Last Friday we had to put down our beloved pet dog. I've never had to do this before and I'm so glad I went here. They were so understanding and compassionate their bedside maners were more then exceptional. We had our own privite room and nothing was rushed. Thank you to all the staff and the Doctor who helped us threw that difficult time.

Dr. Mount was incredibly helpful in diagnosing my dog's thyroid condition. 6 months and $3000 at a different vet with no progress so I made the switch. Within a couple of weeks he was able to diagnose the problem and start her on medication. Weeks later after we established a stable dose, my dog was happy and healthy again. Have been going to see Dr. Mount ever since!

I have been going here for a while now with all my pets. Yesterday (Dec 30th) we lost our boy Elko, and to say the entire team was amazing isn’t enough words. They took care of my young nephews while we could say our goodbyes, and Dr. Ware was beyond helpful, she made us feel like we 100% made the right decision, and we could tell she made our big boy comfortable in his last few moments. I cannot say thank you enough to this amazing team. We are forever greatfull. ♥️

Last year I rescued a 4 year old mutt named Cookie. This is the first time I have been the primary care giver of a pet but has lots of pets throughout my childhood. I appreciate so much that patience and care that has been given to myself and Cookie. I feel comfortable asking lots of questions and feel that I am getting Dr. Kim's full attention every time I see her. Cookie became very ill a few months ago and Dr. Kim was patient, clearly laid out all treatment options and was extremely supportive and compassionate to both of us. She followed up with me throughout Cookie's recovery and even remembered who I was and asked about Cookie when I ran into her at the Grocery store. I would highly recommend taking your pets here and have nothing but lovely things to say about this clinic. PS their new location is beautiful and from the minute you walk in the door you and your pet are welcomed with cheer and smiles!

I had my initial visit for my new puppy today and the service was incredible. Everyone was friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. The treats for the animals and the refreshments (for us humans) was a nice touch. Doctor Crisanti was incredibly knowledgable, thorough and very helpful, quick to answer any questions I may have. Airdrie Animal Health Centre employs some truly compassionate nice people. I had to put my sweet dear kitty to sleep today and not only were they able to fit us into their busy schedule but allowed me all the time I needed with my kitty to say goodbye. They have a beautiful private room for this with a private exit to make a horrible situation a little better. SUPER BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE FOLLOWING AWSOME CLINIC TECHS , Payton and Martina !!!! May these ladies live forever in the halls of awsome service rendered today 14 Sept 2018 in Airdrie A.B. Canada. I needed cat food today for our fluffy brat Zena , the Airdrie Animal Health Centre ALWAYS has food in stock , today as it is bound to happen I was out of luck ......OR SO I THOUGHT. Payton and Martina to the rescue !!! Payton two phones, one in each hand calling and holding with SEVERAL other clinics looking for food and Martina jumps in with another phone with even more calls to scrambling to find my cat food. They struck out with the calls, not a bag anywhere .... NOPE NOT DONE YET. Martina jumps to the back of the clinic remembering two holds placed on my brand of food needed , Hypo. HP Feline . On the phone to the other owners with the holds to see if one of them needs food but maybe later in the week ( they were willing to special order for Monday for the Customer if needed ) . Martina gets ahold of the second owners hold and HOOORAY they purchased a bag at another location in Calgary . I GOT MY FOOD RIGHt THEN THERE. I have NEVER had service like that EVER in pet health care. THIS IS WHERE you take your business for pet health. The best Vets , Techs and all round BEST SERVICE for health , food and your animal needs. LADIES , I THANK YOU !!!!

The clinic had very good protocol during Covid19. I stayed in my car while they took my dog into the clinic for his yearly checkup. The vet then phoned me in my car to discuss her findings during the checkup - she was very thorough and took her time to ask me questions about his care and give me her assessment from the examination.

We brought our adopted cat, Spooky, to the clinic for the first time last week. She'd been having trouble with her teeth for years and we knew she had to get her teeth out. (We've only had her for a year, but have known her for longer.) The vet was very understanding of our situation and was able to get Spooky in for surgery the next day! I'd always been nervous about getting teeth removed because one of my other cats had died after the procedure at another clinic years ago. Our Spooky came home from the surgery and was full of energy; so happy to be out of pain! The staff even checked her tattoo to find out how old she is because we did not know her age at all. Everyone at the clinic was so friendly and accommodating to our needs. Spooky is getting along with the other cats now, and they are finally accepting her because she is not sick and infected anymore. Thank you, everyone at Airdrie Animal Health Centre for giving Spooky her life back after a lifetime (7 years) of pain!

I take both my dog and cat here and Airdrie Animal Health is amazing! The staff are always SO kind, in person and over the phone while booking. They do an amazing job to work around your schedule and are always right on time for the appointment. I have seen several different vets there and have had such a wonderful and professional experience every time, and they really take care of my nervous animals which sometimes do not make it easy for them! Also, their COVID measures they are taking to keep everyone safe are really great!

We recently had to put our dog down and Dr. McKinney was very compassionate, although the process was an hour long and more difficult than anticipated because the medication was not working. Once we laid her down things progressed. I feel like this is something she knew, but perhaps wanted me to be able to hold her as she passed and was trying to balance what I wanted with what would work. Sometimes things don't go as planned, but she was compassionate. On my last visit the gentleman who picks up the passed away animals left his back of his van open for 15 minutes...I noticed because I walked by to get to our appointment and had to see white bags with corpses and body tags. If he was running behind or back and forth he should have those doors closed. It was quite upsetting to me. I do have to say that although the receptionists are lovely, there have been a couple occasions where one receptionist swore (the f word) in front of me, and spoke so loudly that it was a bit off-putting for a professional practice. It's not a big deal, just a minor change that could elevate their professionalism just a tiny bit. I hate to be critical because at the end of the day the care at this clinic is excellent!

I emailed you asking about a qoute for a neutering and my husband called in and found out the pricing. 305.00 for just the surgery, fluids that should be mandatory are extra!?! Not bringing my Pack where you need to pay extra for something that should be part of the surgery process. Animals get dehydrated when under just like us and we get IV fluids with our surgeries that we have to go under for. I am not in to the money grabbing, taking my bisbusin else where.

I was out of town and my neighbour took my cat to this clinic, they didn’t tell me what was wrong with her. They told me that I needed to get her to McKnight Emergency as soon as possible, so my sister in law got everything in order to go get my cat. They wanted her to get a kennel and heat packs before coming. In that time, they called me every 10-15 minutes harassing me to come get my cat. They told me it was going to be $208. Then they called me back and said that now because they had to wait it was going to be $400. My cat died 5 minutes after being taken from that vet. They refused to help her in any way, they just wanted her out of their clinic and for her to be someone else’s problem. They even called me THE DAY AFTER my cat died to tell me I still owe them $192, again, AFTER they quoted me $208. The receptionist is SUPER rude and they are now telling me that they’re sending my bill to collections EVEN AFTER I paid what they told me the cost was going to be. I will NEVER be going back to this clinic. They have NO SYMPATHY for others or their animals.

On January 14, our cat suffered an unknown medical emergency that left her paralyzed and in extreme pain. We rushed her to a different vet in Airdrie, who did not offer much advice or comfort. The vet did not even touch our cat to try to do an exam. We asked the vet to prescribe pain meds for her while we researched a different vet to get a better opinion on what we should do. The next morning we attended Airdrie Animal Health Centre and we are very glad we did. We did not have an appointment and walked in scared and lost and just wanted to help out girl. From the moment we walked in, the girls at the front were amazing. They assisted us in getting us into a room and got the vet in to see us right away. We felt lucky to have Dr. Jeremy Mount assist us that day. Dr. Mount did everything he could and gave us every option we had. We sadly not get to bring our girl home that day. The comfort this clinic provided us from the moment we stepped in was a little bit of comfort in an absolutely horrible day. Thank you, Airdrie Animal Health Centre team.

I cannot say enough good things about Airdrie Animal Health Centre. I began taking my dog there because he is EXTREMELY anxious at the vet. My previous vet was very personable, I liked her, but the appointments always seemed a rushed, and because my dog is so anxious, we often left without a full exam due to him thrashing, whining, etc. I heard about fear-free clinics online and found Airdrie Animal Health Centre through a google search and I am so so glad that I did. Dr. Ware is so patient and kind. Although my dog is still incredibly anxious (and I am sure a bit of a pain), I never feel rushed. Dr. Ware and her team take the time to answer all of my (many) questions, and are very gentle and patient with my dog. I definitely recommend if you have an anxious fur baby at home.

My cat became diabetic several years ago. Dr. Jeremy did his best to help me keep him alive for the extra years. He really cared about his quality of life. It finally came time to put him down. I couldn’t ask for more compassionate people to help me with the task. Between Dr. Jeremy and Chelsea they were so compassionate. I am just glad they were there. My dog passed away at home unexpectedly last week and left me not knowing what to do on top of being an emotional disaster. A friend of mine called around a few places to see what my options were and I decided to have her cremated and get back her ashes. After a few phones calls I chose this place because they stated that they didn't send out animals to be cremated by a third party but instead did it themselves. This was important to me because I just don't trust a third party company doing the cremation with God knows how many other pets. The staff here are beyond friendly and I think did the best job they could considering the circumstances and the fact that losing a pet is never easy for anyone. It did take about a week to get her back and they left the ashes outside in a pickup container which is to be expected during Covid times. So all in all , in terms of the staff and going through the experience they were great and I would highly recommend. My issue after going through this is the absolutely astounding cost to have a pet cremated. When they told me the price my jaw actually dropped. And this isn't something im putting on the staff at the clinic as they don't control the prices, and all vets we called were about the same price give or take 10 bucks ( we contacted 3 ). I am beyond disgusted, angry and disappointed that Veterinarians are charging people insane amounts during one of their most difficult times in life as a pet owner. I was expecting about a hundred bucks but instead had to pay $350 dollars. I was then asked if I wanted a ceramic paw print done before she was cremated and the cost of that was $110 on top of the $350!!!! $110 dollars for something that cost a few bucks for the ceramic. I couldn't believe it. She then told me that the cremation included a paw print done with ink however I never received this with the ashes so I was pretty sad about that. If you factor in these costs on top of someone having to have their dog euthanized your easily getting over $500. It's unreasonable and taking advantage of people knowing our options are very limited so shame on Veterinarians and I really wish prices would be looked at or regulated in someway by the government or someone who has our best interest at heart not just Vets.

Miscommunication, not transparent with information regarding pet. Had a discussion about a certain medication for my pet. On Wednesday it was "absolutely mandatory" then on Thursday it was "optional" ... Where is the knowledge in that?

Dr Kim was so amazing when we had our dog Maggie, and they been so amazing everytimes I’ve brought my kitty Sophia in. Since the purchase of my new puppy Delilah who’s had nothing but issues, Dr. Laura has spent so much time making sure she is doing okay, and finding the best route possible to help my baby even though as a right now it’s still an ongoing process. This is a fantastic clinic. Very covid aware and the vets are understanding and didn't shame me for my chubby pug cross that my toddler sneaks snacks to. He's on weight management food and they call to follow up after his appointments.

The vet we usually see at Airdrie Animal Health is Dr. Mount. He is knowledgeable and patient with both of our pets (2 cats) and our kids who often come to appointments and have questions. We receive reminders to update vaccines and deworming and appreciate advice when traveling with our pets. We also appreciate being given options and being informed about which vaccines are a must and which are a choice or dependent on our pets' interaction with other animals. Caring for a pet can be expensive and helping us make informed decisions about their care is helpful. The front staff know us and our pets, it is easy to order and pick up our pet food and reminder phone calls from the office about orders or appointments help us stay organized while keeping our cats fit and healthy. Thank you Airdrie Animal Health, we have been visiting the clinic for 7 years and will continue!

I cannot say enough good things about this vet clinic. We recently brought a baby husky lab into our family and she has received her first two vaccinations here. Dr. Jeremy made me feel like I had the most amazing dog in the world and it really made me smile and I knew she was in good hands. Update: I contacted this vet clinic on two occasions as they requested in this thread. My calls were not returned. I have since changed vets for all three of my pets and now go to City Center Vet clinic (by Costa Vita in the Safeway strip mall) which offers greatly better service and also better rates. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, PAID $340 AND HAVE EXPIRED MEDS TO SHOW FOR IT, NO RESOLUTION. I have had two issues with this vet clinic and both went UNresolved even though I tried both times.. The first one was I took my cats in. I paid for immunizations but as one of my cats was not feeling well they said to pop in with him next week and they would administer his and that he would not change me for a second visit if I paid for the injections during the first visit. When I took him back for the shots, which took literally two minutes (no exam), on the way out they tried to charge me for a second exam. When I explained that the male vet had told us we would not have to pay again, they went in the back and returned and said he had no recollection of our conversation where he said I would not have to pay. My husband was with me at both visits and he interjected saying he had also heard that there would be no change. This resulted in an argument and continued to escalate with them saying I had to pay 50% of the fee for a second visit. I probably should have changed vets at this stage. Then... The most recent incident is regarding my dogs revolution prescription. She receives it every 30 days I buy 12 months at a time so that I know when I need to buy more at her yearly check up In the past they tend to run out of pet food and prescription medications and have not had it in stock (making me pay in advance by credit card and requiring that I’ve had to come back). It also appears that these purchases were not recorded properly in their system which resulted in me having an extra 12 doses ($340) of revolution - two extra containers of six month supplies that I had been charged for. When I realized this, 75% of it was expired. I also then noticed that the current prescription she was on was to expire three months before the last dose was to be taken and before I could use it. I went into the vet clinic with the medication and they did not have a record of the additional purchases they had sold me. She went to the back and returned with a vet (didn’t recognize her) and she said she needed the past boxes to figure out what had happened because they would have unique numbers in the boxes. When I informed her I happened to have an empty box still at home with the EXACT SAME NUMBERS, she shook her head no. I insisted and said I would go home snd get the box. I agreed to go home and returned with the original other box which I just happened to still have When I got back with the box (10-15 minutes later) the vet would not see me. The receptionist took pictures on the boxes and said there was nothing that they could do for me even though I had paid an extra $340 for useless (expired) medicine. They suggested I could discuss it with another person possibly that would maybe be in the office next week ..IF I wrote a letter, and they gave me a business card. By then I had spent so much time and energy and was completely frustrated again. My concerns were not addressed and they did nothing to give me fresh medicine even though I pointed out the last batch they sold me would not have lasted until the last dose and was still current. The receptionists kept just saying “we’re only receptionists” and “we can’t do anything”. One of the three receptionists was very kind and understanding and told me there had been a note put my file before and said it also said I “demanded” things. I don’t know when it was put in there and she wouldn’t read me the exact words.

5 stars is not a high enough rating. My dog can be fearful of strangers and she enjoys coming here (as much as a dog can enjoy the vet.) Other vets in Calgary tend to see patients as a dollar sign, but I have never felt that way coming here. They go above and beyond to explain everything in great detail, as well as make sure I understand. The front staff have gone out of their way to give me updates and help ease any anxiety I have when waiting for results. I have recommended AAHC to so many people and have heard amazing feedback. All the vets here are amazing, but Cici has taken a great liking to Dr.Mount, she is super excited to see him and give him all the kisses. I will continue to make the drive from Calgary to Airdrie with no hesitation, it’s worth it knowing my dog is in good hands.

I needed to get my girl in for a dental assessment and my sister recommended Airdrie Animal Health Centre as she has been very happy with their service. I explained that my girl is fearful of people and reactive towards other dogs and they didn’t just brush it off! I had read on their website that they had some vets that were fear free certified which meant a lot to me, and when they took my concerns of reactivity seriously, I was relieved! My hubby took her to her appointment and told me how pleased he was with the experience. The vet took the time to get her comfortable rather than just rushing in and getting the exam done. So far, I’m incredibly impressed with the level of service and overall understanding of my concerns. We will be switching vets for sure!

My dog has bad food allergies to poultry so I have to order a special hills brand food of salmon and potatoe. They did not have the food in stock so ordered it for me. I paid for the food and picked it up 2 days later at the door. My bad I never checked the bag closely as it looked like the food I usually order. My dog got ear infections, eye infections and skin infections. Called to get my dog in and as usual they could not get me in so I went else where for treatment. AAHC would not do anything at all to help with their error. The food they gave me was duck. I would never order duck. They were extremely rude to me as well.

My son was with me, and even though he asked a million questions, the staff took time to answer him and make him feel included in the vet visit. this vet clinic in my humble opinion is the best of the rest ,when you go there with your animal you are looked at as a person not a $ sign,you are greeted by smiles and sometimes owners come in and are very upset about the situation, but staff there is always comforting and letting you know everything is being done that needs to be done .I have been in that position a few times and they have always put my mind at ease .The vets are tremendous , willing to go to great lengths to help you and your fur baby , my little guy has had numerous surgeries there, and was very well looked after,I don't think their prices are unreasonable , and they also give a seniors discount. Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's quality care They are quite unwilling or unable to give approximate cost quotes over the phone. She tried to tell me there were too many variables to get me to come in for a consult, after a bit of fussing she quoted me $700+ and up which is a full 3rd more then some of the other vet clinics in town without even trying to find the actual cost because she did not give a break down of approximate individual expenses which I know could have been done if she would have cared enough to actually try. These people don't want to help you or love your animal, they want to take as much of your money as possible. I would not trust this clinic with my animals or to not be over charged. The receptionist took a tone with me and didn't seem to have much empathy they didn't even ask his age or about his wellfare. I am very disappointed.

I have come from Calgary to the clinic for years with my pets. I have many options here in town but always appreciated the care I received for my pets at this clinic until today. I will not return. I called yesterday afternoon at 3:20 and was advised by an answering Machine that the clinic was closed. So this morning I called and the receptionist said they had an appointment at 4:15 today. I told her I needed my dog Puddles seen as it appeared he had an ear infection. About 5 minutes later I received a call from the receptionist saying that she had incorrectly given me a time that was open yesterday but not today but she had 2 openings today one at 2:00 and the other at 3:45. I arrived at 3:35 today and I was told that they were running 15 minutes behind and they didn’t think the doctor had time to see Puddles. I was shocked and said “No he will be seen today, I have an appointment and I have just driven from Calgary!” Someone else said she would check with the doctor and came back and said I had 2 options. I could leave my dog and the doctor would see him and I could pick him up later or I could reschedule for another day. I responded again that I live in Calgary so that would not work and I did have another option. I would be finding another clinic and she could also delete my other dog Benji from their books. How she had made the 1st mistake telling me I about the 4:00 appointment yesterday when I called at 3:30 and the clinic was closed and then calling me back with the choice of 2 different times. I took one of the times and then was told that I could not be seen. I was not coming in for a check up or shots I was actually there for a problem my poor dog is having. And I was sent away as though I meant nothing to their business. I want a place where the care will be above what this clinic is obviously unable to provide so for that reason I will find a clinic where animals are important and service is what I expect no matter where I go. I would have waited 15 minutes if they were behind. I in no way see how I was at all at fault for their situation. I was on time and then some. I wasted gas, travel time, and have to make my dog wait to be seen at another clinic because it was too late at that time to make an appointment for today. I have used your clinic after hearing about it be word of mouth infortunately what people hear from me will be the story I have just told.

A couple of weeks ago, we had to bring our cat in to be euthanized. Everyone who we came into contact with was extremely respectful and kind to us. The private room we went into was comfortable and didn’t feel “medical” at all. The vet, Dr. Peyton Ware I believe, was great to myself, my mom and my cat. She let me look at my cat’s x-rays, watch my cat get her catheter, and even let me carry my cat out of the room after my cat had been euthanized. We were offered water and Kleenex. It was a sad situation, but everyone at the clinic was very compassionate. Also, my mom appreciated that Martina Bailey hugged her. It is a good place to go, especially if you need to euthanize your pet.

Highly unethical. I booked my dog in for a rabies shot and was charged for a full check up even though she’d just had a full check up seven months previously. I was told first that they only do annual check ups. Then I was informed that she was due for her annual shots still in five months and that I’d be charged for a full check up again when I brought her back. Which obviously I won’t be doing because I intend to find a more professional veterinary practice to deal with. Apparently every time you bring in a pet for whatever reason you’ll be charged for a full check up and I’m told this is how they all do it. So not true.

Every single time I go here (with or without an appointment) I and both my doggos are greeted in a super friendly and professional front desk staff. One of my pups is usually wary of new people but she loves loves loves the staff here. All of the doctors try and make the pups as at ease as they can which to me is one of the most important things I love about this practice aside from the phenomenal treatment my dogs get. The staff here clearly love animals and it shows. The prices are quite reasonable and they do not push treatments. They have always walked me through in layman's terms about what's happening without ever making me feel stupid.

The animal care and support that have been received for our beloved cat Poncho and our two beloved dogs Zana and Shelby over all the years of their lives was wonderful. The emotional support received thru the good times and bad was phenomenal. I can’t say enough great things about the staff of the clinic from the client care specialists at the reception desk, to the amazing office manager Shelly, to the vet techs behind the screens and to Dr Laura McKenny. Thank you to all of them for what they do and their compassion and care they give animals!!! We currently have a dog that is 1.5 yrs and a new 8 week old puppy that visit the clinic for all their health and wellness needs. Need veterinary care? This is the clinic!

This has to be the best vet clinic in Alberta. The staff are so nice and take the time to discuss your visit. They really seem to care about your feelings and your pet. They don't try and take all your money they inform you on what you need and what you can hold off on. My veterinarian assessed my dog outside on a cold day, what more could a pet owner ask for.

Over the last four and a half years, we’ve seen pretty much every vet at the clinic at least once with our dog and cat because our schedule is often very limited when making appointments. Even though our personal favourite is Dr. Mount, our primary vet, they’re all amazing! We’ve gone there for everything from routine annual exams to emergency illness. All of the staff are wonderful with our animals. Highly recommend this clinic to everyone with pets in Airdrie :)

I have been a good client of this practice for a few years but find lately that the front end staff has very poor customer service. Not for the first time I was on hold for more than 14 minutes today. When someone finally took the call I told them I needed to make an appointment for my pet who has developed an infection. Can't get in for 2 days. I guess the fact that she is suffering is lost on them.

With Covid restrictions in place and not being able to speak face to face with the Vet at a visit they have done amazingly well in alleviating clients fears. Having just moved back to Airdrie and Dr McKinney having left, I did not know any of the new Vets. When I had to take my cat in for a potentially serious issue, the Vet I spoke with on the phone was able to cover all my concerns just as if we had been in the same room. All the Staff were helpful, patient and kind. This made a nerve racking visit much easier on myself and Charlie both. Well done.

I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr Cristani. She is very caring and when my pets come in to see her she is very thorough and goes above and beyond to help my all boys. Her staff as far as I am concerned are second to none. I go there quite a bit to see them, between appointments and picking up food, and they are always courteous and very helpful.
