I couldn't be happier with the service we received from the clinic. From the minute we walked in we were treated with courtesy and kindness. We were greeted with a big smile from the girl at the front desk who took our information promptly and got us into a room for the doctor right away. The vet listened to our concerns, did the most thorough check of our lab and made sure all our questions were answered and we were comfortable before we left. We even got a call the next day to see how our dog was doing!! I will be telling all my friends to go here :)

I had no issues with front desk personal. I have a serious issue with the vet. He handled my 11 year old, peaceful mannered, with great roughness. We came in because I suspected ear mites to be the problem. When the vet came in he began to look at Casper and as he opened his mouth to have a look at his teeth he was SO rough to the point of causing Casper to behave in a way I have not ever seen before. Causing unwanted stress on my poor cat. I have taken Casper to other vets and Casper has not responded like that ever! Not happy with the rough treatment Casper received. I will be looking for a kinder, loving, and more animal oriented vet. We pay way too much to these vets to have our beloved friends being treated so poorly.

Dr. Mark is a phenomenal vet. He has repaired both my dog's ACL tears using the nylon method. The method has outstanding results. I would highly recommend it over the TPO surgery. Even though my dog is a heavier pitbull he still did the surgery as he knew how important it was to get the nylon method since the results were so good the first time. Im forever grateful for Dr. Mark. Because of him my dog is able to be his happy, playful self and enjoy the rest of his life running around just as he loves. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. MARK!!

I have nothing better to say than the fact that this vet was (and still is) very patient, kind and supportive when it comes to my constant questions. My kittens are my life and my everything and I couldn’t had stress more when I knew I had to get them spayed. The vet reassured me that everything would be perfectly fine. I was in today for my little goldendoodle's first big girl groom. The groomer was AMAZING! Rosie was a mess going in and when she came out, she was so beautiful. The price was super reasonable for the amount of work it must have been to wash, dry and hand cut her coat. I will absolutely come back. Rosie also saw Dr. Mark and he totally understood her condition and was very knowledgeable and caring. As for the front desk people, I haven't had any issues dealing with any of them. They've always been polite and professional. I highly recommend this vet clinic.

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this clinic is. While Ellen, my cat, came in for dental surgery recommended from a Calgary vet, from beginning to end every staff member exceeded my expectations. I decided on Ok Vet because the Calgary clinic was quoting over 3 times the amount Ok did, but never will I take my cat somewhere else. Tony was the vet for Ellen's appointment, he is so compassionate and understanding and hands down the most considerate vet I have ever met. He took the time to go through the surgery for me and treated Ellen with such kindness. For a cat who's terrified of the vet he took the time to say hello and calm her down before even touching her. I'm used to vets rough handling her to jump to the next appointment and throwing medications along with bills as soon as they can. Ellen had complications with the surgery no one saw coming, at no fault by the wonderful technicians and vet. The work they did was incredible, above and beyond what I expected. No easy feat there, she also had an allergic reaction to the pain medication and they successfully resuscitated her. What was then a roller coaster of information for me to receive, it was communicated thoughtfully and compassionately. They answered all my questions and made sure I knew I could rely on them. I can't begin to thank them for what they did. Ellen has a new lease on life all thanks to everyone at Okotoks Vet. I have no complaints and would recommend them in a heart beat.

Dr. Mark and his staff were amazing with our dog Dash. He was 15 years old and became quite sick. We ran all the tests we could but no Diagnosis found. They were amazing at giving Dash everything they could to help him fight whatever it was. They would fit us in to help keep his fluids up and discuss options to help him get the energy to fight. Dash lost his fight on August 16th, but I know we did all we could do and I thank Okotoks vet for that. RIP our little Dash❤.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Tony Gerrow at Okotoks Veterinary Clinic. He rushed through my dogs annual appointment entirely, the check up was very fast and not thorough at all. He pushed us out the door in well under 10 minutes, without answering the very few questions that I came prepared with in regards to my dogs health.. I go for annual / bi-annual appointments at most, so I'd hope my dog is given the time and compassion in the appointment that she deserves! My dog is 11 years old I and want the best for her.. As does any pet owner. He "didn't have the time" to answer my questions.. The well being of my pet doesn't matter to him. The only question he answered was when I asked him his opinion on the best kinds of dog food on the market. His answer? The only 2 types of dog food they sell in the Okotoks Veterinary Clinic by the front desk. Coincidence? I think not. It's a financial inducement. I am absolutely upset by this experience and I will be searching for another vet at a different veterinarian clinic because of this. I hope other people read this before they decide to take their pets there. This is my first review ever. I never write reviews, but felt absolutely inclined to write this one.

We got our cat neutered here and received the best customer service, great pricing and good care after the surgery for our pet. The pricing is very affordable, reception is well informed and kind, and Dr. Mark is very knowledgeable. I was very happy that they offered a complimentary nail clipping during the procedure and did not overcharge. I can say that they actually care at this office because of the constant communication and follow up to see how your pet is doing. I would recommend to anyone looking to get their cat neutered or spayed here. 5/5.

We've been bringing our 3 dogs to the Okotoks Veterinary Clinic for about 8 years. We love the staff, especially Dr. Gerrow. He always has time for us and any questions we have. The staff that works here is amazing! I called first thing when they opened because my poor puppy was not himself. They walked me through over the phone what was going on with my puppy and let me come in so they could help him. Thankfully nothing tooo serious but I am happy to say that after their help my puppy (Milo) is doing much better. He's back to his normal playful self. They even were amazing enough to give me some tips and tricks on how to get my cat to stop opening up his cut. I can't thank the staff enough for all their amazing help!!! I just recently got my first puppy and I brought her in for her first appointment and they were great with her. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. Recently, my pup had an emergency so I called them and they told me to come in right away. They were ready for us when we got there, were so great with my puppy (and me as I was very upset) and got her in and treated ASAP. I appreciated their attentiveness to the situation and to my girl. Since I couldn't be in the room with her, the staff came out a couple of times to reassure me that everything was fine and my pup was okay. So, a huge thank you to the staff! You were all amazing.

my wife and i came in to pick up a bag of dog food the other day and check the place out to consider bringing our 3 pups in, as we just moved to town. unfortunately the red headed lady at the front desk was nothing but rude and short, she had no interest at all in trying to answer any of our questions. dealing with this arrogant lady made it very easy to dismiss this place as a possible location to bring our pups. 1 star rating for some of the worst front desk service i have ever seen, don't even bother going in if you see this lady sitting at the front as you will not walk out of there a happy customer. sincerely, one who does not usually write reviews.

It was our first time at this clinic and I just want to thank all of the staff they are ALL so caring, helpful and compassionate. The receptionists and nurses were so kind to our sick little pup and made sure she was well taken care of. The dr that saw our puppy was amazing and so patient with us! The owner of the clinic Dr. Mark even called to check on our puppy to make sure she was doing okay. I would recommend going to this clinic as you won’t be disappointed with the care they provide. The Okotoks veterinarian clinic staff has not only been extremely kind, understanding, helpful and compassionate; but has treated our cats (and us), like part of their family. They go above and beyond not only to help treat our furry family members, but they also go out of their way to accommodate myself when I have a migraine during an appointment and to work with us financially???? The staff there is truly wonderful and its so reassuring to know that they are there for us when needed. I took my male dog in to be neutered at this clinic and they were very friendly, helpful and professional. I had concerns for my dog as I had spoken to a few vets about the procedure some had informed me that they have an additional charge for bloodwork to ensure your pet can undergo anesthesia among other additional charges. One even informed me that they fully remove your dogs balls all of which sounded inhumane to me. When I called Okotoks veterinary clinic they patiently took the time to explain the procedure and informed me that they do the procedure in a similar way that they would do in humans, they include the bloodwork in the price (which was very reasonable) and that their price included the proper bloodwork to ensure my dog could properly undergo the anesthesia (no gouging you extra for something that I felt is mandatory for the safety of my pet) and they send you home with 2 days worth of pain medication for your dog to keep him comfortable as well as a cone all for around $300. The vet did a very professional job I could tell my dog who gets very upset when I leave him was happy and well taken care of by the staff who did a very professional job and I could tell had experience. If you want to go to a place that treats your pet like a member of the family and not a barn animal go to Okotoks Veterinary Clinic, of all the places I've been they were one of the few vets that I personally felt treated me and my dog like family and made us feel comfortable and welcome.

I was having good experiences with the vet with normal checkups and appointments, however, when it came to having a flea issue with my dog, it all changed. I recently acquired a 5 month old puppy that had fleas. I phoned the vet to help me out, they told me they did NOT want my dog in the clinic and to weigh the dog myself and then just pickup the medications from them. I phoned several other vet clinics after that and they ALL accepted her into the clinic to do a physical examination of her. I found it very rude and disturbing that they would not see my pet. I have now changed vets. Will not be going back.

These are wonderful people. Caring and professional. I totally trust them with the kitties and the advice they give me. I never feel that they are more interested in the fees than in the pets. The welfare of the pet is their first priority. I would not hesitate to recommend.

He is knowledgeable, patient and caring when it comes to her needs. I love going in there as it is a relaxed environment and the staff are always friendly.

I can not express how happy I was with team at Okotoks Vet clinic, I have a very nervous dog that some other vets find very frustrating to deal with. The team here was so patient and kind with her I was truly amazed! This is now our go to vet clinic!

Took our family dog here to be put down as she was quite old and fairly sick. A select few of the staff attempted to sedate her to keep her calm during the process. This was complete botched and caused a very anxious and disturbing goodbye for the family.

Let me start out by saying we absolutely adore Dr Gerrow, he is one of the nicest vets we have ever had! He has been so good to our fur babies! That being said, the front office staff has been horrible to deal with, they are never friendly, very rude and unprofessional. My cat has severe anxiety issues, and when we moved before Christmas he took a bad turn. When I called to get some help I was told by the front desk girl that they were closing in 30 minutes and to just leave him alone, he would be fine. There was no offer of help, no recommendations of where we could go with him, no care shown. We ended up at the emergency vet with my cat on full Iv and hospitalization, and a large bill. We are new to the community and I believe the least the girl could have done was give us the names of some places that could help, it was a very traumatic experience. We love Dr Gerrow and as much as I wish we could keep coming to him, we will be transferring to a different clinic that shows compassion and caring to clients, the front desk staff needs to improve their client relations!

Absolutely love this Vet Clinic. I live far NE Calgary and it’s worth the trip to Okotoks!! All staff are friendly, professional and treat you and you beloved pet with a lot of care and love. Always able to answer any questions (silly or serious) with genuine responses that are easy to understand or are explained well if more technical. The staff here treat you like a friend and not like you’re just another customer. Thanks Okotoks Vet Clinic staff for being awesome through the years I’ve been coming to you.

We LOVE Dr Mark Rubenson! He’s my most favourite vet ever! I’ve been bringing my Pack of Goldendoodles to see him for 7.5 years. He’s amazing in every way! I can’t say enough good things about him. Just got back from this vet they were amazing. My wife and I woke up to a sick dog with a very tender stomach. I called and spoke with an amazing lady .... Brandy I think was her name she said bring her right in and we will sneak her in before the days appointments. Got there and Dr. Bibby look at Clover and took a couple X-rays came back and said nothing showed so he took blood. But came back and stated he looked at the X-rays for a third time just to make sure and said she may have issues with her spine we will keep an eye on that. Clover is 11 years old. Couple mins go by he comes back says heres the deal because of age her kidneys are starting to fail. Here is my plan we went through it started a few antibiotics for a week, some liquids to coat her stomach easier for the old lady’s stomach lol. A few pain management pills He want to see her in 3 months to see where here kidneys are at and go from there This whole place is a class act!!!! Dr Bibby told us up front the issues. His plan costs ect and he is like this can wait this should be done now I don’t want to spend a bunch of money we can work out a plan for her. It was amazing he is an old school vet that you can see cares about the pet as well realizes the costs involved. Clover Linds and I say thanks to all the staff and we now have a great vet for clover. Highly recommended!!!!!
