Sure you have a bit of a drive but you save money on pretty much every service compared to the big city.

Does not do urgent care for none clients. I had just moved into the area recently when my very old cat got a swollen anal gland. This can be quite uncomfortable and can easily be treated with medication. Unfortunate that I'm not a previous client so now I must look elsewhere. I would have been a client but the well being of my cat was disregarded when I tried.

This veterinary clinic saved our bulldog's life when we arrived unannounced / without an appointment. Our bulldog was suffering from heat exhaustion / stroke and the staff quickly assessed the situation and immediately placed us in an air conditioned room, turned down the temperature even more in that room and started the process of getting his temperature back down to a normal range with ice packs and cold towels. Once he stabilized, they provided a shot of a sedative to enable us to continue our trip in to Ottawa. All of this for under $100. When we wanted to make an appointment for the return trip, the staff suggested that we didn't need an appointment and could just pick up some sedatives to administer to our bulldog prior to the trip. We did and they worked like a charm and the cost for the supply of pills was less than $10! I can't thank Dr. Mulloy and her staff for saving our dog and wish we lived closer so we could use their caring services all the time!

I wonder if the review writer Lindsay is talking about the same Valley Vet service!? We are new to Carleton Place. Our kitty Missy hurt her paw, we ended up at Valley and we are so pleased. Could not ask for more no nonsense caring staff. Dr Szyngiel was great!...a week letter I received a follow up phone call to ask how Missy was doing! When was the last time you had a medical Doctor to call and ask you how YOU were doing!? I was worried about changing vets ...we need not have...we are very happy.

When my cat swallowed a string, I was terrified of the costs that I would incur. I was quoted about $6,000.00 at a Calgary clinic. However, Valley Vet Drumheller was able to provide a complex surgery and several days of after care at less than a third of the comparable price. The surgeon, Dr. Lehmann has exceptional talent. It is obvious that this clinic cares about people's pets. It feels somewhat understated to say that it is worth the drive! I'm so thankful to have found this clinic readily available in such a dire time.

I cannot recommend the vet services as I have not had to take my dog in for anything medical. However I will not buy anything else from this establishment. Between my wife and I, we have spent hundreds of dollars here without issue until today. I bought a hair brush for my dog at approximately 1:00 PM. Took it home tried it for about 3 mins and he absolutely hated it. We have 1 other brush but it was his puppy brush (small) and he never minded it. I wanted something bigger. Due to him not liking it at all, I thought I would call and get a refund, and purchase the other one that costed alittle bit more. I was informed because I used it once (for 3 mins) that it can no longer be re-sold or re-stocked. I have worked in retail, in fact I've managed in retail aswell, I would never risk losing a customer especially in a small town over $14.95, especially if it was literally an hour ago when the customer made the purchase. If it was a week or even a month and somebody was trying to I would probably still return it just to keep a customer and avoid exactly what I'm doing now "a bad review". While I love Drumheller, this is part of the reason why some people choose to go to the city to do there shopping, poor customer service. In fact I called petsmart in Airdrie before posting this and Dean (inventory Manager) said absolutely he would return the brush in fact they would return "everything" even food within 60 days. This brush is brand new in fact there isn't even any hair on it, yet Donette (Manager), would not return it, end of story, zero customer service. I will never buy (on pricipal) from there again. Again this is not a review on medical services offered but the retail portion only, I've heard only good things about the services they provide animals. This is more so to ensure you be wary when purchasing anything non service related. Thank you for reading.

I have to say that the valley vet team went above and beyond for my husky who was extremely sick and we were not sure what we were dealing with . They diagnosed him with severe pancreatitis and treated him for 4 days and were always in contact and always friendly and honest and very compassionate. They sent him home with amazing instructions. Even on a holiday Monday, when my 10 mth old puppy was hit by a truck, I was able to reach the vet at the drumheller location who was availible if needed to see the pup. With his amazing advice and calming phone call we were able to give our puppy what he needed when he needed it. We love our Drumheller Vet Office! We drive 1.5 hours to and from Calgary to bring our dog here several times a year, and everytime we get to the clinic we are reminded why we drive such a long way! We adopted our lemon of a dog about 6 years ago and dealt with so many vets, and we were relieved to find Valley Vet. The staff and veterinarians we have dealt with have all been some of the most caring people I have ever met. I think my dog gets better vet care than I do healthcare. Every vet we have seen has been very thorough and upfront when examining our dog and discussing options. Valley Vet has gone out of thier way on several occasions to accomodate us. We will continue to bring our dog and all future pets there.

I started bringing my two dogs and cat here when we moved to CP last year. We have always gotten in on time for our appointments, and they call after a few days to see how your pet is doing. The vets been great and they always take their time with each "patient." Their prices are on on par or lower than our two previous vets before moving. What is really amazing is that they never try to upsell and have even helped over the phone without needing an appointment.

Called early morning about getting meds for my cats. I was told I would receive a call when they were ready. Later that day I decide to call and see if the meds are ready. Apparently they were ready and had been ready. But no one wanted to call and let me know. It’s now to close to closing time for me to pick them up. I go the next morning to pick them up. I was the only car there I waited 30 mins to get meds that were apparently ready the day before. Not happy
