We've had several issues with the protocols at this clinic. There's a major lack of clear communication (we were told several prices for procedures and medications, and in the end we were still blind-sided with a higher cost than quoted). In addition, I just brought my puppy in for his follow-up appointment to get his sutures removed from his double du-claw removal surgery. After driving all the way from downtown Toronto to this clinic and back, upon inspection of my puppy's hind legs, the nurses failed to remove TEN stitches.I had to remove them myself - which quite honestly I would have done had I known how simple it was. I did ask if my pup was good to go upon leaving and I got the thumbs-up from two staff members. Will not return, and highly recommend any owners who adopted their pet from Fetch & Releash, considers going elsewhere.

It was not a satisfactory visit.My cat was having some kind of allergic reaction but Vet could not figure out what exactly it was.He gave her an antibiotics medcine.After 3 days my cat got really sick and started limping. I stopped that medicine and took her to another vet.

We were really impressed with the care and service at Derry Road Animal hospital. We had our dog neutered here and they were incredibly caring and attentive. They called 24 hours prior to confirm and remind us of the no food or drink protocols, they called to let us know all was well after the surgery and emailed quickly with follow up lab results. A few days after the surgery we were concerned about the incision and sent and email to the vet. He called us 15 minutes later in response and made sure all was OK - that's faster than my family doctor! Excellent service. I'd highly recommend.

I called the Veterinarian office just to ask if the Vet sees pet rats. Not only did he say yes but he actually got on the phone and asked us the symptoms and detailed questions about our concerns. He stayed on the line for about five minutes speaking professionally and compassionately. He truly went above and beyond with his advice and time. Also he was willing to administer some meds if we require them (hopefully not!). Great experience and I highly recommend this Veterinarian. Will use his services in the future. THANKS DR!

This was my first experience with a Vet in this country, was really hesitant to buy a pet because, unfortunately, there is lot of reviews on the web on Vets that cares more about your money than the pet itself. getting a vet recommendation had a hard task for me and for some reason, came to this one. Decided to take the risk based on the google reviews for this business as found myself with nobody guiding me on any direction. My first impression was welcoming, the girl on reception was very informative and charming, some pets around in a relax mood trigger my attention. Later on the doctor came. To be honest I was expecting a list of stuff: oh! you need to deworm, 3 shoots, 5 prescriptions and see you in two days. which was not the case to my satisfaction. Doctor was very attentive, took the time to explain thing to me, even using a chart board, explain on vaccinations, which were mandatory and which optional, making me feel the freedom and responsibility on the pet. Asked me not to deworm the pet unless necessary. Long story short, felt welcoming, satisfied with all my questions (got more than I asked for), good service, short waiting time, great attention and all that in a price point i felt good honoring.

First impression, this place needs to look more clean and less cluttered. I took my 6 months kitten to be spayed here only because it was recommended by All Paws Rescue. I was told I could leave her there until I was done work to pick her up. I got to her at 6pm and I was extremly disappointed yesterday when I found my kitten inside her carrier soaked in her own pee. I received a call at 1pm that she was waking up and that her surgery went well, but how long was she inside the carrier, wet in her own pee? I will never know what happened, and this is not acceptable. It was heartbreaking!

Dr. Zia is a great vet! He's very gentle with our senior dog and always takes the time to answer my many questions. The receptionists and vet techs are great as well. Our dog recently had a dental cleaning and they explained the procedure carefully and were really patient calming my nerves before the procedure. They're also very accommodating with appointment times. They accept direct-pay Trupanion insurance as well. Our doggo is always happy to go see Dr. Zia!

I've had my cat for 11 years now and have jumped around from different vets about 4 times and I'd have to say that Dr.Zia is the best one yet. He truly cares for the animals and will try his best to give you the best price. He's been so good to me and my 11 year old cat who has had to have multiple check ups. The staff is very friendly and kind as well. They have been calling multiple places to book an oncologist appointment for my cat. They call me back to update me. Super helpful and caring staff!! I would definitely recommend this vet clinic to anyone who is looking for a new vet

We had to put our Salem to sleep at an emergency vet clinic. We've had bad experiences with previous vet. It's hard to find someone with compassion and that actually cares for our fur babies. We took Salem here to be cremated and placed lovingly into an urn. Carly and the Dr gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes to our Salem. I picked Salem up today and spoke with Carly and Victoria. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the beautiful paw print and taking care of our Salem. We will be back to bring our kitty Sebastian in for a check up. Thank you again for your kindness.

I have been taking all my cats here since I moved into the neighbourhood 10 years ago. The reception staff are kind and caring and Dr. Zia seems to be as well. However, I question his knowledge of caring for cats as after my kitten got neutered he prescribed a medication which ended up putting him in renal failure and inevitably killing him. The reason I am so frustrated is because from the first day I took my kitten home I knew something wasn’t right. I called the doctors cell on Sunday since they were closed and he advised me to force feed him and still give meds. I brought my little guy in first thing Monday morning and the physical exam was normal so he sent him home. I brought him in Tuesday morning and insisted he do blood work and that evening I learned the news and had to put him down. I ended up doing that procedure at the oakville emergency hospital (who were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING) and was told that yes, had I caught this sooner he would have had a better chance of survival. When I went to speak with the vet the next evening he was on a house call so the vet tech, Carly (who is so caring and professional) called his cell to tell him we were at the clinic and wanted to speak to him. He said to just refund us the cost of the surgery and lab work. He wouldn’t even come in to face us! Money will not bring our kitten back but at least he did the right thing. Needless to say I will be finding a new vet.

This is the best clinic in Mississauga. We brought our 10 year old Yorkshire Terrier for a consultation for teeth cleaning. The vet and his staff were knowledge about dental issues with this specific breed. We received our quote and booked the surgery. Our dog ended up getting 18 teeth extracted and the vet did not charge for the extra work he had to do on our little fur baby. Our dog was in good spirits when I brought her home and she recovered quicker than expected. I had her 2 week post-op today and the vet went over future dental care and food to maintain healthy teeth and gums. We were not charged for this visit and even left with a free bag of dog food. I highly recommend this clinic as the staff truly care about the well-being of animals. Dr. Zia is truly amazing!!! Thank you to you and your whole team for taking such good care of my dog!

Doctor Zia has been nothing but caring, knowledgeable and fair with both my dogs. I transferred their file to Derry Road Animal hospital so it's closer to home and it's the best decision I made for our 2 dogs...the staff is amazing, prices are exceptionally fair and Doctor Zia is by far the best vet I ever dealt with. I have friends that take their pets there and I strongly recommend this clinic to anyone ... one of my dogs has alot of skin issues and Dr. Zia always tried to go the best and financially fitting route ...Doesnt rip off customers and really really cares for his patients...He is very knowledgeable and I trust him 100% with my 2 babies. We are so happy to have found this vet. Our dog is very timid and scared when surrounded by too many assistants or approached with unknown objects. He's a rescue and it takes a while for him to trust people. The vet therefore is normally a difficult place to put our dogs behavioural issues to the test. We tried two vets by our house in Toronto before deciding we would try Derry Rd. It's quite the drive for us but it is absolutely worth it. Bobby takes to Dr Zia extremely well. He's very quick, precise, listens and understands our concerns. He patient and thoroughly explains the procedure and options before beginning. The assistants are also very knowledge, kind and make the appointments enjoyable. If I could give their team a 6/5 stars I would!

He doesn’t are about your animal he’s a sales man he’ll tell you their sick and infected this and he wants to put them under for that... this ‘veterinarian’ is so incompetent DO NOT trust what he says.

The reception staff was very warm and welcoming, but unfortunately the vet was quite the opposite. We took a foster cat here and were barely given the time of day. We were barely even able to speak to the vet and when we did, he brushed off our concerns and essentially rushed us out the door after not even taking the cat out of her carrier. We have now seen another vet who actually took the time to look at our cat, talk to us and make a treatment plan, all while keeping our sweet fur baby at ease. We will not be returning here in the future with either fosters or our own pets.
