Vet bill was extremely overpriced. My cat did not need pain medication. I wanted her wound cleaned and bandaged but they went ahead and treated it like surgery and I had no say in the matter. All in all, my cat's wound is healed up within a week.

Very nice staff and helpful. Take good care of pets and emergency cases even if they're closing soon. Just don't like that after a vet visit they add stuff like food or other to your bag and charge you for it without first telling you about it. It rakes up the price pretty fast

This clinic is THE most expensive I have ever been to! They run themselves just like a swanky doctors office. The vet looks at your animal while an assistant enters in a whole bunch of details into the computer- so they can show you how much they want to charge you!! I took my sick kitty here to get them to help. But instead they regurgitated the same info I was able to google and ran a number of tests that were not needed and charged me over $700 for them. Then when I went back home (a 2 hour trek) and took my kitty with me to another vet they WOULD NOT SHARE THE INFO WITH THE OTHER VET!!!! Info I paid $700 for!!! It is unacceptable that when you walk into Lomsnes all the staff see are dollar signs. Obviously they don't care about the animals as much as they boast, they just want your money to pay for the number of staff they have!! It's disgusting!

Lomsnes Vet Hospital is the only place we've taken our pets, from guinea pigs, rabbits or our dogs. We've followed Dr Lisa since she first came to Red Deer, Dr Lisa and her staff are the best we've ever been to. I brought both my female bunnies here to get spayed, and they were wonderful with both of them. They were all so helpful and kept me in the loop much better than any of my previous vets. Dr. Hayley was very kind and very careful with both my girls. My first bunny had a very successful spay and is doing very well. When I took my second bunny for her spay today, her heart rate was irregular so Dr. Hayley didn’t go through with the surgery, which I appreciate immensely, given the increased risks. Overall a great experience and the procedure was very reasonably priced. Thank you for the fantastic care of my precious babies!

As stated on their Facebook page and on Business Reviews Facebook page I had a terrible experience here and minimum 3 cats would be dead right now if I had listened to them. I would never recommend them and discourage everyone from going to a unprofessional, money hungry vet! Look at their reviews in other places then just here. May I add it's even worse your pretending or don't know what I'm talking about. Look in your computer, I paid you over $300 for nothing. So there is a record- Janelle Osborne if you can't figure out what Jan Osbo is short for!!!!! Your vet told me to put down a mother cat and her kittens trying to tell me they were sick and to leave them there to die, but came back negative from the testing you made me pay for! If I listened to your ppl I wouldn't have these beautiful kitties still to this day and I wish I saw your BS response sooner. You guys are a joke.

I have nothing but good things to say about Lomsnes. We've been going to the clinic since the early 2000's when we brought in our first dog and have been going back ever since. We recently had a very serious health issue with our dog and Lomsnes has been great. Everything from scheduling of appointments, prompt service and the treatments have all been very positive. There is no doubt they actually care for the animals you are bringing in. Dr. Haley has been both very supportive and compassionate throughout while helping us make some tough decisions.

She always gives Malibu lil cuddles when I take her in. Very good care and customer service. My cat was very sick a few months ago and they did everything to help her get better, I had her stay the night hooked up to an IV for hydration and she looked so much better the next day. Best vet I've ever been to! I have optimum pet care plan and it has saved me so much money! High reccomend this place!!

Absolutely appalled by the treatment my mother has received here by Dr Craig Kosheluk for her very young puppy. Pup became very lethargic very suddenly after going out for a walk and was rushed into the vet. Dr Kosheluk told her an MRI was the only option and pressured her when my mother questioned if this was really the only first-line treatment available - what if she deteriorates on the drive to Calgary? He said "well, I guess if you're not willing to do what's best for your dog..." No blood work was ever suggested, which I really think should have been the first line treatment for sudden lethargy - but hey I work in emergency medicine for humans so perhaps it's different. Dr Kosheluk told my mom that an xray would be unlikely to add anything of value but suggested they at least do that. Kept pup and sedated her for several hours, when the xray showed nothing my mom had to DEMAND that the pup be released back into her care several hours later and took a very groggy puppy home. Dr Kosheluk subscribed very strong narcotics "because she grunted when I picked her up" - the dog has never shown any signs of pain. Our family has always had a wonderful experience bringing our pets to Lomsnes. Very disappointed and suspicious of the care by this particular vet. Following this interaction I am thoroughly convinced that this man sees pet insurance and the dollar signs just dance through his head. I firmly believe he is receiving some kind of kickback for the MRI and possibly the very heavy inappropriate narcotic prescription. This is what the breeder of pup said as well when my mom called in a panic, and the breeder knows now which vet to suggest her clients should avoid.

We brought our little dog in not long ago to be examined, and I must say our experience was very unsatisfactory. It started out ok, but as soon as they found out that we are a low income family they couldn't wait to get us out of there. We paid $85 dollars for an examination (which is a tremendous amount of money for us) and the dr barely did anything. Our dog is having very serious dental problems but the dr only took a two second look in her mouth, and that was it. We felt very little care or concern was given, we tried to discuss whether we could get financing or some other way to help our dog and again we felt brushed off because of our financial situation. All they care about is money and won't have anything to do with you if you don't have much. The whole appointment was very rushed and it seemed like they didn't want to waste their time with us. In the mean time our poor dog has a jaw that is deteriorating with teeth that are loose and infected. She suffering tremendously because no one will try to help her or us with financing, we at this point have no idea what to do. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

I took my kitten to get spayed at Lomsnes Veterinary Hospital and they were awesome. Of course, the only person whom I had dealt with was the lady at the front desk and she was fantastic, friendly. She also made sure I had all the information I needed to be able to take care of Oprah after her surgery. I opted to get the laser surgery for her; she seemed to spring back from the surgery quickly and the incisions are healing nicely.

I felt comfortable with all of the staff and felt the service was quick and efficient. Due to these times of fear I had to wait in the car while they gave Norman a shot. I wish they had warned me that he was being given a needle in the muscle of his back leg as we took him for a walk when we got home and two hours later he could not put his leg on the floor. Watched him for the rest of the day to be sure all was good and he was fine a few hours later. A heads up would have been good but I do highly recommend this clinic.

Ok so I was in need of a vet fast and I went to the one down the road first and got told that thay were all booked up and the doc was not in till noon like really this is an emergency. so I rushed to lomsnes and wow thay are amazing and very polite got me in as soon as I said emergency like u should and not shun me down anyways lomsnes is by far the best place to take ur pets I will not be going anywhere else from now on and if u ppl reading are wondering what happened to my best friend in the emergency we’ll let just say it was not a good day for me one of the hardest I’ve had to face. I took my puppy here. Some friends loved it or others hated them, yes hate not dislike. They are great at the check-ups, vaccines, 15 minutes and $180 later. When my puppy was attacked and needed to be looked at, they were too busy. I'm done - I have been to a medical doctor and waited once they had to attend to an emergency. A BIG NO on this clinic!!!

We have taken our girl Molly to the wonderful staff at Lomsnes for 7 years, I have taken her to others out of dire need and will NEVER switch vets! We have such a great relationship with Dr. Hailey and all the staff. Molly has required some serious attention over the years with her IBD, the parasite she picked up while at the dog park and her deep love for Chocolate, we've never received such great care from anyone else and honestly wouldn't trust anyone else to care for our girl. We can't recommend or thank the staff at Lomsnes enough!

Out of all the vet clinics I have ever taken my animals too, this is the best one. The vets and vet techs genuinely care about the animals they treat. After both my pets got sick, the clinic called every day to see how they were doing until the problem got resolved. They are awesome. I highly recommend this clinic.

When we first decided that we wanted a pug we did some research and found Dr. Lisa the most qualified for this bred. That was 20 years ago and we have gained and lost several beloved pugs during that time. Our fur babies have always been treated with dignity and respect at this clinic. We made a mistake and took one of our precious babies to another clinic and because of that she became so ill there was no saving her. Dr. Lisa did not judge us in any manner and put our angel to rest with dignity and care. Our current pug is getting on in years and with the assistance of Dr. Hayley and Dr. Lisa we are confident that she will have a bit more time with us. These ladies are so understanding of not only our pets but our feelings as their parents. So I know when the time comes to say goodbye they will be there not only for our Breeze but for us as well.
