Prices are outrageous. Also, they still don’t allow you to come in with your pet, which is unacceptable. What they don’t seem to understand is that you are paying for a level of service that they are not providing, as they sure haven’t lowered their prices to accommodate the total lack of customer service which is included in all pricing. They act like they are doing you a favour for even allowing your pet to be treated there. It’s like playing that children’s game Telephone trying to get all the correct information to the dr but it rarely does. It is SO frustrating repeating yourself over and over again and then the dr is frustrated with you for apparently not giving them the right info. It is a cold and indifferent approach to treating our well-loved family members.

Came in to get a tooth cleaning and an extraction on our dog. Waited an hour outside the clinic to have the dog taken inside, and then an hour outside waiting for them to give me the dog. You'd think for $1,300 they'd at least be respectful of their client's time instead of setting two appointments and then being an hour late for both.

i have had animals for over 30 years and the vets and staff at this clinic are top notch. They are truly passionate about the well being of the animals they look after and are equally attentive to the owners to ensure questions are answered. The follow up is amazing. I would highly recommend this clilnic to anyone!

If your dog doesn't have any fear or anxiety, then I recommend this place. Medically, Dr. Emily really knows her stuff! Unfortunately, I had to switch vets because my puppy is fearful of people and the staff at this clinic does not use modern, science-based methods for handling issues like that. However, if my puppy wasn't afraid then I would absolutely still be taking her to this clinic.

After taking my dog to a different clinic in the city for almost 8 years, they were sold to one of the larger companies, and they lost the personal touch we loved so much. So a referral brought us here - and even though I haven't gone inside or met them outside of the exchange of my dog outside the door (COVID restrictions) - I was so impressed with the attention to detail & customer service. The vet (Alissa) called before & after the exam, and was extremely thorough, and had great customer service. We are happy to now call Southwood our vet!

My cat and I had such a wonderful experience! Everyone who helped us was so kind and genuine, they were very clear and upfront with treatment options, and my cat was so calm afterwards (I wasn't allowed in due to covid, but she seemed completely fine with the whole experience). They also sent us home with a toy and a couple of treats as a first-time-visit gift, and loads of useful information. I'm super happy with my experience and we'll definitely be sticking with Southwood Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Emily Saved me $400 and properly diagnosed my Cat. After I was told by a different vet that my cat required blood work, we came to this vet because the price was a bit more budget friendly for blood work. After a proper exam Dr. Emily found my cat did not require a blood test, and treated my cat for what was really going on. Saved us money for not doing services that were not necessary with that, they have our trust and appreciation, this is our go to vet now.

It was my first visit at this location and it was a nice experience. I was very embarrassed by the fact that my dogs vaccines weren't updated like they should be, yet they were not judgemental and treated me kindly. Also my dog is a pitbull and they didn't hesitate to help! Through the pandemic they have a great and positive attitude, thank you guys! I will be going there again :)

I brought my 4-month-old puppy in her for her routine vaccines & check-up and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The vet, TAs, and reception staff were all very friendly and accommodating and were great with our dog. They gave us a super cute welcome baggie with treats and made us both feel comfortable. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend them :)

We followed Dr. Emily when moved her practice to Southwood, and our 2 cats and 1 dog are better for it! Dr. Emily, and the whole Southwood team, are so passionate about their patients - the care and love they exude is parallel to none. We’ve had a few emergencies arise with our animals over the years, and during each of these occasions the Southwood team has walked us through our options, evaluated the cost/benefit analysis of each option, and offered suggestions with respect to each course of action. We have never felt pressured to pick the “right” choice, but in every situation have chosen what is best for our little fur family. If you want the absolute best care for your pet, I cannot recommend Dr. Emily - or Southwood - enough!

Bridget treated my cat and I with zero respect. First of all she started out by yelling at me and arguing about what a reception told me over the phone, the info they gave me was not true by any means. Then blamed me. Here I am, a paying customer and brought my cat to get help. Made me feel terrible She looked in my cats mouth for two seconds, tried to book in for a dental ($$$$) and shrugged off the real symptoms and problems my cat was having. I feel like this facility takes advantage of people in stressful situations and all she cared about was the money. Offering to do procedures that were completely unnecessary. Absolutely no compassion and wouldn't hear me out at all. This is the second time misdiagnosing here. Obviously we needed to do a couple tests to figure out what was wrong but it was the money grabbing get me in for a dental BS that made me go for a couple more opinions. Turns out my cat has IBD it should have been recognized considering my cats history with stomach problems. Not to do with her teeth. This is life threatening and I'm so glad I found somewhere else to help. People are always looking for an HONEST VET. BRIDGET : TAKE MORE TIME WITH YOUR PRACTICE AND HAVE SOME COMPASSION

We called in to many different vets in and around the city for price estimates regarding a certain procedure, and Southwood was one of the only vets that not only gave us a full explanation of the procedure, but a clear and transparent breakdown of the costs. During our kitty’s appointments, Dr. Emily (as well as vet tech. Courtney) took the time to address everything she noticed and answered every single question we had without rushing. All options were always given to us without pressuring us to choose one over the other, and nothing was done to our kitty without our informed consent. Although you can find cheaper vet prices by driving an hour out of the city, we would rather come to this clinic because we know our kitty is getting the best care possible and we’re informed on our kitty’s health every step of the way.

Extremely Kind and caring! I had to take my beloved cat Jammie into be euthanized. I really did not have a relationship with any particular vet. My niece helped find Southwood Veterinary Hospital. They got us in with 1 days notice and allowed me to bring my other cat so he could be with his bestie at the end. Dr. Harris was gracious and so very very kind???? Saying goodbye to a fur baby is never easy and Dr. Harris and staff went above and beyond to lessen the difficulty as much as they could. I will be forever grateful I would highly recommend this clinic!

My dog just need something help him to puke. They want to put him into sedation to check his throat... I end up drove to Shoppers 2am in the morning to buy H2O2, and did by myself. So what's the point I paid $108 for a body exam which just had been checked 1 week ago at my dog's birthday?!
