Our young dog had porcupine quills in her mouth ???? and she got quick thorough treatment. The vet was named Darlene, I think, and she was very sensitive to our dog's anxiety and pain - approached her cautiously and quietly, which really liked. They aren't our regular vet as we live in innisfail, but they're open on Saturday and I wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

Took my 9 week old kitty in due to a sore paw. The vet was very thorough in examining him. Prescribed some meds. And he's back to his normal rambunctious self again. Thank you so much.

This is our go-to emergency vet, as it is closest, which thankfully we haven't had to use yet. But, our other experiences here have been fabulous! They are great about ordering food for my doggo - it was super easy to send them a message on messenger, and it was ready to pick up when I came into town. Staff have always been above and beyond friendly, and they came highly recommended by friends.

Made so many mistakes . Left the catheter in her leg and I saw it when I came home. Did not clean up her spaying. Misdiagnosed my guinea pigs. Too much money for the job that was done.

The support staff and locum veterinarian were very sensitive to the euthanization of my beloved pet. They treated us with sensitivity and compassion. I look forward to giving this clinic my future business. The facilities do not have that overwhelming bleach and cleaning products smell that most clinics do. My dog was never fearful there and we always felt very at home in this clinic.

We had an emergency on a stat holiday. We just moved into the area, and after having horrendous experiences with city vets we were terrified with what this emergency was going to entail! We called and were ushered to Chinook Country Vet Clinic where Dr. Darlene Donzelmann instantly put us at ease! I looked at her and recalled saying 'i find it difficult to trust vets'... and it has been a wonderful relationship since then! The staff and doctors here are extraordinarily kind and abolutely, without a doubt, trustworthy. We have five dogs, four cats and foster puppies. We even bring our friends dogs to see them. The time and genuine care they give to our animals is unique, and difficult to find these days. We would say that anyone in need of veterinian care, at a cost that is not jaw droppingly, bank account burning, then Chinook Country Vet Clinic is the place to bring your pets.

I am in love with this place! I had been calling around for price quotes for her spay, microchip, etc. and they were *by far* the most inexpensive clinic to go to. The woman I spoke to went above and beyond to answer all my questions. I loved that after booking the appointment, they emailed an estimate cost and break down of every product they intended on using, and the final receipt reflected each product actually used so I knew exactly what I was paying for. Everyone we spoke to in the exam rooms were very polite, kind, and informative. They were very gentle and patient with my pup which made me feel very comfortable leaving her with them as she has severe separation anxiety. I loved my experience and the clinic so much that I ended up getting my cats records sent over to them. I live in Airdrie and they are 1000% worth the 45 minute drive! Thank you, Chinook Country!

When I couldn't get a local veterinarian in my town to call me back to answer some questions I decided to take my business elsewhere. Chinook Country Veterinary Clinic treated me like I was important to them from the get go, they answered all my questions and were very patient with me as I had a dying cat in need of euthanasia. I have had the cat 15 years, he is a special cat and very dear to me. They handled everything professionally and with compassion as well as empathy. I would recommend their services in a heartbeat.

We had concerns about our border collie Max acting unlike himself following an abdominal surgery he had a few days ago. Dr. Donszelmann met us at the door after hours. She explained to us step by step everything that she was checking out and assured us that his behavior was nothing unexpected after surgery. She also gave excellent instructions on what to look for in the next few days and what too do about any problems should they occur. We felt like our dog was in excellent hands the whole time we were there and would definitely recommend their emergency services! Thank you so much Darleen for taking such good care of our Max!

I have been a customer at Chinook Country vet for about 8 years or more. Dudley, our cocker spaniel was very sick and Darlene was the only vet who figured out what was the matter with him and made the rest of his life much better. I now have 2 dogs which both go to Chinook vet. My lab has severe allergies and the vets there have put her on soy food and I have not had a problem since. All the staff is very friendly and all know their jobs very very well. I would not take my animals any where else.

this vet clinic does not care about your animal went there with my bernese mountain dog twice. She was scratching and itching her hair out they told me to call if it worsened, she developed a nasty bald oozing patch called a hot spot and when I called to bring her back in they said they were booked and could not see her till tomorrow. if left the spot doubles in size and gets horribly worse. if you see this vet I hope they have time for your emergency.

The Dr's and staff at Chinook Country Vet are amazing. Dr Darlene has been fantastic with all 4 of my dogs, especially my little Shitzu who's back hips she managed to save with a very complicated surgery, you'd never know she once had issues. and with all of my bulldogs the staff are incredilbe knowledgable of the breed, know each one by their little wookie noises they make before they even see them :) I would highly recommend this clinic and the staff to anyone who loves their pets and wants to receive superior care by a qualified and caring staff.

When Chinook(my 1 yo pup) and I get out of the truck at the vets office, she gets sooo excited. It is by far one of her favorite places to go! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I moved back to Calgary and I still take Chinook there. We make the trip because its totally worth it! I will not go to another vet because the quality here is the best I have ever experienced. I have been taking her to this vet since the week i got her when she was 8 weeks.
