I usually don't like to be like this on a review. But this business shocked me. My daughter who has been recently widowed and was moving to the cnpass had a very sick pug the day of the move. I told her seems she had two children two dogs and a cat that stopping for a vet check would be too much and too warm for all of them. I suggested keep driving and that the Bellevue vet clinic is a half block or so from my home. Wait til u get here. I can watch the children and I can help u. The vet clinic was rude when I called for an emergency appointment. The pug went downhill during the drive. She looked lethargic and was panting could barely walk. They suggested after driving 4 hrs that we now drive to pincher creek. Pincher creek had compassion took my daughter's adored pet in and she was sadly put down. We lost a family pet and they wouldn't take her in on compassion. I cancelled my dog's appointment on Tuesday. And told them I will never use such a clinic that has zero compassion. The girl on the phone was like thank you for calling when I said see u on yelp.

Reliable when you've made an appointment for something that will be costly, unreliable for anything else. Our cat was diagnosed here with some form of lymphoma, which caused his chest (thorax, not his lungs) to fill with liquid, which in turn made it hard for him to breathe. We got the liquid removed (~$950 total) and hoped it wouldn't come back (if it did, we'd have to put him down). Sad surprise for us, the next morning he was mouth-breathing, and crying in pain. The Bellevue vet was the closest vet to our home, and every movement our cat made caused him pain. We called to ask if they would put him down... They wouldn't. Why? Because we didnt have an appointment. I'm sorry, I didnt know I had to schedule my own pet's death. They recommended we drive to Calgary, all while he was screaming in pain. I just cant fathom why they would do something like this... In short; They don't care about the wellbeing of your pets... Just the money they make.

NOT IMPRESSED! Concerned why my dog was bleeding a blood clot from his mouth. Called first thing after the long weekend. Amy had no consideration to even ask what our issue was but that we couldn't be seen until April 28th. If we need to be seen sooner to try a different office. We have always gone to this office and his Dr knows his history. Really thought this office had more empathy.

The news is not always positive for ones pets but the professional courtesy and understanding from the staff makes things just a little easier. Their pricing is fair and every step is explained throughly. I have only good things to say about this vet clinic.

Terrible place to bring your pets, unless its after hours or you have an appointment. December 23, 2018, we brought our cat in for breathing problems (after hours). He was diagnosed with a form of lymphoma and was treated by the vet for around $1000. The next morning (December 24) the cat was crying in pain and we knew what we needed to do. I had my husband call the vet office again and he was told that it was Christmas Eve Day, they were full, and to start driving to Calgary to the pet hospital where they would put him in palliative care. First off, I'm not driving a cat who is basically suffocating (from the pressure of the liquid in his thorax pressing on his lungs) 3 hours to Calgary when I could be in Bellevue within 40 minutes. Cruelty at it's best!! Second, this office was more than willing to take my money "after hours" "without an appointment" the day before (I suppose I could of let the cat suffer the rest of the day and brought him in "after hours".....NOT) We ended up bringing him to Country Vets in Pincher Creek who had no issue with the job that needed to be done (even after their office not even being open that day, no appointment, AND having to find a babysitter for her child) Just to be sure I asked her to take another x-ray of his chest (to be sure I was doing the right thing), and his chest was already full of fluid pressing on his lungs. Way to go Bellevue Veterinary Clinic for even having us waste time to try to find another vet to stop the poor cat from suffocating!!!! I would recommend anyone needing to take their pet to the vet to by pass this place and move on to Pincher Creek or elsewhere!!!!

In all my years of owning pets and living in different cities, I have never come across a more ignorant and miserable clinic. The staff on the phone are horribly rude. I was laughed at when I asked if they had a multiple pets discount ( the vet I had in a big city did) I will never go to this place.

I brought my cat there because he wasn't himself just lazy and mopy. They did urine And a blood test and deemed that he has diabetes. They sold me all the insulin and needles to give him daily shots, along with their veterinary grade food. A couple days later after giving him the shots exactly how the doctor prescribed he had a bunch of hyperglycemic seizures. I had to force feed him a bunch of syrup too pull him out of it. Immediately brought him to another vet and they said they cannot find anything that points too diabetes. Along with charging me $600 they almost killed my cat.

We had to rush our dog to the clinic after she ate poison and the clinic was great, seeing us straight away, providing the care our dog needed and following up with us afterwards. They made a stressful situation much easier to deal with, especially as we were only visiting the area and didn't live close by.

The clinic was recommended to me by a professional kennel owner who uses their services, and I would recommend them to any dog owner. My dog travels all over the world and has required vet care in every country we have lived. Bellevue Vet Clinic is one of our favorites!!!
