I'm giving two stars instead of one for one reason: several weeks ago I had my cat rushed in with a blocked bladder from crystals. The staff got him in that morning, and kept him overnight with several calls to me to let me know how he was doing. The bill was just over $1300. I was told I need to keep buying him special food to prevent any further issues like that one. Today, I went to grab his more food on my lunch hour, spent a realistic 15-20 minutes waiting for anyone to acknowledge that I was even there while they chatted to each other with their Starbucks and contemplated taking the afternoon off. I am very frustrated that a single client waiting for some help to get food for her beloved animal, while being the only client in the storefront, was not at least told that someone would be with me shortly, or at all. Even more frustrated that when another person walked in and walked straight to the counter, they were greeted with a smile, and started a conversation with reception immediately. While I am grateful that my cat was rushed immediately into surgery, I will not be revisiting the clinic any time soon for my future pet needs. EDIT: I was called by the office manager (same day) who apologized for the experience, asked me how my feline was holding up since his surgery, and offered some free food for him if I wanted to pick it up. She was very nice and personable, and went above and beyond what I expected. I sincerely appreciate the follow up, thank you.

My first experience here was when my dog who had run away was hit by a car near this vet, and a good samaritan brought my husky in to them, minutes before their closing time. They made great effort to get ahold of me, and stayed open late to let me come and visit my dog. They then walked with me through the process of treatment, and the receptionists, techs and vets were all patient, compassionate, and very caring for my pup. I switched from my previous regular vet after that experience and have been very happy with them ever since for all check ups and vaccinations. Great service, knowledgeable staff, competitive pricing, almost no wait times, and I feel me and my pups are valued when we come here.

I don’t know what I would do without this Veterinary Clinic! I have seen most (if not all) of the amazing Vets here and have always felt listened to, and cared for. I have two dogs, one with many chronic health issues, and one who needed a 4 lb. tumour, along with his spleen, removed. I trust my dogs’ lives with them! The support and front office staff are friendly and helpful and always remain calm even under busy and intense conditions. Thank you for the 5 star service ALWAYS. I just wish I didn’t have to visit so often :).

Thank you to the Crestwood Veterinary team and Dr. Todd Scott for all of your help today in patching up our fur baby. Our little Dexter ended up at the vet today because his paw was bleeding profusely. They found he ripped out an entire nail and had a laceration that needs sutures. The team there was so great to get Dexter in and showed my husband the utmost respect. He was put under to get the sutures and is now back at home with his family.

We just recently started going to Crestwood Vet clinic at the recommendation of a friend of mine. We went for a second opinion with regards to a concern with our Boxer. We were very pleased with the information and options we were given. We saw Dr. Pellegrino and she was great! She gave us more information in 15 minutes than with 2 vet appointments at our other vet. We also sadly had to put to sleep our 12 year old Pitbull a few weeks later. Instead of going to the other clinic we'd been going to forever, we took her to Crestwood because we were so impressed with our previous visit and the overall atmosphere of the clinic. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to be done for her, but the vet (We saw Dr. Pellegrino again), technicians and office staff were all very kind, sensitive and caring to her and us, as she is the first dog my husband and I have ever had to put to sleep. We really appreciated their honesty and sensitivity to the matter and I truly can't say enough good things!!

Crestwood Vet Clinic is absolutely the best veterinary clinic in Edmonton hands down. Every single staff member and doctor are incredibly caring, compassionate, patient and kind to not just your furry family member but to you as well. I have been taking my dogs there now for two years and each time the quality of service is consistently great. I have two very nervous around new people type dogs, and going to the vet is never a fun time. Dr Joel is always very patient and understanding. By the end of their exam they are both calm(er), trusting and taking treats from him and other staff! Crestwood is exceptional. I recommend them to anyone and everyone I know with furry friends!

My cat had an ultrasound here, and ultimately had a mass removed from her bladder. Initially, I had suggested that she would need to be sedated for the ultrasound, she is not a fan of people in general. But they were kind and gentle and calm and she did not need to be sedated. After her surgery, they let me come into the back and load her into the carrier, so it was less stressful for all. She is healing beautifully, they did a nice job on her tummy.

Was forced to go here to put a family dog down due to availability issues at regular vet, all went well during that appointment but when they called me to pick up the dogs remains (cremated); they claimed I did not pay... Lady at desk accused me of lying when I told her yes in fact I did pay. I was then left with no option but to pull up my online banking records to prove that I had paid for services rendered.

We are Doberman breeders and have been going to Crestwood Veterinary Center for a number of years now. As we show and breed our dogs, we also spend a great deal of time and effort to ensure those dogs have the best when it comes to not only routine veterinary care, but also health testing, whelping, and tail docking... Crestwood definitely fits our needs! The doctors and technicians are always professional and competent and hold their patients care in the highest regard. They have never let us down. I am disappointed to hear that one individual had such a negative experience with this clinic. It appears this person was a first time visitor and perhaps does not understand the docking process well. Being a breeder that has had a number of litters docked at this practice over the years, I can assure anyone concerned that the doctor that performs this service on my puppies is very confident and competent in his skills and that is plainly evidenced by his exceptional work. Tails always come out beautifully! I can honestly say, we have had bad vets and this is NOT one of them! Warm and welcoming, competent and professional, I highly recommend this clinic and staff!!!

I could not say enough about Dr. Andrea Pellegrino and the staff at Crestwood. They are all AMAZING. They got me in on the same day for an emergency surgery. My 7 month old cane corso had to get 6 inches of his intestines removed. She cares about these animals like they are her own. She kept me updated on ever step of this process. I have been going to this vet for a few years, actually both my niece and I take our cats. The last check up, they clipped my cat's nails for free. I go a couple of weeks ago and they charged me $26.25. I was dumbfounded and appalled. Needless to say, I no longer use them. quite a disappointment to say the very least!!!!!

My Norwegian Elkhound has had two TPLO ( torn ACL) surgeries there and both time he came home in good shape and is recovering quickly. Friendly staff, well organised, send reminder before the appointment and they follow up after the surgery.

They were very accommodating to finding a solution for us, including having me send a photo of the stitches to decide of I had to bring her in or not.

Hi My name is Molly and I asked my Mommy to take dictation for me cuz my paws hit too many keys at the same time, and besides I can't hold a pen. Whenever my Mom tells me we are going for a car ride to see Dr. Doug I wag and wag and wag my tail so hard that sometimes I fall over and I can't wait to get into my car seat. Well, ok that is until we pull into the parking lot and then it hits me! OH, OH the VET!. I start to shake and shed and babble while I get 'prompted' thru the door but you know what?, deep down inside I love Dr. Doug - he's my buddy. Even though I am a fraidy dog I know he is happy to see me and will takes really good care of me. My friends at the front desk (and even the ones behind that 'crazy swinging door') always say hi and I talk back. I'm pretty sure they love me as much as I love them. When our puppy, Pippin, displayed extreme signs of anxiety at puppy classes, the trainer recommended we take our her to see Dr. Kristie Smith, and I’m so glad we did! She listened intently to our concerns and immediately struck up a rapport with Pip, which put us at ease. Dr. Smith determined a more natural remedy approach (combined with deference training) would be suitable to try and help Pippin with her anxiety, and since then we have seen an improvement in her behaviour, which will hopefully continue! We had previously taken Pippin to a different vet, but since we had such a positive experience we will now be taking her to see Dr. Smith for any future needs. If you’re looking for a vet, look no further!

We just love Crestwood Centre. It has been a wonderful experience for both of our dogs. Bozley who passed away 4 years ago and they were awesome with us. Now on Saturday October 29th our Tika-Marie passed away and they were so good to us. It was so hard to say bye to our little girl but we know she is with Bozley playing again and Nannie Hawirko is cuddling them both. Big hug to Tikka's Dr Lisa who gave her hugs and cuddles when we would come for appointments and all of her advice with Tika's illness. We will miss all of you as now we are going to have no pets until the time is right again. HUGS to this wonderful place!!

I have a very agitated cat and I've been to multiple vets over the last 6 months. Unfortunately for both my cat and my wallet, this has caused me to continue to have to pay for assessments without getting a proper diagnosis because there is no calming him down. Today I called in a panic after I noticed my cat having issues walking down the stairs (what seems like a progressive injury/illness). Not only did they get me in right away (and I know this wasn't easy because they lobby was full when I got there) but they had one of the owners address our concerns because they knew of our history trying to diagnose the problem. He spent the time it took to just sit in the room and give my cat the time to get comfortable with him and his surroundings. (After and through multiple swipes and hisses!) Even through this though we were still not able to get a full diagnosis at this time due to his extreme agitation, we came up with a plan on how to approach dealing with this properly moving forward. I was given instructions on what to watch for and report, and a small sedative for when we need to come back for further analysis. While this behaviour might not seem unusual to some, I found their customer service to be beyond any expectation. Their focus and determination to help me deserves 10 stars, I'm disappointed I'm stuck giving them only 5. What I hope this review does is give that person out there reading this the confidence to overcome any apprehension of bringing your loved one to this Centre. You will be treated with grace, professionalism and beyond that leave feeling like they've cared for your animal like it was one of their own.

Very unhelpful. Called them on a Wednesday to inquire about a teeth cleaning appt. Had our dog's last month check-up and dental estimate from a different vet emailed over and didn't hear back. Called back, was kept on hold for ten minutes, other people picked up the call and put me back on hold (everyone sounded flustered) and they said there estimate is actually 700 more than the one we sent over from Whitemud Vet and they aren't able to email me a breakdown of the costs, asked me to drive over to pick up the copy of the estimate. How inconvenient. I'll stay with my current vet, thanks.

They have blown me away for a city Vet. Their prices aren't unreasonable, their clinic is super well run and efficient. The staff are very pleasant, the veterinarians are incredibly skilled and honest. Not the normal let's run every test I can think of before I'll say anything... We have not had good experiences at most vets in Edmonton. They were all typical larger scale clinics that charge insane markups on products and services to a sickening degree. I mean come on $54 for a simple plastic dog cone really Guardian? I used to take our dogs all the way out to a small place in Morinville just to get reasonable prices and honest opinions. Now we don't have to. Thanks Crestwood. Stay real. Please...

Other places always seem like they are trying to get you to pay more, or buy more things, but Crestwood just does what needs to be done! Went here because Lynnwood was closed down. Staff was friendly and the doctor was good, clean place too. Decent hours for the working man to get your animal in without missing work too. I was quoted $600 for my cats' teeth cleaning (no extractions, just for cleaning and anesthetic.) They told me I'd likely be back when I said I'd shop around. I phoned another place and was quoted $250 for the same service, first place I called too. I think it goes without saying that I won't return for the price I was quoted for a routine procedure.

Dr. Gruber' keen eye caught a tumor in my dog before it ruptured in an xray for an unrelated problem. The front end staff are the nicest ladies you will ever meet. I went to see Dr. Scott after I received a recommendation for a very expensive surgery and diagnostic quote. The recommended options were quoted at $4500.00. When Dr Scott took his own X-rays there was no evidence of a fracture so obviously no need for a surgery. The level of care was superb and there was no expensive up-sell that has become so common with the clinics these days. At the end of the day, I got great care for a reasonable price and left feeling I had provided the right level of care for my friend! Thanks Dr. Scott

Awesome clinic with super sweet staff. I've dealt with three of the vets and they're all amazing. I adopted the sweetest one eyed cat from a shelter, she had upper resp but they assured me I just needed to finish her antibiotic pack and she would be good to go. Turned out her whole head was one big infection and she was at risk of losing at least one ear. Dr. Watts and Dr. Adams worked with me to get her healthy despite her gastro problems with meds. She's doing amazing now. I can't recommend them enough.

Just brought my dog for the first time to this place. The vet (Dr Book) if that's who she was (never introduced herself so I'm not sure) was useless. When she came in to the exam room, my dog was barking at her. Instead of speaking to her or even getting down to the dogs level, she(dr) backed herself into the corner. At no time did she try to speak to her or calm her in any way. The dog was obviously scared but nothing was initiated to try and calm her fears. Basically told me she couldn't examine her unless she was sedated or muzzled. Let me make it clear my dog NEVER barred her teeth or snarled in any way whatsoever. She was barking, that's it. I will also point out that she never barked in the front office at the staff or people waiting while we were waiting to go into the exam room nor did she bark at anyone while we were leaving. This vet is in the wrong profession in my opinion. I have been to many vets over the years who have always spoken to my animals to calm them and reassure them if they were anxious especially when first meeting them! I can't speak for the rest of the vets at this practice but I definitely wouldn't recommend Dr Book to anyone. I could not trust her with the health of my pet based on her total lack of care.

I was first impressed by Dr Scott, when bringing our Miss Emma, to Penny for therapy, he saw Emma several times as Penny consulted with him basically given "M" a full exam; no charge. He has tru the years surprised me several times in the best of ways, and again today. Prior to Dr Scott, we had some very horrible experiences with vets, Emma suffered much to much, most were out to take as much $ as possible from you, not what would be best for your pet. Dr Scott, cares, is honest, he is for what's best for your pet, if there's a simple solution he'll tell you. Thank You Dr Scott.

We started taking our 2 dogs to Crestwood when we moved here a year ago. The vet we saw, was really evasive. Getting any information out of him was like pulling teeth. It's as if I had to be the professional and ask him to confirm things: is his weight okay, are his teeth okay, information that should have been offered freely. I figured I would try a different vet at the same clinic, since this clinic was recommended by a local breeder. But no, same evasive lack of information. I also had to get some paper work completed for a patella examination because our one dog is on stud contract. The receptionist didn't even know what a patella was. The receptionist told me it would be a separate examination. When I told our breeder this, she was dumbfounded, it's just an exam of the patella (knee). Most recently, our other dog had haemorrhagic gastroenteritis, which is an emergency situation, and they refused to see her because they were full. They obviously don't care about the animals they treat, they just care about the payment of the final bill. The vets are cold and unhelpful and the receptionists are useless. I've asked them to forward bloodwork results to our new vet, and they still haven't done it. So disappointed in Crestwood.

We had many rescue cats 8 all seen in this clinic. We paid always as services rendered. For some reason without owners knowledge staff kept sending out statements and unprofessional letters requesting more money?When asking for clarification told by same rude clerk "Just pay it"? We as clients had to do all fact finding and a lab and distributor once again had to explain to this clinic that this bill was settled? First time in 20 years we encountered this! Everyone that works here is so nice and friendly to you and your animals! All the front staff love every animal that comes in. I've brought my puppy here a few times and she's always treated so well and honestly loves going to the vet. I cannot recommend this place more!

Unfortunately our dog Cooper needed TPLO on both legs over two years. He is back to running with no issues so a great success. The staff are very friendly, there were no delays, and they do care for both the owner and the animal. The fact that you can call and get answers while in rehab portion of recover was a great help. These operations are very costly, and I do question whether we should spend this money, but one less luxury is worth having Cooper well and happy.

We brought our Boston Terrier Abbie here about 5 years ago. After our previous vet did a surgery on both of her hind legs and it failed within 2 weeks so she couldn't walk at all. The other vet wouldn't do anything! ???? I did some research on the internet for the best orthopedic veterinarian I could find here in Edmonton. Also most importantly my family was looking for a vet that really cares for each animal that walks through the door. Not a clinic just looking for the profit at the end of the day. We finally found Todd Scott ???? Our dog has had countless number of surgeries trying to correct her knee issues and other concerns that have come up! Most veterinarians would run away scared and frustrated at this very rare special fur baby! Not Todd though; he always has kept his promise of never stop trying to help our precious fur baby. My family has never spent this much money for a very special dog. Honestly I can't thank this vet enough or be able to show just how thankful I am to know they were there. Crestwood makes it so easy and such a caring atmosphere; that you just enjoy going there! We've seen almost everyone there to Penny her Physiotherapist (maybe Abbie's favorite ????) reception (they are all so wonderful). We highly recommend this vet if you love your fur babies as much as us!

Place is going downhill fast unfortunately. Wrong dosage on meds. Given a quote which had procedures left off of it. Then showed up to a bill increased by 50%. Was told 5 to 6 days for biopsy results. After 3 weeks i had to call and ask for them. And yet the staff chuckled at my comment about having to babysit them. When its clearly all on the animals owners to do as much research as possible before entering their front door. And be prepared for some of the highest prices in the area. No wonder the whole staff is all smiles... They do as little as possible and are clearly over-paid :( Very disappointed on many fronts :(

I have visited this clinic a few times and have had wonderful experiences with the veterinarians at this clinic. I was originally referred to this clinic by a vet in whitecourt who did a surgery on my dog that did not work. The vet told me that my dog would need another surgery. Crestwood ended up doing it and I had my reservations about another surgery on her especially because I did not like the vet at white court but Crestwood was an entire different experience. They were absolutely lovely, the vet eased all of my worries and I knew that my dog would be in great hands. I asked so many questions to this vet and they answered every single one in depth. Although the clinic was busy, I did not feel that they rushed through the appointment and they took the time and effort to make sure I felt comfortable before leaving. Fast forward to almost a year later and my dog is limping again since she happened to somehow overexert herself. I saw Dr. Andrea Pellegrino and by far, she is my favourite vet I've ever taken my dog to. She is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell by the way she treats your pet that she isn't a vet for the money but its because she has a genuine love for animals. She is the most gentle and kind I have ever seen a vet interact with my pet. What really impressed me was that she knew a lot about my dogs medical history just from memory and that says a lot because it shows she genuinely cares and has an interest in the well being of my dog. She is such a lovely vet and also very personable and my dog adores her as well. In fact, I accidentally left my wallet in the car so I walked out with my dog to get it and she really did not want to go in my car for some reason. Then when I walked back towards the vet after getting my wallet, my dog nearly ran towards the door to go back to the vet. My dog isn't particularly strange either but even she loves going to this clinic. I think that's all the proof you need that this vet clinic is great! Big thanks to all the staff here who take lovely care of my dog each and every time I bring her in, especially Dr. Pellegrino!

Was seen by a new vet this time who seemed unwilling to help with anything. I brought her attention to a lesion on my dog's leg, she had no idea what it was and said to just keep an eye on it. I expressed that my dog has had issues with her anal glands before and had been scooting and licking them, vet wouldn't empty them. Didn't even offer to clip the nails. The staff was the same as usual, seemingly best friends with every person that came through the door, but standoffish and aloof to me. Definitely switching to a new vet.

I have been a loyal Crestwood client for decades - beginning back in the day when they did a lot of large animal (horses) work. Of late, their prices have just extended beyond my range. I like the people (most of the vets), but my disenchantment began with a $50 glance at a skin growth that was just a mole (in the examining room 3 minutes tops with Dr. Machum) and culminated with a $500+ estimate for teeth cleaning for a dog. After investigating the teeth cleaning options and finding I could get it done for less than half the price ($240) at the Spay Clinic (very good job, personable vet) and finding that I can also get routine vaccinations done there I think I'm done with Crestwood.

I went to Crestwood for almost 4 years for anything I needed for my dogs. I only recently changed vets since moving to BC. The front desk people are amazing and the vets are even better. They always found a way to book me in for routine care even when they were busy. If I ever had an emergency I was able to be seen within hours of calling. My catahoula is a bit skeptical with new people and they always went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. It's clean, the staff are compassionate and the prices are fair for the quality of care my dogs received.

We had to have our cat of 19 years put down today, and I have to say that this clinic is the best I have ever had to deal with. They were so compassionate and so very easy to deal with. There rates are far better than the other clinics we checked out. I do have to admit I read reviews prior to booking the appointment and I will be taking my dog there despite having a clinic up the road. I loved there attitude, they really seemed to care about the pets and explained it all prior to doing anything. They gave my husband & I time to grieve before leaving. I am not one for writing reviews but really had to share our experience with this clinic. Its not about money its about the animals. They took what we said and didn't offer to do more test before putting her down. It was heart wrenching but a good experience with them. UPDATE: we received a card in the mail today and I burst into tears. It was in some ways a sympathy card, but yet so much more. A lovely letter letting us know we did the right thing but also a foot print of kitty's was in the card. Signed by all the staff members. Totally floored me. Such awesome people. Not surprised with the near 5 star rating. We were referred here by our local vet after our dog tore its cruciate 4 years ago. Just went back yesterday and still a very pleasant experience. The whole team is fabulous. Dr. Scott backs up his work and will make it right. Despite the cruciate repair not working and failing twice we ended up doing a third surgery (TPLO) which eventually did the trick. Dr. Scott only charged us for the TPLO despite doing 3 surgeries on our dog and we are so very grateful. I never feel taken advantage of here, Dr. Scott and his team take their time and always make time for questions and thorough explanations of the options. I wish we lived closer so we could go here all the time. Thank you Crestwood Vet, we really appreciate everything you have done for us. Keep up the good work!
