GREAT vet clinic. Your animals are really taken care of, and the staff is great with them. I got my Doberman puppy's ears done here, and they are excellent! Plus, 4 free re-postings and the antibiotics and pain killers are a one time injection they give at the clinic (really works! My boy had no problem with pain).They did an excellent job not just with his ears, but taking care of him as well. He was not locked up in a cage when I picked him up but was laying down at the front with the receptionist. When I went for my first re-posting Dr.Romus gave me a couple hints and tips on helping my boys ears heal faster. And they are working! Such a great place to take your animals. Highly recommended. Not pricey at all, VERY decent prices. Dr.Romus and staff are excellent with your animal.

This vet was the worst experience I've ever had, he completely butchered a fairly easy ear crop that 2 other Vets said was a complete disaster when i showed them. two different sizes and collapsed my pups ears. He didn't ask any Questions wouldn't even give me the decency to return my call or apologize afterwards. Do yourself a favour take my advice and don't let this place touch your pet!!!! Had to go get bandaging and tape from a another vet who was trying to fix this guys disaster <<

I have been taking my dog Kohai to Dr Romus since she was 8 weeks old. she is now 3 years old. He is a great vet to go to and someone that talks to you in a way that is understandable and answers any questions you may have. His staff is great and really do like to interact with the different animals that come in. His prices compared to other clinics are very reasonable and makes ya wonder how much other clinics are upping there prices. If you are in need of a vet..or are looking to change vets i would highly recommend going here..

Disappointed. I use to love this clinic and the veterinarians who worked there. Ownership has changed, and the last two times I've been there it was a complete waste of time. My experience included long wait times and frustration with not being able to get the medication my very old dog needed to stay comfortable. I'm sad to say, I'll need to find a new clinic.

I can confidently recommend Ranchlands Veterinary Clinic and Dr Teodorescu. Our 6 year old Weimaraner (Heidi) tore her ACL and was unable to put any weight on her leg. Dr Teodorescu gave her a thorough exam and diagnosed the problem. He patiently explained the possible surgical treatments and the financial implications of each. A second veterinary surgeon was brought into the office to confirm the diagnosis and assist in the procedure. The staff were compassionate with me and with my dog. The surgery was a huge success and now we are challenged with slowing Heidi down for the duration of her recovery period. She is walking better every day and will soon be allowed to run to her heart's content. It was a major surgery but the bill was extremely fair and the care was outstanding from our first appointment to our follow-up visit.

The vet here really knows his stuff. He was able to detect a heart murmer during a pre check, that our original vet didn't know was there, and a third vet only noticed after some sedation. He informed us that these were common in puppies and that there could be some risks with anesthesia, but since we drove all the way from winnipeg, we decided to proceed. The procedure went extremely quick and our doberman was out and back to her normal self when we picked her up later that afternoon. We left the posts in, and on the 8th day took them out before going to the vet to get stitches removed, and as you can see they were already almost standing. He performed a unique crop which is medium in length and cleaned up the tragus so that it gives a more clean look, I think this also assists in them standing faster since it's now almost the 2 week mark, and the few times we had to repost they still stay standing even after a couple hours out of post. Overall i would definitely recommend this vet for your ear croppings.

Terrible experience. I said I did not want to see my dogs surgery, they told me to come back in one hour so I did. When I returned they said they are just finishing up go see. And what do I see? my dog still under anesthesia, his cut off ears on the side table like nothing and hes being stitched up. Exactly what I did not want to see. The vet was very passive, the staff were nice and great. Instant regret. His ears are doing great and look great, but I will never put another dog through that. He screamed coming out of anesthesia which is normal, but again I was not prepared to see/hear this. This is not my first doberman, so I am familiar with the experience, I just did not find this place to be very professional especially after spending 1000 dollars.

I inherited a six-year-old dog and she quickly became my whole life. She needed her shots updated, had terrible breath, a little overweight and five unpleasant looking skin tags. I researched who was the most reasonable and recommended veterinarian in Calgary's NW and Dr. Romas' name came up several times on different sites. When I met him and his staff, I wasn't disappointed. All the wonderful things the reviews said about him were true and his prices are the best around. I'm a penny pincher so when he quoted me a hefty price to have my dog's teeth cleaned and check for possible extractions, I was hesitant as it seemed like a lot of money. I went home and again did my homework, while I worked a second job in order to save the money to have the dental work done. Her breath was getting worse and whenever I touched her cheeks or ears she would nip at me. I was sure small town vets in and around Calgary would be cheaper but they were not. Also, Dr. Romas took off the skin tags and had them checked for cancer for nothing since my dog was already under anesthetic for her cleaning teeth. The skin tags were not cancerous and she ended up having two teeth extracted. I recommend you take your pet to see this vet who is honest and cares more about the animal than taking you for your money. A couple of times I was concerned about my dog and Dr. Romas looked at her and said not to be concerned and didn't charge me anything.

Very very impressed!! Dr.Teodorescu was great with our dog. He has been suffering for quite some time with and eye and ear problem that no one cold seem to figure out. 5 mins in the door and we had a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Dr.Teodorescu and his wife were very helpful and caring. They even stayed open for us on a Saturday so we could get him checked out. 4 days into treatment and we have our dog back. He is feeling 120% better and is back to his playful self. I will recommend ranchlands veterinary to everyone!!!

I made an appointment for my dog since I didn't want to drive all the way to Strathmore to visit our regular vet... the doctor was in a hurry and he didn't answer my questions properly, the whole visit did last 5 minutes at the most... Then, when I booked the appointment they said the charge per visit was $60 but they actually charged me $78 just for the visit, plus medication I paid about $120. The visit price is about average but I would appreciate if they were truthful about their prices over the phone. Very disappointed with my experience at this clinic. The reviews were so promising but for me and my doggie it was quite disappointing. Not very good service :(

I was referred there by my friend when my 11 old year dog became very ill suddenly. The staff and vet there took us in immediately and they were very compassionate and caring. My dog ended up passing away there within an hour due to his severe illness and the staff were very accommodating and let us grieve until we were ready to leave. I was laid off work at the time as well and I have to mention that their prices for care are extremely reasonable and they are understanding and work with you regarding fees for services. Overall a very wonderful Clinic that actually cares about your pets and not how much money they can make.

Everytime I see him, I leave knowing that I got the best possible care, without any frills or gimmicks that I find myself worrying about with other vets. I was allowed to decide on the type of cropping that I preferred on my puppy also permitted to view the procedure while being done. The environment was very clean and sterile. This was my first time at this clinic and was very nervous about it and the staff and vet made me very comfortable during the he whole procedure. The owner veternarian was the most obnoxious immature vet i have ever met they made mistake after mistake and when I complained about their lack of professionalism they refused to perform the procedure i had booked and the animal had fasted over 15 hours 8 without water and sat in a crate in their backroom for 3 hours please dont stress your animals out taking them to this vet who is useless we also spent hundreds of dollars on another animal who was sick and they couldnt identify the cause of the illness until the cat was so sick it had to be put down. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE VET

I took both my dogs in for a check up (Fall 2020) was charged $280 and rushed in and out of there in under 7 minutes. $280 for 7 minutes of time and a of couple rushed shots. I mentioned concerns about our male dog and was laughed at and given the response "welcome to having male dogs". I pay $280 for advice I could get from a snooty teenager. Go to a vet that takes their time with your pet and addresses your concerns. Don't go here.

I went to Ranchlands for the first time when my toy Pom fractured her tibia and needed a follow up appointment with x rays to see how it was healing. Honestly, with this injury I may have contacted 7 doctors prior to coming to ranchlands and I’m so glad I did. The got her x rays done immediately and they didn’t over charge me (like most clinics have in the past). They got me in right away (the same day). It was just a really good experience for me. I live downtown with loads of clinics around me and I would rather make the compute to rachlands then go somewhere more convenient , that good! :)

Dr. Sam is fantastic. She has been our Great Dane's vet for almost 2.5 years and we have had nothing but exceptional care from her. Our girl does not do well with male vets and Dr. Sam goes out of her way to make Daphne feel safe and cared for. Last Sunday, I texted Dr. Sam with an issue when the clinic was closed and she immediately set up a care plan and an appointment for our girl. She frequently checked in with us this past week to see how Daphne was coming along. Dr. Sam and her staff are amazing and I am so pleased that she is our vet! Recently I moved to a new neighborhood and figured we would give a closer vet office a try for our cats prescription. Called to request a refill and was told they would have it the next day. They would call me when it was ready for pickup. Day 1: Requested to refill the prescription. Day 2: Prescription is supposed to be ready. No phone call received. Day 3: I call to ask if they have it. They don't, they've been having a problem with their distributor forgetting supplies and it will be in tomorrow. Day 4: I receive a voicemail telling me the same thing. The prescription still isn't ready, they're having a problem with their distributor forgetting supplies and it will be in tomorrow. Day 5: No phone call received. At this point I'm tired of being left hanging with the same excuse twice in a row. Very unprofessional, this problem should have been solved by day four - talk to the distributor and get the problem solved, no excuses - but once again I'm told it's someone else's fault and we'll have to keep waiting. I cancelled the prescription refill. Switching back to my old vet, we never had a problem with their service. Driving across town might be an annoyance, but if it means we get what we need the first time around it's worth it. Ranchlands Vet Clinic clearly doesn't care enough about us to want us as new clients. Good riddance, if this is how they treat their customers I don't want to be their client either.

Very kind staff, very cheap prices in comparison to other vet clinics in Calgary. The experience was different for sure and they get everything done almost too fast it seems in comparison to other vet clinics but not necessarily a bad thing! Just not my thing. Had to reschedule my kittens neutering appointment due to the person on the phone booking me in as a different family member(after relaying my first and last name and both of my cats names)and calling other said family member to cancel the day of the appointment. I understand mistakes happen but it was a little frustrating. Some pros and some cons to every business you just gotta find what suits you.

I went to Ranchlands to get my Dogo Argentino''s ears cropped. The vet let me watch the whole procedure, I'm glad that I was able to because I got to make sure the ears were the perfect length. The vet is very experienced and knowledgeable. The ears turned out better than I expected! They did a wonderful job at stitching them up and the staff were very gentle with prepping him for surgery. This vet shows no compassion for dog owners who are unable to pay for expensive diagnostic tests. My dog had a stage 4 heart murmur, diagnosed by this vet. He would not put her on heart medication until I had an ultrasound done (cost $560). As she got worse, I took her to another vet who immediately gave her 3 heart medications without the ultrasound. It was too late. My dog died a week later.

I Just had my Cane Corso's ears cropped and her tail docked today and he did a great job. I watched the entire operation which was great! I felt more comfortable being with my baby Corso during the procedure! The girls were so good with her before and after surgery and gave her so much love and attention! I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Romas. The place is more casual than other vets, but the girls working at the front are so friendly, helpful and understanding. Dr Romas really does care about the HEALTH of your pet, unlike some vets who just see dollar signs when you walk in the door. He doesn't do unnecessary procedures or prescribe unnecessary medications and his prices are very reasonable. He knows what he is talking about. I've been to a couple other vets and I have always left disappointed, still with questions or with a much thinner wallet. We went to see Dr Romas for another opinion and it was much simpler and less costly to figure out what was actually going on. I would highly recommend Ranchlands. : )

Dr Romas has looked after our two dogs and cat for the past few years. We found him when we searched for a vet who would clean our dog's teeth without extracting them. Dr Romas did just that - our dogs came home with glistening white teeth at the same cost that our previous vet would have charged for extractions. Dr Romas is very gentle with our pets, they don't have any anxiety going to his office. His rates are quite reasonable as well. All staff members are very helpful and friendly.

I really like vet here. Doctor cares about animals not like other clinics I have been just care about how much money they can make from our pets. I took my cat to a clinic on country hill Blvd. in the beginning and my cat was old. vet didn't check details as a old cat suppose to be, but told me that she needed dental instead and it will cost $800. vet made me believe my cat's illness was just because of her teeth. after 3 months I brought her to Ranchlands and vet caught her problem right away, it's nothing to do with teeth and it was too late. I got to took my cat to emergency hospital. and vet from hospital told me if vet could have caught the problem 3 months earlier we could have saved her life. As a old cat, vet should check some details and should be able to catch it. I used to take my cat to do health examination every year in my country. I even provided vet on country hill Blvd. my cat's record and her health history but vet there didn't care. Knowing it will cost lots money at emergency hospital. vet from Ranchlands lent me my cat's X-Ray before I took my cat to emergency hospital. I believe Ranchlands Veterinary Clinic is the best choice in NW Calgary.

My 20 year old cat was in distress when I got home late afternoon on a Saturday. I knew the time was coming when I had to put him down, one just never knows when. I called them after having called 3 places and being refused. Ranchlands Vet Clinic said to bring him in right away, we'll wait for you. They waited for us, took my cat in right away and put the cat down so humanely. They were comforting and compassionate as well. I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone who has a pet, they care...

I have had very good service from the Ranchlands Clinic. When my dog was bit in the ear and my previous vet would not have an appointment to look at him for three days I stopped at the Ranchlands clinic and they took the dog right away and stopped the bleeding. I think that is what you want in a vet , someone who is there when you need them never mind you do not have an appointment. Since then my dog as had surgery at the Ranchlands clinic and that also turned out well. I would recommend the Ranchlands Clinic to everyone.

My kitten was neutered at the clinic. The receptionist was lovely and answered all my questions before and after the procedure with patience and expertise. I did not meet the vet during this visit. The only improvement that I can suggest is that they ask if they can cut the claws. Vets do such a great job of trimming them.I am used to a routine claw cutting from past vets and did not ask for this service but it would have been appreciated.
