My rabbit was not eating, drinking or pooping. The vet have me so much information on what to do and how to do it, she also gave me a typed paper with what to do and extra information about rabbits. I was amazed and thankful. My rabbit is now eating, drinking and starting to poop. I highly recommend this clinic, the veterinarians are so intelligent, emphatic, kind and caring, I knew my bunny was in great hands. I also love that the sell oxbow products in their store, also great prices!

I took in a not well bird. I was expecting some tests like blood work and such but I was just given a visual assessment. Due to Covid19 this was practically the only place in Edmonton that had a vet familiar with avian species. My bird is doing ok but she just finished laying 7 eggs and I'm worried that really depleted her condition. I sure miss my regular avian vet, Dr. Gordy who is currently only taking emergency cases.

Surgeon was great. Doc who followed up has us feeling guilty for listening to our dog instead of going for a third round of antibiotics and gaba (pain meds). Went back to holistic vet for follow up/second opinion and dog is doing just fine, even though we were told he’d need a second $1500 surgery. Ask questions before you agree to a treatment plan is all I suggest.

I took my guinea pig here during an emergency and I can honestly say she got excellent treatment. It’s hard finding a vet for small animals, and they took her in right away. They were also great at understanding what was going on with her and explaining it to me. They kept her overnight and were really nice about giving me updates and having me call them with any questions. Before I left they gave me extra supplies and demonstrated how to give her medication properly. Yes it was expensive, I’m not going to deny that. But vet treatment is expensive anywhere you go, so I’m not going to hold it against them. I signed up for this as a pet owner and I don’t have any regrets.

I started bringing my bunny here about a year ago and have been really impressed. We drive from Edmonton and their great hours that make it easy to find appointments. I take my bunny to see Teresa Bousquet who was highly recommend and have been extremely impressed with her. She treats my bunny like the family member that she is. When my bunny was ill she went out of her way to call and check in daily then weekly after. The front desk employees are always helpful and polite in getting your questions answered and requests fulfilled. Highly recommend :)

I had been there to put a pet down unfortunately. The vet tech there was the kindest soul I've ever met, she was very optimistic even tho the circumstances were awful. She assured me that even tho I could not physically be there for my pet she would be there and give him all the love that she knew I had for him till the very end. This happened months ago but I still think about what an amazing person she was, and how i truly believe she was more than kind to my poor pet till the end. As horrible as it was to loose someone so precious, I was happy knowing he was in the right hands.

About a month ago I had to put my bunny down and the staff there were absolutely amazing. They took care of her all day and even though she didn't end up coming home with me they kept in contact with me for her updates. The one vet had to leave for his vacation but he passed me over to another amazing vet in the office. Thank you for caring for my baby and I will be back with my new bunny who I know will be taken care of very well when I have to get him neutered. You guys are all awesome.

We have been clients of Park Vet for a few years now. We have always had the best care for our dog Ty....from the front counter staff to the techs and veterinarians. We have seen Dr. G in the past as well as Dr. Allison when Dr. G wasn’t available. Making appts is easy and I’m always able to get in quickly. Yesterday was a very difficult day for our family as after 14 1/2 yrs our beloved Ty went for a eternal sleep. Dr. G wasn’t available to do the procedure so Dr. Allison did it for us.....from the moment we walked in everyone treated us with dignity and respect. We were very fortunate to have the Michelle and Alysha as our techs and they recommended the most peaceful way to handle the procedure. Ty was sedated and essentially slipped away to sleep peacefully for eternity. We so appreciate the care we all received. God bless you all....much love Charlene & Todd

I’ve been taking my dog here since we’ve had him and for the most part they understand his anxiety and fear of the vet. The is one male vet that I have had issues with. He doesn’t listen to what you have to say or Handel my dog like the other vets and techs do. Whenever we go I have to make sure not to have him otherwise our visit isn’t a good one. The front desk girls are great and so are the other techs and vets though and they are very kind and understanding of my dogs needs and problems.

I came in with my sick bearded dragon who ended up having a form of cancer and was unfortunately euthanized during my visit. Dr. Melissa Gowenlock and the vet tech (I apologize for not recalling her name) were both very straight forward and thorough but compassionate, gave me lots of information, were very gentle with my girl, and made sure I understood all the procedures being done (options, cost, etc). Of course it was a devastating trip, but it was made easier by the helpful staff. I was pretty blindsided by the diagnosis, but feel confident the staff did what they needed to do. I am sorry the vets and techs had to end their night on a sad note, but am grateful for the care they gave my beardie on her last day. I don't want to talk money because of the circumstance, but I think it is important to respond to some comments regarding cost for reptiles that might deter other owners in need of care. Park Vet's consultation fee is significantly lower than one of the other few clinics that accept reptiles in Edmonton ($70 difference). 'Exotics' will always come with higher fees, but I think the costs are pretty standard for reptiles in this area.

Even with COVID restrictions Park Veterinary Centre continues to be the vet we go to for our animal care and cat food. They are definitely busier with the restrictions in place but the quality of care remains high. I do miss their extent hours which was the reason we starting going to Park Vet.

This place holds a very special place in mine, my family's, and most of all, my daughter's heart. After calling clinic after clinic and finding almost none that take pocket pets, we were referred to Park. We brought our hamster in with an emergency. Dr Alison and staff (I wish I had all of their names) were so incredible. They did everything they could. And we were able to spend a little bit of extra time with him. Sadly, we ended up back there later the same evening at which point we had to say goodbye to our beloved little critter and my daughter's best bud. My daughter was heart broken and they treated her with so much love, respect and compassion. Later she asked me if this could be the vet for every animal she has. You betcha! Thank you for your kindness, your help, your guidance and everything else.

Love this vet clinic. Always have food in stock that a person needs, and if not they are willing and able to order it in. Love the retail area too so you can buy your pet a toy or supplements right in the clinic! Grooming department attached makes life so much easier, plus nice to have vet clinic attached. Always cute products here. Staff are super helpful and friendly, as well as super knowledgeable. All vets (mainly) and techs are amazing and helpful. Would recommend!! Plus, bonus that they see exotics and fish!!

Amazing service! We had to put our bird down and the doctor was very knowledgeable, but most importantly the staff was sensitive and very considerate to how my daughter & I were feeling. They gave us all the time we needed before and after our bird was euthanized. I know our pets are in good hands there.

Great Dr that worked through the exams and X-ray and blood work to determine my cat has type 3 kidney disease. It was sad but at least we got answers and are working to keep her happy.

Dr. Mandrusiak has a great manner with birds and a genuine interest in always improving his avian knowledge. He made a difficult abdominal tumor diagnosis on my bird and was extremely supportive and flexible in his schedule to accommodate our vet checkups, sometimes on very short notice. Although our bird sadly lost her battle with cancer I cannot recommend Dr. M enough for the care he provided, which helped make things a little easier. I would recommend anyone with birds to get them checked at Park Veterinary.

My cat had an emergency and every clinic from Fort Saskatchewan to Edmonton was full. When I called in they said that they'd try to take me if no one else could. I had already been to Pulse the night before and Pulse sent me home with a bloated cat, antibiotics, and a crazy high bill. Park Veterinary Center took us in as a walk in and found out her issue immediately. We got an x-ray, blood work, and proper medication for a lot less than I had paid the night before. Now my kitty is doing a heck of a lot better and started eating almost immediately after her first doses of medicine (she hadn't eaten 24hrs prior to this). We are very glad to have had this clinic take us in after 7+ clinics told us they couldn't while I cried between phone calls. Needless to say, Mochi and I are very pleased ????‍⬛

We were visiting when our dog became ill. Park fit us in. They discussed his issues, managed to get him to poop, diagnosed the bacterial infection, and treated him all while I waited. Very impressed!

Kinda torn on this review. They have good service and the hours are great, but their exams cost about 50% more than other vets and procedures can be almost double. I can only recommend them for emergencies, or when your regular vet isn't available due to that. I.e I recently had some dental work done on a pet and the bill was north of 1k, called a couple other vets and they quoted me around 400...*BUT* my little dude was in pain and they were the only ones that could get him in that week. So 5 *'s for service, 1* for value but I'm glad they're around

As with any vet, make sure that you are seeing someone that you are comfortable talking with, and who takes into account you and your pets situation so they can make good decisions. I recommend this vet, most of the people working there are kind and caring and will work with you to make good choices. Worth the drive from Edmonton.

We've gone here quite a few times with our rabbits. This clinic has multiple vets trained in "exotic pets" including rabbits. The vet care we receive is superb with the vets and vet techs spending ample time with us to discuss treatment and diagnostic options. One of our rabbits recently had massive abdominal surgery resulting him spending 2 nights at the clinic. We recieved frequent updates by phone and were able to come visit him in the evenings at no additional cost. Everyone is very friendly and obviously care a great deal about their furry patients. This clinic really goes the extra mile and is the best place to take small pets in the Edmonton area! The extended hours are great as well!

I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Park Vet. My two guinea pigs received excellent and professional service at every appointment, including throughout the pandemic when extra precautions were required. I always felt comfortable handing off my fur babies to the excellent support staff. When one of my pigs needed to be taken in for an emergency, they tried their best to fit me in short notice and actually ended up finding a time to squeeze me in, although by that time I had already found a different vet centre to see her. I will not name the other vet/centre I went to that day but my guinea pig was not properly treated there for her foot issue and was roughly handled. I would not trust anyone with my guineas except Park Vet and, for emergencies Pulse Vet (on a side note, I believe Park recommends Pulse for emergencies when they can’t squeeze you in, and there is a fantastic exotic vet there as well that has experience with guinea pigs). Both of my guineas recently passed away, but they made it to a ripe old age thanks to the wonderful care provided by Park. I would like to especially thank Dr Marian Allison, who always provided excellent care, was gentle and loving with my girls, and always spent time going over the options for their care with me. I am truly thankful to have had them in her care.

We take all our birds to Park Vet - from our budgies to our caique, and a few sizes in-between. As we visited them with our new bird adoptions during COVID (while we waited in the car), the vet called us to report her finding, and laughed about our bird's personality. Our bird was obviously not stressed and the vet was great at handling her. We are very happy with the care they provide our feathered family. As a bonus, Park Vet carries Harrisons pellets, and is VERY quick if you need to special-order.

I've been bringing my cat here for about four years. They've always been really good to me. Jacob has had some emergencies, and they are very calm and professional. I never have any issues getting an appointment. They have really good hours, they are usually open from 7 AM to 11 PM, which makes it really easy to make an appointment later in the evening, which is great because I work during the day. I highly recommend this vet!

Felt very pressured for payment and seemed to be more concerned about getting money out of me as in opposition to caring for my very sick dog. Felt I was being talked down to by most of the employees I interacted with. Except for the younger long haired secretary she was absolutely delightful and pleasant! I felt a bit over charged in the end of my $4000 and a bit ordeal. However I am confident that I did receive a very knowledgeable and informed prognosis on my dog although over charged for basic services....

We recently had to come in to put our tarantula down, the vet we saw was incredibly compassionate, explained everything to us very well, made a painful process feel a little better. The nurse on that came in to explain the euthanasia options was okay, but made us feel like payment was the most important thing in that moment, which was a bit off putting with us trying to process our loss. She also didn’t explain the payments very well, so we were a tad shocked at the price but that’s fine, it is what it is. All in all I would recommend Park vet centre

I had an emergency with my bunny this week and the lack of after hour support for small animals in Edmonton and the surrounding area is shocking. The ONLY reason my beloved rabbit made it through the night was due to the exceptional care provided by the staff at Park Vet. Even though they were fully booked the rest of the night they made the time for my bunny and got us in. Because of this and the outstanding care and knowledge they provided her she is here today. I will never forget what Park Vet Clinic did for my little family and will always, wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone with their fur family.

I made an appointment online for a yearly check up and 1 vaccine booster for my puppy. Fairly routine and I have no concerns with his health/behavior. Due to the curbside service I could not go in with him and it appears that Park Vet is taking advantage of the fact that owners are not office for the visit. My puppy was administered not 1 booster, but 2 others that he did not require as well as started on a parasite prescription that was not needed. In my discussion with the vet after my puppys initial exam I did not ask for anything other than the 1 booster I had booked him for...in fact I clearly stated the reason for the additional treatments last year but said he would not need them again. I took him expecting a $150 vet bill and walked away with $350. I was not able to stay and chat at the time about it but did call same afternoon and have not heard back from the vet in regards to this. Very disappointing as I have been taking all my pets there for years and now with COVID restrictions they are optimizing this opportunity to cash in on treatments not asked for or required. Will definitely be looking for other animal care in the future.

I'm not sure what the name of the vet that I saw is, but she was absolutely the best small animal vet that I have seen in the Edmonton area. She was kind, knowledgeable and very gentle with my hedgehog. The vet techs were also thoughtful and kind to us. I had an emergency and they got me in to see them with an appointment within hours. Everyone here clearly cares about animals and providing excellent care.

After being turned away from another vet clinic I came here with an injured baby rabbit that I accidentally ran over with my riding lawn mower They were so kind and caring towards me and they were so compassionate and WILLING to help this little wild baby bunny. We are SO grateful to Park Veterinary Centre for their care of our dogs over the years and highly recommend them. Dr Rodriguez is absolutely incredible! One of our elderly dogs spent the day there yesterday, with a 3 hour general anaesthetic and multiple issues dealt with. I have been taking my dogs here for 7 years. One of my dogs had a bad reaction to antibiotics (which he had before and was immediately taken off the medication) when we called to inform the dr he was having an adverse reaction, she didn't care. She was adamant he remain on the medication. 5 days later, he could not walk or hold his own body up. We made the decision to have him put down. The clinic ordered the wrong size urn and I got him back in pieces. In order to correct this, I had to purchase another size urn and send him back. The dr didn't even look at him before putting him to sleep, even though his condition had drastically changed from the week prior. We had seen this reaction with antiobiotics before, but they didn't care. All around bad experience. Spoke with the manager regarding this treatment. Fast forward a couple months, all my concern obviously were not addressed as the front desk had called me for an appointment for my other dog, they were rude on the phone and no information was on her file for treatment (as I refuse to see the other dr that clearly lacks compassion.) Sorry, but after 7 years of dedication to this clinic, I will be moving on. I do not recommend this clinic for the sake of your fur babies

Each employee I've interacted with has been friendly, helpful and patient. I recently got a cat, after never having my own pet. The staff at Park Vet were patient with my silly questions and took great care of my kitty when she got spayed. Love their extended hours, especially as a shift worker! It's always a bonus to find a business open later than standard business hours.

I have been a long standing client of Park Vet, I was one of their very first clients when they first opened in their first location years ago. I have always taken my dogs here and received good service. Today I took my dog in for a nail trim and found out that if you have the dog grooming side do the nails its a bit cheap then having a Vet Tech do them, so make sure you book with the groomers. And yes they did a great job on the nail trim.

I have taken my pets to Park Vet for years as well I used the grooming service. I always had outstanding care, until my last visit to them. My dog was getting very old and I saw a vet I had never seen before and I could not believe how she spoke to me. Making me feel like I was the worst pet owner for not putting my dog down. I knew it was time, but I just need a little longer. She upset me so badly I just couldn't stop crying. I would try to speak to her and she just talked over me. For what I was going through this was the worst experience. Not sure I would go back if I get another animal.

I felt that was so unprofessional that I no longer bring my animals there. Not to mention their prices are astronomical compared to other vets in Sherwood park.

The vets are very knowledgeable...but that's about it. Reception is incredibly rude. Costs are borderline criminal. Bookings are unreliable. I had booked my rabbit in to be spayed; I also took time off work so I could monitor her during recovery. Park Vet called me a couple days prior to inform me the vet would be on vacation and that I'd either have to bring my bunny in on a Friday (I work, so that wasn't possible) or I'd have to wait until the vet came back (which wouldn't have been until my vacation was over). I asked if there was any other time available and received attitude from the receptionist. I called around. Found a better clinic closer to me with much friendlier, knowledgeable staff and the total cost was HALF of what Park Vet wanted to charge. The new clinic's aftercare was impeccable, too. (Rutherford Vet: check them out!) I won't be back. Unfortunately, if a surgery is shrugged off and treated as unimportant, I can't imagine what else is written off. This wasn't my first issue with Park Vet, but it will be my last.

This place was really awesome! I had never been to a vet before so I’m not sure what it should be like but it was a great experience. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable, and if they don’t have an answer for you they’ll get one right away. They called to check up on my fish each week which I thought was so awesome, and the doctor was one of the kindest people I have met. They gave me my options and asked me all the right questions to ensure I was making the right decision. I brought her there right away, and they treated her ASAP. They do great work. My bunny and my daughters cat both got excellent spays. No complications or infections. My old dog got her timely cancer diagnosis and in for surgery at a different place very quickly. They really care.

My dog was completely not himself one evening and I was unable to get him into any of the animal hospitals as they were full. Luckily Park Veterinary Centre had late hours and they agreed to see him even though they were fully booked. The veterinarian was very thorough and diagnosed him with severe aspiration pneumonia. The vet struggled to get a 24/7 hospital to take him for the night but thanks to her persistence Pulse vet accepted him. I am so grateful they assessed him and had him admitted. I do not think we'd have our puppy here today without them!

I only give 4 stars because we had not the best experience with one vet there. Dr. Mandruziak on the other hand is a gem and I give him 5 stars. Facility is clean and the hours are great.
