I have taken my pets here for years, the service is exceptional. The staff is very friendly and also very compassionate, we have had to put two older pets down and shortly after we received beautiful sympathy cards. Whenever we go there if you have any question, you never feel rushed or like you are taking up their time. I highly recommend this clinic it is a 5 star Clinic to our family.

We had to put our beloved pup down this week. Everyone that we dealt with at the clinic was very nice. This was my first time putting an animal down and the doctor explained everything which I appreciated. They provided us with as much time as we needed to say goodbye. We didn't feel rushed at all. I had to put my cat down after 17 years. The staff was very caring. There was a really nice room to say goodbye in. I have had to face this many times but today was the first time it wasn't clinical and detached. Soft blankets, dark room. Little fridge with drinks in it. There was a dog right behind us and they put us in the family room right away so she didn't get scared. We were not rushed at all. She was sedated first then put to sleep. Affordable and humane.

I had such a wonderful experience sat strathmore vet when I came in with my dog, Lucy. Lucy was quite sick and after seeing a vet at a different clinic I drove out to strathmore for a second opinion. They were able to get Lucy in right away and the vet was so gentle and thorough. They did X-rays and a full exam on Lucy which gave me more piece of mind than the first vet clinic. They prescribed antibiotics for her and gave recommendations for light meals to feed her while on the medication. Lucy made a full recovery after a few days and I couldn't have been happier with our whole experience. The staff and facility are really fantastic.

Not my normal vet but they are at least $250 cheaper than my normal vet in the city to have my dog spayed/neutered. We've taken 2 dogs to them for the surgery and both times have been very impressed with the attention and care they give our dogs as well as the instructions and follow up they do for after care. Our first dog healed very well from her surgery with no issues and our 2nd dog just got done today but he's already showing signs that he's in a good mood (for someone that just lost his testicles that is).

What horrible RIP OFF ARTISTS! - my cat had a piece of skin ripped of his paw. The charges were outrageous- $350 for a 2 minute exam and a bandage plus a shot of an antibiotic. They tried to push for an x-ray for another 160$ insinuating the paw is broken and making me feel like I was a horrible person for not wanting to spend the additional 160$ and telling me he may lose his paw if I dont do it!!! It was clear the paw was not broken, he was moving it normally. Unbelievable. My regular Vet was out of town- I told her later about the charge - it would have been $80 all in with her and that's what I usually pay (very well known Vet clinic, highly recommend although she is in Calgary- so worth the drive! @Macleod Veterinary Clinic)

Our current vet is shut down for 2 weeks very suddenly. I tried to call to see if they had food that we could purchase and the lady on the phone refused to sell us food for our cats. She stated that they are unable and unwilling to, unless they have seen them previously.

5-Star for sure. Very caring and kind staff. Took in my cat to get spayed. They are the lowest priced in town, but you wouldn't know it from the service! Despite how agitated my cat was after the process (very very agitated), the staff was understandable and kind even even lent me a cat carrier to take my cat home after the procedure. Got a follow up call the next day to ensure the healing process was going well. Thanks to all the staff there!

These guys are amazing from start to finish! Will never have another vet even if I live hours away. When I first rescued my lil guy we had to have a male doctor because he was badly abused my a female human and I was having a hard enough time trying to gain his trust let a lone having to go to the vet as soon as we got him as he was in terrible shape. Dr M took his time to gain my pups trust... talking to him, giving him cookies and getting him on the right path to a healthy life. My pup knew him as Dr Cookie. There were a few more visits in the 4.5 years that we had him due to lasting damage from his previous life, his eyes being one of them. At one point Dr M and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with his eyes or why or how to heal them, Dr M literally went and got big thick books and we spent a good half hour going through them together to see what could be wrong, we came to the conclusion that it could be brain damage and the result was his eyes were failing and loosing the needed pressure in them to operate, kind of a reverse glaucoma. He went as far as to contact a neurologist for dogs to confirm it or see if there was anything that could be done and that there was nothing much more we could do but monitor it. As much as it sucked I was very grateful that he went to such lengths and have never in all my life had a vet truly care for my animal the way I do. The day came when his eyes got so bad that they infected and were causing him great pain and were on the verge of bursting almost over night, something just broke all of a sudden. He was too old for surgery and no longer had quality of life. Dr M was able to provide one more day that we could use to say goodbye, even provided a boost of pain killer and anti biotics in hopes that it would help to heal his eyes, but we knew were the story was going. We fed him as many french fries as he could take, never seen him so happy to have his whole face in the fry container. The next day we set up to get a paw print of our lil guy. Dr M was so kind, answered all my questions through me balling my face off. He did not rush me and offered everything he could in comfort and knowing that my baby was no longer going to suffer. He walked with us through the process and allowed us to stay with our pup as long as we needed after even offering to use the stethoscope so my OCD self knew with 100% certainty that my baby was now an angel. It is always such a horrible experience to have to go through but the compassion and understanding that was provided by Dr M really made a difference. This is a vet that truly cares for each individual animal and their personal needs, including the owners. They even took the time to send a beautiful card about the loss of our loved one. What an amazing team! So many times they've gone above and beyond to accommodate our pet family, like arranging their schedule around ours for when we had to let our Stevie go ahead and so we could all be with him, coming to the house so he could be at home. And then today, with Phranc, I was thinking I'd have to have a house call to get his microchip in, and they helped me get him organized to take him in and wrapped the team around him when we got there. I've never seen a team so committed to the happiness of the animals and those of us who love them! ALWAYS above and beyond what one would ever hope to expect! We live in Airdrie and drive to Strathmore for all our vet needs. My parents recommended this vet because they were the only ones who could properly stitch up their Irish Wolfhound after he was nuetured (they also treat livestock so are familiar with large animals). The prices are much better than the city and we have never had unnecessary costs pushed on us, in fact they do all they can to save us money. The vet texted me a picture of my dog with a note that her spay went well, which was so nice. This is the only vet we will ever go to, even if we have to drive 45 min to get there. Its worth it!

Our puppy was so well taken care of during his vaccine and microchipping! The vet that helped was amazing, and was very knowledgeable and patient to the dozens of questions I asked. We're coming back for the next doses of vaccines, but the comfort of having the best hospitality just makes the drive from the city worthwhile.

I have brought my little fur baby here for 13 years. Yes, I prefer to drive all the way from Calgary to Strathmore because this clinic is that good! I have referred a number of my friends and their pets to this clinic because the Vets here truly care about pets and give practical advice and care without breaking the bank. Even when my dog was in a terrible place because of a major infection, they kept her and I calm last year and she pulled through an emergency operation smoothly. If you are looking for a clinic filled with people who care and have the skills to keep your pet safe and healthy, then this is the clinic for you; distance be damned.

The staff here are all lovely people, and while they had been incredible for my little mans teeth when they needed cleaning... I’ve become incredibly disappointed in the treatment and diagnosis of my dogs health. Things started off with just an ulcer, but that was the answer to anything. They wanted to look further into things by doing blood test and xrays upon blood work and xrays with no real answer to anything else. Then came the head pain, and the change of color to his cornea. Something that had gone from one health concern to something else, all of which had simply been over looked by trained professionals. All of whom should have looked at the symptoms as separate entities and explored other possibilities but continued to come back to either his teeth or the ulcer, none of which offered any other advice or possiblities. The amount of money spent in just useless bloodwork and xrays with no real answers has been frustrating to say the least. The vets here are incredibly kind, but they’re more then happy to push off expensive treatments with no answers. We’ve finally been directed possibly in the right direction as to the situation by another vet, and never once had anyone at this location even remotely looked into an on going and painful situation. I really... really couldn’t be any more disappointed in the “trained” help we received. If the vets had explored other options or thought to check other causes for pain, we may have had an answer well over a year ago. Thank you so much for the “help”.

I have nothing but good things to say about this outfit. Dr. Boisvert on one occasion systematically, quickly and cost effectively solved a digestive problem that had been bothering my dog for 6 months that we just couldn't figure out. Then, on another occasion, he attended an emergency call out in the middle of the night on no notice whatsoever. Dr. Boisvert on both occasions took the time to talk to us for as long as we needed, was very patient and informative, gave me as much detailed information as I wanted (a lot), and delivered difficult news with skill and respect. I also noticed that Dr. Boisvert was not afraid to say he only has 1.5 years experience as a vet, and I didn't feel this hindered his treatment at all, in fact I view it as a positive. He was very knowledgeable.

Hopefully this was just a one off of a staff member having a really really bad day or some other uncommon event but I thought I should share my experience since it was quite jarring to encounter so much unprovoked hostility after reading so many glowing reviews. I called for a quote, first receptionist was very friend, they put me on hold to find out abut a quote, second person i spoke to was really harsh and condescending! They could only tell me an assessment was 83 plus tax (why not just say 87.15, lol?) and they were very aggressive about not being a doctor and not being able to give any further information whatsoever. If they had just refused to give out information that would have been totally understandable but it was really upsetting that one of their staff went out of their way to put someone down just for wanting to know approximate costs of common things.

We’ve been to a number of vets in Calgary and tried the trek out to Strathmore on a recommendation. They are well worth the 45 minute drive from Calgary. It's easy to praise these good people. Since I moved out here in 1995, I and my cats have been treated with the utmost respect, dignity and compassion. Even when the news was bad (for Durin: 1983-1996 and for Spanky: 1984-2003 and later for Max: 2003-2018), I was gently told the truth about what could be done and (later) what would have to be done. Tommy and Dusty are the last two cats. I will trust their health and welfare to no one else. God bless these wonderful people.

This has been my favorite Vet clinic since I was a kid. I can remember at one point bringing my dog in there after he had been sucked under in a weir. I was with my babysitter and my parents were out of town. I was very panicked and sad (at the time I was only about 12). I ended up receiving everything for free. Now that I am in my mid 20's I drive out from the city any time I have a problem with my animals. Not only do these vets know what they are talking about, they are reasonably priced, the receptionists are fantastic to talk to, and they are a "down to business" type of place. I find comfort in knowing Gerry has been in the industry for a long time, and so have a few of the others. Overall a great place to go, and well worth the 30min drive from Calgary.

Even 1 star is too many, but there is no 0. I have taken my 14 animals here for the past 7 years, without an issue, but today was different ... a medical error was made! I had very specifically and distinctly declined vaccines, microchip and tattoo for my cat, but when I picked him up he was tattooed! A worse mistake could have cost him his life! It's enough that I now have to detox the heavy metals in the tattoo ink from his system! Their "highly experienced" technician did NOT bother to read his paperwork, which was very clearly labelled "NO" under extra procedures. He was to be neutered, ONLY. I'm not certain why they choose to hire illiterate technicians, but my fur kids will have a new doctor, and he/she will be holistic so that this error can never reoccur.

The Doctor was good I will say that!!!! But after My cat was kicked in the face by some kid. This place wanted to charge me 462.00 plus taxes to get my cats ashes back. Absolutely disgusting!!!!! I'm so tired of these Vets doing more for the money then for the animals and their families. I will never understand how or why you can charge this much and expect low income families to afford it.
