You must have seen that the average score it has is quite good, and it is based on a very high number of scores, so we may conclude that the rating is very credible. If people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write opinions when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Would like to say thanks to all the staff and especially Dr. Dani for taking the extra care above and beyond what's was expected in taking care of my cat... driving from one side of the city 40k plus and then do what they did to make my cat feel and have a great recovery is a something special I wI'll recommend to every pet owner I know to take the drive to this clinic cause there is no other in its class .. thank you parkland clinic! ! Dr. Dani and her staff you all rock !!! Merci from midnight :)
Dr Ashleigh Bauer’s kindness and compassion is what makes her so special. She guided Sparky’s care through a very complicated and lengthy illness. We are forever grateful to her and her team.
My experience with Parkland Veterinary Clinic was overall productive and helpful for me and had a great outcome for my spaniel who has suffered for a long time with ear problems due to allergies. The Vet that examined my dog was thorough and gave me excellent information, provided immediate comfort and treatment to my dog and sent me away with lots of support, medications and the promise of follow-up. the bill did not break the bank either
I adopted a dog from a rescue group last year and I recently found out that none of the information was changed over to my boyfriend and I. I called Parkland, where he was neutered and tattooed, and asked to see if the information had been updated. The woman on the phone was so rude. She told me that she didn't know if I had the dog or if I was "some crazy person". I understand that there are privacy documents in place, but that is just unprofessional. I work at a vet clinic myself and if I ever spoke to a client that way I would be hearing about it. Also, when I adopted my dog, his neuter had been done horribly. Remains of sutures had been left in and accessed. Good job Parkland.
I have dealt with Parkland Vet a number of times over the past four years. From typical shots to helping me with my very nervous rescue dog. Figuring out how best to integrate him into my home, which shots he should get and how to help him go from a life of pit fighting violence to family pet. We have had life saving surgery two days before Christmas for my daughters cat. Diagnosing cancer and saying goodbye to my husbands cat. And everything in-between. The one thing that never changes is the AMAZING care for both fur baby and fur parent. Parkland Vet is worth the drive and I will never go anywhere else.
I’m absolutely floored at the way my mom was treated tonight when we called this clinic tonight begging for some close by help. We called the after hours number that was posted online. It said they are open until 11 pm and someone will always be available to answer questions and to please call if there’s an emergency. So we called and we really needed immediate help with my moms senior dog. The clinic was supposed to be able to give assistance until 11 pm. We called before 9 pm. After we said what was going on,we were told by the vet that was supposed to be on call that she “couldn’t really help” because she just got off a flight and told us to “go to the city for an emergency” we didn’t have time.... Did this really just happen? I’ve never experienced anything like this from veterinarian in my whole life and I hope no one ever makes the mistake of calling this place when they are reaching out for help or advice. We needed a vet more than anything at that moment and we had to deal with a “vet” that claims they can’t help because of a flight they were on? Why are they on call? We finally got in touch with another clinic and they were amazing. They gladly helped us straight away and they were just as shocked and disgusted as we were about the treatment we received. I’m honestly in disbelief as I’m typing this. Please go somewhere else if your pet needs help. You won’t find it here
When Dr. Woods was the vet at this clinic it was phenomenal, however has gone significantly gone downhill. I have waited an hour both times I've gone, plus their fees are outrageous. I will not be returning and I have had my dogs go there for 17 years. So so disappointed.
I have to say this is by far the best bet office I've ever had to deal with, there one of this old school knowledge doctors that tell you straight, they don't make you get extra stuff done when they know your animal is suffering. I trust Dr woods and her staff and there experience. A few months ago I had to put my boy Duke to sleep as he was having old age issues that couldn't be helped... since the pandemic other vet clinics won't let you in when it's time to put your pet to sleep. Dr woods let me have that by keeping him with me and I got to hold him as she put him to sleep. I needed that last goodbye and she let me have that, ill be forever grateful for that. I highly recommend her and her staff and will continue to see her as her advice is valuable.
There are no words for how great this place is
If you have a small dog who is very nervous I recommend Dr Bauer. She was so gentle and new how to handle my fur baby. He has always emptied his anual glands while getting his nails done. Not with these guys which tells me he wasn't terrified !! Well done crew !
We see the clinic owner and her daughter-in-law for most of our animals and have a good rapport with most of the Vets.
Best VET Marge is awesome has been caring for my dogs since early to mid 90s
Outstanding! Just hands down one of the best experiences of all time! Honestly can't say enough how great full I am to have been met with such professional and caring service. Dr.woods was passionate and understanding to my concerns for my fur baby, I felt comfortable with asking questions and I felt understood when expressing my concerns. Thank you so much! We have made this vet clinic our go too!
Been going to Parkland Vet for many many years with multiple pets . Dr Marg Wood , and Dr Dani Wood and staff are nothing short of amazing. For regular visits, emergency visits and everything in between, I trust them whole heartedly with my pets to give them the best care and to give advice when im feeling lost and hopeless. I hope you know how much you are appreciated for your hard work and dedication to animal care.
Friendliest admin staff that I've ever encountered. Incredibly accommodating, informative, professional, and above all, friendly! Heather is just a treat to speak to over the phone :) Thank you, Doggo, Highside
I love this place! I bring my two kitties here and they are so well taken care of by the staff. Everyone is kind and they answer even the silliest of my questions. They're covid policy is awesome, I feel safe entering this business every time I have to. As long as we live in Spruce, we'll be coming here with our pets.
Excellent Care, we have had dogs for many years, by far Dr. Bauer is the best Veterinarian we have had. Excellent Communication always advising status of our dog, she explains things thoroughly, also excellent staff. They go above and beyond what is expected. We are very appreciative of the care they provide.
They saved my Boston from parvo at 2.5 pounds and 2 and a half months old. They were helpful and polite and so so understanding. I would recommend them to anyone.
I use Parkland Vet for our rescue kitties. All the vets and staff are wonderful people who go above and beyond everytime I call. Thank you Marg and staff for all you do
My dog got all her veterinary care at this clinic, just shy of 13 years. They fit us in on a booked up day to say goodbye to accomodate my needs, I am so grateful.. I could not contain myself and ugly cried the entire time - I'm sure it was unpleasant for everyone, and they remained kind and professional.
Dr. Waterman is incredible. I can't thank him enough. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! (This is a lengthy review, I will warn you now). To understand how big of an impact he has had, you'd have to understand where we've been. Beginning in January 2018 - my west highland terrier, Sophie, developed blistering rashes on her lower lips, chin, shoulders, back, bum and tummy (photos attached). For 5 months, my dog was followed by a Vet in Edmonton (not Dr. Waterman) who assured me it was a food allergy, and basically just something we'd have to work out. We changed her diet - she was put on a limited ingredient dog food - treats were dehydrated meat only - everything else was removed. The rash began to worsen and spread. Every two weeks, we'd return to get more antibiotics, and were told the same story 'it's an allergy'. Frustrated, and tired of spending hundreds of dollars seemingly getting no where, I searched online and found Parkland Vet Clinic. The entire experience was pleasant. Beautiful clinic and friendly staff. That's when we met Dr. Waterman. Great bedside manner, and fantastic with animals. Upon reviewing Sophie's scabs - he said "this is NOT an allergy!" He suspected Staph Infection and suggested that we remove her from all antibiotics so that we could do a culture and sensitivity to find exactly what the bug was susceptible to - instead of blindly treating her, hoping for the best. We came back a few weeks later, and the culture was performed. Within days, Dr. Waterman was calling me with results. It was Staph and E-Coli. Sophie was then put on a 2 week dose of antibiotics and given a medicated shampoo. As the 2 weeks was coming to an end - the scabs were dramatically reducing. Her itching had gone away completely and she just had a few bumps here and there. Dr. Waterman called me again - this time to check in on Sophie - to see how she was responding to the medication. He recommended another 2 rounds of the treatment. It has been almost two weeks since then, and I am so unbelievably happy to say that Sophie is almost 100% cleared up. A few tiny bumps remain - but they are growing smaller every day. (Healthy photo of my happy girl is attached as well) Dr. Waterman is knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and truly cares about what he does. He has followed up with me on countless occasions. Thank you so very much! I am soo happy to have found such an amazing vet and clinic for our pets. Also, this clinic is VERY reasonably priced. Thank you again! Becca at reception, and all the other staff - thank you!
The vets at Parkland are absolutely wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about them. Very caring, kind and compassionate. We have been taking our pets there for many years. Their rates are also very reasonable. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!! However, there is one particular woman (older lady) that works at the front desk and her customer service skills are atrocious. Whenever you call she makes it seem like you are a major inconvenience to her day. She is very condescending in the way she speaks to you. This is very unfortunate. It almost makes you second guess whether you should look elsewhere for a vet. I understand that front end work is a tough job, however, the business should really take into consideration those that are the face of their business. It is very off-putting.
So thankful for the help and getting my boy in so fast. One of the best clinics I have been to. Will definitely recommend and be back!!
My cat was very lethargic (he is usually extremely energetic), hanging his mouth open and drooling a ton. He seemed stiff whenever he decided to walk. I took him to parkland vet because it was close and I didn’t want to drive him to the city since he doesn’t love car rides. The vet examined him and basically just shrugged his shoulders saying he didn’t know what the problem was. He told me I can run a bunch of tests, but those are expensive, and I don’t know which ones to run so it would be a waste of my money trying to figure out what the problem is. I paid $75 for a vet to tell me he doesn’t know. I took him to a vet in the city who immediately told me he has a fever. She instantly recommended a blood/chemistry test which helped us figure out what the problem was. Now after the correct treatment, my cat is back to normal, no thanks to parkland vet. The Edmonton vet has called me 3 time’s to check in on my cat, parkland vet has not called once.
Marg woods is an incredible veterinarian that has helped me in many aspects wether it comes to the rescue I run, strays we find or even my own personal animals. The prices at this clinic are very fair. All the staff are welcoming and supportive to us. We've never had a bad experience here and will continue to come here and refer our friends and family
Very happy with the level of knowledge and service at this clinic. Great people
Went in for a pretty sad visit but I thank Dr Wood for taking the time to help us realize we were making the right decision and eliminate the second guessing going on in our heads. I have read bad reviews about this specific vet so I wasn't thrilled when she was our vet. It wasn't long before I realized these reviews were not accurate. I believe she's probably a no Bullshit type of woman therefore some individuals probably won't get along with her. She showed us and our dog respect, care and dignity. The simple fact she's able to do the job she does proves she's not heartless or some of the other names I've seen written to describe her
Our first visit and Dr Chrisine was wonderful with my fearful dog, Panda.
Hi. Loved my experience here. The vet was awesome. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the receptionist was RUDE and passive aggressive. Needs to fix her attitude. :)
I have been taking my pets to this clinic for many years. Everything from new puppy care all the way to end of life care for 3 of my fur-babies. Now I have two dogs with bad allergies and anxiety issues. They have ALWAYS been exceptional in keeping my pets medication in stock to helping with canine dog diet issues to dental cleanings to ear infections to skin issues and even a cancer diagnose. The staff is very professional and treat us all like family. I have even had them follow up a few days after an appointment to see how the treatment was going!! You will never find another veterinary clinic that will treat your pet (and you) better. I have recommend this place to anyone that asks and they too have never been disappointed.
This is the best vet clinic, they are busy, but they care. I won't take my pets anywhere else.
This Saturday unfortunately I had to put one of my friends down. Parkland vet were so sincere and handled my grief and my dogs passing so well. They gave me as much time as I needed to be with her until she left us. Thank you for being here vet for many years and the quality care you gave her until her last moments.
Staff are super polite and very helpful. I can't speak for the client care when pets are in their care as my wife has had to take the pets for the visits. But I just saw the bill to get 2 cats 2 shots each. And it was $80 more then we paid at a clinic in West edmonton. So best I can say is that when it comes to private Healthcare it's best to shop around for price. I won't make that mistake again. We just paid extra what it's going to cost to get our 3rd cat vaccines...
We have been ordering food from this place for a year now and they keep either forgetting to order it or keep selling it to another person. We call to make sure they have it because it's a long drive for us and they say they have it for us and they never do!
My cat had an emergency shes probably going to lose her eye. So I call in distress obviously. I tell him the situation and I show up walk in there and he tells me hes closed obviously doesnt care for animals that much
My dog got into a fight and was bit on the leg by another dog. i called in the morning and talked to Fiona; super friendly and got me in within the hour to get him checked out! Only waited a couple of minutes before they weighed him and Dr. Waterman came in to check him out! Gave me lots of info on how to take car of his wound, got him antibiotics and updated his vaccinations! Also cleaned his ears up for him and gave him his favourite liver treats! Price was a lot less than i expected! Gave me peace of mind and all the information i needed, and told me to reach out if i had any other questions or concerns! will definitely be back :)
Very helpful over the phone. My dog broke her leg yet no clinic around here is allowed to do after hours emergency although her number is still there so she can help discuss your pets issues and she helped me get in touch with an after hours emergency clinic in the city. No other clinic had anyone to contact after hours or won't let you unless you're a client. Reason not for five stars is because I have not chosen a vet yet but I will choose her and update to either five stars or lower depending how it goes but so far she was helpful.
Incredible experience. I own a giant breed dog (Newfoundland) that was hit by a car due to getting out of the house unbeknownst to myself. Dr. Woods was the most kind and caring vet I have ever met. Dr. woods went over and beyond what I could expect from a vet who was taking after-hours calls and who doesn't see my dog (different clinic). I was kept up-to-date, they direct billed my pet's insurance company, and the price was under what was expected and quoted. My dog is in the best shape possible and her care was incredible. We will be transferring her care to Dr.Woods going forward. The staff in the office were also amazing from the second I rushed her into the clinic to the very end when we picked her up after surgery. So grateful for this clinic. Thank You!
