This University is included in the category of University.
I am an alum of the University of Guelph. My wife also went there as well as my best friend. In addition, my daughter goes there. I have to say I have a very positive view of the university! I also work there for many years and enjoyed my time and my colleagues!
Bad
Great learning atmosphere and friendly team.
It's bad
This is a great University. It is big enough, but feels personal. The professors here (especially in the Classics department) are second to none. Brass Taps (on campus pub) always has something fun going on.
Beautiful
(Translated) Take me soon, take it for a hundred more ... ahem. Can I get you? (Original) Забирай меня скорей, увози за сто мор...кхм. Можно к вам?
Lots of Pokéstops. 10/10 would visit again.
Very nice campus!
This campus is very well-integrated in the community and as a simple visitor I had a great time in the area (which is surprising because everything else in the area was not so great). The students seem friendly and the campus is bigger than I thought.
Just wear a mask.
One of the best schools in Canada and also one of the best employers. Great highly professional staff. Pleasure to deal with.
l'm a recent applicant. The admission team clearly hate their job and don't want to help the students. People at call center transferred my call multiple times for no reason, wasted my time, and didn't end up answering my questions. The admission team also didn't reply to my emails during quarantine. Luckily I got accepted by a higher ranked school and will never need to deal with these losers again.
Great university!
Nice University ☺️☺️???????????????? The food at UoG is the best ✔️✔️✔️✔️❤️❤️❤️
The new food prices in the university centre are a complete scam and shows how little the university really cares about their students. Hospitality services now sells all foods based on weight according to the price of the most expensive item at each place. Because of this, food prices are extremely high, to the point where it's literally unaffordable. Paying $19 for a plate of rice and butter chicken which used to cost $9 is insane. The university should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these changes and burdening struggling students even more. The university is taking advantage of students and its unfortunate.
Vaccine clinic, visited with wife. Very fast, in and out in 30 minutes
Been to a few different post secondary institutes and by far this is probably the easiest one to learn the lay of the land. Professors are interested in sing you successes where others they don't care as much. The Turf (DTM) program is consider by industry leaders to be the top for Canada and is second to Penn State world wide.
Great
Very welcoming people, love this place.
A great place to go whether it's for an education or for something to do.
Really nice campus with a fantastic mix of architecture.
The professor's generally care about you passing and the always make time to meet with you when you need help. I definitely recommend this university
Beautiful campus, nice, friendly students & professors. I wonderful place to attend for post secondary education. I will truly forever be a Gryphon.
A COVID 19 review : campus is shut down and nearly deserted since mid-March. Only a few people wandering around. No facilities open to the public.
Great school, attended 30 years ago for horticultural. Beautiful spot to visit
Big campus. Residence on site. Multiple parking lots. Helps to look up the campus map to know directly where to go. LRC building by the bus terminal is the main entrance.
I'm a student here, its great
It's a good school. Beautiful campus in a nice city. The classes are rewarding.
My lovers are here
I had some friends who came here and they didn't like it because teachers are strict they shout and give you addtuide when you don't do things properly I'm not going to come here for sure I find some place else
Great location as Guelph is one of the safest, cleanest and developing cities across the nation. Students receive exceptional help and assistance through many network that were designed to remove many potential obstacles that may face students. There's a lot great places around the university to relax and enjoy your moment in preparing for your next school challenging project. Guelph U is consistently topped as the most research intensive, and comprehensive school in across Canada , and accredited to the great teaching staff. The university is environmentally-friendly in all of its aspects, and there's actually an arboretum right off campus, and students can go and hug trees. Another great thing about UofG is food. If you only eat Halal, Vegetables, gluten-free, or if you're Vegan, it's all at your hand and prices are affordable. There's a room for improvement. Fees are high, and it takes a long time to receive funds, like equipment fund. Changes don't get communicated well and fast enough (examples between Accounting and Co-op), and scheduling classes can be an issue when some classes are taught out of expected areas (engineering classes out of the Engineering Bldg), and this can be a great challenge when it's cold.
Professors do not care about the student in my opinion and administrative help is not so much "help" as to tell you they cannot help you with questions regarding schedules or financial aid. Does not feel welcoming either. The interior is cozy with a unique backsplash.
Great people, excellent facilities, awesome place for learning
The University of Guelph (U of G) is a comprehensive public research university in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1964 after the amalgamation of Ontario Agricultural College, the MacDonald Institute, and the Ontario Veterinary College, and has since grown to an institution of more than 32,000 students (including those at the Humber campus, off-campus degree enrollments, diploma enrollments and part-time students) and over 1,500 faculty (academic staff) as of fall 2015.
My home away from home. I love the entire UofG experience! I have many, many fond memories of the campus and spent my formative years there. The campus is smaller than most universities, but within that size beats a superior education and lifestyle environment.
Beautiful
This is where I study. And honestly so happy I chose it. Amazing people and atmosohere. Beautiful campus along with great food!!!!
Very good
Great reputation, the grounds are gorgeous!
WORST UNIVERSITY IN ONTARIO.DON'T GO.IT'S A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.STAY AWAY.GRADS DON'T GET JOBS.
If I could I would give the program a 3.5 and the college itself is a 4. Graduated back in 2015 from the Interior Decorating Diploma Program. They decided to add more useful courses once I graduated which made the the program length go from two years to three years. That extra year would've been very useful for me and my classmates. I'm not sure how things are right now but back when I was going there they only had one drawing class throughout the four semesters. I found that very odd since we would be drawing for our clients in the future. They really needed to add classes that would focus on fabrics and materials. All we really focused on was AutoCAD. Now don't get me wrong it's extremely useful to have such a skill but as a decorator I needed to be taught more in the products that I'd be dealing with for most of the day. They should have more than two business courses. This industry is all about the clients. If you can't sell yourself properly and build a brand there is no room for you in this industry. Jo Alcorn was the right person to teach the business courses. I would loved to have these courses from the very first semester because this is, if not the most important skills that we could have coming out of this program. Instead of having all those Town Hall courses we should've had more business courses. The college itself is fine. Clean. Huge line ups at Timmies. There is a great selection of gluten-free, organic, etc. foods at the other shops. Book store is expensive (what post-secondary book store isn't?). I would recommend to buy all your books online or used ones. Been to the gym a couple times during breaks and it's pretty clean. College is great but the program needed improvement.
The University of Cambridge (formally The Chancellor, Masters, and Scholars of the University of Cambridge) is a collegiatepublic research university in Cambridge, England. Founded in 1209 and granted a Royal Charter by King Henry III in 1231, Cambridge is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's fourth-oldest surviving university. The university grew out of an association of scholars who left the University of Oxford after a dispute with the townspeople. The two medieval universities share many common features and are often referred to jointly as "Oxbridge". The history and influence of the University of Cambridge has made it one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Cambridge is formed from a variety of institutions which include 31 constituent Colleges and over 100 academic departments organised into six schools. Cambridge University Press, a department of the university, is the world's oldest publishing house and the second-largest university press in the world. The university also operates eight cultural and scientific museums, including the Fitzwilliam Museum, as well as a botanic garden. Cambridge's libraries hold a total of around 15 million books, eight million of which are in Cambridge University Library, a legal deposit library. In the fiscal year ending 31 July 2017, the university had a total income of £1.71 billion, of which £458 million was from research grants and contracts. The central university and colleges have a combined endowment of around £4.9 billion, the second largest of any university in the UK. The university is closely linked with the development of the high-tech business cluster known as "Silicon Fen". It is a member of numerous associations and forms part of the "golden triangle" of leading English universities and Cambridge University Health Partners, an academic health science centre. History of CAMBRIDGE By the late 12th century, the Cambridge region already had a scholarly and ecclesiastical reputation, due to monks from the nearby bishopric church of Ely. However, it was an incident at Oxford which is most likely to have formed the establishment of the university: two Oxford scholars were hanged by the town authorities for the death of a woman, without consulting the ecclesiastical authorities, who would normally take precedence (and pardon the scholars) in such a case, but were at that time in conflict with King John. The University of Oxford went into suspension in protest, and most scholars moved to cities such as Paris, Reading, and Cambridge. After the University of Oxford reformed several years later, enough scholars remained in Cambridge to form the nucleus of the new university. In order to claim precedence, it is common for Cambridge to trace its founding to the 1231 charter from King Henry III granting it the right to discipline its own members (ius non-trahi extra) and an exemption from some taxes (Oxford would not receive a similar enhancement until 1248)
Nice place to walk around
One of Canada's top Universities. Not just a Vet/Ag school. Highly recommend this as a spot for higher education.
Great school!
Great Photography day. We were on the Plus side so holding the camera was easy. The University of Guelph is a Beautiful place for Landscape Photography. The Guelph Art Gallery sits at Gordon and College makes a great background in the Sculpture Garden. The Aboretum has beautiful trails. Best time is clear skies and plus 4.
This school has awesome engineering faculty and amazing student life/atmosphere. I loved my time at UoG and recommend it to everyone.
The campus is amazing. The staff is amazing. The student services are amazing. The studies are amazing. 5/5
Three hots and a cot. Literally no different than prison. Sketchy roommate, overpriced canteen and no privacy in the washroom. I’ve had a better nights sleep in the drunk tank.
Loved the campus! Spacious and uncrowded, perhaps because of the current time, but still worth visiting!
Awesome
Love this place
I had an amazing time going to school here. The University ranks at the top of the nation in student satisfaction for a reason. Great city, beautiful campus, friendly staff and students, and the faculty genuinely wants you to do well (most of the time). You should go here!
Good place to study.. WHEN ITS OPEN ???? PANDEMIC KILLS MINDS
.
There's no straws :/
Clean and beautiful , oh there are no students right now. LOL. Construction projects going on again. Making U of G Even better.
I am not a U of G student but I would say U of G is probably the best university in Canada in terms of approchability, efficiency and reliability (learnt from experience in contacting and seeking quick response from universities). The people in Guelph are super friendly and you can really ease your stress when walking around the campus (there are trees and plants everywhere!!). Staffs at U of G especially the admission department really do a great job of providing assistance to students!
Heritage place ! Great vicinity and Nice surrounding. The place is really huge and lots and lots of facilities are available. Specially all the Intercity as well as the Public transport are available. Easily guided and all the departments can be navigated easily. Much Informative place. Education wise University has lot many courses to offer and program. Each programs has many streams and good teaching staff. The best is the Program for Humanity Sciences .
Great education, vibrant environment
A beautiful campus.
Not a fan.
Very beautiful
I currently just finishing up my BBA in business from Guelph-Humber and thought i would leave a review and thoughts for those deciding where to go: Guelph Humber is a small school (a bigger high school of 4500 students total in a sense). This is great since you will make friends in your classes as you have multiple of the same classes. People were friendly and easy to get along with. The only issue is that it is a commuter school and not much to do in the area hence most people go to class and go home after. Administration was not the most helpful imo, although it depends who you got some were super helpful and others not so much. (Like any school) The program was good but in my opinion it would be nice if there were more areas of emphasis that related to some courses. For example there was a data analytics class that I enjoyed but no more classes or area of emphasis for data analytics. Hence I'm applying to college certificate programs for that program. Most professors are nice, approachable and you'll have the same professors in multiple classes and they get to know you by name. It's nice having a friendly face on campus to talk to when you bump into them in the hallway. But the school does rely heavily on sessional instructors meaning their are a few (not many) professors who may take awhile to get marks back or reply to emails since teaching is a priority just not their top priority. The 100 hour co-op program is awesome to get experience but the school is small so there is not as many connections to industries as the bigger schools. Most (70%) of the internships are unpaid on the schools job board (although I imagine most schools co-ops are unpaid). Some students just ended up doing data entry or administrative services for free. While it is experience it may not be the most valuable experience imo. Although any experience is good experience. Overall I did enjoy my time at GH and glad that I went. Feel free to DM me any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. This is just my experience and opinion of GH and only for the business program
Great school, great programs.
Full of mcsqeemagons
Nice place
Going into my third year while writing this, no complaints, amazing university.
Incredibly beautiful grounds! The Arboretum is a treasure.
The place is nice, but you'd expect that from any university
Ignorant and hostile environment for part-time profs. While being there for 4 years, no one has ever asked if I needed any help, advice. Students' critics and complaint were permanently swept under the rug. Very disappointing.
Love the school (ahem, prolly b/c I am an alumni) and years later the place still has that "feeling" of excitement and boundless opportunities! The Brass Taps is open during Reading Week, as is the Bullring...both attended very lightly, so plenty of available tables for a casual and relaxing time!
Worst. School. Ever. I was in a major accident that put me in a wheelchair. The lack of mental health support, general support, and academic support astounded me. My profs have been mediocre. When I communicated to the school I was now in a wheelchair, they told me I should DROP OUT of my program!!!! This school's lack of accessibility is ridiculous! There are like 3 buildings that are easy to get into, the rest are awful. Student health services has been majorly disappointing. The mental health support is next to nothing, GPs are good but getting in to see them is awful. Support after sexual assualt is really frustrating and humiliating. Overall, this school has really disappointed me and has resulted in me switching schools in September.
good university school
Absolutely great place to enjoy the nature in Guelph.
GREAT SCHOOL!
Solid
I love this school
I think the University has done a great job in having robust resources for mental health. So I will give them 5 stars for that however, the Computer science faculty has been very unhelpful and disorganized throughout my major though some professors are an exception . Computing is a very difficult major to pursue, therefore the lack of TA availability and help from professors did not match my needs as I struggled with a disability. Thus forcing me to switch from honours to just the general degree. There's mostly opportunities for "competent" students, but little to no opportunity for enthusiastic yet struggling students to excel - when spoken to the program counselor about my struggles, his response 90% of the times would be to "drop the major". SOCS needs re-structuring and a better faculty.
Great school especially for those looking into advancing their careers easily without having to go through the pain of universities. GH is easier and more career focussed with a variety of programs!
Did 5 years Economics. Prof Adomait is awesome.
Went to the bookstore/gift shop, very nice, organized, staff is very helpful and friendly. They have good Covid protocols as well which includes a sign in upon entering for contact tracing.
I love this place, its beautiful, rich for a uni its size and has amazing professors, amazing 5/5!
Great building
great nutrition program
Great place. I have taken a few open learning classes here. Professors and instructors are knowledgeable, professional, and willing to help. Excellent location as well.
mental health issues abound with little help from the university
i would smash the girl infront of you right now
Wow, the big city
Visited my brother-in-law who was doing his Masters in Economics here. Overall nice campus, good support for the International students and overall ambiance is also cool.
UofG is always great. My heart breaks for the kids that are missing out on the best times of their life.
Go Gryphs. Especially the class of 2000!
Love this campus friendly clean and forward thinking I definitely suggest checking out Bob's dogs
Enjoyed my time studying at the University of Guelph. Great staff, responsive tech support, and excellent courses.
This is a great university! The campus is beautiful with lots of student engagement throughout the year, the people are motivated and friendly, the faculty is engaged and supportive, and my studies definitely helped start my career. Loved my time in Guelph and this place was a big part of that experience. I would go back :D
good university no wired internet and no pets
I love the collaboration between Humber and Guelph Humber because it gave me an opportunity to use the bridge program to get into University and compared to other Universities a lot more affordable.
This is such a beautiful campus, so much history. I like coming to visit friends here.
I did not go there and no hotties ;)
Foolishness in not letting Dr. Byram Bridle in.
Due to Humber's strike, the UNIVERSITY of guelph humber had to go on strike as well. This is affecting our education and no one is doing anything about it. No one wants to lose a semester especially when they're technically not even in college. Might as well go to the actual university of Guelph
Looks very nice inside. I was the for the convocation 2018 in October.
This is not the location of the University
Great accomodations and student support.
You are basically a giant chump if you give these jabronis money to book learn a bunch of useless garbage. I went to a library and self learnt more than this so called school could ever offer. this school is nothing but disgusting liberal swine-talkery. Guelph is truly a demented cesspool of greed and dik ticklery. I learned more in a back alley knife fighting a hobo than this place would ever book learn me. Also I signed up for jiu jitsu, way more valuable than these dirty scum sucking greedy rump clowns have. Peace brotendo.
Number 1 rated university in all of Guelph...
failed
Walked around in a sunny autumn day, very nice!
I am posting this as a parent. Due to pandemic most students given online classes. It is very much appreciated. However they missed most lab sessions those are critical for their future jobs. Current students are graduating without necessary lab experience, specially in chemistry, physics and bio science. University is now functional after the pandemic. It is a good news. Bad news is they are not providing missing lab sessions. University has already taken tution fees for the lab sessions. Therefore, I am very dissapointed. Please provide make-up lab sessions to complete their degree properly. Students too should request them from University authorities. University has an obligation to find timeslots to provide those missed lab sessions to their students. Thank you.
Nice campus, went for a concert. I'm sort of bias because it was my favourite band!
Brad Gutscher is the reason this school sucks
Always on the forefront of innovation and continuously meets the growing needs of students on an interpersonal level. - A graduating Marketing Management student
Went for my Physiotherapy, no stress plenty of parking spot.
Playing hockey needed spare goalie I was available. Great ice condition
University of Guelph supports local sports in the community and has stepped up as a major sponsor.
Solid school.

Do you know how insulting it is to drive 2 hours to class then have to walk another 25 minutes because you can't provide adequate parking.
some great learning opportunities, mixing college and uni is great, but many professors need to learn organization and the program designers should reconsider many useless classes and replace them with things that are actually being done in the industry
Great student environment !!
Nice uni. Not too big that walking around gets tiring.
I've been at Guelph for 7 years now, by the time I'm finished phD it could very well be 10. There are things i absolutely love about this school, and of course, thing i just can't stand lol. Like everything in life i suppose. Some of the highlights of this school are: Amazing food and seriously incredible hospitality staff. Nick has been the manager of the UC cafe for as long as I've ever been interested to know (which was before we had poutine and i inquired if it was possible to go to one spot -pizza pizza for fries, and then take it to the grill place-mommas? for cheese and gravy to be added.) He was totally cool with that, so he's basically my hero right there. He always responds so well to any of the Question/comments people leave (they get posted, and i just love reading them for some reason). There are a ton of animals at this school, which to me is just a game changer as i love animals of all kinds. like everyone has puppies they are training to be guide dogs, and the puppies get to go everywhere, so..yay. There are cows and horses and endless amounts of squirrels. Everything looks really old and cool. like all stone and brick everything. Of course that has some downfalls (like all the classes i had in war mem, that building is the pits for air and space. One time i had to race there for a calculus test being late from physics experiment and ran all the way there only to find it completely full except one seat. So i squeeze through to get to the seat- thank god I'm skinny, or i was 7 years ago anyways or else i dunno how it wouldve even been possible- so i go and sit down, and of course its broken and i just fall right on the ground. but what can u do, the test wasn't gunna write itself so i had to sit on the floor lol). another time i was feeling really sick and tried to leave but because of the poor design i was trapped in there and spewed everywhere). The new buildings like ROZ are very nice though. Internet access throughout the years has been...somewhat challenging to say the least. The first half of my academic career i had PC and for some reason they take more work to connect to wifi. Once i got on the macbook train i haven't had any problems. The professors for the most part are amazing. My most memorable being a physics teacher by the name Martin William. Oh man did he ever make us all laugh. I really hate physics, but did i EVER love going to his lectures. People are also very fond of another physics prof by the name "The Great Orbax", he is interesting because of his unusual style and he performs in a circus or something like that lol. Not really my type of humour i guess anyways. There is a ton of resources to help you on this campus. no matter what kind of help that may be. seriously. they have everything. I broke my arm biking around campus and i got to do my physic there which was very convenient. They have doctors you can schedule appointments with and a walk in, and they always help me out a ton. mental health support groups, every kind imaginable- same with clubs. Something for everyone. The only real downside i guess is the lack of organization in the financial aspect of the university, which doesn't even become a problem i suppose unless you're a grad student. I have just had endless problems with random penalties and such, i wont go into the painful boring details but yes i feel ripped off by them more often than not lets just say. Bikes get stolen a lot here so its important to lock up with a U lock on campus and not a cable. But for the most part people are very kind here, always helping each other out. However there is just too many. People that is. There's never any room on the buses (they will just pass u saying sorry bus full), there's never any room in 1st year lecture halls, theres noo parking even though you pay a huge fee for a pass every semester. Poster days in the UC are a complete nightmare. You cannot get through for the life of you, because everyones just staring at posters. Its very odd. The UC seems to sell out the space to the highest bidder lol.
Just completed my first year I am in the Psychology program and I love this university! Even though it is a small university I don't think it should be underestimated at all (: I would definitely recommend it, a very caring, enriching and great environment and amazing people!
Amazing university
Great food! Nice teachers and a beautiful campus. Wonderful school.
Beautiful and creative
Students and professors are welcoming and friendly. Courses are challenging but not over the top ridiculous, and everyone is interested in student success. The campus is beautiful and I'm looking forward to getting back to the classroom after covid. A wonderful place to learn.
Beautiful Campus!
Very nice organised place. Friendly staff.
I cannot speak for the learning itself but the campus is amazing! A really pretty place with so much to see and do!
I visited the University campus today, my daughter is starting her first year in the University. The campus location is not that far away from some retail stores, restaurants and coffee shops. The campus itself looks quite old but it’s well maintained. It’s clean and has enough space between hallways . The staff and the students are super friendly and welcoming. Parking lot is average sized and was okay today to accommodate all the students and parents cars. Moving in was easy. We only had a problem using the campus door access, but the admission team was quick to sort the problem. Washrooms are also clean and well maintained. I hope that the University team can keep the good work in keeping the campus building up to the level of the students expectations.
Great uni
Great university. It has figured out what its specialities are, and focuses on them rather than trying to be a full service operation .
Great campus! I was genuinely surprised by its size the first time I arrived. I highly recommend the Math Centre!
Scammed out of $1800. This school charged me for a full semester payment for courses I did not register for and denied two of my tuition appeals. I did not receive one email stating I was registered.
Great School Nuff said
Best Uni
Good
Overall an excellent academic experience on a beautiful campus.

great school, glad I went here
Professors really seem to care about your education and have mandatory office hours. The small atmosphere is really welcoming and there's tons of opportunities, including research positions. Programs are very specific though so you have to be sure you're dedicated to whatever it is you're choosing to study as there's not alot of choice. The only bad thing is lack of parking as there's never spots on campus past 10:30 am and off campus parking is sometimes full too, leaving you with no place to park.
Do not care about the students.Costly and you have to pay to much fees which is burden on the parents. Sheridan college is better than Humber college.
Best experience Guaranteed
Don’t come to this university!! This university doesn’t deserve even one star. The most racist university ever I regret every second of my 4 years being wasted here with no social life and for all the anxiety they created to me.
The profs are too far-Left leaning.. especially in the arts programs. This school is not inclusive of conservative free speech and thinking. You get a lower score on papers just because of your conservative views. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone.
Well organized for moving in 1st year students!!!
umm i know this school is in canada but whats the gpa requirement for this school and also sat scores. thank you
Just drove through some of the old neighborhood that is owned by the university. Campus seems as good as possible. Glad I'm not a student currently!

marvelous place
Thank you for supporting academic freedom and integrity, and open scientific debate! Proud parent of a UofG Graduate ????
Covid vacine clinic was very safe and professionally run.
Worst university ever they don't accept most students with good marks they just have some inner quota which they give admission to other students based on money. If they wanted to reject my application why did they tell me you send my scanned transcripts with university seal directly to Canada from India, wasting my money and energy.
I love my school, quality Education
Going to the university of Guelph has been the worst university experience of my life, the academic counselling is non-existant and the Studio Art program is a joke. I hate it here. Go literally anywhere else to study art.
Great University with very nice Campus and friendly atmosphere
I mean it's a good school but some of the profs lack the necessary abilities to be profs
Great food, top priority when choosing a university is food and guelph is the best ;D
Finding myself among students always gives me significant energy to learn any subject comes along specifically French Language, which is my most favorite and important subject I have in mind...! Hopefully someday I fully achieve speaking French ability in a successful manner. God help me!
Beautiful campus and the arboretum also has some beautiful paths to take walks on.
I have had a fantastic time at this University. The campus is beautiful, the people are kind, and the faculty is engaged and fair. All of my classes persisted to be interesting and informative, and my time spent here has, overall, been a benefit to me and my life.
Vaccinatio clinic was amazing. So well organized and efficient. Couldn't of been any easier.
the
Safe distance enforced
Covid19 vaccination clinic.......
Beautiful campus
i’m not impressed with the paper straws from the grill house, milkshake gets a 10 stars if i could rate it that, straws a -6, made me mad i was spitting out paper for 6 hours i had paper cuts on both lips and my tounge >:(
Very well organized and friendly.
Great university! Programs are very specific and everyone is really nice here. Although, they should create more clubs and campus jobs that will enhance student life here.
Yo I met some really amazing people here and had some great studies!!
If you want a real educational experience go to a different school. Scheduling, professors, financial aid is all a joke. No one responds to inquiries. Grades take forever to be posted because professors just don’t care. There is 1 professor teaching way too many courses for them to handle because they wont hire anymore. MY experience is specific to Kinesiology. I am in third year and repeating courses I did in college. Bridge students come out with well over 250 hours of on campus and off campus work placement experience while students that started Kin at GH come out with 77 hours. Makes sense right? But if you want a diploma and a degree in 4 years then come and be prepared for some frustration. Humber College blows GH out of the water. Go to Humber for a diploma and a different school for your degree.
(Translated) Ballin '. (Original) Ballin'.
we shouldn't just post negative things but that's hard when all seems to be. scheduling courses for next semester none of the courses required for my program are available in the morning , how is one suppose to pay for their education? if every course you need starts in the middle of the day , part-time work impossible that starts after 3 , dayshift no one will hire you because you need to leave at 12 noon... and the class is only offered once for the week... what is going on ... aren't the students the reason you need the professors ??? frustrated student :(
segregating students based on there health status , good job
Really nice people over here!
Beautiful university campus located next to Humber College, with easy access to public transit. The stunning four-story plant wall in the university's central atrium makes it a relaxing and excellent place to study!
Beautiful campus. All people and professors are polite and helpful. The best of uofg is the food ????
Guelph has a lot of friendly people The majority of student on campus are nice and chill My program, computer science is sub par tho. Curriculum is outdated and inflexible. admin and counsellors don't care about undergrad students. You can still succeed in the program and I met some pretty smart and kind people (students, professors) in my program but it's definitely not the best of all. Other than that Guelph seems to suffer the same problems that other Ontario universities have. Admin (the registrar not the one in my department) is VERY GOOD, I need to give them credit for that. Many students love food on campus. I find it average and overpriced except for the bar. I'd rather make my own meal or eat off campus. Never lived in dorm but I heard they never had soap in the bathrooms before covid.. Like really? Why would a school do such a thing that is unsanitary to the students, even without a pandemic? Edit: unfortunately I find many students here love virtue signaling social movements without engaging with civility or being able to come up with any feasible solution.. another star off ????
Would rate this place 10 starts if I could. I have attended multiple universities and this is by far my favourite in ALL aspects. Absolutely amazing and would recommend to anyone.
With a knowledgeable faculty, numerous resources meant to help students, and a student body that is genuinely caring and looking to work together, Guelph has been unarguably the best years of my life.
As a current student there, i love the campus, such a beautiful place to be during the academic year. a wide variety of courses, clubs, activities, etc, everyone is friendly. Guelph in general I like cuz its a medium sized city, not as crowded as Toronto and not too small either
Great place to care for our bunnies@@
Love Guelph! :) Just hope they don't cut too many programs in the coming years.
Nice and beautiful place. Awesome environment.
The University of Guelph is a top notch school with some of the most brilliant students & hardworking staff
U of G is going to destroy more of Guelph by throwing students into housing off campus. Keep the students on campus so the rest of the city can actually function properly. The old Holiday Inn is an extremely irresponsible location to put another residence building. Just look how the students treat the neighbourhoods in the area already! You're clearly growing outside of your means and it's going to completely ruin what's left of Guelph. (Just look at those hideous apartments on Gordon)
Best University!!
(Translated) Awesome ER Vet Hospital !! (Original) Awesome ER Vet Hospital!!
More needs to be done to accommodate students with disabilities. The university received widespread negative coverage from an incident in one of your classes where a disabled student was berated by a professor. This isn't at all uncommon. Step up and make the university truly accessible to every student as inaction carries liability.
Amazing and welcoming
I delivered a staff the receiver was amazing ????
Amazing university. The faculty of neuroscience is phenomenal.
Agriculture... What is better? Possibly nothing but the sun - the fuel for plants and life. Take it away and society is gone. Grass roots.
I have never loved going to a school more. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone considering the university.
If you graduated from Humber and want a degree as fast as possible then I highly recommend this place. But if you have time to spare then I really suggest going to another university for your degree.
Service a experience excellent
Excellent university Learning environment and good cooperative staff.
Greatest university
Awesome place to visit....
Have thoroughly enjoyed my past 5 years as a student at University of Guelph. The people are friendly, food is amazing, and campus is beautiful. I look forward to future visits to meet up with friends with some UofG food, and picnics with family on Johnston Green.
Visited and simply walked through the campus. Beautiful! I love how it's overgrown. Everyone was extremely friendly.
Great for studying
I'm biased because I've spent 7 years of my life at this university through two completely different programs. The campus is beautiful and filled with a wider variety of plants than most people realize. Top-notch profs are open to talking with students and doing guest lectures for student organizations. Research done here is known worldwide - especially in biology/ecology, biochemistry, agricultural sciences, and landscape architecture. Social activism on campus is uplifting and rarely do we see hate thrown around, but when we do everyone around jumps in to defend the victim. We also are privileged with having a BEAUTIFUL arboretum, university choirs, Curtain Call Productions, and we'll have a brand new athletics center this fall. The city is just as fantastic as the university too. I love Guelph :)
Great food and friendly people at Creelman!!
Best time of my life!
Doing their best to allow people to still play hockey
Staff and students very helpful. I know my son is safe and in good hands.
I love the monster statute at the entrance.
Moment to appreciate irresponsible admission staffs.....
Our family has been attending these camps regularly for several years. I can’t express enough how amazingly well these camps are run. They are led by an exceptional leader - Kevin Linder - who is fabulous at picking an amazing team. Very grateful that we have such an amazing program in town!!!
Love it
Our experience moving our grandson into the University was a friendly welcoming organized experience. The people we wonderful and helpful and we got a sense of team spirit throughout. Just by the first impression and experience we knew and felt that a student attending this University will get all the help and attention they need to succeed . Hats off to the staff and volunteers that made his transition a breeze! Thank you!
Beautiful campus! Nice profs and friendly students!
I got covid shot there everyone so happy and helpful thanks to everyone that made this happen!!!!!
I love my university. It is not as diverse as Toronto (it's getting there) but people here are great! The university itself is very nice! I love going to this university.
Excellent University
The worst university ever in terms of Internship program !, Useless management, support & placement coordinator. No one pays attention for the applications, no one is having a proper / good contacts in any reputable company in order to secure an internship opportunity ... Time Wasters ... Students are on their own to search & secure an internship !!, The worst college in Ontario is having better service & program management than these
Great school
Great school. Tight-knit community with easy accessibility to professors and staff.
Great invironment and awesome place to study.
Over the years I have worked here on and off and the parking is very expensive and if you forget to display your ticket that is a $70 fine. Doesn't matter if it's your first time or not.
I am pursuing MENG mechanical engineering, I must say it's one the best University of canada. The campus is truly amazing.
Great school
Seemed like a nice place with plenty of student workspace and places to eat
Best University ever.
Very helpful admission officer, both at the university fair and through email correspondence compared to some other schools. Hopefully, I will become a student of GuelphU next year.
School filled with great staff as well as a great convocation for sure!! Will recommend it only if you enjoy a good amount of personal time and the choice of being able to be social, it offers both. Great for agriculture related degrees as well as being the safest city in ontario.
