You have all the opinions of real people who use the products of Trillium College - Oshawa Campus (University) in the territory of Oshawa (Canada).
Nowadays the firm has a score of 2.4 over 5 and this score is based on 31 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is very weak, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we may be quite sure that the score is very accurate. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This University belongs to the category of College.
Idiots sent my account to collection after making zero attempts to contact me. Save yourself the grief and go to a real school.
I'm going to be honest here the ONLY reason I learned anything from the course I took was because the teacher was absolutely amazing. HOWEVER when I first signed on with the school they told me that despite the start date was 2 days before my osap restriction would be lifted, I would be fine. Geuss what I wasn't and it took MONTHS of harassing the school and the organization that approves the documentation before my osap was finally released. All because someone wanted their commission a month earlier. In addition to this they had my teacher (who was the only one who taught ALL subjects for this program) teach 4 DIFFERENT subjects during the same time slot. So not only was I going nearly 30k into debt to attend for the 2 years, I was getting 1/4th of the effort because the poor teacher had to split the same amount of time among different subjects. When I contacted the school about this the school outright ignored me. And to top it all off... I did NOT receive job search assistance as advertised. Just run, its not worth the debt.
I really wanted to be able to find a school that was accomodating and has a non-bias approach to working with students. As a woman going back into school after years, I have found that Trillium College offers a wonderful and interactive program for my career choice as a PSW. I wanted to give a sincere and hearty review for the services recieved by Career coach Steven Berenstein. He was very accomodating and informative while reaching me at my level and helping me to understand the best practices and provided best advice for finally attempting to go back to school. This was not an easy decision however the staff I was able to work with such as Steven and Jacqui Coleman made the experience much easier and now i feel i will strive with greatness and for that i am most thankful ! Thank you to both of you wonderful people for making the decison to go back to school a great experience for me.
Was looking very forward to one of the courses, but because personal reasons I was looking to cancel and post pone my appointments for Funding and the Mature assessment, seeing as the previous week I was in the hospital and did not have the energy in the day to do the tests. When I tried calling the front desk the lady at the front in a VERY RUDE tone responded. "What you want me to cancel your massage appointments?" Very terrible that the front desk speaks to potential students like that, cancelled everything all together and will not be looking into the institution any further.
Worst school ever.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME OR ENERGY ON THIS JOKE OF A SCHOOL!!!.Took Pharmacy and the college mislead all students in program to believe they would be a Pharm Tech..not a chance.. The program was $11,000 and you do not need their rediculous program to get an assistant job. I repeat please do not waste your money. It should not even be called a college.
I went into this place in late fall of 2015 to check out one of their programs. The place looks like a dump once you get past the reception area. The woman I spoke with was very pushy about signing up (she must work on commission) and printed me up an offer letter. The offer letter, however, had the name of the wrong program on it. I just left and never looked back.
Trillium College truly helped me get my career on track.....it is a very good place to go to school
I have always had a huge interest in being a corrections officer, working in police foundations or working with troubled youth but I was always just stuck on which career path I would actually like to pursue in because I think personally I would enjoy doing all of them equally! The past couple weeks I started to look into college program’s and today everything started coming to life I guess you could say. An AMAZING career coach named Steven Berenstein from trillium helped me figure out what sounded like the best fit for me, we got my application submitted for The Law and Security program! Jacqui Coleman is an excellent financial planner! I was super nervous about tuition as is every student but Jacqui made me feel confident in the plan we made! Such a pleasure speaking with both of these lovely/helpful people today! Let me just say before I joined this zoom meeting I was so nervous, anxious, my hands were shaking and I had butterflies but by the end of that meeting I was just so full of joy, excitement, confident and just could not stop smiling ear to ear!! I am so happy to finally have figured out what program I want to do. Now I am taking this next step in my life and I honestly just cannot wait to start my program in April!!
I inquired about a Business Management program for a relative ... the college called me back would not tell me anything about the program ... insisted that the only way to obtain any information about the program was to have a one on one zoom meeting, we were just looking for basic information to see if the college would be a fit for them, the women got snarky, would give any general info...so that is how they handle potential students ... not professional at all. UPDATE ... I just proceeded with what the was posted below ... I tried two campuses and could not get in touch in with anyone who could provide me with any information??? Maybe they don't need any new students because I can not get any info on the Business Management Program no matter what platform I try!!!
I wanted to apply for a program and all colleges which i was applying for asked me about 100$ For checking my document.( which was nonrefundable)but this college wanted to charge me about 500$ and it was really shocking. I changed my mined and decided not to go there and now i read others reviews and i am satisfied with my decision.
Very professional, super helpful. Steven and Jacqui helped me overcome my fear of taking that first step of going to college, huge thanks to those two wonderful people for helping me start my journey of becoming a Police Officer. I couldn’t of done it without you both, can’t wait to start this April.
I had been debating going back to school for a while so made an appointment to chat. They were extremely pushy forced me to sign up for a program even though I asked to take pamphlets home because it was nearly 3 times the price of any other school. They tried to convince me to get osap i ended up leaving the meeting only to get home and see 4 emails where they informed me I was enrolled and signed up for osap. It has been 2 years and they still continue to call me trying to get me and convince me go come to their school no matter how many times I say no. Now that I blocked their numbers they have started texted me from different numbers. I can't say wether it is a good school or not, all i can say is the staff is extremely unprofessional and harassing.
Weeks of calling and emailing and still not a single response. My wife is supposed to start next month and there has been zero communication. She's actively been trying to contact them and the one person she got ahold of told her they quit their job at trillium so they can no longer help. I can't believe places like this are allowed to operate.
I had recently dropped out from my last college as it wasn't for me. I stayed out of school for about 3-4 months until I saw the PSW program at Trillium College. I live in the Kingston area but my Career Coach Steven Berenstein is apart of the Oshawa school. Steven was very straight forward and helpful for explaining the school, how it functions, and the benefits of being apart of the Trillium College. Any question I had or could have had was answered immediately and was easy to understand. I also got a chance to meet my financial help Jacquie Coleman who was immensely helpful in explaining payment plans that I could do as the price for the course is higher than other public colleges. She also offered help in apply for OSAP which my other college did not offer at all. Just from the few zoom calls and emails I have already felt more cared than I ever had at my other college. I can't wait for February 7 when my course starts!
I have only been a trillium college student for a short time and I can tell you my experience here so far is amazing. The instructors are very nice, carrer coaches will help you find the right program for you. The placement/employment person is really nice and will find you a placement and job of your dreams. The academic person is amazing and will give you all the help you need! I would highly recommend this college and their PSW program!! ????
Returning to Trillium College thus far has been nothing but pleasant. I decided to go back to school to complete the Personal Support Worker program. I was contacted right away by Steven Berenstein and from there everything was been taken care of with a pleasant and prompt attitude and complete professionalism! I am a returning student and with everyday struggles throughout this pandemic, having others treat you like you are a human is important. Jacqui Coleman and Steven Berenstein have walked me through the process and helped me get to the next step in my new journey. Trillium College has been an experience I will never forget and having these two individuals support has made a big difference in entering a new program! Trillium College is a great school & I will be recommending the programs I’ve taken and the campus to all of my friends!
They only care about getting your money. A diploma from this school + $2.00 will get you a cup of coffee
This place is a joke. I owe $32,654 in student debt. My first teacher was amazing but got bullied by the "cool kids" to the point of crying and leaving, then the new teacher was a hippie and favored the "cool kids" I had high grades, perfect attendance, but got expelled from a place I was paying to go to for standing up for myself to the teacher and her followers. Don't go here. I'm considering a law suit. Never graduated, even though I only had 7 weeks left of placement
Trillium College is a for profit private career college, whose sole premise is provide in demand, quality second career training in a shorter time frame. While no post-secondary institution is perfect, Trillium College-Oshawa fails in being fully transparent with perspective students, utilizing high pressure sales tactics as a coercive feature with the premise that any questions will be addressed upon enrolment. If Trillium College wants to fulfill its sole premise to provide in demand, quality second career training, it must be fully transparent in its interactions with potential students, that is low pressure and supportive.
My full review was to long to be posted here....do not waste your time going there...very poorly managed. My full review will also be posted on the Gm Oshawa employee group as they are trying to recruit for after the shutdown. If your debt was sold without notice call equifax and they will remove it then contact the ministry of training and your member of parliament. Don't waste your time trying to contact Andrew jones and his team they are useless. Cheers!!!
