The entire lakeside team has been a god send to me these past few days. I took my boy in there for an emergency urinalysis blockage. they were quick to create me a file over the phone and take him in that hour. They did X-rays right away, were open about everything and explained it all. They treated him like family immediately and have been amazing everytime I call to check up on him each day.. he’s not home yet but he’s in the home stretch.. thank you so much lakeside, you have my future business for sure, I genuinely can’t thank you enough, and neither can my family or Rengar.. ♥️♥️♥️

So we booked to have our dogs taken in. They unfortunately neglected to tell us that there were no people allowed in the clinic, and the front desk lady was short an lacked any empathy while she essentially instructed us to "leave our dogs and get out". Will not be returning.

They seem to care about the animals they treat. They are reasonably priced. However the 2 vets sometimes can't agree on treatment for the same issue. And there is no guarantee that you will get the same vet 2 days in a row if you have to come back the next day for treatment.

First off, I understand that COVID has upturned a lot of routines in day to day businesses. I was told they would make an exception and allow me to come inside with my dog for her routine examination and a check up on an enflamed spot on her front leg, (also a first time visit at this clinic in which my dog has severe anxiety) however one vet came outside opened my car door and pulled my dog out very abrasively without me allowing to get a word in or even give them my dogs vet records. She was inside for less than 5 minutes when they came out with her, put her in the car, explained that her leg was healing just fine, prescribed a cream for her leg and promptly shut the door without allowing any time for questions about application or her general health. I would be okay with this *if* we weren’t then charged for a routine examination that they did not provide me with any information regarding her health, well-being, dental, etc. Doesn’t give a person the reassurance you’d want when entrusting someone with your furry loved ones health with. Would not recommend this for any first time vet users. :(

Brought my cat here to gets its teeth checked. Do I think vet costs are a little expensive, yes. 860$ to get two teeth pulled. With that being said the staff are all very friendly. And prices don't differ too too much elsewhere. Three people helped hold my cat and gave it treats, talking very nicely to him. Update: this clinic is amazing. They were able to get our cat in for emergency surgery within 45 min when the emergency clinic was terrible to him. They did the procedure immediately, quickly and for a quarter of the price. They really care about their patients and their families. Thank you so much! We've been taking our cats here for about 4 years and have always received excellent service. Staff are caring and helpful, answering questions and listening to concerns. The vets are knowlegable and as gentle as possible with the animals. We did have the same procedure done on one of our cats a couple of times and the 2 vets performed it somewhat differently each time so I'm not sure which was the better approach. Our cat was improved after both so either way seemed effective. Overall very happy with this clinic.

They are so good with my pet. Never over charge. I had a problem giving my pet medication. They refunded me and gave me a liquid option which was way easier than pills. My dog had his teeth cleaned for way cheaper than I have had it done elsewhere. His breath is so nice now and his teeth are pearly white

When I called they said they could help with our emergency. It was a lie. They dont do in house bloodwork, my dog was peeing blood. He needed tests and I explained over the phone what the emergency was. When I went in they did not have the ability to do the bloodwork, but instead sent me home with a huge amount of medication and a bill of over $400. Though it was years ago, it still stands and until now I just didnt put the review in Google. Dont go here for any emergencies. Ever. Go to an actual emergency vet.

Our dog is a new patient at Lakeside. I was so impressed with the care. My dog felt so much more at ease than at other clinics we had visited in the past. The Doctors are gentle and patient with their patients! The atmosphere is wonderful. We went for an initial check up and shots. The Dr recommended a shot for Lyme desease with a booster shot the following month. We appreciated that especially since we live on an acreage. Our dog had a recent run-in with an unfriendly dog that invaded our backyard and Lakeside got us in immediately to care for her and comfort her. They then followed up with a call back to see how she is coming along. Again, we are impressed! I will highly recommend this clinic. Plus...their live in cats are adorable!

Called at 8am got in at 10.Dr. Anwar had our usually anxious golden retriever calm enough to do the full exam administer shots,clean and treat his ear infection and most surprising to me trim all his nails! Previous vets always had to restrain him in a back room. The prices are also very reasonable. They are out of the way for us but I tried them out due to great reviews and will continue going!

Horrible experience and would not recommend. Brought my dog here and my dog was in the clinic for only ten minutes. They said they did 3 x-rays and an exam in that time? How can you do a proper exam in that time? The vet didn't even look at my dog. Not to mention I was charged for x-rays without being asked. I explained over the phone and when I brought her in that she has pain in the shoulder. The vet is saying her pain is only in the elbow and is just growing pains or sometimes fractures take a few days to show- I have never heard of that. When I tried to explain again, that the pain is in her shoulder, he simply cut me off and said no it's in her elbow. Yet did not explain why I was noticing pain in her elbow. The vet explained absolutely nothing to me, did not answer any of my questions. When I tried to ask about the x-rays, he did not explain or answer my questions, which makes sense because he did not look at my dog. When I took my dog to my regular clinic, they confirmed what I said- her pain is in the shoulder and none of what the vet at Lakeside said was accurate. Lakeside didn't even x-ray her shoulders, only her elbow.

The doctor and the technicians made my kitty calm when doing the necessary examination. Awful experience. Mr Tehir (I’m using Mr because he does not deserve to be called a doctor) is hands down the worst vet I have ever been too and I have 7 animals, so a lot of vet visits. His treatment of animals is rough, cold and without any compassion. I took my cat in for treatment with a bite on her side and had to intervene halfway through the exam as he kept squeezing and poking the fresh would while continuously catching the wound with the clipper blades. The horrified nurse, tried to stop him as my cat was screaming and he still had no clue he was causing any discomfort. We did manage to get a second vet in and he was a thousand times better. I do want to note the second vet and all the nurses were great, however as long as Mr Tehir is working there I would strongly urge you to find another another location.

We moved to the area in 2011 and selected a vet a little closer to our home initially. After getting whipped in the wallet a few times over the first two years I began to shop around and selected Lakeside. Since then they cared for our dogs, one that past from old age and the current three. I plan to also include my two shop cats as I intend to move them to Lakeside in the near future. The doctors and nurses as well as staff are personable, they care and they treat our animals as their own. They are knowledgeable yet practical in their approach, providing great care but not taking it needlessly to far keeping the cost manageable. The cost of care is very competitive and they offer some specials like teeth cleaning season which is greatly appreciated with two little dogs with genetically driven teeth problems. The third dog is still a pup. I highly recommend this clinic.

This morning our pup ate a multivitamin that rolled into the floor. This clinic was absolutely amazing took us in first thing and made sure that she was comfortable and all was well. Prices are good. I really didn't like that there were cats wandering the entire clinic, my dog is in no way used to cats.. Being a veterinarian office it seemed unsafe and unprofessional. My dog was examined in a common area, where less than 3 feet away from him was a sedated cat being dematted/goomed. Yes, it was sedated, no that doesn't make it ok. Overall I got what I needed done in a pinch, and I was happy with the pricing but I will stick to my regular veterinarian from now on. If you have an overly excitable dog - good luck ever calming it here.

Everytime you call there is a different person that tells you something different. Absolutely no help at all and unprofessional. Heartbreaking experiencing. Last year my senior dog was prescribed an anti-inflammatory for his arthritis by a vet at Lakeside. Within an hour of his first dose, he died. I returned his body to the vet clinic for cremation and barely received an apology, the death was to be expected as he was into his golden years. I left the clinic still shocked by the loss of my best friend and devastated by the dismissive attitude of the vet. Moments later Lakeside called to ask if I wanted by beloved good boy's paw prints, I gratefully accepted and was put at ease by the kindness of the receptionist on the phone. I have since picked up his ashes, received a condolence card mail from the clinic, but unfortunately I never received his paw prints as promised. I called the clinic multiple times over the course of a year, never receiving a follow-up call. Finally a kind receptionist took the time to look for the print and I received confirmation that they were nowhere to be found. It's probably safe to assume that his paw prints were never taken, hence why they avoided returning my calls for a year. Lakeside, please focus on improving your customer service. You have made a completely devastating experience all the much more difficult by failing to provide a service that you offered to me. I'll forever be heartbroken over the experience, the loss of my companion and the empty space on the wall where his framed paw prints should be.

My cat was on the verge of death but the amazing staff and doctors worked with me and my financial situation so we could save him. I could tell by the way they held and spoke to my cat gently and affectionately that these are genuine pet lovers with big hearts. They don't gouge you on prices or try to foist necessary procedures on your pet. Prices are the most affordable I've seen so far. Highly recommended.

I cannot explain how amazing this vet clinic is. If you are debating between Lakeside & literally any other vet clinic in Edmonton or Sherwood Park, you should select Lakeside. I have brought my own 4 pets here, dozens of fosters via rescue & even come in with emergencies when they are fully booked. They have always accommodated me. Thank you to this team that does absolutely everything possible for every animal.

We have been going to Lakeside for a very long time. It is a small clinic and does not have a lot of fancy equipment but they seem to care more about the animals then making a buck. They are the only vet that I know of that will make house calls. We live in Edmonton and they have come to our home several times to euthanize beloved pets and check on pets that have had surgery. The staff are so friendly and patient. The vets are amazing. We have a special love for Dr Anwar. He is the most caring vet I have ever met and I have owned animals my whole life. He doesn't mind talking on the phone if you have a question. He is intuitive and takes time to teach you if you need it. Dr Schienbein forwards calls to his home in case you have an emergency. We have had that happen and he was able to tell us if we needed to go to the emergency hospital or if we could wait until the clinic opened. I will always bring my pets here. Always. We are so thankful that we have a vet service that cares for our pets the way they should be cared for. I really can't say enough good things about them.

Vet is good but the office is just too busy. If you have pet insurance good luck getting it processed. I did not get receipts for last 3 meds and phone calls did no good trying to get them to process through pet insurance or send me receipts.

Dr Anvar is very compassionate and has been my son's puppy's dr. Recently , the puppy, Charlie got sick and Dr Anvar treated him, it took few visits as the puppy was dehydrated from diaherea and never over charged. He would even advise over the phone. Staff accommodates you in case of emergency. Highly recommended clinic. Thank you for being kind.
