When I had to put down my Beagle the lovely staff left me sobbing in the waiting area for 15 minutes before letting me in the back to visit with my friend one last time. Afterwards they kept asking me for years when they wanted him to come in for a check up, not bothering to note they put him down for me. Classy place that I'm happy to never step foot in again.
Fast and very nice staff
We booked a 730 appointment for our two cats but when we arrived, we were told our appointment was actually for 830. A mixup that was quickly rectified, presumably because the receptionist took one look at our very stressed older cat and confirmed that they could squeeze us in. Dr. Steve was incredibly gentle and understanding. He walked us through the entire exam and treatment options. He then asked if there were any additional concerns, which is above and beyond the "one issue per appointment" vets we've been to before. Both cats got the treatment they needed and both humans got the reassurance we needed. A bit on the pricey side, but a very compassionate group of individuals. Definitely returning and recommending to others!
we were going to go here but the person in the front was rude and ignorant we had an emergency with our dog we will never go here or say anything good about this place
My dog got sick, we took him to crowfoot VCA and they charged me 150 dollars. Then in a storm sent me to 4st hospital and we took him there and they said they had to admit him and it would cost around 4000.00 dollars. I got scared and ended up paying these guys 4000.00 dollars and he was running around healthy during and before the meeting. I recommend getting some advice from others such as breeders and friends that have experience before paying unneccessary expensive bills.
We went in knowing our last visit with our dear pup of 14 years may or may not have been the last. The staff at crowfoot vet carefully took us through our options and very professionally helped us put our little man to rest. I was dreading the process and they made it very comfortable for everyone / even letting our dear pups “big brother” in the room for the end of life process. I am grateful for their professionalism and them being so compassionate during such a difficult time. These people truly care about what they do and it shows.
I just moved to Calgary and tried a different vet office before finding Crowfoot Veterinary hospital. I will be staying with this office. They are wonderful and the prices are very reasonable.
I have been going here for a few years now. I bounced around from different vets because of customer service and cost. I have since moved and still make the drive to crowfoot. From the receptionists to all the vets they are amazing and provide caring and compassionate service. When we put our dog down during such a difficult time they made me feel at ease. The way in which they explained and gave me the time I needed from the vet to the vet techs to the receptionists was amazing. I have seen every vet here over the years and if I gave positive examples the review would be too long. I did end up getting care club for my cat he is older and I have seen the benefit from his teeth cleaning to one off appointments as he ages.
I have not been impressed with pricing or service here. They have not been helpful, & charge much more for prescriptions than other vets I've been to.
My cat loves the food from here ????
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Dr. Heather Murphy did a wonderful job of our rescue dog's dental surgery. She was compassionate and communicative throughout the whole process (she even checked in with us mid-surgery). This is a very busy clinic, but the front staff run a tight ship and always manage to maintain professionalism under pressure. Its nice that they house rescue cats for adoption too!
I've been bringing my dog here for 13 years and have always had a great experience. The staff are always helpful and friendly and I find the prices to be very reasonable compared to other vet clinics in the area.
Took very good care of our Lanny after he was attacked by another dog!
Always get my dog's nails cut here, we ask for the same girl everytime (can't remember her name), they are very accommodating to my dog's special needs and very friendly staff. Also a big fan of the counter cat, they are very cute!
Knowledgeable vet and staff gave our dog the right diagnosis and treatment. I would go to them again when my dog and cat get injured or sick.
Great staff! Always friendly and knowledgeable. This clinic goes the extra mile to provide great care.
over priced for sure but good vets
Vets are educated, caring, and patient. They have seen our dog through a couple of injuries, and always offer compassionate medical care. I wish my physician was more like the vets here.
Always friendly, fast & efficient with the focus on what is best for my 4-legged companion. Great selection of speciality food too.
We’ve been taking our animals (dogs, cats & a couple of Guinea pigs????) to them for years. They have always been amazing. In 2012 we got a rather large rescue named Mac. He’s a Komondor and he had so much anxiety and fear especially with food (no aggression issues though thankfully), so he was notoriously under weight. They have been amazing at helping us with solutions and ideas for him. When he goes in for any procedures we have always picked him and had a little folder with photos and notes of “Mac’s day at the vet”. All the staff there have been lovely and supportive. Our extended family all bring our animals here because of the care and compassion they have shown. We recommend them very highly.
Good
We have been taking our animals here since moving to Calgary 3.5 years ago, and we will never go anywhere else! The time they spend with you and ensure that you know every step of every process is very comforting. They have made every experience a good one for us and our fur babies.
I feel they add costs for made up things. Like "tail inspection". Yeah my cat still has her tail good work.
Dr. Steve Boyer is a skilled, compassionate and friendly veterinarian. We have been taking our cats to him for a couple of years now. One of them developed chronic illness and Dr. Boyer's expertise and empathy was invaluable. Thank you, Dr. B!
Amazing facility. Everyone is very friendly. Had an extremely good experience there. Would highly recommend.
Dr. Steve is very competent and caring. I have autism (high level) and had no trouble understanding him; he was very direct. which I appreciate. My husband found him to be very competent and compassionate. Dr. Steve got back to us by phone several times and went above and beyond the call of duty. It meant a lot. The Crowfoot sent our family a beautiful flower when our dog died and it meant so much. Dr. Keith is a very compassionate and competent vet as well and was very kind when I had to put down my cat CatBert due to illness. He took the time to explain things, was patient, listened, and it made all the difference. Thank you. The receptionists are kind and professional; it is obvious that they care. Thank you.
Very friendly and helpful staff and vets. Great for Crowfoot area pet owners.
i saw dog
As the owner of A Laptop Shoppe I have brought my American Eskimo prince for health issues including 14 teeth removal ,it was convenient and the environment was professional and friendly.
I've taken my pets here for years. All the staff are friendly and professional.
Love you guys
DR.Shannon Perz and the reception team are wonderful! I worked in the vet industry for 11 years and they give the best service ! Highly recommended. Trustworthy and honest.
We have a small dog whose nails needed trimming. We set up an appointment a week ago. They took Toby in, and back five minutes later. That cost only $10. Found out a full clip for a small dog is $65. We would normally pay $55. But, our groomer said Toby was getting fussier and she couldn't finish the job. Here, at Crowfoot VCA, they said our dog was a dream to handle. They got my vote for return business.
Took our cat to the groomer (Gillian) and the experience was great! We felt the groomer really cared about our cat and put our cat's wellbeing first. The people up front were very nice as well!
Amazing doctors and very friendly staff. I've been very impressed with all my visits, as it can be a stressful experience with anxious animals.
My fur baby passed away on a Sunday. Because places closer were closed i wound up here, but would now make the drive to come back. The front end attendant was so caring and courteous. She kept making options for me letting me decide what i felt comfortable with..."would you like to hold her longer or let me take her from you" as an example. Thank you for your care and for making my final moments with my baby a little easier.
The clinic is very clean; they have great hours; there are welcoming staff who obviously love animals; I've only met caring, reliable, knowledgeable (overall awesome) veterinarians. The reason for only 4 stars is VCA's exorbitant price for services -- outside of the regular examination, VCA prices are VERY high across their centers. The level of care they provide is excellent, but the push to upsell for extra services is prominent, and regular fees are (unapologetically) way too high.
Great vet services here. Stay is friendly and knowledgeable, our vet takes time to really listen and provides great care for our dog.
I have taken my pets to the VCA Crowfoot location for several years and wouldn't think to try anywhere else. My veterinarian, Jacquie Fulford, has been an exceptional caretaker for my loved ones. She has seen two of my dogs through their senior years, 14 and 17 years old, and I have always felt that she really truly cares about her patients. The level of service is very personal and no matter the day or issue I present, I always feel as if my needs/concerns are being met with the utmost importance. Now with a new puppy at my home, I feel confident with the team at VCA Crowfoot to take care of us. Already at only a few months old I have made several trips to the vet for various issues with my new puppy (kennel cough, shots, ear infection) and each time I have been taken care of thoroughly and carefully. I did sign up for the new puppy Care Club and have already seen the value in my investment. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone I know with a pet in the area. I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Fulford and the dedicated team at VCA Crowfoot. (Just to note, in instances where Jacquie has been unavailable for a short notice appointment, I have been exceptionally well cared for by the other veterinarians. They take the time to get to know my dogs and their history and provide thoughtful solutions).
We just recently switched our dogs to this vet. The staff is always friendly, chatty and ready to help with whatever you need. It's pretty clean, and our vet is wonderful. He is really great with both of our dogs, and they really like him! Plus their shop cat is cute :)
I have been taking my dog here for a year and they have been great. Staff are very friendly and the doctors are very knowledgeable. I am overall happy with the service.
Great staff.
They took great care of my Daisy when her ear had a hematoma and needed to be drained. Dr. Fulford really gave her time and effort into daisy'd needs and care. She also is very detailed and makes sure to explain her thoughts and process and the options you have in terms of your pets care. Dr. Fulford is someone that was meant to be a veterinarian, loves her job, and it shows in the effort she gives to each animal she sees. Would highly recommend the team at VCA Crowfoot, especially Dr. Fulford. I will be making sure I see her again for my dogs.
Frequently booked up for the weekend. Otherwise greet service.
They are not our regular vets but clean and organized and always socked with extra formula per food
The staff is extremely friendly with your animals, it's a place my dogs actually want to go because they get cookies there...
I brought my dog here for her skin disease, we starting going here for almost a year and paid a lot of money for her skin to get better, but it kept getting worse and we had to keep giving her giving her these pills that the doctor gave us , and if we missed out on giving it to her her skin would react. It came to point where we even thought of putting the poor thing down. We took my dog elsewhere it turns out the pills they gave my dog were not for her and were for a bigger dog a st Bernard.
Great staff who all genuinely love animals and treat your pet the way they'd treat their own.
Staff are very friendly and your pet is treated with love.
Pleasant experience.
Big beautiful clinic with very friendly staff.
Good place, staff is nice. No thrilled with the one female vet. Doesn't listen well
Great people! Fantastic pet care!
Not as available as one needs for pet emergencies
Very efficient and friendly service
At first I was impressed until I tried another vet. My dog had a torn ACL and having just moved to the area we thought we would try them out. First trip in they did not seem to know how to handle a bigger dog. Two of the girls and myself had to pin him down to try and examine his knee. Upon that they couldn't diagnose the situation so they wanted to do xrays. Without sedating him, all they could xray was his knee. The xray came back "inconclusive" so we had to go back so they could sedate him and xray his hips ($$$$$$). After those xray, all they could say is that it was "probably" his knee and that he would need surgery. They recommended a place downtown and had them call me to schedule an appointment. Turns out after phoning around to price out the surgery, this was the most expensive place in the city!! After doing my own homework I found another vet that came recommended. I brought my dog in and within 15 min the vet had confidently picked my dog up, put him on the table and could easy tell that his ACL was torn. NO XRAYS OR SEDATION NEEDED!! I gave him the xrays that crowfoot did so he could perform the surgery. His price for the surgery was $1000 cheaper than where Crowfoot recommended. Crowfoot charged me for two rounds of xrays, sedation, blood work...... Needless to say I will not be going back.
They only care about money. Try to charge 90 dollars before addressing the clear and precise issue I asked to be resolved. The staff are rude and have 0 compassion. Try to explain that a medication is needed before closing and they don't care. They don't care what the concerns of the client are, just how they can make an extra buck.
They have been incredible to my family. I have now see three different vets and my experience with all of them was incredible. First we brought our sick baby to them and had to put her down and the compassion that was there was amazing. Then we rescued two babies from the human society and they are currently working with us on one of them as she has been through alot, and needs some extra guidence so that she can get along with her sister. If it wasn't for the amazing staff there I don't know what I would have done. Thank you Crowfoot Veterinary Hospital for the amazing service we have received from all of your staff !!!!!!!!!!
Great staff awesome with furbabys
The staff is very friendly and the Vet (Steve) was very knowledgeable and caring. However, it's tough not to call these guys "crooks". Everything here is 2 to 3 times more expensive than other animal hospitals in the area. This is not an exaggeration. I could not visit my regular Vet in Bowness due to my busy schedule so they referred me to crowfoot. The initial check-up/check-up was $95 which is about double what I am used to at Bowness. My dog needed to get put under to get approximately 5 teeth pulled for which they quoted me $2300, which I was willing to pay until I told a co-worker. They recommended I get another quote from City Center Airdre, as she took her's there to get teeth pulled at a fraction of the price. She was right! They quoted me 650-950 for the exact same procedure! It turns out my dog needed 15 teeth pulled, which turned out to be around 2200, but they gave me a discount and I ended up paying $1200 total. If I had to pay what crowfoot was quoting it would have been $5000+. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Crowfoot Animal Hospital. I recommend Bowness (Vet is just as good as Steve) or Airdre City Center. Both have caring staff and great vets but at a fraction of the price. Loving and caring for an animal should not mean bankruptcy and these other vets provide care without gouging your life savings.
very friendly service dog was not at all uncomfortable
The vets here are very caring. Last week I brought my very neglected Goldens to be groomed. I truly expected them to have no butt or leg feathers left because those areas were so matted. We gave the groomer full permission to cut them out. When they were returned they smelled and looked fantastic. Their feathers looked like they had never had a problem.... miracle Worker! These pups have found a new regular groomer where their owner has enormous peace for mind.
They are compassionate and very loving. I never feel they take advantage of me. I feel that they care more about the animals than about money.
Dr. Jaqueline gave my dog her youth back.
Great vets and staff. Very caring.
Great.place highly recommend taking your pets here . All staff from the ladies when u walkin to the doctor's that see.uour.pets.
Constant problems ordering medications and bringing through items. Dr. Jackie is a great vet.
You guys were very RUDE today to the person that was picking up stuff for are family dog...I called you ladies hours a head of time to give you my order and you guys said okay no problem I gave you ladies the name of the person and then when they went to get the stuff you guys said you don't recall anyone calling and asking for this stuff like REALLY so RUDE thank you for making my first experience with you guys so WELL!
Excellent care, friendly and caring. Front desk very friendly and genuine. I highly recommend the Crowfoot Animal Hospital.
Friendly Staff and Doctors
Great staff
Just the most amazing treatment and service. Rufus(min pin) somehow ripped his back claw out and we needed a cone. They took him up and cleaned him up. Sent him home with a belly full of treats a super cool little foot bandage! They rock! Thank you so much!
My cat is terrified of going to the vet, but Dr. Wilkinson (Claire) was so kind and calmed her down right away! Really patient and did a thorough job explaining the options. Both vets I've seen at this clinic took great care of my cat. Thanks!
Absolutely the best clinic in the city!! My baby boy Oreo had many trips to crowfoot, calgary north and mcknight. The team at crowfoot in my experience is the friendliest, most compassionate and most knowledgable. My baby boy lost his couragous battle with kidney disease Feb 26. and the staff at crowfoot sent a beautiful flower in his memory. They are very thoughtful and the welfare of the animals is their top priority. I cant thank them enough for everything they've done for Oreo, Alley and myself.
Dr. Steven Boyer is amazing! Had a really great experience my first time at VCA. He was really knowledgeable with our two cats. He was very kind, patient and our cats Sparky and Muffin liked him. He treated our issues with compassion and was gentle. You can tell everyone here likes animals. This vet is the higher end price wise but worth it as they do it all to take care of your pet. I will be be bringing my other kitty Storm here next month. Our bill was stacking up and Dr. Boyer was kind enough to give us a break on a portion of the bill so we could get the blood tests needed. Very happy with him and the overall experience. Thanks again Dr. Boyer and VCA! And thanks front counter girls for putting our kitties In a room fast away from the dog
Excellent!
Accommodating staff.
I’ve been bringing my cockapoo to Natasha for her grooming services for over a year now & our experience has been wonderful! Not only are the staff on sight immensely kind, but most importantly they are extremely accommodating. My little one always enjoys her time with Natasha and comes home with the cutest teddy bear cut. Natasha is not only very experienced and skilled, but she makes a genuine effort to ensure my pup is always provided with the best care!
They use to be an excellent vet, then they sold out to VCA, costs went up and care went down. Very unfortunate.
Won't take my pets anywhere else. We've gone to every vet here and they are all fantastic. Great staff, from the Vet Techs, the Vets, to the front desk staff. Top notch!
They are so great I love them. My kitty has Chronic Kidney Disease they took there time to explain about what is happening with him. Which meant the world to me for I did not understand it. Now that I know about it I can take better care of my baby boy. They call me to check how he is doing. So they make you feel important & that your pet is just as important. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a furbaby. They carry great pet food & food for your pet with illnesses. Also they take there time with you & your pets. Wonderful vet's in here with big heart, give you all the support you need. This is my boy Bud since we have been going there. An amazing chance in him. Really love them ????????????????
They're great ????
My Veterinarian was temporarily out of Insulin and I was almost out. Got a referral & Prescription to Crowfoot Vet Clinic. 10Ml Caninsulin at my Vet $40 including GST. 10ML Caninsulin @ Crowfoot $ 66 including GST.. Says a Lot About this Business.. No Thanks !!!!!!!
If you're dealing with a veterinarian who consistently overcharges you with fees undisclosed even when you've requested an estimate, until it comes time for payment and provides poor customer service and/or doesn't stock basic pain relief for your pet as I ran into routinely with my previous vet then do yourself and your pet a favor and switch to these vets. They are compassionate, professional and honest to a fault. You won't find a better clinic in Calgary than this one!
I came here with an intact Male dog and the vet was nothing but kind and respectful.i wish I had come here sooner
I made a phone call couple days ago to ask if I can bring my puppy over, she got cancer and I couldn't trust my vet anymore, my puppy has been not well. I was wondering if I can walk in or need an appointment? unfortunately crowfoot VCA only takes puppy with appointment, which was understandable. if I am right, the reception lady's name was Jenny. Jenny was laughing through all the conversation knowing my puppy was dieing. I don't know why it's funny for her to hear about a cancer puppy?
Great people!
Great vet! They are always helpful and super knowledgeable!
Amazing staff !! I thank them for the service and smiles every time we see each other !!
Dr. Wilkinson and the other staff members are excellent. They are all very skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies.
We had to let our sweet boy Baxter go last night and the staff were incredible. They were so compassionate, so understanding and made us feel Comfortable and even made our boy feel loved by them. We’ve had many dogs in our lives and have had the unfortunate experience of having to put them down, Some Experiences that were horrific and scarring. VCA is not one of these places. They are by far the best place we’ve ever gone through to let our pets go. Their prices are a bit higher than some but when it comes to giving a truly compassionate end to your pets life, don’t think to go elsewhere. I can’t recall the vets name but thank you so much for your compassion and your beautiful spirit in our time of grief. I wish you a very long successful career as a vet.
I just love this vet everyone there is so special. They really helped me with my kitty Bud that had Chronic Kidney Disease. They really helped me when his Kidneys finally failed and I had to say my good bye's to him ???????????? I highly recommend them to everyone that needs a great compassionate vet for your furbabies.
We've been coming here for years with our sweet little Bichon and their staff are always the best!
Prices here are way over inflated to steer you towards their $90/month "Junior Paws+" program. I was quoted up to $930 bucks for a simple spay/microchipping of a cat. I received my cost breakdown and not reflected in this estimate is the fact that my cat was in heat at the time which always results in a surcharge, so I'd likely be looking at well over $1000 for the procedure. Unfortunately I saw these numbers after my $100 consultation. Went to a nearby vet and got it all done for just over $400! Lesson learned; always ask for a ballpark figure before you make an appointment!
Have been here a few times with our pet. The doctors and staff are excellent and explain all what you need. Also it is closest animal clinic which we have around and people there are very helpful.
Dr. Wilkinson always goes the extra mile for our dogs. We love her!
Amazing staff, great selection of food. Recommend them for grooming especially.
Dedicated staff ready to help beyond expectations
