This clinic is beyond amazing. We have 2 dogs that love coming here. Our puppy has had to have a few specialized surgeries at the CARE clinic and we have been able to bring him to our vet at VCA country hill and they have help with his after care. The support they have given to us as a family and our puppy as a client has been so amazing that words cannot describe what they have done. The staff from the front to the techs and the vets go way beyond what the job requires. He had to have his tail docked for medical reasons and the love and after care they have given him blows us away. Thanks to all the staff at VCA Country Hill Animal Hospital for everything they do and all the love and support. Loki and Atlas are forever greatful as am I and my fiancée

I have been to another VCA in the past and was not very happy with the service but thankfully that location could not get my cat in for another 2 months so I looked into this location. I booked online and wrote the reason why and within 10 minutes the receptionist was calling me asking more questions about what was going on with her and advised I should bring her in sooner. I was skeptical about not being able to go inside with my girl but the ladies were so helpful and nice! We saw Dr.Shane and I honestly couldn't have any higher praises for him! He talked to my Fiance and I for 20 minutes about our girl and was so helpful and nice, turns out that she is just fine but he validated all our concerns and gave alot of information that would help her long term. I will not be returning to the other location even though it is literally down the street fro my house. Thank you Dr.Shane and all the ladies who helped us yesterday :)

We had a really great experience with the Country Hills VCA. Our recently adopted senior cat stopped eating and we were very concerned. Megan was so comforting and was very thorough and knowledgeable. All the receptionists are also super nice and helpful. We will definitely keep coming here. Quick edit to say I am even more impressed with VCA Country Hills now! I called yesterday because my cat was not peeing and I wasn't sure if I should take her in or not. The receptionist was super helpful and also talked to the vet we had seen the day before to get her opinion. I did end up taking her to the emergency vet that night but luckily she did not have a blockage. I just recieved a call from VCA Country Hills checking in on how my cat was doing which was so sweet. They really go above and beyond here!

This place only wants your money. I took my dog here and I felt like i was being rushed through the examination like i was getting groceries rung up at a store. Just an exam costs double what any other vet charges. I would only go here if you want yo needlessly pay double what you actually should.

They charged me $350 for blood and urine Only, and that price doesn't even include the cost of the visit, which I had already paid for so I was a little shocked having never paid that amount for lab fees ever in my decades as a pet owner.. ????

Dr. Cathy is absolutely amazing. Best vet we've ever had. Our dog gets so excited to see her, she is so kind and thoughtful and never rushes you. She calls back with results when she says she will and always takes her time to make sure all your pet's needs are met. Amazing staff and service. Cannot say enough good things!!!!

This is hands down the best vet ( Dr.Kathy ) that Calgary has to offer. This vet will call and check up on your fur babies and never leaves you with unanswered questions. My pup had an allergic reaction to one of her vaccines and now the vet takes her in early and gives her something before her vaccines and then keeps her there for a few hours after just to make sure she's okay. She called just yesterday to make sure I had no questions for my other dogs neutering operation next week. They ALWAYS go above and beyond. A year-and-a-half ago I had to put down my senior dog they made that experience the best it could have possibly ... gone their hearts went out to myself and family and they even called to check in on us after the fact and sent us cards as well. I cannot express just how amazing they are. I would give them 6 stars out of 5 if it would let me lol.

***EDITED After my frustration over the issues with my attempted return, the manger of this VCA reached out and I was able to explain my concerns. The problem was partly a distributor issue and partly miscommunication during my initial purchase and return attempt. This is much more in line with what I expected and I was happy with the end result of the conversation I had with Jessie. Thank you for following up and treating me well. It was appreciated! *** I recently purchased a specialty brand of rabbit digestive aid which is sold as a "nutritionally complete, versatile assist-feeding aid" for my pet bunny who wasn't eating well after getting spayed. But of course as soon as I bought this product and came home with it my bunny decided she was better and she would start eating normally again so I didn't end up using or even opening the product I got from this VCA. I called them twice about returning the product and was initially told I would have to wait for a manager to get back to me about the return. After waiting for a response for a week, I was told I would not be allowed to return my unopened package and now I'm out $85 for nothing. I could get over the delay in response but the fact that they will not allow me to return an unused and unopened package is poor service to me. Nowhere on my receipt was it indicated that it was a final sale, nor was I told at the time of purchase that I wouldn't be able to return the product if it didn't work out. I have a family member that works in a vet clinic elsewhere in the city and she has told me her clinic will accept returns on opened bags of food as long as more than half the food is still left in the bag. Disappointing.

The vet Ingrid is extremely rude and clearly pays no attention to detail. This is her attitude towards me, how am I supposed to trust how she will treat my helpless puppy behind closed doors. I am transferring vets solely because of her. Not going back to that Vet again.

We took one of our cats into the vet. We were checked in and in less than five minutes one of the vets saw our cat. The doctor only wanted to go step by step with our cat. She was very informative about her findings and very caring. Our budget wasn't broken either. Would definitely go back again.

We missed an appointment due to an emergency, first time ever. Our pet has been well taken care of, given every vaccine, checkup and medication prescribed by you. This clinic had the nerve to call the SPCA citing animal neglect when we missed our appointment. (Don’t worry, I know it was you that called) No phone call to rebook or to find out why the appointment was missed. Customer service failure. Great to see you have $$$’s in your eyes. You should try to replace the $$$’s with compassion and caring, this might improve your customer service and image. My friends and family will no longer be requiring your services, thank you and good luck.

Had a great experience with the Country Hills Vet team this morning. All 6 of our animals are patients here, but until today I didn't feel a need to write a review. This morning one of my dogs got a chin full of porcupine quills. Without an appointment, he was seen by two vet techs, who quickly and easily removed 12+ quills. The team at Country Hills and especially Ingrid really cared about my dog and did everything they could to fix the situation. I won't be going anywhere else for vet care!!

I brought my 7 month old kitten in and the staff knew exactly what to do with a frightened kitten. They took such wonderful care of her. The staff and Dr. Jill were very professional and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. I truly felt that (daisy) my kitten was in the best hands possible. The staff in this palace do not treat your dog and their client respectful. Not only provide a poor service, but also charge much more than the other place. Just don't recommend to go there. I would recommend to fire one nurse.

This hospital is not formal at all. Today, I took my cat to see a doctor. They said that I need an X-ray, which costs $300， I said I can get an X-ray. I want to make sure my cat is healthy. After the X-ray is done Then called me and said that I didn’t see anything, because the cat had breakfast, but the doctor didn’t ask me if the cat had eaten before the X-ray cant see clearly. The doctor did not tell me that the cat needs an fasting examination before the X-ray. The examination was done without confirming the actual situation. This examination is still useless, and there is a normal charge. I think this hospital is just deceiving people, taking advantage of my worry about cats, and doing things without norms at all. This is particularly unreasonable, and I am very dissatisfied with the way this hospital does things. If I can, I will choose to give 0 stars. I hope everyone will not be fooled. Unreasonable charges.

I recently got my puppy neutered and had the worst experience! The technician Ingrid is rude and very unprofessional. When I initially picked up my puppy after his neuter, Ingrid did not offer me other options for my puppy’s after care besides the plastic cone when there were other alternatives such as soft cone and surgical vests, etc. My puppy was not able to sleep at all and was very uncomfortable. I talked to a lot of my friends who has had there puppy neutered and to my surprise there were plenty of other alternatives to just the very uncomfortable plastic cone the vet offers! I called the vet and asked to speak to Ingrid, she was very rude and unapologetic what so ever! All she said was that she did mention it and said quote “that’s it? Are you done?” I was appalled! That’s when I decided that I needed to switch vets immediately. Not only is Ingrid rude and unprofessional she doesn’t care about your dog’s comfort and well being and very untrustworthy. I love the receptionist at the front desk but I definitely cannot trust or want to leave my puppy with someone like Ingrid.

Absolute compassionate care right from the day my puppy was born. Dr. Kathy and team do not disappoint. Was 1 hr roundtrip every time but very much worth it to get the care my dog needs. Price is more than reasonable considering the care you receive.

Will not be returning. I only go in for food because it’s on the way home from work and easy for me to stop by. Obviously this clinic doesn’t care about how customers are treated since they have such rude staff. The girl with the pink hair is awful. I have never enjoyed dealing with her and today, I overheard her talking badly about customers who were in the building!!!!! For how much this vet charges for food and treats, you’d think they’d have better front desk staff. I’ve seen this young lady every time I have gone in, and she is always unpleasant, moody, and rude. I will not be bringing my business back and definitely won’t be bringing any of my pets here. Very disappointing!

Super disappointing experience. Called and spoke to someone about walk in nail trims explaining I had a very hectic week preparing for a road trip where I would be gone for almost a month. Obviously had little time to mess around. This lady told me they did walk in nail trims and just to call that day to check on what time technicians leave for the day since their schedules vary. I called today and was told NO they do not do walk in nail trims. Totally waste of my time and now I need to find a last minute place. As a small business owner myself customer service is a priority. Obviously customer service isn't a priority here since there was no offer to fix this like squeeze me in somewhere before I leave. Lost a potential customer with 2 dogs and 4 cats.

I had been a customer of 1 year with these guys, when my dog got bit he was in a lot of pain. I went to get him treated at Country Hills Veterinary but when i got there they said to go to another vet or come back in a week cause they were to busy. The girl at the front made no effort at all to accommodate me or my dog even though i was a regular customer with then. Regardless these people are overpriced, they don't care about your animal as they would not see mine even though my dog was howling and shaking in their front lobby, and they wont make any effort to take care of their clients.
