Meridian Vet Clinic in Stony Plain deserves 5 stars for their very professional demeanor. We had an appointment where we discovered our pup had bone cancer, and Dr. Wagner was very sympathetic. She explained all the options without pushing us into spending $$$$ on a issue that had no real cure. And when the time came to put our pup down, Dr. Rob was fantastic, he came to our house so that our pup could be comfortable in his surroundings and not nervous, Dr. Rob explained step by step what will happen and was very patient with us. He turned a horrible circumstance into something that we will cherish for years to come. Thank you for being so kind, and for walking us thru the tough decision. I will defiantly be back sometime in the future...

My family & I were looking for a new Vet Clinic and we heard great things about the Meridian Veterinary Clinic from people we know. So when my dog injured his leg, we gave them a call. They were able to get us in the next day and we were very happy with our visit. Everyone of the staff members were friendly with my family and Dr. Bohlender was knowledgeable, explained everything well, and gave us options on what is best for our pup without being judgmental or pushy.

Sadly, my beautiful cat Aeris had health problems near the end of her life. However, I'm so glad I chose this vet clinic. As I was desperately trying to do everything I could to maybe change her fate or give her comfort, the employees of this clinic were always ready to help in any way possible. They repeatedly made room for me in emergencies and were always kind and clear about what they were doing and why. When the time came to say goodbye to my girl, they were there to help as quickly as possible. Sadly, I've had to say goodbye to multiple cats and their operation is by far the nicest. They have a special, calm and inviting room to administer euthanasia, and they let me stay with her every step of the way. I can't thank them enough for giving her every bit of care and dignity I would have wanted for her. They were also incredibly kind and warm to me through the process. They sent me ink prints of her paws to remember her by. They made a deeply painful situation a little bit easier. It's always heartbreaking to lose a loved one, but I'm still so very glad I came to this vet for help through it. I'll always remember what they did for me.

I had never gone to this vet before, but my senior kitty had declined very fast and it was time. I needed a place close to my mom's work so she could be there before the end of the day. I called day of and they were completely full but still made time for us. We were both allowed to stay with our dear the whole time and they made it as peaceful as possible and walked us througheach step, giving us all the time we needed with her. Thank you to the meridian staff for being with us during that difficult time and being as kind and respectful as possible.

The staff here are truly amazing. They make your pet feel so loved making it so much easier to get your buddy there and the attention they need. We see Dr. Larson, have for a couple years - I wish any of the human doctors I've seen had half the bedside manner she does. Not very often a dog is happy to go to the vet. Lastly I feel the pricing is more than fair, we had a procedure done today that involved sedation, two types of medication and a lengthy examination, all in all it was just over $400 - extremely reasonable. Panda is happy to be home though! ???? ????

I have never been to the vet before. Never had a dog and currently have a "Barn" Cat. Something bigger than another cat, around our acreage, bit her. The wound was not looking good two weeks later and she was acting strange, hiding, and just seemed off. I knew in my gut I had to take her in. Where do I go? Who do I call? How does it work? I google searched "vet in stony plain" and three options came up. I called A) first - they put me on hold for more than five minutes and then unenthusiastic-ally told me (on a monday), that they had an opening on Thursday. Not gonna cut it when you're convinced your cat might have sepsis and you're a terrible pet owner. I thanked them and hung up. I called B) Meridian Veterinary Clinic - they were SO AWESOME! They comforted me, explained in really helpful detail what I could expect, offered a carrier to borrow to bring her in, offered kibble or canned food, kept her through the night and called me immediately the next day when they had her sorted out. Their office is tidy, and welcoming and everyone who was working there exhibited interest in helping us. They made me feel better and offered customer service that was well above and beyond what i ever expected. this made the difficult experience more of a relief than anything else. i would and will recommend this place for all vet needs and i will recommend against anyone going to the other place (A).

On July 3, 2020 after a very devastating response from my vet clinic of over 20 years. I called Meridian Veterinary Clinic with an emergency with my little family member Shelby. Someone listened to the sound of Shelby’s breathing on the phone and said “Get him in immediately.” We rushed to the clinic where we were met at the door and brought us in to a room, then my son and daughter-in-law went to retrieve his health records from the other clinic. During that time a tech went over what happened and she said I’m taking him to be put on oxygen. The tech came back by then his records were there. Went over a few things and said the Vet will be in. When she came in she apologize for taking so long but she had another emergency in. I thought it wasn’t long at all. She had already look at his file and questioned me why he was put on a medication from a week ago that it wouldn’t do anything. She told me her game plan of sedatives, xrays, and oxygen. Said yes to all. Later she showed the xrays and showed us the images of normal heart and Shelby’s. His image was unbelievable, the heart size pressing against his windpipe and the fluid in his lungs. We had a new plan. He would have to stay in clinic till 5:30 pm till they closed with very specific instructions for at home. I left and awhile later said he wasn’t responding. New plan was to take him to the Edmonton Clinic were he would be in a chamber probably for the next 24-48 hours but she wasn’t sure if he would make the trip since they didn’t have a portable oxygen tank. I said I needed to think and I’ll be in. In a matter of 15 or so minutes she called back and Shelby was in Cardiac Arrest, they got him back. Rushing back the Tech was at the door explaining that he had a tube down his throat, monitors and lines around him. When I looked at my Baby Boy I knew this ending wasn’t going the way I’d hoped. I talked to him gave him some loves and the decision was made. After it all they took me to a private room where I spent time cuddling him. I can’t express fully what they did for my Shelby and myself that day. They took us in where 2 places turned us down. My heartfelt THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all the staff for being there when nobody else would. I will never, never forget what you tried to do. Most of all keeping Shelby alive till I got to say my goodbyes. As you might guess I will never enter the door again of the other vet who I thought would care. Meridian Veterinary Clinic will now be the new home for my other dog Hemi. Thank you. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Took our 11 year old lab retriever to get a lump removed from her mammary glands. The care was exceptional here. After having a traumatic experience with another vet in town several years ago with the same surgery we were really nervous about taking her in. But Dr. Katrina Ponich and the techs Brittany and micha were so understanding and respectful. We were allowed to comfort our lab right up until sedation and we're called back when she was waking up. They even called us to let us know surgery was going well. So appreciative of the care and quality work.

We were passing through the area on a Saturday and my puppy got suddenly couldn't stop vomiting. I have friends that swear by this vet, so we called them and they squeezed us in. Dr. Rob Kyle provided amazing care. He was phenomenal with my naughty puppy and his client communication and bed side manner was fantastic. The rest of the staff were phenomenal as well. Phoned my regular Stony plain vet as my dog was not moving and would not eat, my vet told me they are busy and to take my dog to South Edmonton over an hour away,I called meredian vet clinic they showed genuine concern and got my dog is for a quick look to see if he should goto emergency, turns out my dog strained his neck and was in lots of discomfort, they took care of the situation gave him some meds and away we went, needless to say this is my new vet.

Love this place! It took me a long time to find a vet I could trust after losing a dog to vet negligence, and Dr. Rob Kyle has been a life saver. All of my animals love him and he treats them like his own. He's gone out of his way to check on my horses in their pasture when I was out of town to make sure everybody was doing good, and doesn't push expensive procedures or vaccines if he doesn't think they're needed. Unlike most other vets!

Awesome Vets and staff. Have never had to wait long for an appointment. First brought my dog there 3 years ago after waiting 3 weeks for lab test results from another vet clinic and being told he would probably have to be put down. Long story short his diagnosis ended up being a dental problem which I had suspected from beginning. He had 5 teeth extracted and has lived another 3 years. We had to have him euthanized as he was getting old and things were shutting down. They were extremely professional and compassionate at an extremely difficult time. They go out of their way and are not afraid to get advice from other sources if they are not sure of something. Would definitely recommend this clinic.

We starting going here about 3 years ago when we got our oldest dog and we have yet to have a single subpar experience here. We always leave feeling amazing because we know our dogs got the best care possible. The technicians are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating on all accounts.
