You will be able to see the reviews of real people like you who buy the services of Concordia University (University) in Port-Cartier area (Canada).
At this moment the firm has a rating of 4.1 out of 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is good, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the evaluation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This University belongs to the category of University.
Best school ever!
Concordia University is one of the landmarks in Montreal Quebec Canada
Overall great institution, easy access, lots of cool places nearby.
Lived in residence (Jesuit) for 8 months. The mini-campus at Loyola is more tranquil than the busy downtown campus. The residence itself is too noisy and the walls are rather thin.
Great university! Love going to this campus in the summer.
Great stuff and system
They help honestly regardless of the way 1 dresses and offer multiple financing
Let's start by stating that I've been doing my bachelor's degree at Concordia for the past 2 years in Computer Science. People often say that teachers are crazy but that's going a bit over the limit. Sure not all teachers are great but neither are all students. I've personally met some of my best teachers at Concordia (Aiman Latif Hanna is a good example). Teachers like these compensate for all the bad ones you will meet. Some people also tend to exagerate a teacher's lack of teaching skills simply because they have a hard time with the class and aren't bothered to study. The key to success is not only having a great teacher but also being a great student. That being said, the reason why I remove 2 stars is because of the shady activities happening behind the scene at Concordia. Bureaucracy there is complete and utter garbage. The information system has been very poorly designed, untested, and clearly overpaid for. Budget cuts for teaching assistants, maintenance of classrooms, and overall cleaning are making the experience miserable, or even unbearable sometimes. Luckily, the student base at Concordia is awesome. You get to meet all kinds of people from different corners of the globe, and you get to work with (mostly) dedicated students. It is expensive but I think that's a standard for every University. I recommend if for engineering and business degrees in English, especially if you don't like McGill's crowd.
I am truely enjoying getting my education, but the management and bureaucracy of the university itself makes it miserable and soul crushing to be here.
Great Education!
It is my favourite place to study
One of the top universities in Canada and home to world renowned ivy league John Molson School of Business. Place for smartest minds in the world to collaborate and make the world a better place.
Good university, but don't expect teachers to spoon-feed the knowledge to you.
Good place for late night studies. But it’s a bit hard to find a place to study. Crowd everywhere.
Stunning historical buildings
Université Concordia: best choice of quality and colorful clothes.

If you're thinking of enrolling in classes here during the pandemic, save your money, time & mental health by just taking a break. I study mechanical engineering here and it seems like very few professors care about the mental state of their students. The workload this semester compared to previous semesters is not manageable and induces high levels of pressure on the students with constant deadlines. You will be constantly working and yet will always be behind somehow! I have no social life this semester whatsoever not because of the pandemic but because I spend my entire days working on those damn lab reports. If you do choose to enrol take as many of Dr. Hany Gomaa's classes, he is truly a remarkable professor.
Massive favouritism, inconsistency in grading, ignorance in the teachers at times, and irrelevant test material compared to what is being taught.
As an institution for education it fails. As an unimpressive uninspired example of bad architecture it exceeds.
This campus has all the necessary facilities for the students. From obvious things like residences and cafes up to bookstore and gym. If you are looking for entertaining life experience, then consider living in one of residences on Loyola.
Don't take the elevators.

Did a drop off, very little visible activity on Campus (due to Covid-19 prevention measures) The campus grounds look fresh and well maintained.
Terrible administration and student services. Can never get anything done because either the line is busy or you get ping-ponged between 2 offices because no one wants to do their job. While I had good teachers in maths, those I had in computer science were AWFUL. Bad teachers and bad programmers that took bad code practices in their examples to whole new levels. For computer science, in my experience, this is literally the last place you should consider. The other students were very friendly though so they have that going for them, which is nice.
I work there!
Amazing place
Though I only have classes at the Downtown campus I can still say that this is an absolutely gorgeous campus. I go here a lot to study in their library. Wish I actually had class here.

I visited Concordia as a prospective student from the United Kingdom. I never had the pleasure to pursue my studies there but what made me really reach out and review was due to the experience I had when I was researching. I visited the …
Pretty old building - a bit ugly on the inside, but nice campus outside.
I studied there for 2 years. So far I can tell I'm quite satisfied with the service Concordia provides to the students, particularly international students.
is it true even without IELTS they allow students to enrol?
Great space but librarians are rude.
Had great guidance here and looking forward to join the program.
Very nice building, especially because is directly connected to the subway and you don't need to go outside.
Very, very old building, very difficult to find your classroom due to poor indications.
Great
Good school
Can’t wait to see what I can learn from this university.
Got education AND a girlfriend. Would recommend :)
It's a somewhat decent school with some good and some bad professors. Its got a cool campus, and some nice buildings like the EV and MB. Otherwise, here's been my experience: The school's courses are practically all unavailable (especially if you're trying to fulfill your non-JMSB requirements), 90% of my midterms have been on a Sunday, and overlapping with each other I have had nothing but problems with the administration, and In my critical thinking class, I got penalized for not repeating the textbook verbatim... Do what you will with this information, this is just my experience with the school
Very good visiting UAV lab with Dr. Youmin
They never answer the phone, they never answer an email. None of the staff seems to know anything about anything. IF they respond to your email it’s weeks/months later and they just refer you to another person who doesn’t answer and the vicious circle continues.
Concordia University (French: Université Concordia; commonly referred to as Concordia) is a public comprehensive research university located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.[5] Founded in 1974 following the merger of Loyola College and Sir George Williams University, Concordia is one of the three universities in Quebec where English is the primary language of instruction (the others being McGill and Bishop's). As of the 2018-19 academic year, there were 46,829 students enrolled in credit courses at Concordia, making the university among the largest in Canada by enrollment.[4][6] The university has two campuses, set approximately 7 kilometres (4 miles) apart: Sir George Williams Campus is the main campus, located in Downtown Montreal in an area known as Quartier Concordia; and Loyola Campus in the residential district of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
So much to see and do. Even for non students
Nice university
(Translated) Very easy to access by metro Station Guy Concordia, well integrated architecture, (Original) Très facile d'accès par le métro Station Guy Concordia, architecture bien intégré,
Great open atmosphere University. The downtown Sir George Wilfred Campus have a modern city vibe to it. It also has another campus in NDG called Loyola Campus which is more green and have old building.
Meh, at least 4 better option in Montreal.
Beautiful campus, I enjoyed taking all of my advanced science courses here.
Great University and great campus and facilities.
Awful teaching ethics, training rather than educating and almost $2000 per semester and cannot even get decent wifi. Funny.
Go elsewhere if you can. Personal learning experience, it is just a third tier institution, avoid if you are accepted elsewhere. What a biased institution. They let students do pretty much what they want through various organized things, this place will never be held accountable. If you add the ruling PM's wing to my logo, this is what this institution has became (Jonah Goldberg and Orwellian). I can't breath.
I have very good experience there
(Translated) I will be there very soon, excellent place (Original) Muy pronto estaré ahi, lugar excelente
3 graduation pictures in digital format cost 100CAD!! Are you kidding ppl! You are milking these student as you want! At this university you have to pay for everything to the maximum. Have some mercy ppl. We are just students.
Good uni

It is a clean and busy place.
I went to Concordia University and I loved it! Best experience, right in the middle of everything.
My education there has been meaningful and insightful to say the least. It's life education in every sense. I've taken courses at other universities but they missed the practicality that I received in Concordia. Most professors had successful businesses...
Best University...
Concordia University Library a Place where time stops and research begins...
Big place to learn
Great campuses.
I got accepted and didn't even recieved an LOA!!! In my account it says expires on June 1, but its 24th and I do not have the offer letter, it's conditional ! I can't blindly go and pay deposit! Pathetic this is not a professional way of doing things, not expected from Concordia! *better apply to other universities there are many and you will actually be able to track your application much easily, and will not end up wasting $120. Stay clear from this one, there are some other things also I won't say but read other reviews other students have already said all that.
Great University
This uni is hard all the time. Great profs, great friends for a lifetime!! I’m still friend with some of my profs from a long time ago! The education you get is life changing
Be careful. I graduated there 26 years ago and now I am unable to retrieve my transcripts or anything just because I can't remember my student ID from back then. I have called, emailed, etc. It is a huge deal as employers ask for that. Considering a Bachelor or other degree is a huge investment, I would't go there. To be dismissed like that is incomprehensible and unacceptable.
Great university! Nice campus
Great school
This is a nice school and a nice campus, but one time I got lost trying to find a building there. It seems like they could do a better job putting addresses and signs on buildings.
Its' pretty should be Unversity (NOT) night school as it is now !!! all the schedule done at (10 p.m )or (8.00 p.m)specially for the (Lab) at (Loyola campus)! How Can we be arrange up our time to study!! while we have to wake up early to attend the class at morning ,then around (4-5 hours break)until next class!!!! not logic at all !!! It is really (broken my day and night). To whom you reserve the morning class, we paid money to get (comfort) to study Not to let us down.

I had nice time for the Fantasia film festival.
This is my favorite campus in Montreal, it is wide, perfect for studying, and out of the chaotic city of Montreal. Also, the old Gothic architecture gives it a nice university vibe, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby.
Good IELTS testing center!

Not a bad university, but they bite more than they can chew.
Mcgill is better jk concordia is rich af
Only good times there! ...with some stress due to half-assed Computer science/engineering teachers with bad explanations, thus forcing you to do everything on your own... struggling to get above a B grade if you tend to go out with friends and skip some studying. Outside of faculty teachers and classes are much better, eg. JMSB teachers/classes, easily get a B+, without much effort but; 1. attend the classes, 2. listen and 3. do the work assigned, which isnt even that hard to accomplish. overall great place to study, glad to be part of the family! with that said, Concordia ftw!!!
Writing this during the pandemic. It is very crowded early to late afternoon, and a lot of people were not wearing masks. Stay safe out there!
Just save your money and time and apply in another university. Sincerely, a computer science student.
Facilities are kind of falling apart in some buildings. Nice campus though!
Recognized curriculum and certificates. Its also well situated around downtown area with buildings.
Wonderful Campus
it is meh
Great space but librarians are rude.
(Translated) Very good university, although I do not study there. I find it to be very complete. I work in the kitchen and have very good menus (Original) Muy buena universidad, aunque yo no estudio ahi. Encuentro que es muy completa. Trabajo en la cocina y tiene muy buenos menus
Beautiful campus with plenty of places to stady. Most of the times quite with pretty good restaurants around. Absolutely suggested, if you are looking for somewhere to study.
Bad experience with this university. I call minimum 10 times during their office hours until someone finally hears it and decides to pick up and after barely asking my first question they want to get me off the phone. And most of the time they don't know what they are talking about.

Looks like a great university to attend.
No guides between buildings you can easily be lost and miss your class
Very poor services. Extremely difficult to reach someone if you are having an issue registering classes or need assistance of some sort. It is a pretty decent education, but it's just a disaster to navigate the bureaucracy.
Modern building. Favourite building at the SGW Campus.
Concordia Continuing Education I was a student at CCE in CEFR 625. I have done almost every test, but I did miss the last one due to personal reasons. Yesterday I have asked CCE to arrange a delayed test for me, but got a reply this morning saying I have to re-register CEFR 625 to get the certficate. I am deeply disappointed about CCE. Only one last test was missed and now I have to re-do the whole thing. This is exactly the oppposite of @Concordia's motto. “The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values” I don't know what to believe in anymore.
Great preservation of the historical building. Concert hall is definitely one of the best among the Montreal universities. Area is quiet compared to its downtown campus.
Terrible!!!They don't care about their student at all,i don't know what the hell i did there!Worst place i have ever studied in Montreal!
I would recommend Concordia as a great option if you are working full-time and doing school part-time.
Good school. If you can, go to McGill instead.
It's nothing on McGill's campus, but it's at least a campus. The sports facilities and gym here are also quite good.
such a nice place to study
It's good
Cool spots to do sports all year long

It’s such good school
Go Stingers!! Love this uni and proud to be apart of it
Didnt like the experience at concordia, I didnt understand the teachers very well as they were foreign. So I dropped the courses. Now in in another school and I'm learning so much better than Concordia. Also they should hire teachers who can teach not like that Russian math teacher I had.
Concordia University have multiple campuses. Every floor has its own library and reading and discussion rooms. There are multiple labs on each floor. Definitely a great campus.
So far I am very happy with the service Concordia provides to the students.
The Halloween party at Concordia was quite enjoyable. A great combination of people, songs and dance made the evening memorable.
Concordia University is an indifferent university. There are needs to be better addressed during this review During the pandemic, it is hard to study online and do a Hybrid style year. For those on leave or absence, use this time to not enroll until this COVID-19 pandemic ends. Firstly, some of the staff, professors and other members are friendly, kind, sweet and genuine. While others are the opposite. So it depends who you want and vice versa. They should have better services for students of all backgrounds. I feel the quality of services I am getting are not that beneficial to me since it was not mentioned or promoted enough. Their downtown campus is not that environmental friendly. Loyola is the greenest campus they have. They should plant more trees, add green spaces, make it carbon negative and pollution free of possible. Also turn into a Zero Waste and a environmentally sustainable campus since they are on their way to Carbon Free by 2050 although that year is too soon too late. They should make it to 2030-2035 at the latest. The University feels rundowned. Almost everything is breaking apart. They need to renovate the e entire downtown school buildings because I feel that they need to update to today's century and it just feels better. If they renovate it I feels like a better atmosphere and inviting as well. As for now, Most of their buildings are crumbling like a glacier. They need to clean and improve it A.S.A.P. One benefit of the school is the Webster library. It's probably one of the simplistic and beautiful libraries I have ever been in and the layout and floor plan is well thought out. Also, it is located. near the Metro and most other students go their during their downtime. Most students who could not get into McGill come here to pursue their studies here and most students know that they have different programs that you can't find at McGill. This school should be a private Univeristy without any government support since it would be better and we get better services. Also it should be like McGill and Udem where they have green spaces and better learning opportunities and programs for students that want to make Concordia University their choice. Yes Concordia is a great University but they need to improve if they want to be the best in the city and in the world. As for English it is important and a lot of students from French institutions also come here as well and vice versa. I hope they improve and change the learning curriculum for future generations. But at the end of the day, all current and future staff, personnel and students should be polite and nice towards others and themselves now and in the future to make the world a better place with the education and services from Concordia University.
Online classes but tuitions for in-person. What's the logic?
I've graduated there in June 2010. It is a good institution, most of the teachers were competent and helpful and the needed resources were readily available. However, the social aspects of the student life were deplorable.
(Translated) Excellent university located in the heart of downtown Montreal. Several trainings in various fields of engineering are given there. Great uni! The faculty of urban planning has passionate teachers such as Dr Craig Townsend and Dr Jochen Jaeger who are great in their field. The university also has great facilities (great library and gym) it’s also very well connected with Montreal’s metro and underground city ( very handy when it’s -30C outside) The negative things of this uni were the lack of student life and social events, but Montreal is an exciting and fun city!
Very good education system, comparable to top world standards!
nice college
Took some classes at this uni as a visiting student, I absolutely loved it!
Nice to be part of it
top
If you're far left woke....have fun....everyone else has no absolutel no voice or rughts. This is not an institution that promotes discourse. Just parrots that all agree.
Lovely and comfortable
Had a good experience at Concordia, and met a lot of amazing friends.
Concordia's Loyola Campus received everything that is good about Concordia University, if only i could count the number of times i wish i was studying there instead of the downtown campus. Super nice architectural buildings, plants and trees, parks, clean classrooms, quiet library, huge playing field, sports and recreation center, friendly people. Loyola Campus is the place to be.
Located in downtown so student life there is quite abundant and convenient. One of the best universities in support of multiculturalism and equality.
History department is filled with professors who enjoy grading 200 classes like they are masters students. I came in as a transfer from suny plattsburgh and their history department was amazing compared to this. I barely learned anything and have never worked harder in my life just to lose ten points if the professor thought your argument was "weak" but refused to elaborate in comments on papers or vaguely respond to emails when I inquired. This isn't one professor there, it was four. I spent 6 hours reading reviews for ratemyprofessor while making my schedule for this upcoming semester to ensure I won't get so many ridiculous professors. I am hoping this route worked if not I'm transferring back to my old school...
Great facilities library has clean spaces and great environments. A variety of restaurant around.
I did my undergrad there and I think I would put it this way, if you're in a rush and just want to get your degree then this is the right place for you, but if you're looking for a place to learn and get yourself engaged in the programs and in the campus and experience a good student life then seek somewhere else.
Beautiful
Great place! lots of history associated with Concordia, great programs and great professors!
Good location in downtown Montreal, very good school.
this university is becoming increasingly unprofessional. Their faculty staff especially in the Fine Arts of which Ms Duclos is the dean,is so disrespectful to applicants , it's astounding. Art studies used to have a strong ,respectful community, but not anymore. Student counseling in general at Concordia is lacklustre, they seem to not really care about assisting students but more about 'politics' and image. Some of the staff are evasive/condescending and teachers are disengaged with their pupils . Aside from this their website for admissions is bugged /crashing & poorly designed. But of course if anything goes wrong its your fault. They have a god complex I imagine. When I find something good about it, will add it to this review.
It is very hard to obtain answers to your questions while in the process of applying to the university. Edit: a few years later, I am studying here and it is a fairly good university, lots of multiculturalism, and events.
Terrible!!!They don't care about their student at all,i don't know what the hell i did there!Worst place i have ever studied in Montreal!
Nice Building
Beautiful
9/10, would study here again.
Concordia Universty is perfect
Has an amazing reputation in the business world . However, some professors have thick English accent and almost impossible to understand them
I'm not rating on it adcademic quality, just the facilities. The toilet is not clean.

The campus is in dire need of repairs (except JMSB), the school itself is poorly organized and corruption is rampant
Garbage institution promoting and funding leftards political agendas stay away from this dump
Awesome shot
main building where all the classes are conducted, always crowded, only 2 elevators that are always full and takes more time to return. only 2 food options but vending machines available. in house are various support service offices.
Old building in need of renovation- bathrooms are a little rough but I see they’re getting there with renovations on some floors
we ask
Very great university, many programs are free. Love it.
24/24 hours library
I enjoyed my time there during my studies. The department was in the middle of downtown and the accessibility was perfect.
The downtown campus is close to everything but if you want some peace and quiet I would suggest living at the Loyola campus. It is nice and is only one street away from St.Catherine's St. so that is a plus.

Amazing university. Good reputation. Clean and organized
Very nice library building, not allowed to stay past a certain time unless you are a student at Concordia (for study time reasons). Very comfy seating almost anywhere you want to have a group meeting you can. Not too much security or patrols. Private areas on every floor. Couches, seats, benches, huddle bubbles, colourful place, with fantastic lighting. Haven't been in a while though. Not sure if it is open to the public in these times so I'd call ahead.

Horrible terrible school
Nice place can call it actually university. So great faculties who can teach you very well even you can get so many opportunities there which can make your future brighter and better. Reception is very helpful and can find metro station under university building which is the best thing for students and for real time saving.
Great arena and sports complex. Especially post renovation, the rooms are cleaner and much more spacious!
Proud to be a Concordian!!
Alot of social justice warriors!
Great education for software engineering degree!
Like all Universities it's an overrated scam that favors rich kids and the elite. Corrupt place too and a joke of a philosophy.
Great college! One of the key strengths is the ample culture that surrounds the particular career chosen... It's based on the principle that this is just one step in building a strong education and providing the tools for personal growth. So it was for me! Some of the buildings are old but they added to the flavour of studying complimentary elective subjects such as philosophy, psychology, 18th century UK FR, etc. My concentration was economics.

I mean it’s been alright but they rly don’t care about students with disabilities. Also they’re basically like “hey you want ur degree? too bad you have to get COVID-19 too!”
The modern style of the campus is simply amazing
If you want to come here as an international student especially for masters, Don't do it, Run away, these guys are more like scammers, you have much better options in mcgill or Udem
terrible experience as a PhD student.
Why does this school's staff answering the phones give me such attitude? Everyone I have spoken to has given me the answer "I don't know", or has treated me like my question isn't worth their time. No one assuring me help, no one treating me with respect, and I believe I have averaged six calls to answer one question. The lack of customer service is horrible, and I think they have lost touch that they are providing us a service. We deserve respect. Thus far, my university experience has been very difficult, due to the arrogance.
Plz stop the concert cannot sleep. Too much botheration for residence.
Good university
Great place , nice people
I feel very grateful to have spent my time at a great school
I wish I could rate lower. I go to JMSB, but got exploited by my teacher. The entire class was obliged to work for her and her relatives' companies. We had no choice but to drop the class. That class was BTM 480.
Really nice campus in the heart of NDG Peaceful, unlike the hustle and bustle of downtown campus Shuttle bus connects both campuses and runs at 20-30 min intervals
Beautiful campus. Great school. Take the dog for a walk there nearly every day.
This university is more like a research institute. Most of the profs don’t know how to teach because they don’t care about the students success, they only care about their research. If you want to learn anything from them, just forget about it. You learn everything basically by yourself. The stuff in concordia are some how stupid and ignorant. They don’t know what they are doing most of the time. They don’t care about you, the only thing they care is whether you paid your money to them or not. I don’t recommend this uni. If you can apply for a better uni, avoid as much as you can. But, you can’t go to other unis, and you still want a degree, then welcome to this money-making/careless barn.

An well-academic university for international student
This place actually turned me off education. Poor services, indifferent teachers and could not seem to find the right fit.
Everything is reopened... yet can’t talk to anyone at Concordia..... no support, no help.... have been calling and leaving messages for 3 months !! So sad ! I am out !
Administration service --> the worst I've ever experienced.
Worst University in whole Canada, non interactive staff, don't respond to emails and bad mouthed program coordinator.
I went to Concordia University from 1993 to 2001. I got two degrees: BA (Honours) and MA, both in History. My undergraduate experience was very good as I exposed myself to a general History program in terms of geography and time period. There were certain difficulties that I experienced which I will not go into detail here. Suffice it to say my academic and extra-academic activities were very enjoyable and very memorable. My graduate experience was fair to good. I had an opportunity to sample the academic life without any pleasures or rewards associated with it. The problem was that the Concordia History Department was in the process of transition, and change is not always smooth or trouble free. In addition it was the free reign of PC in all its ugly and unattractive manifestations. I have to say that I sympathize with the goals and aims of the PC movement: tolerance, inclusion, acceptance of all within the university community. I disagreed and still do with the methodology and underlying assumptions of PC, namely speech and behaviour codes. Moreover I lost my father part way through the research for my MA thesis, which illustrated to me if nothing else the strange new world the PC crowd were trying to create. It has now been over 11 years since I graduated from Concordia with two degrees in hand and ready to take my leap into the world. It hasn't been entirely successful, but that is more my doing and the state of the world than anything else. I still remember my thesis supervisor, Dr. Frank Chalk, with respect and fondness. Certain other professors touched my life either lightly or heavily, but all of them are remembered one way or another. I would recommend Concordia to anyone planning to go to university. I would do so with a word of warning: make sure you know what it is you want in university and then just do it! Thanks for your time!
Everything and everybody even slightly associated with Concordia is horrible.
Student's evaluations about the course and professor does not matter. Some profs are very bad, I don't know why they are retaining such profs, it not good for the future of students.Academic advisers do not listen.Sadly, this university is here to monetize their interests from international students.Highly unsatisfied.
The best!

Good to work again in office at Concordia
This is one BS university. Teachers don't give damn about student. This is a dating university where teachers set up students to date each other in the name of project. Wasted my money for this university. If you don't listen to them they fail you.
Located at the Centre of Montreal, this English speaking university is favorite choice for student who can't make it to McGill university. It has two campus, Sir George Williams Campus and Loyola Campus, students can enjoy clubs, bars, sports, professional networks, and support services to balance your life, work and study. There's beautiful library downtown people can use their restroom. Lots of students come from other countries, which means they bring funding to the school. It has more than 50,000 students. They offer room at Campus and meal plan. It offers free wifi for registered students.
Amazing faculty and firsts class facilities
I love this campus and the library is very good for studying.
Great school for summer courses
Horrible Evening -night schedule at Loyola Camps (Biochemistry program ). Im wondering Where the Morning time schedule gone All the time . Please, organize the time and courses credit ,rather to get accepted more students without places to improve your rate unversity!!!! Just think about students rather the Money!
Good
Area is quiet compared to its downtown campus.
Best school in town
Work hard Louis, you're on your way.
I met incredible people here and the teachers are amazing. I wouldn't change anything.
I had no expectations, but somehow I'm still disappointed..The food sucked but Tim's had good vibes
very good business and engineering school
Enh, at least it's not UQAM
The facilities are modern, though there is a bunch of low-down teachers. There are three type of teachers over there. 1.old-schooled with 80s methods. 2.unexperienced and young teachers. 3. Acceptable teachers. The acceptable teachers are about 15%.
Soooo much student services. Many students are not even aware but there is always an office dedicated to your problem. Employees are always super knowledgeable and helpful. The only negative point is that some teachers here are really useless... but I guess it's the same everywhere. Also there are a lot of events for students but there is a lack of communication around them, it's hard to know what's going on. The uni is so huge that sometimes you feel a bit lonely and you don't know where to begin to make friends.
This is not the University listing, and should be removed.

Concordia is one of those schools where your experience can be very good or very bad depending on what you pursue. I personally had great semesters and some not so great semesters, it all depends. It helps to read course descriptions and professor ratings and it also helps to become informed of campus activities and to be proactive. The difference between being a passive student and a participatory student who knows their professors can really change the experience. Some professors are great and professional, while others have no aptitude for teaching. It also helps that classes are relatively small and that makes participation and learning a bit easier, along with the fact that most students are mature and like to learn, though you do end up with some interesting classmates though most people are not super competitive and many professors like changing up activities. The only thing I really hated was how the grading followed a normal distribution curve. In general the school runs pretty automatic and you wouldn't even have to see an academic advisor or anything but it helps to. It also helps that Concordia downtown campus has a great location and you have amenities like great food options, an art museum and public transit all within walking distance.
Not a student but very disappointed how the student service office is dealing with requests. Im living in the EU and tried to get any kind of helpful answer for an actually urgent matter for weeks now. First didn't get any reply at all, and then got referred to various offices that all do something but not what I need, are expensive, and can only be contacted by mail or in person (which is impossible and ridiculously time consuming when being 4500km away). Whoever replied to the emails didn't seem to have read a bit of it or didn't care at all.
I took a poop here
The best university in Canada for computer science.
There are plenty of programs offered here and the environment is very positive....
loving it there.
Life about to look forward for better way to achieve success and good future by learning and open his sight of eye to see the blind spot that he never discover the other side let's your spirit fly out of your body to the see world how moving around you when you walking the beautiful things touched by your ray of brightness heart keep going to achieve your dream don't let things distracting you from the goal that you born to have focusing work hard look at up touch the blue sky to clear your mind from all things that take you away mentally from realties
Great campus with lots of trees and areas to take in the outdoors. The fields are well maintained
Bad customer service
Warning everyone planning to go to this school professors can't speak proper English and class sizes are huge! Think twice before coming here because you will be treated as just another number...
It's a school... It's far from things but pretty looking.
Not as great as JMSB but still spacious except during exam times
Empty
You can pay your way into getting in this school. McGill rejects are the cream of the crop here.

I litterally live here
Applied to this university for next spring. It has been more than 3 months now trying to contact one of their professors because i need a supervisor as part of the application. I have sent him several messages but no single reply.I have sent the university an Email more than a week ago but still no response. I think that no body cares at this university. This is a joke compared to how universities deal with future students here in the US. I don’t know if this is how they deal with their future students and how competent they are. This gave me the idea that if i study here, i will have many problems which are considered easy issues in other colleges.
It's Htpk

A lot of full time students will have to wait an extra year plus to graduate because key credit classes are booked solid for lack of staff. They made false promises to students publicly that staff would be hired and the courses would be made available. 8 months later they've done nothing and countless students are in limbo. The mental anguish of these students is real and Concordia should be held accountable.
Really bad washrooms with cockroaches, spotty WiFi, just overall a horrible building
I thinks its culture is punctual and its educational activityes are so good
Best school ever!
- Crazy teachers , -you should pay A LOT for every LITTLE thing, -NOT have a strong student union, - crazy law for using calculators for engineers, - crowd classes even for masters students!!! - Some departments are careless about their students(Exp. Department of civil and building engineer ) - In one word, it is ONLY a research center, NOT UNIVERSITY, all facilities are provided for researching, NOT EDUCATING.
Loved this campus! Smallest of the two Concordia campuses, it is welcoming, warm and innovative. Great supporting services. Good sports facilities to be active year round. A shuttle service brings students and staff from one campus to the other. All your need is your Concordia ID.
Teacher Frank Crooks had sexual harassment with his female students at his office and school couldn't do much about it . Is that hard for them to conduct justice in Quebec? Due to the current sexual harassment storm in other country, justice needs to be seen and young women need to be protected! just want to give new students a warning if you are , unfortunately taking his class.
The best academic department in Canada.
I was graduated last year in Concordia in the program of master of Building engineering. I passed 11 main courses. I only had one or two professor whom you could call them professor. The rest were awfully ineligible of teaching as a master professor. This department had a many issues and nobody was responsive. We had a lot of so called professors who they could not speak English fluently let alone their technical knowledge. We had several issues with professors in terms of materials and gradings. We took some of these issues to the chair and the head of the department but they unprofessionally ignored us by not even responding our emails or by telling us that it is the professor who decides although they had always promised us to help and take part in any concern or issue that we encounter. I have heard from many people that in the department of engineering you will feel that there are a lot of favoritism acts in selecting the employees and their behaviors against students. I guess that is the major problem, and unfortunately, it is going to ruin the reputation of this department and this university. I wish I had achieved something out of the 2 year program and the large amount of money I spent on it.
Good University !
