20 minutes and he come in 20 minutes with his assistant. He was very professional and euthanized my dog in a peaceful manner and did not rush us to say goodbye to our little friend even though it was late at night. The price was high at first but they were fair and worked out a fair deal for us since we were students and couldn't afford some of the high costs. Thank you for your help in this difficult time.

He only runs tests when really needed for the well being of my pet, and he takes the time to explain the pros and cons of the procedure. Staff is very friendly, the facilities are nice, however I paid way too much for an ear infection checkup - over twice (literally!) what I'd normally pay at my previous vet before I moved to Mississauga from Markham. After about a year of taking my dog there, I have switched to another clinic where the staff was also friendly, and they did so much more for my aging pug - they've checked/fixed his infected broken nail, skin condition and ear infection - and charged me 90 dollars less! I'd recommend Eglinton Mavis Animal Hospital to review their pricing to be compatible with other clinics.

Don’t be fooled by the very few low-baller reviews which I find disconcerting as I have had nothing but a perfect experience at this clinic. I got Nelly’s shots and spay done here and the staff were so kind and patient. You can feel the love. Even for a shot, the vet gave a thorugh checkup. The spay was done perfectly and the whole process was easily explained to me. The techs there are sweethearts! Dr. Gobriel is a gem as well as the female vet whose name I cannot recall. At the end of each visit, I always got a follow up email or call about how Nelly was doing. That shows commitment and care in what they do! I love that follow-up touch. I got a nice welcome package with goodies and useful docs when Nelly got her first shot. Thanks guys!

Absolutely loved the service here, they were more than accommodating. The pups were comfortable with the staff and vet, as they were so gentle with them. They don't pressure you into getting things you don't need, very fair and reasonable priced. Definitely recommended to anyone who is searching for a veterinarian who genuinely cares about animals. This is a great clinic. I ended up calling them after hours, as my dog had been scooting her bum on the carpet and when I noticed blood and pus all over my carpet I knew she needed to be seen immediately and it couldn't wait till the morning. During the appointment they explained what had happened and what needed to be done in great detail. The service that we got that night was above and beyond and they were polite and professional. The BEST Veterinary Hospital in the West!! My 5 month old kitten ate something he shouldn't have and needed to be hospitalized for 3 days. Dr. G and his team worked diligently and monitored him with their proactive approach. Luckily no surgery was required. Thank you to Dr. G and his team-Jill, Deanna Maya and the volunteers who helped to take such fantastic care of Hendrix. You provide EXCELLENT care!! Forever grateful.

April 8 2014 my 21lb dog Tonic was viciously attacked by a Great Dane and Akita who lived in the same building as us. My friend who was on the phone with me during the attack found Dr.Gobriels number and contacted him, I was frantic and completely freaking out, Tonic was alive but he was badly hurt. I wasn't sure if he would survive. It was after hours when the attack happen, and the clinic was closed. Dr.Gobriel and one of the staff members arrived to the hospital within mins of getting the call from my friend. The Doc was so calming and relaxed, he tried to help me calm down but it was very hard. Tonic was bleeding so much and shaking so hard and panting so hard, we both were so scared. The assistant that was there with him was also so friendly and calming, it took a while but at some point I was able to stop crying and listen to their information. They took Tonic and advised me the surgery would take approx. 2hrs and that I should go home and wait for them to call me to know when I can come back and pick Tonic up. It was hard to leave but from the moment I met the Doc and stepped into the office I knew I could trust them. Tonic underwent surgery which ended around 1am, the Doc and his assistant explained everything to me in simple terms and the Doc assured me that if I needed him at anytime he was available, and he definitely was from late night/early morning phone calls, to emails and text messages, I was always able to get an answer. The attack happened on a Tuesday, Tonic revisited the Doc on the Friday and by Monday he had to be admitted because of a very bad infection he got during the attack. During this time was one of the most difficult things I had ever experienced and my son who was 3 at the time was also finding it very hard to deal with and not to mention Tonic who after all that trauma now had to spend nights away from me while he stayed at the hospital on a IV to fight the infection and save his life. Dr. Gobriel and his staff made it so that I never had to worry. Tonic stayed at the hospital for 13 days, I was able to visit Tonic daily and even bring my son as well. Dr. Gobriel will be Tonics vet permanently. They saved his life and there aren't many words that can express how grateful I am. The Doc and his staff always make me smile they are always happy and they treat me and Tonic like family. Everyone at EMVH is amazing, and the crazy thing is, they treat all the animals and pet owners the same way they treat me and Tonic, great, with respect, they show empathy, understanding and they're goal is your goal; to help our beloved pet family members, be their best. Tonic is much better now and I have Dr. Gobriel and his staff to thank for that. Tonic just turned 5 July 2014 we've been to a few vets since his birth and I must say EMVH have been the best.

We called to make an appointment and let the front desk know that we had a cat that didn't enjoy visits at the vet and it was difficult to examine her. The receptionist let me know that she had 20+ years dealing with various cats and dogs and it shouldn't be an issue. When my husband returned with our cat from the visit, I found out that giving our cat 2 shots of anesthesia without informing us that it would cost us an additional $165 was how they handled her. Our cat had a broken nail which caused infection and a general check up, cleaning and bandaging with anesthesia ended up costing nearly $400 dollars. I find that outrageous for a simple nail infection. My husband did say the staff were kind and helpful. However I dont think it justifies adding all these additional costs without prior notification and consent first. Edit: The $36 dollars for the bandaging was done poorly and fell off the first 30 minutes after our cat got home.

Dr. G is the only vet I would trust with my pet. He will only do the work that is necessary and always knows what best for your pets well being. His staff is willing to go above and beyond for your pet. Coming in the middle of the night to check on your pet, calling you to make sure you're updated and will love your pet as if it was their own. You know they are always comfortable in their care. I can always rely on them to take care of my pet and get them back to the highest levels of health.

In November my dachshund Spencer started to have back problems. Dr. G and crew have been nothing short of amazing during all of our visits (which included 2 after hours emergency visits, blood work, and two x rays). He's doing much better now and no longer has to be on the medication he'd been taking daily since November. Dr. G put Spencer on a strict healthy diet and we're working on losing the last little bit of weight he needs to get back to his old playful self! I can't thank you guys enough for helping my baby!

Two stars ONLY because they were able to see my pup ASAP while I was waiting for my regular vet to arrive at their clinic. 1 star for everything else: EXPENSIVE, and I felt that the vet did not have genuine concern for my boy. He seemed like he was greedy for the amount of money it would bring in. He also seemed like he was all textbook, and had no real life knowledge of or experience with dogs. I ended up paying almost $1000 for basic services all completed within an hour: charcoal, charcoal ADMINISTRATION which was $75 (which my dog would've happily eaten up for free), etc. I brought him to my regular vet when they were in and they felt so bad that I had to pay so much for such basic services. They especially chuckled at the charcoal administration being $75. I ended up paying about the same amount at pup's regular vet for his stay of 2 nights, multiple blood tests, IV fluids for the time there, and everything else to get him back to his regular self. Unless I was extremely desperate, I would not bring my dog here again. Or I would just bring him to an emergency clinic... they pretty much charge the same anyway. ******** In response, I never said that I spent $1000; I said that I spent almost $1000, as $700+ is almost $1000. Am I wrong? Most people would round up. Also, I find it a little ridiculous that even if it was approximately 2 hours spent at your clinic, my dog spent 3 days/2 nights at his regular vet and I paid under $800 for way more care than he received from your clinic within those 2 hours, including everything that you did and more. I am just warning others of my experience, as everyone should know that your clinic charges significantly more than others. I also indicated that I would not bring my dog here again unless I was desperate, but now I know that we are not welcome here. You say that all you want is to make sure my pet is safe from harm but clearly, a review of the truth is enough to make your clinic want to turn pets away from receiving care when needed.

I am new to Mississauga and found this place by reading Google reviews. I was pleased to find that the reviews were VERY accurate! Dr. G and the girls are all kind, friendly and patient. All of my questions were answered and I felt that the prices were very fair. Exactly the kind of people you want caring for your fur-baby! We really appreciate the responsiveness over the phone and followup calls. Would not think of going anywhere else.

SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR STAFF FOR DECEIVING PETS OWNER, we been a regular client for this clinic for years and we always get to see Dr.G, we called in the other day to make an appointment and asked specifically to see him as usual, they booked us in and sure their doors were closed because of the Covid, so we didn't get to meet the vet, shortly after they took our cat in, a nurse is calling me asking for my permission to run expensive testing which I approved it, few minutes later I had to pay over than $ 900 for the cost of these unnecessary tests and lots of medication to take home, that's without telling what's wrong with our cat. looking into their invoice, doesn't look the same, found out a little discount item for a new ownership, then I called the clinic back and started to question them, the nurse who answered got very nervous and spoke with a shaky voice, telling that clinic is sold out and Dr.G doesn't work here anymore..........seriously you telling me that after you charged me an arm and leg for this visit ! why you don't be professional and tell people upfront about this whole new situation, we will never be back again. on top of that, our cat got worse on their medication and had to take her to the emergency hospital. stay away from this sketchy vet.

We have been going to Dr. Chishti since we have got our dog. The clinic is very clean and the staff is friendly as well. Dr. Chishti is very efficient and gives the right solution for any problems. We went to him 2 weeks ago as Loki was making a choking noise, we were worried. Doctor patiently heard all symptoms and suggested medicines for him. Loki is doing great now. I would definitely suggest this clinic for other fur babies.

Was absolutely blown away with the incredible customer service, and also the wonderful care provided to my cat! My boyfriend and I were down in the area on holidays and our cat had badly injured his paw. We brought him in, and we were given immediate attention, and he was provided with immediate care. Not only was Dr. G incredibly thorough with Moglee’s well being and care, the girls were extremely friendly, and attentive to Moglee. So so pleased with the experience and highly recommend to anyone needing a vet or emergency animal hospital. Had an emergency with one of my cats and googled 24 hour animal hospital and found this place. I went and found it wasn’t open but that there was a number to call. I was told they would be there in 1/2 hour and they weren’t a minute late. They took her right away, examined her and gave me two options and provided a detailed estimate. She required surgery and they did that immediately and offered to let me stay there or call me when they were done. Both the Vet and the Vet Tech walked me through her meds and were just overall amazing throughout the entire experience.

This is my first visit today with my one year old dog. He was limping so I décide de to bring him in. With no blood tests or x-rays the doctor was able to diagnose him within 30 seconds and Said that he will need surgery in both his back knees. This doctor must be an amazing witch doctor to know what is wrong with my dog just by feeling him. I paid him for examining him and I am not going to be attending his services based on all the negative comments I’ve read.

If you are looking for care that goes beyond any expectation that you may have Dr Gobriel is the vet to bring your pet to. he is truly unlike any other vet I have dealt with. I've visited 4 different clinics prior to this one and none of them compare. he is caring, kind, and knowledgeable while ensuring your pet is comfortable and in good health. he is very very informative - did not rush us out of the room and answered all of our questions . I could tell how much he loves animals. He is truly heaven sent!!

I've gone through 3 Animal Hospitals within the last 5 years and by far Eglington & Mavis Veterinary Hospital is one of the best ones I've taken my fur babies to. The environment of the facility is nice and tidy and the staff are amazing. Dr. G and Dr. M along with their assistants are amazing when it comes to helping out and making my cats feel comfortable. I also like the fact that they don't push and pressure you to do certain things and are very understanding when it comes to finance and scheduling. The first time I took my kitten (Tobi) there, they made Tobi feel so comfortable and welcomed him into the family at the Ellington & Mavis Animal Hospital and treated him as a family member as opposed to just another patient, which I love. There are so many good things I could ramble on about with this Animal Hospital but I won't. I am so thankful I was able to find a great and friendly facility such as this one. Definitely would recommend to any other pet lovers and parents. 5 stars for the cleanliness of the facility. 5 stars for the friendly staff. 5 stars for amazing experiences.

Dr. G. and his staff are amazing. My 9yr old American Cocker Spaniel Mary-Jane has needed 3 surgeries to remove tumors from her face, mamory glands and leg. Dr. G. performed all 3 difficult and delicate surgeries amazingly without fail. She recovered very quickly from them all and just had the stitches removed yesterday from the last surgery. He has the best bedside manner and always takes the time to explain everything in full (and grafic) detail. He even showed me the first tumor he removed from her face! My sister found his clinic late at night after her puppy Charlie became very ill. We rushed him there and thanks to Dr. G his life was saved. Turns out he had swallowed a rock. Dr. G. even spent the night at the clinic to be sure he would be ok. Dr. G. performs surgeries that most other clinics will not touch. I have referred several people there and everyone loves him. I'm so thankful for all Dr. G. and his staff have done for my Mary-Jane. I am forever grateful.

I have dealt with this clinic MANY times personally and have brought friends here as well for thier veterinary needs. I have nothing bad to say, in fact it's all good in my experience and that of my friends and family. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I feel 100% confident that I and my pets are recieving the best care possible. I have on occassion had a pet medical emergency during "emergency" hours and they had the clinic opened quickly to address the issues. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

Thank goodness the good doctor was available late on a Friday night when our tiny Morkie became I'll and vomited up the remains of a capsule of dangerous medication (mine). After just an hour of treatment, Reggie was home and acting himself and is in fine spirits today. Thank you !!!!!

My experience in this clinic is 5y ago when Dr. G treated my cat. Safe to say I don’t take my cats here anymore. This clinic is super expensive and offer subpar treatment. The visit was very textbook and didn’t offer much. Only reason why I’m leaving a review now is because I recently had to get the same treatment for my cat at another clinic and the price here 5y ago is still way more expensive than today’s price at the other vet.

I thank my lucky star that I have found Dr Chisht. Amazing vet one of the best so far. My baby dog had surgery today. I knew she was I good hands. Amazing place. Staff are all so friendly. And you can tell he really loves what he does. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Needed an emergency vet after hours and this place came up as open 24 hours. I had raced to get here only to find that it is NOT open 24 hours as they indicate! You seriously need to update your hours I knocked on the door and called out hoping maybe someone was in the back while my husband called the number on the door. No one answered the phone and had to race around Mississauga finding another vet that was open. This was a MASSIVE waste of my time, update your hours ASAP as this is extremely deceiving to people and when you need emergency assistance like I did the last thing you want to have is a nice surprise finding out it is actually closed!!
