This Vet. Clinic obviously only caters to larger animals after hours, so if you have a pet you care about, go elsewhere because this clinic expects you to take them to Red Deer. Their Web page also needs updating because they state they care 24/7 for your pet. Vet got message at 6:10 and still did not call me at all to even reassure me of what i could do.

The vet was really helpful too, with explaining and getting my opinion on what route of medication would be more comfortable for me to give to my dog. I have had nothing but great experiences with them. I would definitely recommend them and there prices are very reasonable.

My mothers husky cross was brutally attacked yesterday morning just before 6 am. The on call vet, Dr. Jacob's ignored his text completely...no contact what so ever..not even a follow up call when he did get into work at 9 am. The lady who did answer the after hours call directed my Elderly mother to drive her ripped up dog to red deer. My review is unless you have livestock dont utilize this clinic because if your pet has an after hours emergency the vet on call can just choose to ignore his calls and texts Take your business to Central Veterinary Clinic instead. No one should be treated with such disrespect when they are facing a life or death crisis a beloved family member(pet). I'd have given this place 0 stars if I had that option because that's how helpful they were when we needed help.

This is a great vet clinic. I've just started taking my Bengal kittens there for their first check up and vaccines. The vet was very knowledgeable and friendly and was amazing with the kittens! The front staff was also super friendly. I highly recommend them!

Have been bringing my doggies here yearly for years. Personable and caring. My dog just had a teeth cleaning and a little bump taken off her leg. She tolerated the procedure well and was back to herself within a day.

I find it absolutely horrifying that this vet clinic “shares” being on call for emergencies with central vet and instead of taking care of emergencies themselves, they send all emergencies during their on call week to red deer, which is the only emergency clinic in central alberta and are too busy to handle all of the emergencies themselves. I find it offensive that at 11pm we had to drive two dogs that were stressed and in pain with porcupine quills in their faces 40 mins to red deer and wait for 2 hours in the car for them to be seen and taken care of. Had it been the central vet clinics on call week, we could have been seen in PONOKA. What a shame of a vet clinic.

TOOK MY dogs in for a check up in red deer they wanted to do a 4000 surgery told the vets the issue we did not have to put dog down to check out as of red deer they had the right meds for him brought my other dog in this year they had him check out fully vac and she is now ready to work and eat any drug addict come into my shop so thank you for the fast service and great job checking them out

Dr Pierse is an outstanding Vet. She is patient, very knowledgeable, thorough, and most of all, caring. When our baby dog got sick, she treated him successfully and gave us almost 2 more happy years with him, till we sadly had to say goodbye.
