They are good if only if you don't need chronic mental healthcare

By far the worst counsellors I have encountered in my life. One after the other - careless, callous, uninterested. Do they not get paid well? One counsellor whom I never met canceled on me 3 times in a row for personal matters (so unprofessional) I went 2 months without seeing anyone. The only quality counsellor was in training and she left after her training finished. Literally anywhere else is better - see if you can use your student benefits outside of UW.

I liked my counselor and she was able to help me manage my chronic anxiety and depression, but simply did not compare to the therapist I had at home. It was more listening and advice on how to keep going (which is very useful) than it was genuine strategy to get and stay better while at university. Will keep going, but I miss my old therapist.
