We've got the opinions of people like you who use the services of DEWINTON PET HOSPITAL (Veterinarian) around Alberta area (Canada).
At the present this firm has a rating of 4.3 stars out of 5 and that rating was based on 125 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is really positive, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the assessment is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Veterinarian is included in the category of Veterinarian.
Dr Eva is truly excellent with all our pets. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone with any type of pets.
They are very professional, seemed to care about my pet. Like all vets I have met tho, money seemed more 8mportant!!
Not happy with the service we received at this vet. The girls on the phone were very rude. The vet severely mis diagnosed our hammy and she ended up suffering for 10 days, bleeding internally, and bleeding out in much pain. After returning to the vet when bleeding was noticed they took her and didn't really have time to care for her. We were told that they would squish her in, and when I called 5 hours later too check in, the vet told me (and I quote) that we she made the wrong diagnosis and our only option is to put her down, but she had to go because she had a lot of important patients to look at. This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a vet and will never go back to this location. Not to mention the outrageous prices they charge for check ins, revisits, treatment , and even euthanasia. So much for being a specialized "exotic" vet...
We had to take our poor bunny there recently and I was impressed with the knowledge, compassion and professionalism of the whole team that we met .. thank you
Very Professional people.
First and last time customer. This review is based solely on customer service of the staff, or lack there of. This place was recommended as a vet for birds. I had made three phone calls prior to the appointment and was very clear in what services we needed. They advised they would have to conduct an examination and we chose this date as there would be two vets to perform the band removal. Not once was the possibility of a sedation fee mentioned. My husband took time off work and drove 45 minutes to this place. Once there and after checking in, staff advised that the bird may need sedation in order to remove the band, and if we refused the sedation, they would give the bird back and we could book an appointment with another vet. Given we had already prepaid for the exam, and didn't want to start from square one and waste more time finding a vet, it was agreed to only administer the sedation if absolutely necessary. After the appointment, no information was provided about the exam results. Just the invoice. My husband left upset as what was expected to be around $150 turned into almost $300. Once at home, we called the office and we were told they would tell future customers about possible extra charges. We asked for a partial refund of $50 as we felt they were not fully honest about the potential costs, and we were denied. We asked what was discovered in the exam, but no information was provided. They even lied and said we "declined" to have the vet talk to us. It was absolutely never even offered during the visit! We asked to have the vet call us back to provide details of the exam. They said they would let the vet know and to expect a call. After a couple of hours with no call back, we called again and we're advised the vet was busy with examinations and patients, but to expect a call after they were free tonight or tomorrow. We asked if it could be done tonight, as we had a bad experience and wanted to know the results. No call back was received. This totally leads me to question if they even did an exam or just removed my birds band?? Pre paid $115 exam fee with the expectation of a possible another $40 for band removal (given they were able to remove the lt was what the receptionist had told me)..Zero mention of possible costs included with the visit. The lack of communication from the receptionist regarding costs and procedures were terrible to say the least, so being told that we now had to pay for sedation in order to remove the band or take the bird home was annoying after driving 45 minutes to get there in cold snowing weather was poor customer service. We were hit with unexpected costs, and paid almost $300 with no explanation of what was done except the band was removed. They were quick to advise of additional charges, but once they took our money, they were too busy to explain the services they provided. As of right now and after speaking with a manager, we still don't have any answers, but we do have a lighter wallet than expected. We were hoping this would be a place to take all 4 of our birds, but after this experience we will not return, and we will make sure to tell our story to anyone looking for a vet.
Hi guys, My Annie mae is pregnant from Max.. We are full of joy again, also she will be delivering around the 2nd week of August 2013.. thanks Doc you are awesome :) Your friends Terry & Alanna Siksika nation.
Our sweet BMD required some special care and attentiveness for his neutering. We were referred to Dewinton Pet hospital and they have been exceptional! The pre-check, the prep and questions, surgery day and follow-up has been top notch! I would highly recommend DPH!!
VERY accommodating first visit for both my Leopard Gecko & Kitty! Very friendly staff and they did everything so quickly too. I was nervous bringing my Gecko to her first vet visit but I am leaving a very happy pet mama!
I have mixed feelings on this review and hope it is seen as my opinion on clinic practices versus the staff. I'm grateful that Dewinton was able to see our hedgehog for a semi-urgent problem (for an appointment, not as a walkin) when our regular vet was booking quite a ways out. Unfortunately, it seemed as though the vet was incredibly overbooked as I waited in the parking lot for 3.5 hours with very little communication of what was going on. I also felt as though extra procedures were "pushed" in the sense that I was told every possible thing they could do and every possible medication/supplement and sort of left to decide what was best with little guidance. Our experience with our regular vet (and our preference) is to treat conservatively, from least to most invasive procedures. Perhaps this is just a difference between clinics and perhaps some owners would prefer this initially intensive approach, but it was overwhelming for me. My husband couldn't attend the appointment with me, so we had decided in advance what tests we wanted to do (bloodwork and a fecal). Upon arrival, I was informed the fecal couldn't be done due to an equipment breakdown. I decided to proceed with bloodwork, after which the tech came out a bit later to inform me that they have to sedate for bloodwork, so based on the sedation, I decided to proceed with the x-ray (which initially I was going to hold off on, but figured we might as well avoid the potential of having to sedate twice). Our hedgie's problem wasn't resolved following this appointment (some meds and supplements had been prescribed) and we returned to our regular vet who did not have to sedate for bloodwork and who offered a much more conservative approach. Following a fecal examination, we are treating with new medications and the problem seems to be resolving. The staff at Dewinton were very kind, I appreciated the tech taking time to show me how to hold our hedgie to administer meds, and I appreciated them coming out to the vehicle to discuss things in person. The vet also seemed knowledgeable, but so, so busy. I would have appreciated a followup once the equipment was repaired so we could've brought a fecal sample in - it would've meant our hedgie would've received the correct treatment sooner and would have been feeling sick for significantly less time.
Eva is such an amazing vet. My new chameleon was very ill so I called their 24 hour emergency line and Eva gave me some great advice over the phone. She didnt try to upsell me and she was very honest about the sound of his condition which I very much appreciated. I followed her directions and was able to save my chameleon (for free!). I went for my first visit the next day and my wife and I were VERY impressed with the friendly staff at Dewinton Pet Hospital and how knowledgeable Eva is with reptiles. She has taught me so much and I have already used some of her tips. By far the best reptile vet you will ever find - and that is coming from a reptile enthusiast ;)
We brought our lil urgently sick hamster Teddy (aka Beeboo) there as one of two places in Calgary I think that specialize in tiny furries and exotic. They were able to sandwich us in on urgent basis same day. A lot of driving for a little creature w a short lifespan but we just love her little entity, as personable as a hamster can be! So we were advised of the worst case possibility, suggested treatment and also a pain and health management option to control bleeding and get proper immune boost. Well that was weeks ago and she's stopped bleeding, is gaining weight, and way more active. Grateful for the flexibility, transparent process for costs, being shown how to administer medication, and personal followup call the next day by vet. Both vet and assistant were compassionate and helpful. Strongly recommend even if you have to drive a distance to get there. Thank you and sorry for the late review!
By far the BEST vet in Alberta. We have been to a few vets in Calgary although they were okay they were not at the level that Dr Eva is. I have an Olde English Bulldog puppy that could barely stand and walk properly and Dr Eva got him back to being and happy playful pup running around and being able to jump on the bed. What I appreciated the most is she never promoted any necessary treatments or medications and always advocated to have the least stressful approach. We live in Downtown Calgary and will happily drive to Dewinton to have him rather checked out by Dr Eva than by anyone else.
Excellent Vet. Quality Care, the cost is high like a lot of people mention, but honestly the service, and quality of care for my animals is worth it.
I had to put one of my animals to sleep here and they let me stay there for over 4 hours to make sure I made the right decision and to say my final goodbyes. Dr Eva is one of the best vets I've ever been too. Such a cozy office too. I would recommend it to anyone.
We have utilized Dewinton Pet Hospital for ten years now, three dogs, three cats, and highly recommend!
We took our hamster to Dewinton and he received amazing care. They are very professional, thorough and follow up every single week. Houdini received great care and has made a full recovery. Really impressed and would absolutely recommend. I have seen some posts about cost. In our experience we were never forced to test Houdini, all options were presented along with costs and why to do them and what would be the risk of not doing them. At no point did we get pressured into anything and the staff were nothing but caring and professional.
Eva was very knowledgeable about my Guinea Pig and gave great help and information. Highly recommend this place for exotic animals. I learned a ton I didn't know about feeding and taking care of my piggies ????
Love this crew. Vets that actually remember you and your critters and their medical needs. Constant follow-up by staff.
So much care was taken to ensure that I got the right information and care procedures for our guineas.
Great place for Bearded Lizard care. my new Bearded Dragon was quite sick when we got her, and they sure took the right steps to get her back to health. We have a whole new dragon now <3. The staff have all been extra helpful and caring. The precautions taken during COVID ensure everyone's safety, which is really comforting.
Took my bunny in very quickly last minute, and gave price estimates, as well as wonderful care for my rabbit. Kept me updated and phoned when she was ready and explained what procedure happened, and how to give her medication at home. Very nice reception and very wonderful vet techs.
Great service and friendly staff.
What a wonderful place! So helpful and nice. Took my pet when no one else would!!!
Have a habit of pushing unnecessary products to hike up the bill and not listening to customer preferences.
Dewinton pet hospital saved my dogs life, it's been almost 5 years since they performed Maples life saving cancer surgery and the memories we have made since then have been priceless. Great staff, exceptional service. They love your pet almost as much as you do!!! 5 stars!!!
Dr. Eva saved our hamster Peanut! He could barely breathe and was extremely congested, now after two days on meds he's eating and drinking on his own...can't thank her enough.
Dont take your Exotic pet here!!! We took my daughter's beloved African Pygmy Hedgehog here after he sustained what we now know is a muscle injury to his leg. They told us they will need to do Xrays on him so they kept him in for a while. They called us back in and told us that he has Bone Cancer and it was spreading to his organs and was in excruciating pain and recommended that he be put down instantly. We were all in tears and in utter shock! We did not take their recommendation as we felt it wasn't Cancer and was just a muscle strain. He is still alive and well today and perfectly fine and we are so happy we didn't listen to them. Horrible diagnosis, dont take your Exotic pet here, if you do get a second opinion first!
Absolutely wonderful and caring staff, and very reasonable pricing to boot. Birb will definitely be back (though hopefully only for his annual checkup)! Thanks again all!
Excellent Veterinarian and staff!
Amazing vet! Really impressed with the time and effort they put in to make sure your best friend gets the best care possible.
I am waiting until such a time as I can write a full review without getting angry as I want to present all the facts that I can without it getting emotionally charged.
From what I experienced here, this Clinic is by far the best staffed and ran Pet Hospital in the whole Calgary area. We have a 1 year old lop ear who ran into some unfortunate luck just recently and took him here. The Doctor who helped us was fantastic, very knowledgeable and boasts with honor her vast experience with the species we brought in, which made my time here well spent! And to top it all off, the veterinarian assistants were more than helpful and answered any of our questions with more than a big smile! If you have a rabbit and want the best, affordable care I would suggest DEWINTON Pet Hospital in a Heart Beat!
They're really thorough in asking all the right questions
Dr. Hadzima is very kind and friendly. I've taken my hedgehog to see her a few times, and she treats her with the best care. I was anxious because hedgies can be hard to handle, but she instantly knew how to get her to open up. The staff are also very kind, and will send to email inquires to check in with your pet.
Nice clean extremely over priced
Our pup wasn’t acting himself, totally and suddenly lethargic and stumbling, wobbling in place with no energy to keep his head up. We were scared, since he just got neutered and it’s a Sunday and none of our local clinics are open. Rushed him to Dewinton, as Google said it was closest. Today the hospital was fully booked but they took us to a room immediately and got us sorted. The service is quick, friendly, and professional, and our pup is feeling so much better with an ensured road of recovery in the next couple weeks. My family and I would highly recommend Dewinton.
Dr. Eva saw my chameleon today. She is very knowledgeable on the species, and especially the breed. She was very kind and easy to ask questions to. She explained everything clearly and thoroughly and made sure we didn't have any questions during and after the appointment. She was able to accommodate xrays during our visit, and was very honest about the procedures and treatments, and gave us a very clear game plan for our little guy. We were given a heating pad right away so he could stay warm, and everyone seemed to handle him gently and carefully. All of the staff we talked to today were very nice, especially the technician who went over all the medications and showed us how to administer them. I would highly recommend Dr. Eva for all exotics, and will definitely continue to use this clinic in the future as well. Thank you, Dr. Eva and staff!
Love the place
My goodness. This veterinary office has been nothing short of helpful and so very patient with me (i am very much a worrier) I have a guinea pig and there are limited exotic vets in the city, but by far Dewinton is the best! Thank you guys!
Dr. Eva was very informative with a bubbly personality! This is the one REPTILE VET that I feel 100% comfortable with when she is handling my precious Blue Tongue Skink. She didn't flinch once! Nor did she show any fear. I'll be transfering all of my reptiles over to her care in the near future. THANK YOU DEWINTON PET HOSPITAL STAFF
Very reliable and honest. Great communication.
Caring vets at this, very knowledgeable and dedicated to helping animals
We brought our Cockatiel in for a secondary opinion after we went in for an emergency at another clinic and the Dewinton staff were amazing, kind and very caring. They were able to find the ailment and explain what we could do to help it. Will continue to go back
Very expensive. Keep wanting my rabbit back too many times when they didnt solve the problem the first time.
Dr Eva, Was wonderful, helped our guinea pig, peanut, She spent over an hour with us explaining nutrition and care - gave us some great advise. And peanut is doing much better!
When we first came to Dewinton Pet Hospital our Great Dane was having serious unknown issues, itchy all over, droopy eyes and so sad. With the care and attention of the staff we figured he had food and environmental allergies. They were so kind to us and our puppy. Today he has is a happy and healthy dog. They answered all our questions and always followed up with care. Their hours worked so well for us and most importantly their attention to detail and how they treated our fur baby and his new parents. We love the Drs and staff so much, thanks for everything
The Team at DeWinton Pet Hospital continue to go above and beyond in their care for our furry family members. Thank you all for your help and special care with Miss Emma. She will be dearly missed.
We brought our little mountain horned dragon here and thought for sure he wasn't going to make it. After some quick care from Dr. Eva we believe he is well on his way back to being healthy and happy.
I took my budgie Carrera as she had what looked like a mangled leg. Sure enough x-ray showed a broken "bird knee"- She ended up dying not too long after all the medications given to her, the recommendations to live in a cardboard box as well as all the trauma for the visits, wings clips at such a stressful time for her, etc. etc. I should have just let her live her life with her sweetie in her big cage to the end-way TOO much trauma treatment recommended for a little budgie :(.
Where do I even begin? Dr. Eva and all of the staff at Dewinton Pet Hospital are incredible. Without them our little chinchilla would not be with us. It has been a very long road to recovery for our Chinchilla but the team at Dewinton has been there for us every step of the way. Back in February our special needs Chinchilla Indy broke his leg. Indy is special needs due to nerve damage that had been caused from a very severe ear infection and has a permanent head tilt. When we rescued Indy a year ago we knew he was special but just not how special. When we got in to see Dr Eva she did as much of a complete physical as she could without causing him more pain (due to the very obviously broken leg) and revealed to us that Indy was in fact blind (which our previous exotics vet *now retired* failed to mention to us when we took him in after the first month of having him). The Dewinton team helped us with so many different issues that we hit along the way. It's now nearing the end of June and Indy is finally healed and back to his almost normal self (still battling some gi stasis). Without the team of incredible people at Dewinton we would not have our little Indy. Dewinton Pet Hospital has been wonderful. Due to us living in Lethbridge we would have had to drive two hours to take our man to the vet. Dr Eva and the Dewinton team worked with us from so far away so we could treat our boy at home as much as possible. We got calls every day for updates on his status and during a very scary time when he had to be housed at Dewinton for 2 weeks we recieved phone calls and emails with written and photographic updates daily. Dr Eva gave us all of the options she could. She will do what she needs to do to insure that your pet will be in the best care and recieve the best treatment for their needs. She will tell you things straight. In the beginning Dr. Eva let us know that was going to be a very difficult road for Indy. There were many instances where it was touch and go but Dr. Eva and her team helped Indy through it all. A huge thank you to all of the amazing people at Dewinton Pet Hospital. We never would have gotten to this point without every single one of you!
Only vet clinic within a 120 mile radius of me who would look at my turkey. Awesome people!
Friendly, helpful staff. They treated my pet as if it were their own. Great for exotic pets
They're professional and knowledgeable, They cared for my daughters Guinea pig and my elderly bichon shitzu...Dr. Eva and Dr. Maros are caring, taking all the time required for you to understand what care is required...wouldn't go anywhere else!!
i cant say enough good things about this clinic! My hedgehog Basil had a massively infected hind foot and i thought he was going to lose it to a bone infection or at the very least a toe! i had taken him to an emergency vet before that frankly i wish i hadn't taken him to as the wrong meds were assigned. and i felt they never really LOOKED at his foot. the vet here (Eva i think her name was?) sorted us out and pointed out WHY the keds he assigned were not right and how we coukd transition him to others for better healing. He is one week into treatment and he's made a fantastic recovery. They were so concerned with him and thorough. They are now my favorites for exotic pets and when he's due for a check up instead of taking him to avian exotic which i live by i think I'd rather the half hour drive to see them! thank you again for everything!
We recently experienced our two corgis’s fall ill at the same time, which was very unsettling especially when we were driving down from St. Albert to start a two week vacation. We called Dewinton Pet Hospital ASAP, in which they accommodated both within an hour of us arriving into Calgary. Needless to say, the next 72 hours were touch and go. Dewinton vet Dr. Eva and her staff were excellent, quick in diagnostic assessment and so compassionate with their daily follow up Ginger & Churchill. We want to express our true appreciation to the clinic and staff. Thank you to what you do for all our animal children as I cannot image the emotional rollercoaster you and your staff experience day in and day out with regards to the health of family pets, and the emotions of your clients. It’s been 10 days now, and both dogs are on the mend, back to their playful happy and cuddly selves. Kisses from G & C.
Call around you pay double what any other vet will charge you here and worse service ever.
Do NOT bring your pets here unless you want them to be over medicated, over tested and your wallet gouged!!! I have a bunny that had head tilt, I previously had a bad experience with this vet so I really didn’t want to take him there but my other vet was full and said it was an emergcy to get him in ASAP. I dropped my bun off for the initial $100 check up (fairly standard) but they suggested an additional over $600 is exams, x-rays and samples. They mentioned it also could just be an ear infection or this other thing that effects 60% of the buns in the area.... I decided try and treat the ear infection and the other thing to see how that went first. When I picked my bun up they suggested 7!! Different medicines/treatments!! I started asking what each thing was for .. She told me to start force feeding the bun even though I told her he was eating fine, she prescribed something to help him go to the bathroom even though I told her he was stressed and normally doesn’t go out of his litter box (they also had different litter and he was obviously stressed). After refusing 3 of the medications it was still $280 ! (On top of the $100 exam). When they showed me how to give the bun medicine it was a little aggressive .. they wrap him up so he can’t move and put the seringe in his mouth. When I got home I could just pet him and put it in his mouth gently .. no need to force him or wrap him up at all. I already wasn’t going to go back but then I get close to the end of medicating and I realize they didn’t give me enough for the days/dose that they told me ... I had to drive all the way back out there and they were going to make me pay for “additional” medication !!!!! Thank goodness I actually asked what everything was for and knew my bun better than the number they treated Him like. This was expensive but it could have been much worse ! Bun is totally fine and a lot happier because I didn’t jam food down his throat unessicarly.
I had an emergency with an exotic pet and the vets and technicians were so thorough and provided lots of options for my pets care. Pricing was always discussed openly and thoroughly. The treatment plan was meticulously explained to me so I fully understood what to do for home care. Even with the COVID precautions, the animals are given the very best care. 100% recommend for anyone looking for a vet that is looking out for your fur babies.
Dr. Eva Hadzima and her staff are absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of turtles is very impressive. She explains in very simple terms with recommendations and why things need to be done without being forceful. Follow ups from her staff show customer service and well being of the pet shows passion in their work. She is now my new favorite super hero!! Thank you Dr. Eva!!!! You are so awesome!!
Love the way our vets love our furbabies
Dr Eva did a full check up of our mice and hamster, different options were given to us to help our little babies. We were able to choose based on well explained recommendations. They are experts that treat people and animals well. They remember their names and have the animals wellbeing in mind. My only problem are the fees. Meds and checkup fees are on the higher side. The cost is a big impact on families that love their pets, but we want nothing but the best for our babies.
I took my hedgehog, Angel, here for a wellness check once I learned that they take exotics (much easier than traveling to Avian and Exotic, although they are wonderful as well). Dr. Eva provided me with a much more detailed examination than I could have expected, and answered all my questions. I have always been provided with a list of all possible treatment options, but have NEVER had anything pushed on me. Moreso, Dr. Eva has helped me make decisions to not jump into full testing, but start slowly and with only the necessary testing/treatments. It is very clear to me her passion in not only treating these animals, but continuing to follow up, no pet goes forgotten here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful when doing teachings or explaining. My baby girl is thriving and doing better than ever after coming here!
My daughter has taken her Cavies and Bunnies to Dewinton Vet and it is amazing . A beautiful establishment. Inviting, comfortable and clean enviroment with fun whimsical Art. We are well taken care of and Eva she is very kind compassionate and detailed Doctor of Animals. I love how she says"Hi family" makes us feel very much at home. We Trust her knowledge of Animals which makes us better people when making decisions for our pet friends; even the hard ones she is there for us all. Thank you! Sheila Harris
Very kind professional vets.
The doctors and staff here have always taken the best care of my fur babies.
My dog loves coming here! Both vets are amazing and the rest of the staff are super awesome. You can tell how much they all care about your pet! Pricing was very reasonable as well! My dog cries as we drive away!
Excellent care while I had to say goodbye to my pet canary. Clinic is strikingly clean and cozy.
This place is amazing. We take our dogs Likra and Cezar here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We are from De Winton area. I would not bring my pets anywhere else. Thanks Alex :)
Good for rabbits
DeWinton Vet Hospital is truly one of the most amazing vets I have ever had the pleasure of going to. Dr. Eva and Dr. Maros have a compassion for animals like no other. Due to their attention to detail, love for animals, I was able to have extra days, months and even years with my dog. They always listened to my concerns and never pushed me to do unnecessary tests. They have always explained the treatment plan and the diagnosis in a way that we were able to understand. They constantly answered my phone calls no matter what time of day or night. When the time came to make the very difficult decision for my dog, they were with us every step of the way. Dr. Maros came to our house and was not rushed in any sort of way. He let us take as much time as we needed. I am forever thankful for the amazing team at DeWinton! Thank you so very much!
They take great care of my dog, he actually enjoys spending time with the vets here! They are very compassionate and I am confident that they will do everything they can to keep him healthy.
My rabbit has been suffering from GI stasis over the last year. I've taken him to other vet clinics which were able to ease his symptoms, but they did not look further into what could be causing the issue. He was having symptoms again today and I didn't know where to turn because it felt like no one was able to help us, so I called DeWinton Pet Hospital to seek alternate advice and they fit me in immediately and were incredibly kind and reassuring. They performed diagnostic tests despite how busy they were and they sent me home with a plan, and a recheck, which is what I've been lacking from the other clinics I've visited. I am SO grateful for the care they provided for my rabbit today. I feel like I'm in good hands and I've found a vet clinic where I will be taking all of my exotics to. I was not in a good place today and I'm so grateful for the care and dedication they provided for both my rabbit, Buns, and myself.
Excellent and outstanding clinic!
Very happy with the vet here. He was able to provide my dog with some medication that has made his life better.
I have nothing but good things to say about Dewinton Pet Hospital. I've been taking my ball python here since I got him in 2017. He was severely ill when I got him and was dying of sepsis. He would not be alive today if it weren't for Dr. Eva and her team. Their knowledge and dedication saved his life. There's no one I trust more than Dr. Eva when it comes to my snake's health. The staff is always very kind, helpful, and professional. They explain everything in a comprehensive manner and are always happy to answer any questions you have. I definitely recommend taking your pets here as they will definitely be taken care of!
Dr Eva it was very kind of you to drop off that little bag of goodies for me . Thank you so much! It was completely unexpected and very kind of you to take time out of your very busy day for me. Andrea
I have taken a few of my animals to the Dewinton clinic and they have always been extremely professional an caring. Over the holidays I had to bring my cat in due to an ingrown nail and they were able to get her in that day and took great care of her. Thank you for being so amazing and caring.
Staff is helpful and super friendly.
Wonderful Veterinarians and Staff!
I called on September 08, 2020 at approximately 6:40pm. My bird was dying and I told the receptionist it was an emergency. I then proceeded to ask her if they had an Avian specialist available; she said yes. I asked her if I could come in right away for emergency treatment and she then changed her statement; she told me that the Avian specialist would be leaving in 20 minutes after she was finished with her last appointment, so my animal could not be treated. To make matters worse, she then proceeded to try and remedy the situation by suggesting another vet I could call; and after calling, I found out that it wasn't even a vet that specialized in birds. Birds are very fragile animals; when they're dying, every minute counts. I hope that the time wasted as my bird lost consciousness, didn't cost her, her life.
Love this place. It is for us far, however we like to go there as Duke likes his doctors as well. Great service, friendly staff and good prices. Highly recommended if you really want a good service for your pet. Dewinton pet hospital = happy owners and happy pets ????????????????
Wonderful staff and Doctor
For as long as I have animals, I will continue to go to Dr Maros. Not only does it appear that his staff are happy and treated well, they truly care about my cats. Anytime I have a concern, they will always get me in right away. I appreciate the follow up phone calls after the appointments as well to see how the cats are doing. The wait is never too long, and I’ve only ever gotten great service. Five stars every day for this amazing clinic.
This place is a complete rip off, 1,000.00 for blood work and X-rays for our cat. This business wants nothing more than to empty your wallet. Price gouging at its finest. Their “high end low end” estimates always go above and beyond the high end estimation. Our family feels completely ripped off and taken advantage of. Would give less stars if I could.
