Unfortunately it took a month to get in but once we were there the service was great. Sara calmed my nervous dog instantly. She even got him to lay still for xrays. Not great news but it was delivered with empathy. He is our big baby boy.

These people are actually Angel's. I have never been so impressed and absolutely floored by the level of service, compassion, empathy, understanding and 200% over and above level of care. have been with various Vet's over the years in Kamloops and Whitecourt/Mayerthorpe and I by far prefer these beautiful souls. One of the key points I took note of was the legitimate discomfort with billing and adding charges to my bill for my Min-Pin that recently required hospitalization and an emergency visit late at night at the mayerthorpe location. Janelle,Kayleigh, Sarah and Claire have healers spirits and all the staff at both locations were incredibly patient informative calming and obviously love there careers and the fur babies for which they care.

Between our visits with our horses, dogs and puppies I've always been impressed with the staff. Very affordable rates when compared to other vets in the area and worth the drive from Niton! Definitely our go to clinic.

My two cats had been misdiagnosed multiple times in Leduc we brought them into mayerthorpe and they didn’t even need to do a check up and gave me the treatment. It would have costed 80+ dollars per cat at our old vet but there it cost 30 bucks for both. They’ve been happy healthy cats ever since thank you.

Pricing aside (which was really great) Can't say enough about the care and attentiveness of every person we interacted with here. From the detail gathered when booking the appointment, concern and adaptiveness when confirming, all the way to saying goodbye as we walked out the door they were amazing through a very difficult time. The doctor that diagnosed was incredibly compassionate and still firm and decisive on paths forward that didn't waste our money or time or give us false hope. Still allowing a compassionate way to have a couple days with our cat to prep before coming back to say goodbye. The aide staff/technicians were SO friendly and caring. Getting us in despite their busy schedule so we could say goodbye to our 16 year old cat but with NO feeling of being rushed or pressure. The doctor that helped us say goodbye was so very kind and talked us through every step and allowed us as much time as we needed. I had heard great things before coming in. It was heartwarming to have those recommendations affirmed. A very special thanks to the tech that came in after to shave his paw so we could get our own inkblot, even though we then found out they do it as well which is so very thoughtful.

We drove from DV and were visited by Dr. Janelle. She is awesome, very easy to deal with, we are very protective pet owners but she listened to all our concerns and gave us lots of information. They managed to clean our dog's ear, he doesnt make it easy when having an infection. The installations are pretty nice and clean, the stuff is very friendly, prices are good and they even had the detail of trimming our dog's nails without us asking for it. We are very happy, highly recommend the trip to their clinic, and for sure we will go back everytime we need a good vet!

Even though this place in 1.5 hours away from home..I will never take my dog anywhere else! Claire is amazing at what she does, she truly cares about the animals. I've never seen my dog so comfortable with a stranger..it made me feel so much better about bringing her there for a surgery. Claire was very informative, humble and caring. I brought my dog in for an emergency surgery over the New Years weekend and she had to spend the night, and because they are not a 24/7 vet, She brought my girl home with her for the night so she could make sure she was okay:))) I couldn't be happier with the services there! Highly recommended!!

this was an excellent choice for the care of my animal. other places were charging double the cost plus extra hidden fees. there was no surprises to the bill and my dog is doing fantastic. and they even called a week later for a checkup on how things were doing and how the recovery was going for my fur baby. definitely made my day and I'm so happy I chose this vet. will definitely be a returning customer if ever needed.

Ladies behind the desk were quite rude last few times i have gone in and everytime i run in there to grab something (ie. dewormer, milk replacement), they act like they didn't want to talk to me and politely do the please leave thing when i ask about ways to help a pet, or the best (example) milk to give pups that should start getting weaned off their mum. However, the vets themselves are quite friendly and knowledgeable

Ill start off by saying i drive 2 hours to come see all the wonderful staff at Mayerthorpe vet clinic. I have had nothing but the best experiences even at the saddest times. All the vets are so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They are very affordable, much cheaper then any vet in my area (Leduc). I will never change vets and will continue to drive for the amazing service, expertise and customer service.
