The receptionist misleads me for the price of dog neuter. Don't believe what they told you for quotation. The price gotta adds up to more than double of it during operation.$95 for per 10 mins. anaesthesia. I paid off >$600 instead of $330 for my dog neuter.

This vet is fantastic with our rescue dog Luther. They neutered him last week at a good price compared to his previous vet and gave him a complimentary check up a week later. My partner and I moved to the area March 2021 so we needed to find a new doctor for our 3 cats. We first took our little one in for her check up and shots and she was also experiencing an eye issue. The doctor was absolutely amazing with my little Luna. He was gentle, but thorough with his exam. He prescribed eye drops for her and within a week her eye issue was cleared up. We recently had to take our Big Girl in for an ear infection. Again, the doctor was amazing and thorough with her exam. He even understood that we were on a tight budget and gave us a treatment within it. It’s been a day since we took her in and she is already acting like she is feeling better! I’ve seen many vets in my life (with different pets) and this location is by far one of the top two places I recommend. The office and treatment rooms are exceptionally clean. And both times I’ve been there there hasn’t been many if any other clients waiting. We will continue to take our cats here for their health appointments. :D

This place is a bit old and dinghy, which normally wouldn't bother me but random cats wondering around and the staff seem unprofessional al add to the negative review. I agree that they seem pushy advising me that if I get my dogs teeth cleaned I can add 2 years to his life. I don't see how someone make such a claim since oral hygiene isn't the only determining factor in longevity. I was also misquoted for price and I felt like there was a lack of communication on what vaccines were being given and if I wanted deworming. I didn't feel like we were treated with care and just felt like another ring at the cash register :( I honestly hate to give bad reviews. I try to see the best in things but sadly my experience yesterday was no good and I won't be returning. If the owner sees this I hope they see it as constructive criticism because with some change it could be a decent place. 1 star- appointment was quick 2 star- there was 3 people back there to assist with my dog and he didn't seem like he was in pain during the poking and prodding

Pros: The staff are very kind and helpful and the medication given to my cat helped with his stomach infection. Cons: Dr Tahir Sheikh went ahead with unverified procedures without first confirming all of the prices with me and giving a proper explanation. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half listening to my cat crying out, and not knowing why. I think this was very unprofessional. My cats ears were also cleaned without permission , which did not cure his ear mites. Conclusion: I went to the vet to have my cats stomach illness treated with antibiotics, and purchase ear mite medication. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes i ended up walking out with a 475$ bill. I will not be back, and highly recommend other veterinary clinics.

I went a few days ago to get Zoe spayed and I have to say, the service that the staff at lakeview provided went beyond my expectations. Not only was the cost very affordable then most clinics I've been too, the doctor and staff were extremely caring and friendly to Zoe and myself, making the procedure seem less daunting for her. She came out happy and relaxed and was ready for a nice long sleep :) The staff was also responsive and informative and made the procedure clear to understand and the discharge instructions afterwards were also straight forward and understandable. Would highly recommend coming here as the doctor and staff seemed highly professional and reliable :) Cheers.

Wow! Let me just start off by saying this place is amazing, the staff and the building! I came here a couple years ago and was not satisfied at all. They had poor management and because of that all the clinical activities were lethargic( Judging by the older reviews i feel like other people had the same experience). I heard from a friend that they recently re-opened the place under new management in September and was skeptical at first; but since I lived around the area I brought my dog in for his physical and was I amazed! Dr Tahir and his staff are extremely caring and made my bulldog extremely comfortable in the clinic. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's contemplating weather to bring their pet in based on previous reviews.

Extremely disappointed in the care our large breed puppy received. After taking him in for a fractured toe, a splinting job was done that was so poor that caused extremely infected sores all up and down his leg. This type of negligence is so unacceptable and almost cost our 6mo old pup his life. He's now in more pain than he was before, has so much more crate rest and medication, and we still don't know the final consequences as he's still recovering and will be for a long time now. Not to mention the thousands of dollars more we're putting into saving him from their extremely negligent "mistake". You would think a simple leg splint would be a fairly common procedure but apparently they allow unqualified (or just purely negligent) employees to perform such treatment. I do not recommend taking your animal here if you want quality care for your pet. All of this could have been avoided if they just simply provided the care properly. We are devastated our pup has had to go through all of this because of their negligent, unprofessional and downright cruel practice.

We decided to have our cat spayed at this clinic as the pricing seemed incredibly reasonable and the location was conveniently close to my work. The lady at the front desk was phenomenally friendly and went through absolutely everything with me over the phone. At drop-off, they had the most thorough paperwork to go through explaining all possibilities, circumstances, and prices of such which was very refreshing to go in knowing the possible outcomes and costs. When I arrived to pick up our cat, the vet sat me down to thoroughly go over everything that was done, and everything that I could possibly need to know. He even showed me photographs from the surgery. They gave me an entire folder of paperwork and made sure I was pleased with everything before I paid the bill. This is a phenomenal clinic, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring our furry family members back here. Props to the staff!

My only issue is that I find the vet is quite pushy, always talking about different pills and vaccines that our indoor cats need. Of course I don't want to refuse my pets anything they do need, but his recommendations always seem excessive.

I was recommended to take my bunny there by a family member, as she has malocclusion and was unable to eat because her teeth became too long. I brought my puppy here to get his first shots. During that visit i had booked an appointment to get the second set of shots complete for Tuesday, August 20th at 9:00am. I arrived early to find no one at the office. I waited around thinking maybe they were in the back or something. At 9:15 I tried to call and no one answer so I left a voicemail asking what had gone on and if someone could contact me to resolve the issue and re-book. Its been one week and no one called me back. I called the local number and a different office answered and advised that this location will not have a doctor on site until September 10th. I was unable to get a resolution for my issues or an explanation as to why no one was there. The person also couldn't answer why I was not contacted prior to reschedule or why I had not received a call back. Due to the lack of communication and professionalism of this practice I would not recommend them if you are considering taking you animals here.

Very pleased with our 1st time experience with this clinic today. Our pit bull developed a hematoma on her ear and had surgery for it 3 weeks ago at a different veterinary office. That surgery wound was about 70-80% healed when, in a matter of hours overnight last night, her ear swelled full of blood into a new hematoma. Great, back to square one. The vet office we normally go to was not able to get her in for a few days, which is not ideal as it would give the hematoma time to get much worse. When I called Lakeview, they said bring her in right now and were able to get her in immediately! I was very impressed & relieved by this. Later today after her procedure was complete, the vet took the time to call me to let me know that all was well and recommended a particular medication to address the issue. Furthermore, the vet took photos of the incision before wrapping her head in a bandage, so that we would be able to see the work that he had done. Overall, we are thrilled with this experience. Prompt and quality service for a fair price. Looks like we've found our new vet.

The vet assessed the issue and we were able to schedule the surgery same day. They got it done in a timely manner and I was charged a lot less than I was expecting. Took our dog for a full dental cleaning and very happy with the results! They’re like brand new teeth! Very clean and nice office as well. We have had a very negative experience with this vet. The front staff, Jomar and Emily, have been good to deal with. However, Dr. Tahir hasn't been the best. At the appointment, I had my two dogs come in for booster shots. They were in the room at the same time. Dr. Tahir injected the used syringe that he used on my first dog to my second dog. He just brushed it off as an accident. I'm grateful that its consequences were nothing to worry about. However, the negligence is appalling. In addition, we've had so many problems with them processing refunds and credits from the previous owner of the dogs. They didnt end up honoring any credits that were on their account. After multiple times of figuring it out and them asking for a certificate number, I provided them with a physical certificate that stated it was valid for one comprehensive exam. However, it was not honored as Dr. Tahir informed Jomar that it was only valid for a first visit. It did not clearly state that anywhere on the certificate. Nor did Jomar inform me of it at the beginning of the appointment when I gave him the certificate. Dr. Tahir whispered it to Jomar. Needless to say, we will never come back here. Please avoid this place as there is negligence and lack of professionalism and reliability.

Never ever again, how they are rated highly is beyond me.When I got there they told me the vet had gone to the pharmacy and I needed to wait. When he finally arrived my dog was handled very roughly and he nuzzled her because she wouldn’t sit still. My dog is very small and not used to vet clinics yet. Then I was charged literally double what I was quoted in writing and again when I called to make the appointment to make sure that’s what it’s going to cost. They do extra stuff you don’t ask for and then make you pay for it. I sat in the reception waiting to pay for the longest time while every staff member was in the back room doing who knows what. Don’t do it, service at Summerside Vet is WAY superior to this place *Edit: I never received a record of my dog's vaccines when I brought her to this vet. After calling them today and requesting they email the records to me, I found this vet had given my dog the wrong vaccines!!

We took our approx. 4 month old Frenchie here for a respiratory infection. The vet was nice and our Frenchie was diagnosed with an infection requiring antibiotics. The antibiotics the vet prescribed are in liquid form due to the small size of the pup. The vet said they only had enough antibiotic in stock to last until Saturday so we said we would come pick up more on Saturday. We live out of town so it’s kind of inconvenient to come back, but we understand this happens. This is where their care, and compassion becomes unacceptable. We return Saturday morning at 0800 (because the online website says they open at 0800). Upon our arrival shortly after 8 the office is still closed. We wait and about 0830, someone finally arrives to open the office. They inform us they did not order the antibiotics and we now have to wait until Monday for them (antibiotics cannot be interrupted to be effective), not to mention, we are already back in the city so we want them today. We ask them to send a prescription to G&E pharmacy so we can go pick them up immediately. We’re than informed by Lakeview the veteranarian needs to complete a new prescription himself and he won’t be in until 0945 (even though they open at 0800). We’re annoyed but have no choice but to wait because we need the prescription. We finally get a new prescription and head to G&E. It turns out G&E doesn’t carry the exact suspension but they have a similar one. Just need the vet from Lakeview to modify the prescription. The Vet at Lakeview refuses to modify it. 3 hours of waiting in the City, and no willingness to be accommodating. So we call around and Guardian Vet has the exact suspension. So now we have to go to a 3rd vet office, over a 4 hour span, simply because Lakeview forgot to put in an order for additional antibiotics. This is not who I would want to care for my babies and we will not be returning.

Today I took my little Sophie to this Vet. She has been sick so I called a few vet places and when I contacted Lakeview, they were soooo helpful. They asked great questions and explained everything while I was on the phone with them. I did not feel rushed as I asked my concerning questions. The Vet Doc was fantastic!!!!!! I was in and out on time. Reasonable rates and beyond helpful. Thank you so much and the Lakeview Vet Hospital is now our full time vet. Sophie is all fixed up and we are both grateful. ❤️

We took our pup in to get a dental consult. Other quotes for a tooth extraction were high as is expected, we left with an estimate that was extremely reasonable providing a huge sense of relief. We scheduled an extraction and spay, the estimate was honoured, our pup was well and we are very happy. We will be returning with our other pup for a spay appointment. Dr. Tahir was very reasonable, thorough and honest, and all interactions we saw with our pup were great.

Lakeview is the only place I'll take my puppers. My one dog is agitated very easy and they make it a breeze to get him vaccinated and make me feel normal for having a crazy dog. Not only have they taken great care of my baby girl, but they are always able to get her in in a timely fashion. They do not try to sell me things I don’t need and really seem to value my opinion in my pet’s treatment. Furthermore, they did an excellent job with my dogs dental surgery! They now care for my dog, as well as my parents dog, and I would recommend them to others as well. Thank you for all that you do ????

Absolutely phenomenal service! Cannot imagine ever bringing my fur babies anywhere else now. So glad I found them today. Dr. Sheikh and his team are amazing and oh so caring. When you leave your fur babies in their care for what ever reason you can rest assure that they are receiving the absolute best care ❤ Updating our review, our pets have been seeing Dr. Sheikh for 2 years now and I'm still a very happy client! We were there yesterday with our new puppy, she had her last set of vaccinations and Dr. Sheikh was so kind, patient and gentle with her. Willow (new pup) didn't want to leave and I had to carry her out haha!

Today our little Poodle Cross Puppy was neutered. We have been to Lakeview Vet prior and it is a wonderful Clinic. The Staff is very friendly and Dr. Tahir explains everything and is very knowledgable & thorough in his examinations & procedures. Fair costs & Excellent Care. Great Location! I highly recommend Lakeview Vet!

Tried to call to ask if they had a cat food, got answering machine that said if I called during normal hours that they were likely with someone....during normal Saturday hours, so I drove there. CLOSED. No reason. Sign on door saying they were going to be closed on Monday. Great thanks, but this is Saturday at 4:15. If you aren't going to be open normal hours then UPDATE YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE. Don't waste my time!!

Very friendly staff/ honest, caring Vet. Tahir. We’re newer to summerside and hesitant to start bringing our dog to a new vet clinic, so far so good.! Trustworthy clinic, so we’ve booked a dental appt. We’ll post our feedback on this as well.

WOW. Dr. Tahir (sp) and his staff are amazing! We had a mature shepherd spayed by him, and he went above and beyond. His receptionist is AMAZING. So friendly, professional and kind. Very professional people to deal with. Our vet was very informative, unlike many other vets who have shun us out. Not only was our vet doc A1! They got me in within half an hour of calling. Dr.Tahir was great with my dog and gentle. I appreciate where he told my dogs muscles where tight and where she was experiencing pain. He took the time to go through several different causes for what she was experiencing and what our options were and how much they were. The clinic was able to do blood work immediately. The clinic itself was very clean. I am happy with my experience here.

This clinic is amazing. I brought my dog yesterday for spay and i was informed the whole time my cat was in surgery. The cost is amazing. I was given a discharge instructions which i thought that they really care about my pet. My baby recovered from her surgery very well. I will refer all my friends to this clinic. I love the front staff, they are very friendly.

Lady working the front lead me on a wild goose chase for dog food that you can I guess only get from the vet... 5 stores later I couldnt find the dog food where she told me to go so I called back and got another lady who said you can only get it from vets. I asked to order it in and she said it would take a 3 days! 7 days later I still dont have it. Oh well they lost my business!
