You must have seen that it has an average rating is virtually the best, and it's based on a very large number of opinions, so we may say that the valuation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian is classified in the category of Animal hospital.
The vet was amazing but the nurses and the lady at the front desk we’re horrible we told them over the phone we had 2 cats explained that we had TWO they booked the appointment when we came in they only put one of them in the appointment when we asked for both to go in at the same time they dident even know we had 2 cats not only this our cat is vary scared and they knew about this as its there first vet trip they did nothing to take this into accountability. We will never bring our cats back here because of this thanks for freaking my animals out!
Thank you so much for the fast effective treatment for Ruby's ears ❤ she feels much better, we've changed her diet and are hopeful that fixes the problem she was having, great customer service and COVID19 precautions in place for everyone's safety. Thank you see you again
We recently had to say good bye to our beloved 17 year old cat Schmoop, the staff and vets here were so very caring with her and us. Their love for animals is very apparent and their empathy for us pet parents is immense. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a caring vet. They have a large friendly staff who are very efficient. Their prices are good as well, we never felt overcharged and under served. Thank you for the last 4 years and when we do adopt another fur baby, we'll be back.
I took my dogs to see Dr. Stretch for over 20 years and am so sad to see him retire. I made the drive from Edmonton to take them to him. I have sadly been recently disappointed by the new management and will look for another clinic closer to my home.
I used to come to this clinic with my rescue dogs to see Dr.Stretch for dogs that needed luxating patella surgeries. He is fantastic but his wife screamed at me on the phone accused me of being rude with her staff when I was nothing but polite. There staff was breaking FOIP regarding my rescue files with previous adopters which they had no right to be doing that. This very unprofessional and when I stood up for.yself they got mad. When I called to book Dr.Stretch for a second opinion on one of my rescues I was told I wasted flagged client they could not help me. I asked why and spoke with Judy Stretch who yelled at me.When she calmed down she said maybe they would give me another chance and book me the following week then she hung up on me.
Dr. Elliot and the staff are beyond amazing. I've been taking my dog and cats there for 9 years and have always had nothing but the best service. They were beyond supportive when I had to unexpectedly put our cat down. They treat my Zeus like a King and have given me so much support in dealing with his diagnosis. I really love that Dr. Elliot actually listens to my concerns and answers all my questions in ways that I understand. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone at the clinic.
I brought my elderly family cat here to be put down due to health issues. And I came here because they were priced very reasonable and staff was very understanding and accommodating during our whole visit and for the duration we were there. Thank you to the vet and staff there.
Very happy with service and staff. All were friendly, highly organized, and professional.
Very caring staff. PPE,s required and used. By appt only.
In and out quick even during the pandemic very helpful
Very reasonable prices. Staff are great to work with and vets go through everything thoroughly.
Been taking my dogs there for years. The staff are always pleasant and is a nice clean atmosphere. They prices are great and a lot cheaper than the city, sometimes they feel bad about what they have to charge you. Highly recommend Spruce Grove vet.
Have dealt with this vet for 30+ years. Grew up in Spruce Grove, have always owned a pet. Great to deal with, know what they're talking about. Always there in an emergency! Always remember you ❤
They take good care of my boy , he's there once a month for an injection for an illness he has & they just saved his life removing a tumor causing serious issues. We're very grateful
Very nice staff. Brought my dog there to get neutered, they were very kind and gentle with our dog and did an amazing job. Our dog was all healed up in less then a week with no complications. Best prices too.
Brought my dog here for the first time 2 weeks ago. She had surprised us with a burst cyst on her thigh and had a pretty nasty hole that I'm sure would need stitches and our regular vet could not see her for a few days so I figured I'd look around before bringing her to emergency. I had my doubts I would find another vet on a busy Friday morning but when I called Spruce Grove veterinary clinic, I was told they were quite booked up but they offered to possibly see my dog that day if they had time. So I dropped her off and they treated her within a few hours and sent us off with an incredibly reasonable bill and some antibiotics. Such great and compassionate service. Every employee I interacted with there was so kind and caring. I will consider bringing my pets here now due to the wonderful treatment we received.
Vets are great! Admin I spoke with was useless. Wouldn't give me my own cat's vaccine record even though I have a legal separation agreement with my ex that says she's my property!
I've been attending this clinic for close to 40 yrs. Wonderful staff and great vets. Just love Dr Saker and Dr Kudla.
Well super good take my cat they took care of it super well thank you very much for your attention
Thank you for all you have done for my Jasmin.xoxo Seriously, thank you Dr. Renate Pfeifer
Prices are reasonable. Staff are amazing
Took my dog there for checkup and his shots price was excellent and the vet was awesome and price was one of the cheapest around.
Very friendly caring and wonderful staff.
Great place lots of t l c for our cat. Very friendly staff. Very caring and informative. They did a total follow up.
Love this place. Always a good experience. Unlike many other vets I go to.
Refused to see my dog in a medical emergency because I was not wearing a mask even though I have a medical exemption due to PTSD. Yes medical exemption signed by a Dr and they seen the letter. They also refused to release his medical records to me so I could take him somewhere else.
Owner Dr. Adrien Elliott is the reason I am leaving this review. I have witnessed her harass, yell and embarrass others (staff and clients at the vet clinic) but today is the final straw. Unfortunately, not only have I come into this clinic multiple times to purchase food, Adrien is also a client that comes into my work and has been verbally abuse to my staff on the phone and in person. I highly suggest going to any other vet clinic in town, or even check out Crestwood in West Edmonton - Dr. Scott is amazing btw. The way Adrien handles herself, is absolutely not acceptable and I wish she would take a hard look at why there are so many other negative reviews since she has taken over this practice. I will no longer support or be purchasing anything from this clinic.
I am so happy with the service provided by the veterinarians and the staff of the Spruce Grove Veterinary Clinic. They truly care about the animals they treat!
The best vet ever
This used to be our favourite vet and we have taken our dogs there for years. Since the new owners took over, I have been nothing but disappointed.
Dr. Pfeifer is the best❤
Very disappointed in this clinic, we have been taking our 4 animals here for 4 years, my cat had crystals in his urine. Was here 2 months ago to get x rays, blood work and medication in the end, spent over $300. The medication didn't work, I think because I screwed up the timing. I called back to see if they could just resubscribe me the exact same medication to save me money. The said no, I have to come back in, get another x ray done and then they could give me the medication. This is all about money and then just trying to make money off of me. I have heard a couple of times that they do this type of thing but I had never had it happen to me until now. I will it be returning and will never recommend this clinic to anyone.
I had one of the best experiences with the spruce Grove veterinary clinic My dog had to go in for double knee surgery they Made me feel quite confident in their skills And made me feel quite comfortable About the experience that I was going through I had never had to take an animal In for any kind of surgery I was quite nervous And they set my mind at ease It's just been over a week since my dog had her surgery And she is doing great Thank you so much Screws Grove veterinary clinic
In June of 2018 I was seeking a vet for a second opinion visit and a friend recommended Dr. Pfeifer. We were so impressed with her that we had our kitty's files transferred and she became our preferred vet. I almost didn't follow through with booking that first appointment as the front end staff was so rude, and that turned out to be a recurring pattern for the most part. I have posted a longer, more detailed review elsewhere but this is the short version: My senior kitty was on 5 medications ongoing, so I was a regular visitor to the clinic, and in a space of about 2 1/2 years have spent over $3500 here. On one occasion I had the "audacity" to question the pricing of a medication and this lead to Mrs. Stretch actually shouting at me in the parking lot when I went to pick up the meds. With other customers in earshot. Looking at other lowest rated reviews I see I am not the only one to experience her wrath. When it comes to the point that your well paying customers are that much of an annoyance to you, I think you should think about retiring! Further, this was a compounded prescription from Strathcona Pharmacy, which we've been ordering since we started visiting this clinic, and she insisted I now pick it up myself, in old Strathcona, during their hours of 9-5 weekdays! She could have asked me to simply prepay and pick up at the clinic but chose to go one step further to intentionally make the life a client more difficult. That was just a mean, spiteful and totally unprofessional move on her part. It's hard to believe that someone with a stake in the business would behave that way. There were also 7 instances when the medications I ordered were incorrectly filled (incorrect quantities, forgotten additives, wrong concentration of prednisolone, not a reflection of Dr. Pfeifer at all as they seemed to be filled randomly by other vets). A couple of times I tried speaking to an actual person instead of using the prescription refill line and while this seemed to result in more accurate refills, I was scolded by front end staff for doing so, even when I told them why. My beloved cat has recently passed away and although I would like to bring any future adopted kitties to see Dr. Pfeifer, I just can't support the management of this clinic. Take your business elsewhere. Management here clearly cares only about their money and not your pet's health, and apparently has never heard of a thing called customer service.
My family has been going here since my grandfather's pets. We drive from Edmonton just because we trust them and the prices are good.
For most parts good. Last time I took our dog to the clinic I had a student vet and she could not answer most of my questions.
The veteran in Spruce Grove we couldn't have had the best Dr Lewis was very understanding talked us through what they were going to do. Unfortunately this had to done our two beloved cats for seventeen years had to cross the rainbow bridge. Dr Lewis thank yu very much for your help and support. Yu are amazing ????????????????
My little kitten Biscuits hurt his leg, probably jumping down from a cat tree or something else too high for him. Thank goodness for me that I live so close! I phoned and they were full, but could fit him in. I could tell it was a very busy day for them! I've never seen that many people moving around. But they got him in much sooner than they predicted, gave him medication, and gave great advice. I'm so grateful for their professionalism, understanding, and their incredible service even in the middle of a pandemic. You couldn't convince me to use another vet clinic! Absolutely magnificent. My little boy is no longer in pain! Massive shout out to all of the staff. All of them! The vet who phoned with info on what happened, the front counter who gave me info on wait times and what to expect, the vet techs who looked after him ... all of you are so appreciated. People take for granted that this isnt just a pet, but a family member, and you took me from having a horrible day and crying out of worry for a little baby kitten to feeling much more calm, knowing he will be okay, hes in no pain at all, and he'll be healthy again soon.
We travel all the way from Edmonton to go see doctor Stretch in Spruce Grove and it's worth every minute. Dr Stretch is a last of a good breed of veterinarians pun intended if you have a chance to see doctor Stretch before he retires please go do it our favour Vet of all time thank you Doctor Stretch. Love Tim and Dar ...... but Bonita our dog .....not too sure. ????????????????????????????????????????????????
We have been seeing Dr Stretch for years and he’s absolutely the best vet I’ve ever been to. He’s extremely kind and patient, and I feel like I’ve always been able to trust his recommendations. I never feel pressure to get extra tests and the services provided are affordable. All the other staff members at the clinic have always been kind and helpful. Highly recommend even if you live in the edmonton area... worth the short drive.
They are much cheaper than any veterinary clinic in Edmonton and still provide the best care for our dog. He had some lumps removed, some tooth extractions and twice tooth cleaning and they gave him the best care. I would never take him to another vet.
Best experience - Dr. Stretch is experienced, concerned and genuinely interested in healing my dogs issue.
We have been going for years, reception can be unkind, and short with clients. The actual Vet's are excellent.
I hate to do this but I am moving to another vet. I had an injured dog that required immediate attention and we were turned away because I was one minute past close. This is unforgivable.
We saw Dr. Gingras, she was very friendly, informative, and gentle with my pup. This clinic is very clean and all the staff I interacted with were very kind and professional. I will definitely be coming here from now on. Totally worth the drive.
Dr. Stretch is an amazing man and vet So compassionate, our pets love him.
The services rendered over the last few days were traumatic and not professional. I was a walk in appointment, so granted I knew timings would be slow, however, staff that lead you to a room should not say, "It'll be just a coupla minutes for the vet" (in reality this equates to at least 15-30 mins maximum, so waiting was not the issue). In my case that was 67 minutes later with no check ins. Staff should not give a time frame and should only say the vet will be with you when they can. Covid and emergencies changed timings understandably. I was treated like my time didn't matter. Furthermore, the next afternoon when I came in for an euthanization appointment, it was very cold and felt like I was just another number. My lasting memory is of my dog howling and fighting being put to sleep and then crammed into a tiny random supply box. Initially, I was told to walk out the front carrying his body, which in my opinion is not great for the busy waiting room to see. I had to ask for a back door. As well, the vet acted nervous, or that's the energy that was perceived, of being bit by an old toothless small dog. There was no "let's lay him on a blanket on the table, IV hooked to the back legs so the animal doesn't see what is going on, have him sedated, calm and relaxed, and then you hold his head as we apply the last sleeping dose." My experience was I had him howling and fighting in a chokehold on the ground trying to hold his front leg out enough for her to give a single overdose. Very traumatizing and I don't believe other clients should be treated this way. I was referred to this clinic from multiple people based upon customer service, professionalism and costs, yet the visits I've had were far from it. I’ve had more respect and consideration from strangers than the treatment received from this clinic.
Such caring staff and great prices ????
Called here to get my cat in when he wasn't doing well and my regular vet couldn't get him in. They were able to get him in same day and all the staff I encountered were great! Had to go back the next 2 days (as the vet had expected we would) and still had great experiences. Even decided to switch to them as our regular vet! They take the time to explain things, keep you updated and answered all my questions.
WAY OVER CHARGED!!! Out first experience, Way over charged us from what we were quoted on the phone. Price went from eg. $86 on the phone to $285+ at time to pay. I was in the room the entire time. Nothing changed. When I asked why it was so much more we were told we had been mistaken. No one would have said that price. Our second experience, We had an appointment in the morning at a certain time and showed up early to be met at the door rudely by a worker. She had said she didn’t care if we had an appointment we would have to wait in our car about a half hour before we could get in. I said we had another appointment in the city we could not change. A half hour went by and I still couldn’t go in and drop my pets. When I called into the office as I was leaving the lady on the phone gave me a speech about covid and they are still trying to figure out how to handle things. I said not to use covid as an excuse because it’s been over 10 months. Our company has been open during the entire pandemic and we have saftey protocols in place that work. We have 40 employees and no one is sick. So get it sorted out. She became quite rude and shut down and for these reasons I will not go back and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!
Been going here for 15 years Dr Lewis is the best
Our puppy's Dr was so wonderful, you can tell they absolutely love animals there!! We also had a bit of dealings with the staff so very thoughtful too!!...Never felt more happy to bring our pup to these guys, I can see why out neighbor recommended them. He was a very contented boy!!
The staff and Dr really care about the needs of your pet
Always overcrowded and waiting times are too long. Hard to keep pets content while they wait. But staff are great at what they do and treat our dog and cats well once in an office.
They have always treated our dog Java amazingly right until his last breath. Highly recommend.
Very helpful on cremation of are lovely 14 year old pom we thank you Scott and Bard Dunphy
Great there were vere caring in a hard time i will always go to them
All the staff are amazing!!!. They always treat our dog with such care and work their hardest to calm him down (he's a bit of a baby).
SGVC took great care of our dog, who hates going to the vet and gets very frightened. The vet was amazing at communicating with us prior to and after surgery. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.
Such a great group of ladies that work here. Very helpful and polite!
