When we arrived at Helicraft the people were very kind and friendly! They took the time to explain us the trip. The pilot was not only a good pilot but also a good touristic guide. He gives tips about the city and fun facts to know. He asked us if we like big thrills and made us discover some cool tricks he can do with the helicopter. I booked two 30 minute Montreal tour flights for 5 people - a surprise for my wife's 60th birthday. Our flights were scheduled for 11am. It takes over 1 hour to get there so left at 9:15am because we need to be there at 10:30am. A single call came in at 9:27 en route from an unknown number. My son googled it, but it was not related to helicraft. No f/u call, no text msg, no email. So after over an hour on the road, we arrived to discover that the flights were cancelled. Supposedly some issue at the airport which they were only informed of at 9:30. There are factors which they cannot control of course, however I was very disappointed and frustrated that a minimal attempt was made to contact us, and we wasted over 2 hours travel and gas there and back. I cancelled immediately. Benjamin from Helicraft called and offered special arrangements to consider. A shame that level of customer service was only available after cancelling my $1000+ booking. I'll book flights somewhere else, and hopefully they have more consideration. There are several other options available. I'll post of review accordingly. --- F/U to Helicraft response: I can concur that that is essentially what happened. With a cancellation 1.5 hours before flight time, the questions are: - Did Helicraft do the minimum (single phone call from unknown number), or could they have done more (email, text, call from Helicraft #)? - Was Helicraft reactive (special offer only after “surprise” complaint email), or could they have been proactive (special offer upon arrival at Helicraft when finding out flight was cancelled, or a call or email before complaint e-mail) - Could Helicraft have treated their customer with more consideration under these circumstances? In my opinion there is room for improvement.

Not wanting to spoil the moment of my daughter and her friend, I checked when I got home on the Helicraft site that it was indeed a 20-minute OVERVIEW of Montreal and not a flight briefing and photos included. So I sent an email to confirm it to Hélicraft, and I had the answer that it took 45 minutes in all with the briefing, photos and explanations and that the overview was good e 20 minutes. When I called next to understand why we only flew over Montreal for 11 minutes (takeoff and landing included), and the manager realized that in fact I was not a new customer, but the customer of 'yesterday ... the message was totally different: it was no longer 20 minutes overflight but 20 minutes in all and that 11 minutes of flight was impossible, it was minimum 13 minutes in very strong winds. Except that the 10-minute overflights are offered by this company, so it's only getting in and out of the helicopter without flying ?! The manager's bad faith surprised and disappointed me a lot because I am used to flying over many places by helicopter and this is the first time that I have been confronted with a dishonest company that is hurting flight times ( while on the site it is well specified SURVOL). We do not charge 20 minutes when we fly over the city only 10, and we comment on what we see as expected in the advertisement. So pay attention to the OVERVIEW time and watch your watch! (Original) J'ai offert à ma fille et à son amie (dont c'était le baptême de l'air) un "survol de Montréal de 20 minutes" pour 297CAN$) à 19 heures lundi 7 août 2017 pour pouvoir bénéficier de la belle lumière du soir. Hélicoptère en bon état et bon pilote. MAIS, le survol n'a duré que de 18h55 à 19h06 (11 minutes!!!). Nous n'avons eu aucun commentaires sur Montréal par le pilote, et j'ai dû réclamer le certificat de baptême pour l'amie de ma fille comme dans tous les vols d'hélicoptère (ils ont arrêté de les donner car "les gens en faisaient des boules" a dit le manager... je n'y crois pas une seconde!). Ne voulant pas gâcher le moment de ma fille et son amie, j'ai vérifié en rentrant à la maison sur le site d'Hélicraft qu'il s'agissait bien d'un SURVOL de Montréal de 20 minutes et non d'un vol briefing et photos inclus. J'ai donc envoyé un mail pour en avoir la confirmation à Hélicraft, et j'ai eu comme réponse qu'il fallait compter 45 minutes en tout avec le briefing, les photos et explications et que le survol était bien e 20 minutes. Quand j'ai appelé ensuite pour comprendre pourquoi nous n'avions survolé Montréal que 11 minutes (décollage et atterrissage inclus), et que le manager s'est aperçu qu'en fait je n'étais pas une nouvelle cliente, mais la cliente d'hier... le message était totalement différent : ce n'était plus 20 minutes de survol mais 20 minutes en tout et que 11 minutes de vol, c'était impossible, c'était minimum 13 minutes en cas de très grand vent. Sauf que les survols de 10 minutes sont proposés par cette entreprise, alors ce n'est que rentrer dans l'hélicoptère et en sortir sans voler?! La mauvaise foi du manager m'a beaucoup surprise et déçue car j'ai l'habitude de survoler beaucoup d'endroits en hélicoptère et c'est la 1ère fois que je suis confrontée à une entreprise malhonnête qui rogne sur le temps de vol (alors que sur le site il est bien précisé SURVOL). On ne facture pas 20 minutes quand on ne survole la ville que 10, et on fait des commentaires sur ce que l'on voit comme prévu dans la publicité. Faites donc bien attention au temps de SURVOL et regardez votre montre!
