Dr Sonja is truely amazing. She took the time to find out about the history of our beloved boy before suggesting anything. It was clear that the answer was to put him to sleep humanely and at home. Upon arrival, she was nothing but tender and loving towards us *who were MESSES* and pet and loved up our boy before asking when we were ready. There was no time frame put on us, and we are SO happy that we called her. Our boy passed away in my arms at home and it wouldn't have been possible without her. I wish i could give more stars and give a virtual hug to the amazing staff here. My brothers dog, Max, had to be put to sleep suddenly on saturday. He was so old, and we didn’t want to go through the fuss of getting him in the car and to the vet and getting him all worked up. Vets on Wheels came to my brothers home and Max was surrounded by his family and comfy in his usual spot on his bed in the living room. It was beautiful, it made a hard situation hurt less. All we have to say is that Dr. Carlos Rodriguez was absolutely incredible. Not only was he able to accommodate last minute for our beautiful Louie to be euthanized in the comfort of our home, he was so gentle and caring towards him (to the point where Louie trusted him and was even wagging his tail). We absolutely couldn't have asked for a better person to put Louie to sleep. Within 7 days, Dr. Carlos personally delivered Louie's ashes back to us. Despite how difficult this time has been, Dr. Carlos absolutely made it easier, and we feel so at peace that someone so down-to-earth and kind was the person that helped our Louie out of pain. We were recommended Vets on Wheels for home euthanasia and we couldn't have asked for a better experience in such an emotional time. Vets on Wheels were so communicative, they talked us through the whole process on the phone in advance and again in person, explaining exactly what would happen with compassion and professionalism. All the pricing options were discussed in advance too and were very reasonable. When it came time to put her to sleep we were given all the space and time we needed to say our goodbyes, and felt cared for and understood in our grief. All COVID-19 precautions were taken without it ever getting in the way of us having special final moments with our cat. Thank you so much to Carlos who was the vet who came to perform the service, it really made a world of difference to us and to our late pet, and we will recommend Vets on Wheels to anyone who needs professional and compassionate veterinary services. We really felt how much he cared.

A few week ago, I had to put down my beloved Boston Terrier and since he was my first dog and the first time I had to make this though decision I wanted to make sure that dog will be as comfortable as he can be and be surrounded by both his human and dog family. Dr. Rodriguez came to my home and since he wasn’t his regular vet, he talked to me about my dog, his condition, and aliments. Dr. Rodriguez was very professional and compassionate and walked me through the entire process. At the end, he went outside and gave us some private time to say goodbye. Dr. Rodriguez also took my dogs ashes back home to me which I thought was very nice as I didn’t have to go out and deal with picking my dogs ashes up at the crematorium. Very suddenly we had to put our 4 year old dog to sleep for the last time. We knew that we wanted this experience to be as stress free as possible for him but finding a vet to come to the house on such short notice felt impossible. Dr Bernal made the time to come out to us at almost 9pm when our cat was very agitated with a UTI. She was wonderful - warm, professional and quick to explain to us the details of the treatment she prescribed. Our cat immediately liked her too and was comfortable being handled. In the past we have struggled with taking our cat into the vet, as it stresses her out and exacerbates symptoms. Vets on Wheels is a fantastic alternative; responsive, caring, soothing for both pet and owner, and really competitively priced. We will absolutely call Dr Bernal again.

We contacted Vets on Wheels to support us in helping our 13 year old pup gain his angel wings. We called them, and they were able to accommodate us same day. When Dr Rodriguez arrived, he was gently mannered and very kind. He explained the whole process, and talked us through it. He was very gentle with our dog, wanting to ensure that he was comfortable, and not afraid. He accommodated us being in the backyard under our boy's favourite tree. Once he passed, he gave us time with him, and was very respectful. He waited patiently as we said our goodbyes. The kindness and care that he showed made this very difficult process a little easier. Today, we received his ashes, personally delivered by Dr Rodriguez. Everything was taken care of for us, and we know that our pup was treated with the care we would wish for in this time. Vets on Wheels were professional, caring, and kind. I couldn't have asked for a more caring and comfortable way to say goodbye to our sweet boy. I would recommend Vets on Wheels any time.

My experience with Dr Sonia was terrible. I called her to help me put my Standard Poodle down - he had cancer and a tumor had burst in his nose that morning. I could see that he was in pain/ uncomfortable and I didn't want him to experience any more. I called her and she said that she would be able to be here in 2 hours. I was happy because I had a bit more time to create a loving space for him. I spent those two hours taking him for a short walk (where he walked around and wagged his tail), feeding him a rib-eye, hugging him and comforting him. I wanted his last experience with me to be calm, loving and peaceful. I had left the door open for Sonia and told her to come in when she arrived. My dog and I were on my couch and I had him laying on me and I was hugging him - he didn't move when she came in or want to get up to see who had arrived. He was very relaxed. She immediately started trying to sell me things. I know that I had to communicate what I wanted but there was no compassion, comfort or humanity. It was one thing after the other about some stupid trinket or package. All I wanted was for his last moments to be calm and loving. When we got around to the needles part I couldn't see what she was doing but I was focused on comforting my dog so he could pass peacefully. I still had him in my arms and was hugging him. He was so relaxed, trusting and peaceful....exactly what I wanted for him. When she put the needle in him, she did it so thoughtlessly and callously that he jumped up, cried and was squirming from the pain. My heart broke! Did she hit a bone? Was she so careless and rough that she wasn't thinking about the dogs comfort? I have had pets my whole life and never has one of them reacted like that to a needle....there are ways to do it so it doesn't hurt so much. I started to cry - which I had been trying so hard not to do until the process was over. I didn't want him to be concerned with my crying and want to comfort me. My last moments with him were of me trying hold him down ( he was a big dog), in my arms while he squirmed from pain, from the needle that she stabbed him with. It wasn't peaceful for him and her bedside manner was atrocious. After he was dead, there was no 'I am sorry for your loss' or anything. I carried him to her car, she held out her blue bag to put his body in and she left. It was an awful experience for me and unfortunately my dogs last moments were with a pushy sales person and of pain from an aggressive procedure. All of her other reviews sound so wonderful. My appt wasn't planned with her. I had called a few places after his tumor broke. The service that I had wanted was unavailable for 24 hours - she was plan B. She was the only one that was available on short notice. It took me a long time to write this review - it has been almost 2 years. All that I can say is that I am sure that she has performed this procedure more than the 11 reviews...what do all of her other clients that haven't written say about their experience? That was one of my worst experiences!

Vets on Wheels wasn't my normal mobile vet, but I called them after my usual wasn't able to make an urgent house call at the turn of my 21 year old cats life. Both the woman who booked us on the phone, and the vet who tended to my cat were so kind and compassionate and I'm thankful for that, especially during that very hard time. The Vet was so patient with me in saying goodbye, and gentle with my cat. It made the impossible just a little bit more easy. I am sure their compassion speaks to the usual service they provide.

I would have to say am very dissatisfied and disappointed with this company I paid for a service and did not receive what I paid for... First off he came to my house with all expectations of Euthanization.. this should not have been the case after hearing that my poor cats unbalanced walking would be the death of him... He did not check his temperature he did not check his ears for infection he didn't do a full exam like I paid for and he didn't do anything to help my cat with his symptoms except for trying to convince me that he should be put to sleep and then telling me he's leaving town and would like to get this done before he leaves.. with all that being said I took my poor cat to VCA animal hospital where they did everything that needed to be done after a FULL body exam she was able to help my cat with his symptoms and tell use exactly what was wrong and what we needed to do and give him a fighting chance... 5 days later and my cat has never been happier with his symptoms at ease and his comfort level being improved I will never recommend this company been trying to receive my money back but with no luck this is a scam on wheels nothing more nothing less

Dr. Rodriquez and Sonya were very helpful. We needed to put our dog down, and he was available the next day. He was very sweet to our dog, and was rubbing her paw and talking to her while she was falling asleep. He walked us through the process and made sure our dog was comfortable and happy. Absolutely Amazing and truly wonderful human being. I called Patricia when my big guy blew his ACL and wasn't able to get up the stairs from the basement- which meant no washroom access for almost 24 hours! She came after hours to help us hoist him out of the basement safely without causing further injury and then provided us with the medication needed to control his pain so he could get some rest. She is so knowledgeable and walked us through what to expect going forward- even facilitated a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. She hand delivered a prescription to our local pharmacy after leaving our home at 9pm. We cant even say how much we appreciated her last night! Truly an angel on earth!!

We just had the vet stop by today to treat our shy (and hostile) cat. The doctor was so patient and and gentle. Her waited until she warmed up to him, even fed her treats before he started doing any examining. I've never seen my cat warm up to a stranger so fast. He obviously knows what he's doing. He even opted to give her two vaccines in one so that she would only need one needle. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The price was great too considering other vets wanted to charge us $400 to sedate our feisty kitty before they could do any examining. I 100% recommend this service to anyone who has an animal that tends to get a little nervous at a regular vet clinic. We'll for sure be using them again.

They were able to fit me in on the day I wanted for at-home euthanasia, and went over everything with me ahead of time (cremation, payment etc) so that on the day I didn't have to think of anything other than the procedure. They also have options for pawprints and urns if that's something you want to have. Dr. Rodriguez was so kind and compassionate and made the experience as relaxing as possible for my cat and us. He explained the process as we went, and we had good conversation while we waited for my cat to fall asleep. The entire procedure took about a half hour. My cat had really bad vet anxiety so being able to do this at home was priceless. I'd recommend at-home euthanasia and Vets on Wheels specifically to anyone who wants to make the process as non-traumatic as possible.

If you are looking for a caring vet Vets on Wheels is for you! They show compassion and empathy and were very patient with my cat. Their email response to my first contact started with "Sorry to hear [my cat's name] is not doing well." A true sign of caring. I sent the exact same message to 3 mobile vets listed and they were the only ones to respond to the concerns/symptoms I had with a specific response to them. I didn't hear back at all from Dekens and Vets to Go simply sent a form letter. I highly recommend Vets on Wheels to everyone!

Our cat was in major distress for an unnecessary extra amount of time because of this vet. We were never going to be called back from this place to tell us they wouldn’t be able to squeeze us in for an emergency appt. If our cat, who you knew was in distress, wasn’t going to be seen, why wouldn’t you call to let us know? We had to keep calling you, how unprofessional.
